Thank you. That makes so much sense! I vaguely remember when I first started doing these, it seemed like some of the trial locations were in systems that seemed far from my station. And sometimes the locations were in hostile/enemy systems. More recently, since I changed based, I haven’t had that problem. Now I know why.

We've been noticing lower than expected Territory Capture scores. We were under the impression that we did not need to reset nodes. At the start of the defense we counted ships on capture nodes and all other ships and calculated our expected score after one minute. We did not get the expected score, we instead go one point per ship. No bonuses for Capture nodes. we then had several people reset nodes, and the next minute our scoring increased by the number of nodes reset x the bonus.

Pretty sure you still need to reset the nodes, but the test should be done without using the first minute as the baseline. Stabilize the scoring rate, then move the node holders.

This is usually a connection issue. I'd reboot the router and the device to start. If that fails, try switching wifi/data on your device.

For whatever reason, the segment for this month is 16-22 so you're grouped with the G2 players and that kills your mat rewards. It has happened before, during voyager part2. I'd make plans to level in case it happens again.

I'll escalate the poor rewards feedback, but I don't have reason to believe it is a bug.

Like FC 7/9s skill point efficiency, the new Prime Research Fleet Readiness does not appear to work for all Fleet Commanders I tested, i.e., I am still paying the full base cost of FC skill points when upgrading FC abilities. Not only did I report that bug a while ago, but it does have a sour taste when a 100$ Prime is being sold that doesn't actually do anything.

Your best bet is to go through the chat bot, ensuring you choose / use "stuck ship" and answer it's questions in as few words as possible.

Qtrials just makes it faster is all @ 100 points each. So they gave an option to kill hostiles just in case you get stuck in the trials.

is the Jellyfish's ship ability not working? I have T'Laan as the captain assigned who has a captain ability to boost the ship's XP by 23% in my case (T'Laan is rank 4 for me).

When checking the values initially killing a swarm lvl 15 enemy, I got 161-162XP per kill. I leveled the ship from its initial level where I had it at 23% for boosting the captain's ability to lvl 16 where I'm now at boost 38%. Still, killing the same swarm enemies, I still get only 161-162 XP.

It seems as if the ship ability doesn't affect T'Laans captain maneuvers at all. Is this known?

The display shows the discounted price from the Fleet Readiness Prime when you're about to upgrade the skill, but when you train the skill, it actually deducts the full (non-discounted) cost

Ok, was uncertain for a few, but that confirms it. There's an issue right now with cost efficiency abilities for rare SPs.

You'll need more than what is stated.

It's not a display issue. The base cost of that node is 20 rare sp, the modifier on FR is 25%. The modified cost should be 16, you have 18. You are in a position to test it. Head to Command of the refinery and convert fragments into exactly 3 rare sp. That should get you to 21, and enough to unlock the node with 1 left over. Afterwards, you can check your inventory for how many rare sp you have.

This game crashes more than a NASCAR race. And only seems to be increasing. I'm at 7-8 crashes this morning in about 1-2 hours of play. This is constant. Yesterday about 30 crashes over 5-6 hours of play. This has been going on for months, since the first DS9 update earlier this year!!

that particular one can be started from finishing part 1 from faction shop, by buying part 2 from faction shop, by finishing part 1 from holodeck probably, and by buying part 2 from the holodeck.

if it's still an issue, try clearing the localization cache through the settings and close any background app --- usually that reduces the crashes quite reliably

As there is no section in that discord dedicated to the stfc database I have no choice but to post here what is, I hope, a bug...

It's been a long time since scopely took over STFC DATABASE and one of the fisrt things the new programmers did was to REMOVE THE INTERNACIONALIZATION of the site. I posted about it right here many months ago, hoping it was just a transition movement. Now I am no more waiting and I feel furious 😡

I am lucky enough to understand many languages, among them English (by far not my favorite ), but I like to play stfc in French and many of my alliance mates do not understand English. Is reading English now a requisite to play this game? If not so why are the translations so poor lately? With most of new missions badly or half-translated, with may GUI buttons still in English, showing a general and widespread disrespect of non-English speakers.

Why is Scopely now openly despising its international clients? At least the original programmer of STFC Database had a respect, including options to access the internationalized names of Items stored in the same game bundles used to feed the site. Now the only way to access teh internationalized version is in the copycat and outdated site https://this-is-not-for-scopely.stfc.lol/ . The official site is still English ONLY.

So please Scopely show some respect for your international players:

• Review the localizations of Missions buttons and game features
• And Return our Database to its original pespectful international version :

Well, you should talk to development team because there’s no way that it should spawn in the token system, when there are many systems around 2 systems that do not require tokens. Why would they write the code to target token systems. It’s an easy change it’s a few lines of code. They just have to tell it not to target token systems, quite easy.

I had a similar interaction with CS. at ops40 I had the drydock-G & drydock-H packs as 2 separate regular pack options at $20 and $50 each. I didn't require it back then but as I moved up to ops44, I definitely needed them, but to my surprise, it's now only one single Drydock Elite pack in the store and all other Drydock packs have been removed. Tried asking for an explanation and I got the same verbatim reply. Basically, they are saying, you missed your chance, now buy the elite pack as we know you "need" it.

And put you into the First Armada.

While I dont know the specific answer to your question: Hanging at 76% seems like it is downloading a file (or raw data) from scopely's servers, and if that file transfer interrupts for any reason (or comes back incomplete or fails a verification), you get the hang/retry... I recently experienced this a lot while playing the game from a slow internet country a few weeks back... and even though it fails on one device, it might work on another device connected to the same wifi hotspot or it might not depending on the internet connectivity at that moment between:

• your device and wifi router or
• your wifi router and your ISP or
• your ISP and the scopely servers (which encompasses a wide range of different internet providers, depending on where you are versus where scopelys servers are)

Ultimately we don't have control over most of the parts in that chain, or the ability to test that stuff end-to-end especially given we don't know EXACTLY what it's doing there and it's likely all encoded in an SSL encrypted session. But, there is some link in the chain (whereever that is) that causes the download of the required data to your game client to fail or come up incomplete/invalid. 😦

It also seems to need to happen in a given amount of time (hence the retry at any given point), so if download speeds are slow (or scopely's servers are slow at sending the data), that causes this issue also. 😦

HTH and Sorry to hear this is plagueing you currently. It was not fun tryng to debug this while using slow internet, except to see it hang and retry, and then force stop the app, and try again or try from a different device, and or stop/start wifi again and again. 😦

most hanging i get is when i log a device that hasnt been used in a long time and the game decides it needs to download every single PRIVATE message since that particular device was logged into game for weeks ... and the game wont progress to load until this finishes. If your game is hanging on the load, you might need to leave it for 5 minutes whilst it fetches all the old messages you havent read (but have on a more recent device). Im sure thats a simple fix to push the pm messages to down AFTER the game starts, but im no programmer so maybe it is hard

Bug: Unable to collect the daily Condensed Venom gift as it appears to be maxed and only issues Actian Venom. However no condensed venom shows in inventory or is usable by Mantis ability.

Description: I have been unable to collect condensed venom for the Venomous Puncture ability nor use condensed venom ever since obtaining the Mantis ship. It appears as 0/500 to be used in the ships ability section. Also, the daily gift of condensed venom appears maxed in red and only issues action venom.

I’ve been in contact with support for weeks and they have stated to me that there is a problem, but nothing they can do. In each case I’ve been told they will look further into it and followup with absolutely no followup.

Trying to look for others with this problem as well. Any help with getting this issue escalated to a level to get someone’s attention would be appreciated!

You only get the yellow chest if you beat all 3 legs so much of that is related to the non-firing of the one leg. You might want to contact CS about it to see if they would refund the directives, or give you an idea of why that happened.

1. Realta event not scoring all points for some reason.

2. Issues with mining resources so far 3 and 4 star crystal but possibly others too. Sometimes ships not visible on nodes even though a ship is mining and gives other players mine button even though ship already on it. Just a few minutes ago 2 players were mining the same node from yesterday 1 went 0 so was refreshing and attacked the other player which when you clicked on his ship was still over 300k on node. Looking forward to more scopely mess ups.

it's not specifically "autogrinding" - it's "did you start the attack". In case of mutual attacking (as can happen with bioships), it's a coinflip on which actually gets determined to be the attacker. My guess would be that when you didn't score, the bioship won the coinflip to be the attacker - you can tell by looking at the combat log.

It's the last mission in a chain of missions that auto start one after another and different choices will give you different end missions. To get "peace in our time" you'll have to pick the federation choice (kill Klingons). The first mission starts in Obilent (17) / Labac (17).

I experienced two bug’s tonight. First I completed the Looter daily challenge but did not get credit for the third 4-hour chest. This along with the second bug caused me to miss the daily challenge. The second bug is one I’ve experienced on other occasions where all of my hostile kills are not counted against the daily challenges. I have two screenshots to show my point. The first shows that I got credit for 4 kills for one daily challenge but 5 for another. The second shows that the system where I was killing hostiles didn’t have any below level 37. I play on an IPhone.

1. Pink blobs have evolved to covering planets and some hostile ships now.

2. Anytime an action occurs in game (system swap, ship attack, ship send etc.) with an open keyboard it closes my keyboard and will not re open.

3. Zoom bug happening more frequently now

4. Private Messages not only disappear now but won't send to begin with about 40% of the time

5. Giant triangles instead of detailed ships happens 1 in every 20 logins.

6. Discovery instant recall function leaves my discovery lost in space until I reload the game.

7. Multiple unexplained crashes throughout the day.

8. Yellow/red Wifi symbol of doom appears even on fiber connection about 5-6 times a day.

I applied the 125% Vi'Dar loot bonus exocomp prior to hunting borg probes. It gave the original Vi'Dar the boost (after using the first daily borg system token), however when I used my Vi'Dar Talios (for the second borg system token) the Vi'Dar Loot Exocomp boost was not being applied. The exocomp token was still active during both runs. Why was the loot bonus not being applied to the Vi'Dar Talios? Has anyone else been experiencing this issue?

You should contact CS regarding your stuck ship. There's a procedure listed in #👽-how-to-contact-support , but some have faster success going through the chatbot with short, simple answers.

Scopely what has happened to your Support team?? I have send a ticket with is more than 72 hours old and I have sent a reminder which probably will take another 72 hrs or more to respond to that? By the time your team respond the event would have been over. Why bother even answering then ??

What is your current rep with the romulans? A lot of reputation levels have 2 stages for their dailies, one when reaching said level and another one once you're about half way to the next

You've mined G4 ore in that SS, the daily requires G3. The ore grade you need is linked to the Rom faction rep you have, increase it higher if you want your dailies to request G4.
