It is a real pain. Matched by liquid omega trellium farming if you upgrade your NSEA to tier 5. Hostiles required doubles from around 40 to 80 to get daily vial of liquid Omega. Game needs far more auto grinding. Is a collection of painful chores and barely a game anymore.

One of the newer crew members gives more loot, but the main loot comes from the chest given on each kill rather than the individual kill. I.e 100 sent to store compared to the 12+crew bonus (which isn't much at that amount). Maybe as Aenicus says better at higher op level

Once you have the ship the refinery improves and farming the loot is drastically easier/faster.

Once you can hit the lvl50 hostiles it's a lot easier. You go from getting a couple hundred loot per kill to a couple thousand.

Discovered today that me and other members of my alliance seemed to have missed some what if events that didn't appear so we can't get the rare officer. I know I completed the initial mission we had to do on the 13th. But this mechanic of missing a step and you lose out is pretty rubbish and very frustrating for players.

Plus I have to plan my day around the event, rather than finishing it in one go
There should’ve been one main What If? event bucket, with all the claimable sub-missions in there depending on choices

So I’m grinding in a system on my own, the ship doesn’t move between ships unless I wait, I.e if I actively hit ship after ship my ship is static, not a good sign for the upcoming arenas if this during a quieter time and with only one ship in a system……
Still need 80 vindicator BPs so shall we just say delay arenas for 8 more weeks? 😉 then I can get the ship with the comp rather than probably a year if I have to rely on arena rewards!

How to solve "preparing" black screen issue
As a mobile player, the constant Preparing… issues improved slightly after uninstalling & reinstalling earlier this week (make sure you have a Scopely account!). That’s probably only going to help if you haven’t done so in a while.
The game doesn’t really clean up stale data on your device, like missions you previously completed and whatnot. If it’s taking up a lot of space on your device (I know players whose app data grew to over 25 GB), cleaning up some of that might mitigate the issue a bit. It doesn’t fully solve the problem, but it made it a little more bearable for me…

only if you allow it. you can control what obs captures by adding scenes/sources. ex - my obs is set for window capture for a certain app but you can add a scene on top of that capture to block the view for viewers. such as a "be right back" or whatnot.
