Instant uses Latinum for everything: resources, materials, time, special items. Everything. So when you have something that requires something that latinum can't buy, such as in this case, you are unable to instant it.

Then you've missed what I said.
You cannot buy that unique item required to build it with Latinum, it doesn't matter how much you have. Therefore it is impossible to instant this building. This is exactly the same when you try to instant a building that requires uncommons, you can't buy them with latinum and so cannot instant it. It will not use your inventory items.

You canonly use instant if everything required can be purchased with latinum.
Right above the Parsteel requirement is a little blue thing. This is required to build, but is not possible to purchase with latinum. Therefore the system will not allow you to use instant.
It will not use items from your inventory, only latinum, and so is unable to operate.

I consider this to be broken functionality aka bug because it is impossible to use under any condition.

I used to use this capability all the time on new buildings such as rss generator docks etc even when building something else but now it is impossible.

I suspect the reason why it wont work now is because before i could instant build while building something else but when 2nd build was added instant build prob requires you to have 2nd build even if actively building 2 items

I bet if i bought 2nd build and were building two items i could instant build 3rd.

When you use lat for instant build, none of the rss is used. Lat is converted to make up for all of them. And if the build requires something that lat cannot buy, you will be unable to instant build it.

The real problem is that almost all of the bugs are known, some for a long time, and we don't even get acknowledgement from Scopely about them let alone updates or timely fixes for most.
Which of course is the other problem. Scopely are basically not here. They pop in mostly around the arc releases when things are a hot mess, briefly, but generally this server is players. You'll find many workarounds and explanations from players, the same bugs reported a hundred times, and lots of official silence..

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S9, Android 10 OS
I am also experiencing the issue with the alliance tag showing as [] without any characters between the brackets.

Did some minor testing:
It appears to only happen when setting another alliance to allies, friendly, or enemies.
If I set the alliance to neutral and then restart the game, the alliance tag is fixed.
If I set the alliance back to anything other than neutral, the tags goes back to the blank [] upon restart.

Based on the travel time listed on the attack button your ship is not in the same system as the one you are trying to attack. Your ship needs to be in the same system to be able initiate an attack.

It is ridiculous that the response to this bug, which can be game breaking to some, was slow to be acknowledged and has yet to be corrected, yet people getting an extra Stella or people not able to make IAP's gets the servers shut down.
Basically, whatever hurts their bottom line gets an immediate response, but anything that helps the players gets tossed into the backlog.

Depends on how you're playing the game, but if you are looking for a specific alliance but do not want your entire alliance to get involved - then yes.

It would be less of an issue if we had more diplomacy tag choices. For our alliance, and likely many others, crosshairs means KOS. There are none for "Alert - possibly hostile"

+50% speed based on speed instead of time? Sounds pretty reasonable for a speed increase to apply to your speed value. And almost everything in game is applied on base values, not values after other bonuses, so this is exactly as expected.

As for the amount of time reduced this will be a factor of the base travel time and total warp speed, and looks to reduce in line with expectations. If I take a warp time to a system in seconds and multiply by warp speed for a base time and then divide that time by warp speed at varying levels of bonuses the times work out almost exactly.

As for the value increase, again almost everything in game is based on base values (before bonuses). You can determine the base warp speed by either: looking at the component information in the upgrade screen (if you haven't upgraded it for this tier you must also subtract the green numbers), or by looking it up on one of the services such as stfc.space

That's true for most bonuses around those levels I feel, same reason why we don't use many officer combinations 😬
But 1) people at that level should understand how bonuses work generally.
And 2) unless you're foolish enough to drop money on them, they're free incremental increases that you can choose when to apply; I'm not tripping over myself to get them, but I won't be complaining about F2P minor increases either 🤷‍♂️
Conversely if they were actually good though, then people would be more upset, they're already upset about the PvP advantage they'll give 😂

Yah, it's just frustrating how bonuses are described in game. "15% increase"..."Too Base", SO after I've done mining research that boosts oh, what, 200% (I don't actually know the real number, just hyperbolizing)? to base, that 15% is a drop in the bucket.

Good example is the meridian. Due to the ship's ability, Mak and Airiams ISO mining abilities are next to nothing.

Using a T9, lvl 45, Stella with Pike as captain along with Chen and Stonn as bridge officers, the game shows me 148k as max cargo.
However, the cargo is capped at 140k.
Being at 140.000/148.000 cargo, I can kill as many eclipse freighters as I want, the cargo won't increase despite having free capacity

It seems that the effect bonus that Pike gives to the Cargo enhancing of Stonn is not recognized

Yes, old bug. Pike will show an increase for several officers incorrectly, he will only actually increase abilities that activate during combat.

My game freezes a lot, and while frozen it will flicker really fast until you restart phone 😑

Also when switching crews and ship types...when you hit return to go back to main screen, it goes back to main screen but previous screen will still be showing like an overlay in other words. Resetting phone is only way to clear it.

If it requires uncommons, rares, or anything that can't be bought with latinum, no. If you check your buildings you'll see the pattern emerge.
Interestingly though is that it will actually understate the latinum costs in these cases also, I think only showing the time component.

Basically they need to add a pop-up box to ask if you want to use X from your inventory. Though it would need to be very limited or more complicated than most things in the game to have the flexibility required 😬 probably why it's left out currently.

Yeah, this used to be very common back in the old days, hitting fortunates with fortunates (you would send a miner to an open mine, someone else beats you there, you auto attack and drop shield, loser would be sitting next to the mine and the "attacker" gets raided because they didn't even know a battle happened😂)

Warp range is set by the paths immediately connecting each system. The path between Wolf and Babel is warp 47. You can access the other paths around it at lower warp, but this specific leg requires 47 to use.

No. They only say that they require 47 because the pathfinder is showing you the route through Wolf and Babel, which is 47 and therefore minimum 47 for anything after them.

The pathfinding system will show you the most direct available path, and in the case of no available path it will just show most direct only.

f you move a ship with lower than 40 warp over to the Romulan side those system will suddenly state W40, not 47; because they're no longer pathfinding through wolf and Babel (which needs 47)..

For reference: W40, right up until I try to go to wolf and then suddenly 47. Because Wolf to Babel specifically is 47.
It's pretty simple really.

I know it's the game because I have used 2 different WiFi sources, played Farmville with no issues on the same device, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Franklin-A is an extremely frustrating ship 😖😖😖. I am Lvl 40 now (2.75 mio. power) with all weapons and shield installed. Does exactly the same number of 46-swarms like on Lvl 35 with 4 weapons and shield less 😖😖😖. No reason to ever upgrade that ship again. Always same Crew (5/10, Kang, Khan). 5 Upgrades (4 weapons + shield) and ship-ability over 5 Levels make no difference at all.

Nope. We tested that for weeks now. Works against the old swarms, but not against the big ones with Franki-A. Jaylah could be better but we all have her only on T-1, therefore not usefull yet.
However, in order to compare you always need the same Crew, otherwise major bias.

One other thing with Franklin-A: with all other ships you can kill more ships and thereby get more loot the smaller the ships are. Different with Franklin-A! Killing 46 swarms gives me 6k loot, the smaller the enemies are, the less loot I get. e.g. with 42 swarms I only collect 4.8k loot.

Hello, is there any news on this?

In our alliance, half of the members have not been able to refine Isogen 1 for almost 4 weeks.

Sometimes it works for a short time, but then disappeared the next day. Isogen 2 and Isogen 3 can be refined without problems.

We have already tried all possible solutions. Restarting the game Restarting the smartphone, reinstalling the game, etc....

HEY! @DEVELOPERS! I've been told it's bad form to call you out this way, but you aren't leaving me much choice here. I can not reach you via in game support because each time I try to go into the help section to open a support ticket my game crashes. Even when I open the game, go directly to Settings, and try to open a support ticket without doing anything else. The game is lagging horendously, and it is your game because I have used 2 different WiFi networks and I have tested gameplay with Farmville on the same device. Farmville works with no issues on my device under both WiFi settings. Your game does not. Your game lags to the point of inoperability and it crashes randomly sending me out of the game, and the frequency of these crashes is anywhere from 5minutes to 30 minutes. What frustrates me even more is that the game crashes each time I try to open the help section to submit a customer service ticket, so I can't even report this problem to your customer service reps! How are we supposed to enjoy this game with these issues? Please respond.

Looking back at a glance, you still have the ticket and are auto-joined for both, this is consistent with what we've seen from most of the playerbase.
If you'll complete one of the 'Show Support' events, you'll be eligible for rewards of the IMS.
Note that it may take some time for the rewards to appear, a previous report mentioning a 10-minute delay.

Heya, you'll need to complete a Show Support event now that they're active. Sadly these events can't retroactively award points and so can't sign you in as active participant. the in game banner is inaccurate. so will just show base pts without any multipliers. The event page is the only place where accurate pts scoring can be obtained. Make a note of the score via the event page.... kill another hostile then go back into the event page.... it should show the correct points [with x multipler]

So, sent a support ticket about my issue. Support member asks If I am still using the Lenovo E10. I said no, using a Lenovo M10. Support says thats the problem, the M10 has 2GB of Ram, which isn't enough. He then closes out the ticket before I can respond. Problem with his response is, both the E10 and M10 have 2GB RAM. Game worked fine on both until the last update. Also, I play Farmville, which also requires 2GB RAM, and Farmville is actually running better on the M10 than it was on the E10. Finally, the claim that the RAM is the issue does not address why the app crashes immediately each time I select any topic from the in game help menu. I have sent in a request to escalate my concerns as the game has become entirely unplayable. I am quite knowledgeable regarding tech, troubleshooting, and ruling out potential causes of issues as I fix my own electonics hardware and I have some experience resolving certain software issues pertaining to gaming.

Regarding CS from Scopely: Why do they always Close Tickets which aren't solved yet? 1. I raised the ticket regarding the sound issue when starting the app. Ticket closed because they cannot help. 2. Raised a ticket regarding the Missing alliance tags. Ticket gonna be closed because they are aware of the issue.
This is really customer annoying behaviour. Why don't they keep the Tickets open to inform the customer about progress in solving the issue? Ok @mediators, @developers. Now I want to talk to someone at Scopely who actually knows about electronic devices and the difference between hardware and software issues. Customer service continues to fault my device's RAM, however there are multiple issues with that claim.

1. The Lenovo E10 (my old device) and the Lenovo M10 (new device) both have 2GB of RAM.
2. STFC worked fine on both the E10 and the M10 prior to the last app update.
3. Farmville and STFC both require 2GB of RAM to operate properly.
4. Farmville is operating better on the M10 than it was on the E10. And most importantly,
5. Each topic in the in game help menu, when selected, causes the app to crash instantly.

If nothing else, the last problem should be the biggest indicator that the device is not the issue, because the RAM does not cause an app to crash each time a line of text within a specific section of an app is selected. If the RAM was at fault for that, then the same issue would be occurring in other apps with the same or very similar system requirements, such as Farmville. But again, Farmville is actually working BETTER on my new device, and as you can see from the screenshots, Farmville and STFC have very similar system requirements.

This is my Tablet's CPU and RAM, which are within the required specs.

Ok, so, events just reset, got into the game, decided to try, again, to access help topics and... oh, wow! The app didn't crash this time. Scopely must have accessed my device and fixed the issue with my RAM! Amazing!

In all seriousness though, next time please make sure your customer service reps know the difference between a software issue and a hardware issue. Especially when they are talking to a customer who fixes electronics for personal entertainment. Yes, I fix electronics to entertain myself. So I know that the issue with the app crashing and accompanying lag was not a RAM issue.

A warm thank you though to whoever it was that actually was able to locate and resolve that issue with the app. Your efforts are much appreciated.

No, Scopely didn't access my device. But going by their claim about my RAM being the issue, they would have had to gain access to my device to resolve a hardware issue. Hence the sarcasm in that statement.

@regal rock All background process were terminated as part of my troubleshooting efforts prior to my support ticket submission. Also, had it been a memory leak, I would have experienced issues with my Farmville game, which I have not. Then there is the issue with the app crashing when selecting a help topic. That is a line code issue in the software and is not caused by insufficient RAM.

Gotcha. It sounded to me like you were saying it was a memory leak in my system. Which, come to think of it, if it were a memory leak on their end and they patched it up, it could explain why it is working now.

A memory leak on their end could effect some games, but not all. And it could effect a small number of people, which would make it difficult to detect unless it were reported.

The issue I was having with support though was that they were saying it was the RAM on MY new device that was causing the problem. 2 different reps made that claim. But now, without any changes to my device or any other action on my part, the issue seems to be fixed. Which begs the question, how did they fix an issue they claimed was occuring on my device? I would be happier if they would just own their mistakes instead of blaming the customer and then fixing the problem secretively like this. I mean seriously. That's just outright disrespectful to our intelligence.

Minimum wage or not, it's the customer service reps and their interactions with customers that public opinion about a company is ultimately based on. It's not fair to the other employees, but they have other important responsibilities. Thankfully, those employees seem to be more customer focused than many of the customer service reps I have had the unfortunate displeasure of dealing with. That is why I am grateful to the ones we don't directly interact with for making the effort when they actually are informed of an issue. They deserve to know their efforts are seen, acknowledged, and appreciated.

During TC-Battles we use the Battleview mode, but when someone blows up your last ship in that system, then you get kicked out. On return the battleview mode is disabled, but it should stay enabled.

The issue is that during very laggy fights, you barely can see anything it cost critical time to disable the view and being able to respond to threats early. Can you please review this and prevent the system from flipping back and forth?

It would be even much better, if you can open the system without ships on-site only to let the ship warp in at a certain point. Instead of getting pushed back to the galaxy few, the system should actually really show a "fog of war" or in other words you cannot see only dust until one ship is entering. Maybe that also improves the loading time from system and gives some extra critical seconds to respond

Because I filed a report through the support ticket service was told that my 2GB RAM was insufficient, and then told that no other reports of lag and app crashes were being made. So since your reps claimed to have no reports, we are simply fulfilling the request made by your reps to provide reports of these issues.

I been getting the below error for a little over a month. It appears once every 3 to 5m, no particular action causes this screen to appear. In fact the only action that consistently cause the error is after the game loads.

I have cleared the cache
I have ensured stfc is upto date
I have uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled, restarted
I have removed my payment method
I have reached out to the "help desk"...
I have provided screen shots
I've been asking for help for over a month.

I'm not going to chase you anymore. If you can't find someone to help me at least let me know. I'm frustrated and appalledat the level of customer service I've received.

Had my experience as well with closing tickets with the reason that they cannot help... Maybe <@&509691417686442004> can help via their channels?

Just guessed you might have a hot line towards any point of contact to scopely. So that you can filter real issues and bring them on their desk.

anybody who's ever worked for a big company knows that misinformation is not only possible but rampant at times. unless there is a very strong effort to get issues communicated to CS pronto, or a champion of inter department comms, its not surprising that CS is not in touch with devs 100% of the time. we got a notify that they ack an issue and are wroking on it. Personally, I'd rather the devs fix the issue than respond to my pings to tell them there's an issue. but that's just me.

just a shot in the dark but if the response during peak times is lag, its not exactly peak time, maybe it can handle a light load in realtime

Make sure to look at the top of the reward page, it says Critical Success

Similar problem with One Reaction mission: there are not 10 Corvallen ships in Ophiuchi. Any workaround, so that I can finish the missions and get the faction rep? Thanks
