@modest frost It's nice that you lifted the limit on the cosmetic refits in the espionage, but since there was no prior information that we had to save Isolinear Data Chips for that, me and many others still can't unlock our item of choice.

For me, I'm at 68 of 75 Shards for the Gold Cardassian Disruptor and out of chips.

Could you add the items to the "normal" event store for Ketracel also so we can finish up that way? I guess a limit of 30 or something could be put in to not make it accessible for everyone if the design is that only those that bought the items in the October/November store are meant to get them, but I can't imagine the design is that many people should be sitting on some 50-74 shards

Officers are important. You should spend faction credits and time acquiring them.

They’re absolutely fundamental to being able to make progress, more than ships.

At Ops 30 I’d maxed my Spock; indeed it was only my faction epics I hadn’t maxed

I didn’t have to spend and it’s debatable that any of my spend at that point helped my Officer acquisition. I was dual faction (fed/rom, primary Rom after Saladbin).

I think the difference is purely down to approach, I’ve seen some terribly under-crewed commanders through lately, people who are Ops 40+ with only R4 epics etc.

There is actually an event missing. It is supposed to be SMS and SLB. The english translation is missing the SLB. In the italian version it is missing completely but all other languages got the two events.
Maybe @abstract gate could also ask what about the SLB 😛

It’s not forcing players to go for Feds for this. It’s just added incentive to go for Feds. Feds are the superior faction with Kirk/Spock earlier on

You're still in the early days, you can recover from everything. Advice: go dual faction fed/rom. Fed has the best officers and good g3 ships. Rom has the best g4 ships (and Augur rocks). Klingons are hated by scopely and absolutely worthless

I was fed/kling in the early days and regret it. My brel was nice for a month or two so I could have 2 strong ships (one to grind with and one to send to armadas). But I would have been better off skipping the brel and just going faster towards augur/enterprise

Yeah once someone locks fed/rom they should lock kling too, and for all factions do recruits over and over until they just get transporter patterns. But klingons are totally wasted in the game, the officers and ships are inferior. We couldn't even get good klingon officers out of the discovery arc

They are fair to their stock holders. I'm just voicing my opinion, even if probably very few care. If enough people do, and there is a general consensus, scopely can take action as they have done before. If nobody cares about my opinion, that's totally ok, and I'll just shut up and go away.

Well considering 20 officer shards is worth 120k event store loot, (which to buy is $100) meaning 60 shards is 360k loot, aka $300. that’s still not a bad redemption, and it’s free extra, for doing your normal game play, so sure don’t get it if you feel that upset, but 60 shards for free is still really good value

Being that im sitting on 4k rods and so are a bunch of other players in my alliance it sure seems like a free month. Based on history of the last one, not so much of a guess. The first month people had desealing rods to open the treasury it was horrible, 10 officer shards no rss, very little g3 and g4, same sort of stuff we see this month. And in an event store month to boot, pretty disappointing, only thing worth it this month is the lat and even then that's a hard pill to swallow.

I have to say, I'm not normally a scopely basher, and I quite enjoy the game, but this arc, while having some interesting content, has been a disaster from a " enjoyment without hassle " perspective..... literally everyday, events, even old events like si vis, are bugging.....descriptions that are wrong.....scoring mechanisms that dont work as described, and the prevailing attitude of scopely has been to ignore it.... and now even some of the old grievances start to annoy me, like why they can't fix officers they released in the past....SNW laan for example, still bugged. I haven't seen the level of resignation in my alliance over these types of issues for a long while now.....people who won't even contact customer support because they just get brushed off... @pseudo rune I think the focus for a while should be to fix the current issues.....for example, I'm pretty sure alot of the syndicate benefits don't actually work, and certain researches at certain levels seem to take you backwards.....let's try to restore some faith in the basics, events that work like advertised, officers that do as advertised, and research we can be confident in. To me we are reaching a moment like when territory was introduced that the game had to pause, take a step back and restore confidence.

To give an example: I wanted to buy the treasury rod unlock, I asked around my server to make sure it worked for others...as I didn't want to get into a hassle with customer service as I am worried that the basics won't work....I find that a bit sad
