I think that’s the issue I have as well. I calculated the payouts and even with the added emoticon, it wasn’t worth it to spend/compete in some of the last events. Scopely should have known the full amount of currency possible and accounted for it. It’s not like they couldn’t have prepared this, even if they change events last minute, they should have had some infinite consolation pull

It's simple. If you plan an arc and have event store where vast majority is paying out event store tokens I would calculate what is the max tokens needed to unlock everything in event store and what can you possibly get through all events (including being #1 in every single SLB).
This doesn't even include Cash Packs.
This is such an easy task that can either be done automated or if lazy by some intern. Just write down every number and add it together. No magic. Could give the task to a little child 🤷

If you are supposed to have surplus after unlocking everything it should have been communicated in first place.

I would think the same. Bundle limits should account for maximum possible participation/spend (even when you buy such ridiculously worthless stuff like the FKR Elite recruit prime during the heroic event). But they missed the mark. Twice.

So another explanation is, that they might have something like a set budget for officer sourcing (even if it's chance based) that they don't want to exceed.

That is purely luck based. Some people could have unlocked Borg queen with the packs while others don't even have 20 shards through pack even tho they opened every single pack.

Hey guys, for the first time I didn't get the Military Supremacy event along with CoW event. I checked with my teammates who are also Ops level 35, which is where I am, and they confirmed they have it. I searched around and didn't find any other conditions that is required for me to have this event, so I contacted Scopely, and 3x they told me it's because I do not meet the 'requirement', and yet they wouldn't elaborate that those requirements are. Do any of you have an idea or have knowledge of this?

Their lies the problem at event reset the biggest issue is everyone logs on! So it lags out, server cannot process it < This is issue not the event which is bad considering most servers have upto 2-4K players (this is my understanding anyway 😄 )

that problem is the data points from the third party they use as we've seen in the past them having to add more data points when it was extremely bad with coring lag. this issue most are talking about is the change in not scoring for using the added slider for contributions towards event because copy/pasta old original scoring code.

another problem is typically during aramda events where they have pretty much everyone on server in the same armada systems (like Exchange Delta) and everything gets super laggy and or doesnt process correctly because of all the ships in a single system.

This is exactly why I’m almost out of faith in the community.

We asked for grind reduction, so they brought Vidar Exos and the Talios, both of which let you grind Borgs faster. Both were also readily available F2P.

But no, the people who had stopped grinding now felt obligated to start again, and said that the grind was actually increased. It’s a load of nonsense.

I haven’t climbed the Tal paywall yet, but again he’s there as a QoL improvement for people who want to use cash.

I know what’s coming tomorrow, I managed to get a sneak peek from a translator. It reduces grind time but requires a little actual thought. Like this game used to have, things that make you think and test how to beat them. Will people be happy? I’m guessing not, but that’s 100% on them, not Scopely.

Personally, I think people should stop trying to "optimise the game" when they don't enjoy it. If you want to spend the time grinding everything you can all power to you. But do what you enjoy, just because an event comes up, or a ship comes out doesn't mean you have to interact with it. Its how I try to play my game and I think its made me enjoy it more than if I cared about every little thing

Talios hasn’t changed my grind…I wasn’t grinding probes before, and I’m not now. The updated Borg refinery is very meh, for me. So I ignore it. Basically, the Tally is a bigger Vidar with which to hunt OPC (including OPC probes)…but it was free…so I’m fine with it.

Just spot checking, at Talios T3 I would get a max 50k Charged Nanos daily. Daily solo directives are 140 Dirs/35,800 Nanos (or the 100 / 28,800) and Independent Credits are 230 Creds / 12,250 Nanos. Assuming you do 140 Directive Option 5 out of 7 days (1 start per day at a lower average cost), and independent credits every day, that's a total surplus of 85,250 Charged Nanos per week. The component costs of a T3 Vidar are 77k, 105k, 105k, 91k, 70k, 84k, 84k, 84k, so basically 1 component per week, or two months for a tier at that rate. To get to a component every 2 days, that's basically using all charged nanos for upgrades (700k manos total, so 14 days of no purchases, averaging out to slightly faster 1 than component every 2 days)

The issue with this game is that's it's engineered to ensure a high level of daily engagement by players (Scopely boasted about this in an article). I would agree with you if that "engineering" was dialed down a little like it is olin other games. For example shields, unless you want to purchase longer shields, you'd have to log in 3 times a day, at a time dictacted on you by the game, to reset them. On Battlepasses, if you miss more than 1 day of event daily, you miss out on the free badges on the last tier, pretty much enforcing participation if you want to progress as badges are a big bottleneck. I can't speak for all players, but I love star trek, and I signed up to this mobile game.rather than star trek online so I didn't lose hours every day in the game

I stick by the ascertion that this games punishes non-whale players progression harder then any other mainstream mobile game for not grinding for hours every day
