Impulse speed also seems to have a large subjective factor to it. Lots of goofing around on our end has shown that there isn’t a straight linear speed progression. A “fastest ship in system” suddenly actually moves slower on screen and relative to time to cross a system when a higher impulse ship is in system and moved around some.

I'm just being realistic, it's a bandaid on a broken leg. It mitigates some of the issues but certainly doesn't fix the underlying issues. It would help if people weren't incentivized so much to cheese in the first place aka losing is too punishing both in low rewards (winning should reward more too) and the amount of rep lost.

I'm fine with public squads but I think tightening the available people you can match with, won't fix the problem at all. The main problem with matchmaking has been that a team of 53, 57, 60 could get paired against a team of 59, 66, 64. Theoretically, a 56 lead could have 60 and 53 friends but pair against a full squad of 64s

The new matchmaking will prohibit me from running arenas with my alliance, but go with it for a test. That said, test run should NEVER have rank changes - positive or negative - turned on. If you decide to go with it, please consider what 1000 people before me and 1000 after me will ask for, and keep rank for matchmaking only and decouple it from Terran store items that are not cosmetic only. Otherwise players will just not return to run it. The low lvl rank chests pay out too little credits, there is no progress for most people to higher ranks and so no progress in rewards, and thus no incentive to play Arenas.

Is there any progress on the current performance issues? As an affected player, it is very frustrating when it takes over an hour to pick up the refinery resources and a restart is necessary after every second crate

you don't have to pay to get premium dust. you have to pay to finish the tree, but you can finish easily 5-6 of those researches f2p if you do arenas.

you want ti fixed faster? provide meaningful diagnostic data.

do you have some sort of anti-malware on your phone? do you have a VPN of some variety? etc

i can tell you as a software engineer (on a product far more complicated) that my favorite customers are the ones that come to me with a bug report where they've done a bunch of diagnostic work and can go "here is how to reproduce the bug". they'll get a bug fix immediately and it'll be in our next monthly product update.

The issues are wide ranging .... not all Androids , not even all Androids of a certain manufacturer ... I have a Samsung S21 and freeze up over and over (mostly when switching view/tabs such as from the event tab to galaxy view) but I know others in my Alliance that have Samsung (unknown what models) and are running just fine ....

@kind valley i once had a customer that kept complaining about an issue, right down to actually having intelligent repro steps. never once reproduced for me. we were going back and forth for two months. they finally mentioned off hand something they did and i was like "Wait.. wiat you did what? you should have told me that immediately" and i reproduced what they did and immediately was able to reproduce the bug.

our install base is over 100 million units, and only ONE CUSTOMER ever had that issue.
