In some sense, I agree. I'm doing ok in the 50 elites with only my G5 epics, so I'll sprinkle one in when needed. I have no problem ignoring content that does nothing for me. I just think that the Scopely game designers can do a better job of making the new content approachable for the average players so they want to try it and get something out of it. But their game design lacks any nuance.

Did you try using Cerri/Max fort? I got 4/5 and had I timed my Lorca's fist better, maybe there'd have been a chance to beat the last one.

Scopely promised improvements for all. Scopely does very little, what are you supposed to do with that stupid special ship? I as an early G6 player have more use for Freebooters G6, group armadas 61+, more resources for my G6 ships, nothing at all this arc for G6 players. Getting more parts for my ships is not the main problem..

This ship is absolutely horrible. Worthless in battle. multi-prong attack thing does practically nothing. Refinery is trash (best source of ships parts??). This is worse than the Vindicator or the Sarcophagus. This is an all time low. Not even the refinery can save this one.

Testers should test with only the free stuff you can get at each ops level, but nothing maxed for the previous tier until mid next one. 3* research maxed at 45, 4* research maxed at 55, etc. Mats primes gotten when you get the corresponding mats unlocked. Gives a more realistic scenario that everything maxed to the brim which probably applies to the 1% of the players that excel at arenas every Monday.

They need to test with both. They have to make sure it's "difficult but achievable" for the target groups but also need to have a good challenge at the end for players who are at the end. This game has astonishingly little endgame content. This is good for the more advanced players. The regular waves are for the masses.

Day one no ship is useful. Specialty, faction, whatever. Shouldn't be an expectation. However, as it shouldn't be an expectation, I do agree with you on the events and I've passed along that feedback several times to the CMs. Live Ops shouldn't have included it in the SMS goals.

The Revnenant is a fine ship. Heck, the whole loop design is great. The poly armada combat is still buggy, and seems to be mainly the 56 type 2 ones causing rando cancels, but progression is going at a good steady pace and the benefits awesome.

Rela's nice if you get it early, it can easily be one of your two ships. And the loop is one of the most important ones in the game to fuel. There's so much power in there.

Very overpowered slow grow OP’s 48 here with Max Tier G4 Rares and good crews, was completely wrecked on wave 2 on the 45 Elites.
No ship lasted more than 2 rounds.
I basically went from taking almost zero damage on standard 45 waves upon completion to being unable to even scratch the paint on the second wave of the 45 Elites.

Considering mid to high OP’s 50’s range without G5 epics tiered up are reporting being unable to complete a 45 elite I’m calling BS 😂

Again, that's the point. This is a feature that's a challenge on day one, even for endgame players. This is a good thing. It shouldn't be boring for them; now they have something to work on and towards that's part of the content.

They do need to alter the balance for the lower levels, though.

There's two things going on here, IMO.

I think we're so used to content that we just plow through that the idea of difficult content is jarring to people. I, for one, am happy to have an "aspirational" feature added that is actually difficult for me (ops 69).

However, Live Ops didn't get the message. They ran "regular" SMS events like they would for any other ship without considering the difficulty of the task. That was a big mistake.

The ships "casts" this effect on Players and Hostiles that the Beam doesn't destroy....
What if anything are the "base effects" of the state?
Because if the "State" has no effects unless you do the research, and the researches that control the effects are (per $copley's wording/description) effects PLAYERS and do not say Hostiles... what's the point?
Or are these descriptions incorrect in their wording?

Ok here comes the part that probably won't shock you at all: As long as you keep not spending an single Dollar on the Game you will keep getting below 1M Latinum in those Treasury. So doesn't matter if you are in the 20/30/40, believe it does change then with 45+ you will keep seeing those smaller amongs while anyone that had so far spend an single Dollar Ingame will see +1 Million Latinum (or above) in those Treasury.

So, if you keep waiting further along while still staying Free2Play it won't matter if you buy the Treasury now or tomorrow or in a year considering your Ops.

When the treasury was first launched, they ran the sorting script to grandfather everyone's "spend level." That's from design.

I've seen lots of players on newer servers since then that have made your anecdotal claim too, and that leads me to believe that newer servers get the same sorting script at some point. That's not from design though, and just reasonable conjecture.

The other bit of information is also from design: you can only move up in spend level by buying a desealing rod from the cash shop.

@heady moon just wanted to give my feedback for the arc thus far. I'll start with the positives first

1. Event store has some good additions like Lorca, Lorca SP, and Prime Orbit particles
2. I love that mission keys give event store loot (unlike last time) and the new meta gives a really good amount as well
3. I like the solo waves event to get extra solo creds and now some Prem dust

Now some gripes I have

1. As much as I'm a fan of more waves, I hate that you need the new ship to do it unless you're ops 70 who don't even need the ship. It's not that the ship makes its easier, the content makes having the ship mandatory.
2. Despite an official rep of Scopely saying they'd look at sourcing of ships, the new ship is a 100 day grind which not only is the opposite of what that representative said but also is counterintuitive to Scopely's goal to push us up ops. These ships are necessary for growth and players are going to stop moving ops til they get those ships.
3. The new ship's refinery for ship parts isn't what was advertised as "the top source across all grades" this statement is only true for g6 players otherwise Gorn Eviscerator pays out more rare ship parts which are what we care about below g6 as uncommon and common ship parts are easy to get. The common and UC parts are just marginally better but again not the parts a majority of players actually need.
4. Why doesnt the new ship give extra solo waves starts akin to what the NSEA Protector did with MU last year, seems odd to exclude it
5. Lastly, it's month 2 of apex shred being released and we already have access to a total of 325% that essentially eliminates 77% apex barrier. That's too much PvP shred in 2 months

I'm a fresh 61, the elite 50's seem a step up reward wise from normal 50 solo's if I use a max fort (or when I boost my ships at the next mat event)

Besides hostile strength the sheer amount of mobs is also a bit of a hassle without the new ship to beat some, can't even use my cube beam

Vindicator: abandonware, weekly event exists to give it a loop it never had, progression is probably among the slowest grinds ever introduced.

Relativity: haven’t seen anything around it and formations since intro.

Archive: made to cover the abandoned and overly old specialty ships.

Nsea: progression again so slow without dropping money that people are finishing or finished with the common/uc/rare/epic mirror dust researches and even the Nsea researches before getting the ship to t10.

Eviscerator: another painfully slow grind for the utility it had a chance to offer. Refinery exchanges don’t have any value for g6 until tier 14, and by the time you get it there ftp it has no value because it has no rare g6 parts.

Vindicator is a failed ship. The Refinery is only marginally redeeming but the ship has no practical use because of how small it is until you reach the highest tiers.

The vindicator takes way too long to tier up however I like it, the refinery is helping me get all the fleet commanders without buying them and it works great for armadas. The only downside to me is not getting enough parts and not seeing the parts available in the event store is even more disappointing

From what I remember, it was promised to fairly easy to tier up but it has horribly missed the mark. I don't go out of my way to get extra parts for it because, other than tiering it up for the refinery, the ship is useless. They didn't really think it through. I don't want to do high level G6 armadas and have one of the ships dying every time. That slows me down.

By the time most of us get it to where it’s even usable on g6 solos, where it actually would have use and utility just from its hazard resistance, we will likely be done with g6 solos and onto the next thing that it can’t help with.

Relativity is a nice anomaly because with its researches it becomes stella-like on rewards, so as the alliance unlocks it the refineries will actually get easier for everyone.

Revenant only has decent progression for the second wave of people getting it because the first wave can carry them through high enough starts where the chests can provide accelerated pulls vs what the early adopters had to deal with.

Broken rodes have always been a standard level,
From overflow or 7 day Chest's,
It's always required 4 k of broken rods to aquire the Treasury..

I couldn't honestly remember so.. yea I know where to get them.. the mean thing is that i have 3560 Broken Rods, and 4k are needed.. with 3 day's of the Treasury left theirs practically no chance to get the remainder atm, even if their was 1 Event Daily in that time that gives 360+ at the end, unless their where 2 somewhere in this timeframe... for the Loyalty Chest im 3 Weeks out of getting enough for get a few more 😅

They start off cheap, but once you buy one it's forever at the price of a normal pack. On the upside, it does increase the contents quite a bit as well.

The desealing rod fragments come from 30d boxes and completing the overflows for BPs (including most between-arc flash BPs). It's likely you'll have enough for the next one.

There's nothing to do. They won't cancel Trailblazer, and I've never seen them lower an endtime. Just make sure you get enough pts to finish the bp, there's more than enough available even with a partial SMS.

Nah, they don't extend endtimes either. They'd need to delete the current one and make a new one with longer time. The bp already has scoring in it, they aren't deleting that.

The only way to score in the solo elite events is to have the new ship and have it survive the correct # of waves.

However you don't need the new ship to complete elite waves if you are strong enough. It just doesn't count for those specific events that want the new ship.

No problem. I'm ops 66 and can complete the G6 solo waves with no problems. I don't have the new ship. I can complete the G5 elite solo waves and get more Solo loot than from the G6 solos. I die in wave 3 of the G6 elite solos (no point in doing those for me). So I'm sticking with the G5 Elite solos.

Not usually a ship buyer, but I bought this one. I actually like the solo waves. But the ship is essentially useless at Tier 1, level 5. So as an Ops 47, can complete Wave 1 of the 45-Elite, but then get destroyed. Little disappointed the ship really doesn't do anything until it gets to a much higher tier.
