Can I make a suggestion? Allow server relocation after a merger. Our server will merge tomorrow and it's already 1 big list of people trying to harras others. Will lead to many players quiting

I think allowing people to escape their reputations is far worse than making them stay. You start to create a perverse incentive for players to ruin a server if you allow them to move off.

If Scopely doesn't give us better options to handle harrasment in-game it's the normal players that leave

it a safer bet to assume that in any server you go you'll find people behaving in a certain non pleasant matter, so changing server will probably not work for that
The only way bullies stop is to bully them back. We had a few like that and we made it so that they couldn't mine, finish Battlepass or missions. They stopped in a few weeks, apologized and actually became productive members on the server. Running to another server that is going to have the same issues isn't going to help.

If you're specifically being targeted for harassment, then contact CS. Otherwise, it's a weird thing to believe the world isn't filled with these people on all the servers already. And now that you want to give them incentive to ruin servers, they're just gonna be a bit worse
The only rules you need to follow are the ToS. If you don't like the ROE, you can choose to not follow it, or try to change it as part of the server's community

Some will leave, that's a given, no matter what happens
Just about every server has some form of ROE. Moving is not going to help you. If you're the type that wants to be able to freely hit anyone, you can go rogue and deal with the consequences. If you feel that you're getting hit too much, grow and fight back.

@royal hazel RoE on my server prohibits even entering alliance territory that you dont control. its protected higher than swarm space which also prohibits PvP of any kind. when theres territory events alliances opt in to PvP participation to welcome outside players announced in GC. yes most RoE is pretty similar. so when i say i might have picked a different server if i knew the RoE before going over 12, thats why

My ROE was like that as well. It evolved as we played on because as a whole we realized it was bad for the server. You guys will figure that out soon enough when the big guys keep getting bigger and they can't hit anyone else because they had unfettered growth. We opened territory back up to OPC hunting so the smaller players and alliances could gain materials and grow so that the bigs had people to fight with.
Why would CS control player actions in a sandbox game?

Asking CS to shape the environment like that is very different from sandbox pvp. If you want something, you'll have to earn it. If the server's not how you want it, there's no running away, just like in real life, you'll have to put in the work to change it.

I also said you can limit this change one time for account, and here is one way to do it, after the merge, if you still have the relocation token, the one that become useless after liv12, that token is converted to a new kind that works for any level, but let you move only on servers that has a similar age (so also no high levels that go and harass new servers)

I was thinking more how my idea of a auto-destruct system could work. Press and hold down the recall button. Then a pop up emerges and asks āwould you like to initiate the auto-destruct sequence?ā If āyesā is chosen, it could put up a second pop up that asks ādoes the first officer concur?ā If āyesā is selected, then the destruction begins in a few seconds. I think it would be a fun way to reference TNG while providing more safeguards against possible accidental auto destructs. I see that the abandon ship idea has been the most polarizing suggestion in the voteoff! š¤£š¤£š¤£

I just press recall, then search along the path my ship will be taking for a base large enough to blow me up. Or, if its a smaller ship/in a high level system, blowing it up on hostiles would work
Primarily for the speed at which an auto destruct feature would work. What youāve described could take 30 seconds to a minute+ depending your location. Auto destruct could be done in about 10 seconds. Plus, I think this feature has an element of being an Easter egg.

The feature is essentially an instant recall. In exchange for instant recall, you pay with the price of the ship.

Letās pivot for a moment. I think there are a variety of players (myself included) who would find auto destruct useful. So even if these players are irrational, does it hurt you to get this feature?
In addition, the feature could be (relatively) easily implemented by the development team. And thus would not impact their revenue model.

Haha Technically, you are correct that auto destruct means the total loss of the ship in real life. But this game is not real life. The creators accepts certain inconsistencies to make the game playable. For example, how is it that a ship can be blown up by another player and then be instantly rebuilt? It makes no logical sense, but itās essential for the game. This feature is just using the same framework for an instant recall button.
If that was the case⦠then I would auto destruct some kehras and talias and valkhas that I have a lot ā¦. To get some points on an event for thatā¦

It depends the specific instance youāre referring to. Throughout the various series, ships were shown either being crippled or in many cases were shown being totally lost. The fact that on STFC, the ships are never lost and the crew are always okay is really somewhat silly when looked at critically.

This is a strategy game heavy on PvP. I absolutely would pay for the option to self destruct with an area effect of damage against all players (even alliances mates so this is realistic). Make it EXPENSIVE (in game rss) so that it is a last ditch option. But just imagine the usage in TC and war. I think a real opportunity is missed if this isnāt even considered.

As much as I love the idea of being able to swarm a whale with self-destructing mayflowers, you are unfortunately correct.
Even CCP was forced to remove splash damage from Eve for that very reason 
Mind you, sub-G4 ship loss in STFC is very low cost, so I'd actually be fine with a bit of mission spot griefing - might make targeting something other than one of the 8 million players a bit easier
Griefing a mission point is a reasonable part of war IMO. Making a self destruct action coat enough to make someone think twice about doing it is the key. Imagine this scenario, self destruct (like cloaking and every other special action) requires a certain mat to act on. But once enacted the ship that self destructed can repair, but it does not benefit from helps or speed ups. So once you do it, that ship is down for 8-10 hours. That way it is only actionable as intended - a last resort. This way it takes its place correctly in the strategy of combat.

Extreme cost for strong effect: the more it takes, the more it can do
I think self-destructing as a quick ride home is an entirely sensible idea. Adding AoE attacks to the game, whilst catnip for a PvPer like me, would cause far too much gnashing of carebear teeth for Scopely to endure.
It would also be a nightmare to code, as it would require extensive modification of the combat mechanics.
The concept of self-destruct is far more expensive irl than it would be in this game and it's only because of this reason that people want it. Without a cost, it's just a free ride home and wildly unrealistic.
So? Realism isn't exactly high on the features list
You want instant travel? then pay a fee. We have it already: it costs one extra dock slot, a Summoning disco, and a lot of shroom juice.
And we can currently flip that cost to trit/dil by suiciding on another ship. Adding auto-destruct just makes it easier if your ship is too big to be killed by whatever's in the system.
Sure, now that you're willing to accept a cost then it's time to decide how valuable self-destruct on demand is worth. Smashing against a big enough hostile to kill you may take several minutes of travel to reach, or the contents of your cargo + shield if you were looking for a player to do it against. It'll be more than just trit/dil for sure

It's not QoL, it's a game play easing. You're asking to remove the time cost component for a pve suicide for free. And asking for power for free is pretty boring. It's a video game, meant to take time (or rss, or mats, or something) for progression.
OK - then why do ships instantly return to the station when they pop? Why don't we have to send a salvager out to pick up the escape pods & scrape up the remains of the ship?
I think that scopely cottoned on to the idea that making folks twiddle their thumbs waiting for ships to warp places (beyond a certain point) is counterproductive...
Hence summoning, warp researches & superhighways. I see the self-destruct suggestion as an addition to that.

The trit/dil/speedup cost is the same for both pve suicide and self-destruct. But the former has a time cost as well, that's the part you want for free.

Personally, I wouldn't get much from travel-only self-destruct, as I don't push ops or rep beyond my research or ships. I can totally see why folks would want it, however, and think that it'd be a sensible thing for scopely to do in light of the rest of the game
A couple of suggestions:
- The armada screen should actually be where individuals can go to "Join" an armada. Then allow the armada leader from that screen to a) know who's coming, b) decide power/crew/etc, c) auto-route the ship to that particular armada (including DS)
- Zero nodes. I would love to see any of the following: a) when a node goes zero, it automatically starts a clock and after 5 minutes the ship (if still on a zero) blows up, b) in the battle log indicate whether when attacked was the ship actually mining or was it not mining. One of the issues here is the PvP brackets and higher level players not being able to kill lower level players off nodes.
- Notifications across devices, iOS in particular. Notifications will either show up on one device or the other, not both (such as an iPhone and iPad). Either let the player pick which device gets the notification (if only 1 notification to a device is possible) or send the notification to all devices that are using a particular Scopely ID.
- Change the Events layout to the layout that you see in Refinery. Going in and out of each event tile is a pain in the butt and would be faster if it's laid out like the Refinery.
A feature to display missions you have yet to pick up in systems you've visited/discovered would be nice. It is very tedious to check every system just to be sure you got them all.
Especially considering the possibility you could still miss some anyway.
It's especially annoying to have to actually have to have a ship in every single dark space system just to be able to see if you'd missed a mission there.
You better start working on the alliances stations fast there in Scopely, and also make sure to have some DS9 skins for the stations for the spenders to buy š
And @gusty jasper please donāt let that auto destruct button to pass⦠unless thereās meaning to it⦠like we loose the ship permanently and the officers onboard, with no way of getting any mats from it or shards for the officers

Search works for anything that can also be searched directly through chat with : (like discord) the faction symbols dont have a shortcut so are also not searchable in that menu

Suggestion: a new rank of vice admiral. Can only be given to one player, whom the admiral trusts to run the alliance in their absence. Has the same permissions within the game structure as the admiral, EXCEPT that he can't transfer leadership of the alliance to a new admiral.
With that new rank, the ability for the Vice Admiral to assume the admiral rank, ONLY if the Admiral is offline for a designated number of days.
I've played other games where this "Deputy Leader" position worked very well.
Here are my suggestions. Continue the timeline with the Augments. Right now the highest warship in Augment space is a 36 I believe. When you are a trifaction, this is the only area you can go to get auto kills and rank your ship up. When your a level 44, killing level 36s is hard to rank up you ship. Iād make a new augment area in DS. New level ship, new nodes and a BB2. My next suggestion is continue the borg timeline. Level 33 is the highest. I would also put a new borg area and killing borg in DS. I would also make a new Vidar. Just some ideas.
So in the beginning of the game, Iād go around killing everyone for the pvp chests. Now the PvP chests are worthless, but for those that hate life and love to kill reds, they still get good pve chests depending on where they hunt hostiles. Why dont you reward the PvP players the same way, give us better chests!
Can research cards show current ship strength or stat increases or something? That way we can better choose which to prioritize? The change would only need to be applicable to the selected ship at the time. Or for what ever statistic the card applies to. So for a mining card I would still see the percentage increase. But it would also show relative changes. Like exactly how much is being applied to base. Say base is 1600 mining rate and I am looking at a card that applies 10% to base. Then on the tree screen the card should show 1600. Then when I select the card to possibly upgrade it. The card then shows 1600+160. Or something along those lines.

There is a lot of down-time where you are waiting on timers. I would like to be able to browse the research tree during that time and look ahead to future upgrades. But if you are already researching, you can't view the tree. This seems like a very basic thing that should be supported.

You should be able to leave drydock with only partial repairs. For example, if you return to dock with 70% damage to the hull and the repair time is 30 minutes, you should be able to leave after 15 minutes and have only 35% damage to the hull remaining.
Fix the Refinery or have a guaranteed base amount we would get daily from refining, plus a small bonus. A guaranteed amount of 20 pieces of Gas, Ore and Crystal for common and uncommon isnāt asking for much. Or adjust the amount by Ops level.
Latinum needs to be more useful. I would like it to be able to buy mats and special resources like tetryons, mycelium, irvinite, etc
Suggestion: Allow unlocking the treasury even when you're upgrading the treasury. Bought my $99 pack (webstore), accepted on iPad... but the locked treasury icon went away as soon as I accepted... but no way to select the treasury to actually unlock because treasury was upgrading. Please allow me to access my treasury (much like I can review research) while upgrading the treasury, even if only to unlock my purchase.
When a quest requires defeating a hostile, the quest should show you the hostile's strength level right there in the log. I shouldn't have to leave the log and go find the ship to know I can't do the quest yet.
I should be able to view the crew of a ship while it is out of drydock. I sometimes want to sanity check that the right officers are crewing it and it's harder to view from the Officer's page.
Sometimes you may start upgrading, researching, or building by accident. There should be a way to cancel and refund the resources spent.
Make the away team filters stick when set until changed. Setting for every new away team is ridiculous.
Thereās a workaround, if you go to any building that needs rnd (like the surrounding buildings) you can click on the requirement, and it will take you to the rnd screen where you can then select research. A bit silly, but it works.

When I am repairing my ship, the 'Locate' button is no longer available. There doesn't seem to be a reason why it couldn't still be there. Clicking it should just center the screen on my Starbase.

Strategy games should focus on at most 2-5 strategic systems with the rest of the game's mechanics supporting those primary strategic systems. This sets up a competition between players to improve their strategy in those systems and how the manage resources that support them. Creating new currencies every arc and just adding new doctored up versions of the same mechanic is not strategy. It's obfuscation through volume. If this were a TRULY strategic game, the officers would provide multiple benefits across several game mechanics. The away team system would have more effect on game play than just resource procurement and they wouldn't need new currencies to introduce anything. They would be able to use the current Mats and Resources in new ways. Don't confuse struggle with strategy. Scopely has been honest with us from the beginning. They are following the theory that they will make the most money from rage purchases. So everything they do is intended to add to that frustration up to but not past the point of raging quitting. And you can see it in each implementation. Don't complain about people wanting improvements in quality of life. I think that's more than fair for the money spenders spend on this game.
How about some tech that actually improves what you get from the refineries and draw luck ?

I think if you win another Avatar or Frame that you already have, you should get something like transport pattern. So you can buy some of the old ones that you was not around for.

Internal testing does happen. Only it is logically impossible to test updates on all supported hardware with an undeterminable combination of third-party installed software, and then release those updates with a 100% success rate.
It is an accepted practice in any software project from any developer, games or otherwise, to release updates that work on as wide a range of hardware as possible, but with the knowledge that those updates could create new issues on some combinations.
That's just the way the wind blows....
the recent update hasn't worked on all systems, i play this game on ipad, iphone, laptop and main desktop, yeah, not at the same time. but it doesn't work on either of them properly

I have the opposite problem on iPhone. That darned thing pops up on me all the time. Even when I'm just transitioning from station to system or system to galaxy views.

Some paths between galaxy nodes have a wrong weight...For example the navigation system never go from Lankan to Pheben directly. It go in romulans systems before. Similar problems in the federation's area
I'd like to suggest that the issue breaking sharing location pins be fixed. Having an emote menu was not worth breaking those.

From my understanding, the emoji update is not what broke the locations. The two are not connected other than the same update. But I agree, it's annoying not to have links.

If this is truly the case, you can send a request in to CS to transfer servers. Cases like these are handled on a case by case basis. More likely than not, you're going to have a server merge very soon if this is the case.

DS9 Arc - Kasidy Yates - Officer ability gain ship xp while mining. This is needed soooo badly! Getting G4+ ships leveled up is a nightmare & the lat cost is just to much at these levels. She would be a perfect fit for this ability! I could care less if it's her but we need this officer or ability. Even if it's an exocomp though I am not a fan of exocomps as the answer since you can never predict what you will get & when you will get it.
does the "battle debris" rewards from the cosmic cleanup event store scale with ship tier? i dont think it does because my Tier 7 Vi'dar needs tens of thousands of Charged Nanoprobes and my battle debris chest gave me 100 and a handful of ship or officer xp, i admittedly dont remember because i was too disgusted with the amount of nanoprobes i got. its a basically useless reward for an event that takes a good bit of work longer than similar hostile hunt events

Hey what if we could move officers into and out of lower deck slots even if that slot was locked on the current ship?
Example: I have a mining crew of 6 that uses a mid-level Horizon, but they're a multi-purpose crew. My new meridian has no lower decks slots open, so to swap my crew around, I need to change the ship first. That seems wholly unnecessary.

Posted it in the log, ive just seen a lot of players do such rankings internally, we certainly do, making them more official will make alliances more fun i think. Something i forgot to add, i dont know if you can edit my suggestion in the log, could be the admiral to check which privileges he wants to give to commodores, like "this commodore can only do recruitment", or select only one commodore to be able to press the territory options. Things like that.

Guys, regarding the common/uncommon/rare/epic economy.
I have no idea about you guys but I am currently sitting on a ton of rare materials which I cannot (efficiently) use, as the economy requires mostly uncommon materials (ops45).
E.g. i am sitting on 21k rare G4 gas, 5k rare G3 gas, 3k rare G4 crystal, 4k rare G4 crystal and so on but lacking uncommons to further progress..
My suggestion is - establishing some sort of up/down-grading the rarities of materials.
Even when I keep think about it, the downscaling would be sufficient enough as no player will spend 21k rare refined gas anywhere in the game anytime soon as the game is not providing opportunities to spend them..

Idea for Defiant: make it a strong lvl 32 ship.
Refine 2 Defiants to make a grade 4 Defiant.
Refine 2 grade 4 Defiants to make a grade 5 Defiant.
So you'd need to build and max 2 lower ships scrap them twice to build and max enough to build a g5.
It could make a ship that you build at g3 but fly at g5 still.

Serious suggestion that would simplify many misunderstandings in game. Why not make it automatic that if an alliance mark another alliance as enemy, ( like for declaring war) then the other alliance automatically mirrors the marking then both sides will know at the same time. š¤·š»āāļø

Enemy is enemy (or kos), the others yes, but only the enemy mark needs to be automatic.
That still doesnāt sit well for me. The red marker is used for none friendlies to possibly find the easier in systems even without hostilities adding the just automatically makes the other alliance hostile
Also if you do that to a purger group that doesnāt have you marked guess what itās a free pass for them to kill you too

An officer with below deck ability that delays or disables an enemy/attacking ships ability to warp away for a set amount of time after battles. The officer would be very valuable for setting traps using survey ships and/or realtas

Not necessarily. What it means to us is that our CM, Eco, can use the voting results in internal discussions about what the community wants.
Im not talking complete loss of warp capability, but maybe 10 seconds at t1 up to like 60 seconds at max, so that if someone hits your miner you have a slightly better chance of being able to retaliate especially if its a high impulse vidar or d4 that just runs away and jumps before you can respond
When there's maintenance put the warnings in alliance chat also instead of only global chat. Especially in times like these when you folks say it starts 1000 utc but actually start it at 0800 utc. Doing a single action in game automatically switches to alliance chat so nobody caught those warnings.
There's no reason the server notifications can't just be PM'ed or put out as NEWS (ya know, that system you already have for dissemination of information)

I dont know how to post a suggestion, but it would be so nice to have a material trade store. I need 3 star uncommon gas for so many things and i keep getting 3 star rare. Be nice if i could goto ātraderā and trade 1 rare for 3/4/5 uncommon. It would allow me to control my own resources and level up faster at the mid levels rather than being dependent on the RNG on what i getā¦.

How about putting some honest success rate numbers on those away team missions. The percentages given at the start of the mission are a joke. They way they are now, I guarantee if you do 10 missions with a 90% estimated success rate, at least half of them will fail. The whole away team approach needs revamped, come to that. It was supposed to be a way to use lower level officers, but you are lucky to get even the bogus success rate number over 90% with anything but top level officers.
If you can collect a large sample showing that a 90% success rate fails half the time then Iām sure that Eco can ask for adjustments to be made to ATAās but without enough data they wonāt change it.
I'd love to suggest a ship XP rework actually. The more i see hundreds of people trying to level their ships in augment territory, the more i realise it all sucks.
Duh⦠a valid statistical sample would take a player through about a hundred of those (40āish at least). Scopely doesnāt need a sample - they have direct access to the algorithms that run the thing. Why should players need to commit to that sort of effort to get them to look at their algorithms for a problem?

The problem is people are trying to do rare and epic away team missions without using rare or epic officers. When away teams first started and all we had was common and uncommon away teams, I had no issues using common and uncommon officers to complete them. As time went on and we got rare and epic away teams missions, those were meant to use rare and epic officers not the common or uncommon. You can still complete common and uncommon away teams missions with common and uncommon officers. What I hear is I want to complete rare and epic away teams mission without having to use my critical officers. You have to make a choice, if you desperately need that away team mission, you need to use those officers. Using three uncommon officers to complete a rare or epic away teams mission, regardless of success percentage, is probably going to fail.
Hereās the thing. For players, this is supposed to be a game, not a job. For Scopely, this is their job, not a game. If their users/players are bringing up potential issues with their product, it is Scopelyās job to check it out, not their customers responsibility to somehow āproveā it.
They already got us playing on what is essentially a beta platform, since theyāve consciously chosen not to incorporate a beta.
Out of the thousands of players playing the game, some will necessarily have a run of bad luck. Theyāre the ones whoāre going to bring up a āpotential issueā, except there isnāt one.
If they were to check out every report like that, they would be constantly just checking the ata rng algorithm.
Interesting. If thatās the case, then it should definitely reflect in those success percentages. I never run an away team mission with less than 98% success rate, but have had any number of those fail (way more than 2%). Havenāt really paid any attention to epic rare makeup, though. Might be one explanation for the success rate discrepancy. But, of course, that still doesnāt excuse the bogus success rate percentage assigned by Scopely.
Your trying to combine correlative statistics with statistical analysis and there inlies your error. You think if you do 100 missions with a 98% success rate you should only fail two. The mathematical truth is if you do 100 away missions with a 98% success rate, you should fail about 12.
Players are not interested in the niceties of the various mathematical approaches. If the game tells them they got a 98% success rate, then I guarantee that the playerās expectation is that they will succeed somewhere very close to 98 out of 100 tries. If the actuality is only 88 out of 100, then thatās what the success rate percentage given to them should reflect.
Iāve been tracking the Crit success rates for a couple of days, and with 30 ATAs completed and an expected 9.72 Criticals, I got 9 Critical successes (only 1 of those ATAs had <100%, and was a success, but not at all statistically relevant). Obviously a very small sample
I expect 1M in my bank account every morning, but the truth of the matter is I have to drag my ass out of bed to bust my ass at work. Expectations are rarely reality and players can either educate themselves and understand how something works or revel in their ignorant misery as to why something doesn't work the way they think it should. Scopely is a business and is not going to pander to us.

The only PvP centric way to advance in the game was pvp stealing other player opc cargo. There was literally no PvP way to advance in the game apart from that, and that really offered very limited advancement opportunity. The real advances for individual players was through resource acquisition - i.e. missions, events and mining. Can you say farmville? Scopely eventually tacked on the only real pvp based aspect of the game, which is territories, mainly because of all the players whining about lack of pvp. They throw in some odd pvp events from time to time, also, although participation in those doesnāt really amount to much.
Bottom line - players looking for a strategy-centric PvP game are looking in the wrong place if STFC is where they are looking.

It's not unreasonable to demand that the reported values for elements of chance accurately reflect the actual odds of success or failure. I have my suspicions about lucky office pulls but putting together enough data to get a sufficient p-value is very difficult.
Iād like to see more dynamic user activated events. For example, the ability to trigger a hostile invasion of a system while players must defend a location. Once the event starts no new ships can warp in. Survivors get rewards.

To help with the away teams mission problem of not having officers people want to dedicate 3 to 5 days of being without, release away team specific officers that get bonuses for doing away team missions? Just an idea
Provide different notification sounds for different in-game alerts for when not playing (building/repair finished, attacked, station attacked, etc)

i think most of the hate for the chumming event not working stem from the fact that most missions requires too many time, so if you redeem them and they do not count for an event you are easily screwed, having to relay on speed-up, that may or may not be there, to complete new missions, and with the random generator that likes to give out mostly 2-3 days mission while there is a related event, event that will last less than 2 days
i made in the past the suggestion to limit the duration of missions to 24h for epics, 12 for rares, 8 for uncommons and 4 for commons and I think this suggestion must be evaluated again
noted, I was actually hoping a new scoring metric that scored for SENDING would be able to balance this that way scoring wasn't dependent on completion. That obviously did not fire the way we wanted to. š
well giving points for launching instead of completing is not a bad idea for me, but a similar shift must be communicated to the player base in a timely manner, or players will launch what they have before the event thinking it will be like the past events
I recommend that for this playing community. That they recognize all military veterans and if any ones who are active duty chests for serving our country. Iām very sure more than 20% of all people playing was in the military at sometime. Itās just a way of thank you to all vets.

@gusty jasper (sorry if tagging wrong person) I have one major suggestion of something that has taken a really long time to put right but with no sign of change that's officers from previous events not being available anywhere apart from special events.
The worst case of this is picard and data the tng arcs were months ago since then we have had the rest of that crew added to the ultra recruit but not these two why not? Even in the big event store at the end of it or in the next ones thet weren't available. This is a bit strange when ones like rom and quark who aren't available anywhere else have been available in 3 small event stores and 1 big one to my recollection.
The game info in app stores says something about getting your favourite officers but two of the most iconic thst you added you have made it almost impossible to get them or promote them if you managed to do it in the original event.
During the event they were available I had just gone up to a higher bracket for events so was one of thr least powerful in my bracket so had no chance of winning any slb events thats fine those are the breaks other times I've got good rewards for being at the top. Although the events are supposed to gey us things earlier as a reward nor punish us for not spending enough money to be top of our bracket and win the event which is how it feels when you won't give us access to officers in recruit boxes or other ways like refinery.
Since the TNG arc we have had new ships thr feesha the ceritis and amalgam lots of new officers that are free plat rewards but picard data the ferengis and tendi (yes I know she's newest) are nowhere to be seen. What was the point giving these officers as a choice if we are stuck at half shards or at lvl 5
Regarding suggestion 712, leveling up your rogue rep adds rare and eventually epic exchange direcrives to the rogue store, they're extremely easy to source right now if your rep is high enough, I'd love to see them do something similar with alliance store sourcing for rare and epics for regular armadas.
Sure, like if you dual lock you can start getting rare directives in your dailies and when you trilock, epics.
That's an interesting idea, I guess I was thinking more of an alliance benefit that as the alliance levels up the other chests get unlocked but to put it in your dailies might actually be the better idea, not locking players into an alliance that's slow grow etc.
I don't know if dual/tri lock would be the right criteria or what the task could be but thats an interesting approach.
I was just thinking a metric that was outside an alliance influence, is something that everyone strives for, is achievable but not a gimmie, and really is in pace for when you need the chests for your level.
Yeah no I like that idea a lot actually the more I think about it, rewards would probably end up being low enough to get you maybe 1 armada a week, maybe pull XX directives a day or something, would add another option for a syndicate benefit too, increased directive rewards etc. Actually could make it a faction daily....level adjust and lock it based on rep, much like the kill hostiles you have to kill a level specific armada each day for each faction, feds kill klingon, klingon kill roms etc. If you're tri locked you run 3 armadas to get max rewards. Maybe all you get is uncommons until locked at respected then you start getting rares in the rewards, epics would have to come later but not too much later for it to be viable. I like it.
I wasn't even thinking that many as these armada chests give good rewards. More like 10 directives per day up in the rewards like we get uncommon directives now. This way you get a freebie rare every 20 days and a freebie epic every 50 days. I wouldn't put armadas as a daily inofitself as the sourcing for armada directives is already part of a bigger problem. I like the syndicate idea to get more directives and shorten the time between.
Yeah would need to be balanced for sure so it wouldn't be over powered, lots of options or ways to do it.

Meridian warp interlocks you get the first 1 for free from the mission chains, more can be purchased through the territory store for Iso Resin/Emulsion. I have upgraded all 3 of my meridians this way, 1 through the mission and the other 2 through the territory store.

If we can sent ships directly to discover no matter the warp shouldnāt it also be possible that other way around? Like you have a ship with warp 100 and disco only has 50 and other ships have 25, why not make the disco be able to summon to the warp 100 ship and then warp the others to it?
Cancel option for consumables, or confirmation window. It's annoying to see the warning if ya ships are out of dock, but even hitting back still registers the consumable used.

I posted a Suggestion to allow swapping active officers with passive ones (due to ship lvl) without removing them from the lower deck. This would make swapping officers so much easier because change to a smaller high lvl ship with more active lower deck places would no more be necessary. it's horrible stupid to first swap the ship, to then swap the officer and then swap back only not to loose the passive place for the higher lvl ships later. The Suggestion is no more visible in the suggestion log and i can't find it in the suggestion archive... why did it disappeared?

Suggestion: Itās time for a new miner. Itās time for an Independent miner like the Horizon. This way itās an all around miner for the 4* community. The horizon is the work horse for the 3* mining and what ever else it is used for. I just believe a new miner that is made for the 4* area would benefit everyone.
The Amalgam and Meridian are both independent miners that reach g4 space.
I will agree to that. The amalgam isnāt like the horizon. Itās a raiding craft without the mining speed. The Meridian is a Isogen miner. None of them are geared to being a crystal, ore or gas miner.

Neither are efficient to mine gas, ore, or crystal. Our server allows clearing them if there arenāt nodes a available. Deep Space is too congested to allow people to slow mine using these. So, yeah, an independent miner for deep space would be nice. A Miner that is efficient at the three mats.

Hi folks, this is my game suggestion,
After exceeding Respected in rep in the factions, it takes a lot longer to do mining, since I we still need 3* mats to scrap D3ās, Mayflowers and Legionaryās in then Ops 40ās levels, for ship parts and more 4* mats.
Basically, after progressing in rep we have to do twice as much mining now to get shields from the Dailies and still obtain 3* mats while earning some 4* mats from from the dailies.
I suggest that the Higher Faction rep mining-Dailies, also give 3* mats in the original Respected quantity, so we can at least do a 3* Materials minimum chest size refine.
Reason being I have seen a lot of High 40ās level players state that the game takes too long now that they have progressed that far, and they have quit the game for real life instead. I have decided itās true that further we level up in ops/rep, we have more to do and the game takes more time each day. Re-adding 3* mats to Higher rep mining-Daily Goals, will help reduce the perspective that the game takes too much time to play anymore.
Needing to do more and more activities as a result of leveling up or increasing in rep, creates a feeling of digging ourselves in a time consuming, albiet Star Trek Fantasy, hole.
It is at this point that I have seen so many player, say they have enjoyed the game but they donāt have time for it anymore, and are getting on with real life.
I for one am always sad to see any player, especially from my own alliance or server, leave the game. Changing this aspect so the game doesnāt punish us and take longer each day as we progress, will make it easier to retain players who have gotten busier in real life, or donāt have time for the increased activity requirements.
We should be Able to stack the last 2 hours of shielding base with additional shield time. So itās not unlimited shielding just not wasting the hour or 2 your unavailable in real life.

How about research lines to improve the refinery? Itās about the only thing in game that canāt be improved. And since we canāt scrape the the useless thing letās be able to improve it!

I have a super suggestion. Charges on my credit card are nothing. However, every time I buy something from the STFC Store. I get a credit card charge for everything I purchase. If all items I purchase at one time should have one credit card charge. If I buy 3 items from the store, I get hit with 3 different charges. So cost of the item and charge for using apple or google services. I think if Scopley cared for there customers. They should add a cart. This way if you buy more than 2 items. There will be one charge instead of 3 or 4 charges.
It's interesting that they haven't created a store credit yet that allows you to buy a lot at once and trickle buy stuff in-game. Lots of games do that, and it makes a lot of sense for the companies to hold money on their books as well as hide the true cost of pack contents to encourage spending.

The game is designed that way. Currently, I am level 35 going into 36. With all the tasks that need to be done, I donāt think Iāll get to level 40 and beyond.
But youāre right. Scopely needs to make serious changes if they want to continue luring new players and keep the ones they have. On my server when I started, Grade 2 mining areas stayed full with new players. Now those places are barren wastelands. Only occupied by the stations of a few high level players.

I dont like #758 as it is written. Yes, we need the ability to do something with blueprints that are hanging around, but ship XP is probably not the answer. There is only so much of that you can spend and then you will just end up with a pile of XP you cant use vs blueprints you cant use. Some sort of blueprint converter to a more universal currency would be useful, like say cosmic cleanup tokens or even away team tokens so you can use them to fuel blueprints of your choice from them at a slightly faster rate.
Since cosmic cleanup seems to be the place where ships come now to get, and it's the only real source of rare armada tokens, I would say that would be the one to go with.

With the exception of miners, and perhaps some of the top tiers, I find I dont really even use it. The warships level fairly well with just use unless you are in a hurry. But admittedly I have more patience for doing that which others may not want to wait for.

While you wait for them to fix it, you can avoid it by letting the system fully load before moving your miner off the node
Please add a "favorite ship first" option, where you can once select some ships to show them left in the ships caroussel, before power ranks starting. there many ships left which you just dont use (e.g. ops 39, gladius, bortas,...) but the later ones every day like (meridian, bb, disc... )
Add ONE menu to replace all of the other shop/gift/raf/ whatever 100 sub menus.
And add an option to define ONCE, what you want to collect every day (raf/gifts/alliance stuff/synd/faction/.. just all). After this is defined, one button to collect them all with one hit.
The definitions, of'corse, should be adjustable later on..
That literally is not the point. It's been going on since the app was first created. I'm sick of the "waiting." They've had ample time to fix it but they demonstrated they obviously do not care
Would be nice to get a "refresh" button that would update everything with the latest infos from the server. It is just stupid having to close and reopen the app just because some stuff didin't update properly due to connection issues or whatever else causes failed updates.
With failed updates I mean e.g. refinery options being shown that are actually not available, mining nodes showing still being occupied by the very same ship that you are wanting to place onto them after a node refresh, destroyed ships that still float around the system and especially on spawning points...
A simple click on a "refresh" button and all those memory artefacts should be gone

Fix things that people have been asking for for over a year.... s openly no let's make up characters that aren't even in the show.... because fixing the game or fixing things every server is begging for...not important... great new pike and still worthless ships, worthless events and dailies that don't feed appropriate levels. 2 thumbs down.

Yes the more I level the more it wants me to do. Events need more points and hostile kills at higher ops. Mining is bad with higher rep, I need to mine all grades now, its triple the work. If I got to g5 Iāll have to mine even more. Its digging myself a time consuming hole into the game. Iām ops 46 and I was sorta happy until I took my rep up in all the Factions. Between all the events and the mining i cant keep up and have a social life IRL. So i think Iām quitting the game today.
The mining/rep is similar to when I went to OPS 40 before the Amalgram was released, I built a 100 billion steel wall and didnāt have to worry about being raided. I felt secure and liked the game.
Now I canāt survive without a shield up even at ops 46 the whales 1 crack pass me and raid half of it in 30 minutes.
The rep, excessive mining of all grades, limited base security, no time for all of it. Quitting the game, made it to 46 and it was more fun in ops 20-30.
The game was more fun in the mid 20ās. Like you said, the higher up we ho the more this becomes a job than a game. Eventually people will hit that wall and leave enmasse.
This evening I spent time with a friend irl and played Pool. 30 minutes in bed before falling asleep isnāt enough time for all the events. Its either give up my entire evening and social life to play this for 3/4 hours, or fall behind the curve due to missed events and battle pass.
If I canāt be good at the game Iād rather quit. I guess scopely gets the funds on the leveling up before people do quit and realize how long the game takes at higher levels.
Okay if I summarized this into a Suggestion, id say make it faster and easier to complete the dailyās so we can have shields. Steel wall means nothing vs these whales amalgrams, and sometimes we donāt have enough time for dailies.
Not sure if Iām alone on this idea either btw but $200 for the SNW Medal of honor, (i bought both packs) to get about 9 ship blueprints feels like the biggest scam In my life. Would be nice if the magnification level would either be stored system-wide or at least game-wide. It's a nuisance to have to adjust the magnification level each and every time you move out of the system view to e.g. AC or GC, collect rewards or give helps to your ally mates. Hate it when the magnification level changes from max "zoom out" to nearly max "zoom in" whenever I change views. There is a reason I chose the magnification level I am at present. Why has the game to reset it every time I leave the system view?
It doesnāt happen every time, so Iām assuming itās meant to stick. It just gets confused very frequently especially if Iām switching between apps.

Just one time, can we please have an arc/battle pass that does not bring new content, but instead allows the devs to fix some of the stuff that's been broken for so long now. To keep trying to add new stuff when things already don't work properly is insanity. I'd much rather have a fully working game than a game with loads of new stuff that doesn't work half of the time. I think if there was a vote or poll on the idea you'd find a lot of people would prefer the current content fixed rather than new content rushed out and installed over the top of pre-existing broken content (which only normally has negative implications). And this isn't just a disgruntled player ranting, it's a genuine suggestion. You could have a relatively generic battle pass with normal rewards + tokens that could be redeemed for things in a large event store, much like the last arch, but without adding new content, just correcting some of the things that have been broken for some time now.
Add a new diplomacy level for hostile that's lower than neutral, but, less hostile than enemy.
Sometimes you are in need of an officer and realize that the specific one is on an away mission. So a button from the character screen to go directly to that specific ongoing away mission would be MUCH appreciated by me, because you otherwise have to go through every active mission to find where you send the one desired off into the void.

You've created the Discovery crew Special to get more shards for the Discovery crew. You've relented in adding new officers to the Ultra Recruit pack... even giving us new transporter patterns to choose from, but you have made absolutely NO EFFORT in updating the Premium Recruit, Standard recruit or adding to the same 7 officers that are in each of the faction recruits. WHY?
I got a question. Why won't the scoply program the game so that no alliance can re-occupy the same territory for more than 3 terms. Like wait another 3 terms before re-capture. Because we have too many alliances that is hoarding the same territory and no one moving and they are too powerful for anyone to do anything about. It make force alliance to move about the territory map and make war more fun.
Because nothing about pvp in this game is really fun. Either you don't spend (or don't spend enough), so you get stomped, or you spend and get bored because there is no challenge.

Positive feedback ( i had time for my events this morning just in time) the new Banners are an improvement since they are not a link and are more streamlined. I was suggesting no banner but the smaller and Non-link one is preferable so nice work there.

I do like the smaller banner, but miss the version that linked to the event it was scoring for directly. Allowed you to bypass layers of event boxes and claiming whatever you had waiting to finish just to look at that event.

Not really. You have to be at your station to activate one. I almost never use exos because I have to activate and then waste 10 minutes getting wherever I'm grinding or mining - wasting about 17% of the exo's time. And then half the time I never think of it until my ship is already out.
I would like if all exos worked when you clicked it, but as I understand, the coding to activate pretty much anything is a mess that would be challenging at best to fix. Same reason when you finish a research you have to dock the miner for it to kick in. Everything is coded around that docking.

#830 is not just fat fingers, if u click/tap on the lowest line of Locate button it actually translates to clicking Recall button. Same happens with Manage button turning to Locate and when u select a hostile and whatever if u click the right most line of Scan button game will register it as clicking on Attack

In game faq , this is a joke since it barely gives information. It mostly gives a description but always leaves out the most important information needed. It sucks going there to try to find information get a generalized description but none of the important information that people look for. FAQ? I have a suggestion: A station "Boneyard".
In a game like this, players will leave, for this reason or that. Some of them just need a break, some will find early on this game isn't for them, some will quit the game for good, and (unfortunately) some will die. I have seen all four - and on multiple occasions - in the nearly two years I've played this game. This has led to a quickly growing problem of "dead" stations taking up valuable space in the game. Territory systems, Rogue space, and certain other systems where there are a very limited number of available station slots are all affected. Some systems have so many abandoned stations, it's just plain depressing.
I propose the following:
- Open up a "Boneyard" section of the Galaxy, and have it inaccessible to normal game play.
- Abandoned stations may remain at their present location for a finite period of time (say, 90 days).
- Players who return to the game within 90 days will be allowed to play, as normal.
- If a player fails to return to the game within 60 days, an email goes out, advising that player's station will be moved in 30 days. Similar emails will follow with 14, seven, and three days' notice, culminating in a final 24-hour notice.
- If, after 90 days, the player has not returned, his/her station is automatically moved to the Boneyard for one year. An email advising of this move will be sent to the player.
- If the player returns to the game while the station is in the Boneyard, he/she may use a Relocation Token to do so (One can be provided upon request, if necessary).
- If, after 11 months, the player has not returned, a string of notices (similar to #4 above) will be emailed, advising of his/her station's permanent deletion.
- If, 24 hours after the final notice, the player still has not returned, the station will be deleted from the game.
This idea will open up the game to new players, and welcome back those who had walked away, without cluttering up valuable system slots.
Disagree with the permanent deletion part due to being one of the players that left for more than 1 year and then came back. If I had to start over, I wouldve been pissed andnever returned. I had to stop because i didnt have time to play while finishing college.
Yea I would say a permanent deletion should be off the table, but no reason there can't be an inaccessibile inactive space that comes with a relocation token
suggest that 1 or2 servers in us a eur be setup as Beta servers with those player that would like to help develop the game upgrades could request and invite. all new material i.e. upgrades to game new ARCs could then be checked to help find AND FIX any bugs that may appear prior to being put into mainframe of the game. by doing this scopely and Digit Devs could prevent most of the issues we are now seeing in the game
the invites to the BETA should go to players of all ranges of expertize with the game so you get a fair reveiw of the game content and its bugs before its put to use in the game for all of us

I actually understood that at least on some servers accounts were purged. After about 3 months inactive on our server, the account seems to be dropped for folks in our alliance without any action from us to remove them.
And their bases are no longer there at that point.
Heard that after some time of inactivity (think it was 1 or 3 months) player base is moved to lvl 1 system and then after some more time the base disappears (comes back if player logs in again)
its no bug , but really preferred when the banner was a shortcut to event scores especially slbs... a thing that would be nice is that they wouldnt hide what kind of ship you're trying to hit like in the picture I show here.. maybe make the scan/attack window smaller
To my knowledge, inactive stations currently are not moved/purged. There are three abandoned stations in my alliance's territories right now.
I still favor expunging inactive stations, but to the point of someone rejoining the game after over a year, the email notices could contain an option to keep your station "on ice" for up to another year.
But seriously, let's do something about all of these abandoned stations. They are literally in every system I have seen.
Ask your admiral to request the removal of inactive stations from your territory. It may take some time, but it usually seems to help when they take the initiative
Would be nice for ships to drop from warp directly into in-system impulse. Currently I randomly experience ships leaving warp, the "Warping" info is gone, but remain outside the target system for up to 2 minutes. Rather annoying when you need adjust your flight path to reach a DS armada.

People barely use the in game chats on our server. Everything is in discord so they can bully, name call, trash talk etc, without the risk of getting their account banned.

That wasn't just a lag, or a bug. That was a massive server crash, that threatens the stability of their game, and calls into question the security of their authentication server. That very well could have been a DDoS attack on their server. Which carries serious implications. Sweeping it under the rug is the wrong answer. Big difference between the normal rabble-rousing in channels over bs bugs, and this.
As stated by someone else I donāt think itās their auth servers as Disney+ went down too.

I would suggest people quit adding things like 'fire the devs' or 'write better code' to the list. Aside from wasting the mods time, it's obviously not going to happen or even be forwarded and it serves little purpose except to undermine this process which has actually produced some results so far.
On the one hand, you're right; on the other hand, they need to know just how badly they are hurting their brand (including their 'personal brand'). How many of us who are in a position to potentially hire IT or dev types would even look at a resume that included Scopely. I wouldn't. I also won't ever play anything else that Scopely is associated with. I lack the energy and time to track the careers of the dev team and avoid anything they are associated with, but I wish I could. We do need some way to pass on the depth of the hole they need to dig out of.

We lack the perspective to be able to disassociate the technical and philosophical problems with the game from the people who are implementing those problems. I don't know if it is all coming from management or corporate culture or if it is sloppy, lazy programming. We can't tell from our end. So what we are left with is blaming them as a group. I'm sure that some are diligent, hard-working coders who aren't allowed to do better, but I can't tell who fits that and who doesn't, so they all get painted with the same brush.
No, youāre left with criticising the output. You say you have no idea who is or isnāt capable, so smearing all of them is wrong. It is how stereotypes are born. The bugs are bad. The rewards being changed is bad. The money grab is bad. The devs themselves are people run by other people and you have no idea whether they get a say in spending time on certain issues or not.
I can, however, say that anyone associated with a process that is so deeply flawed is suspect enough that I wouldn't want to hire them. That is neither discourteous nor unprofessional. The problems have reached that level of severity in my opinion. They have a narrow window to try and correct things before the damage to their personal brands (and thus future hireability) is too severe. Except for Eco. I have a lot of respect for him at the moment. He was pretty clearly watching the event changeover and in contact with someone very quickly from the speed at which they made their, albeit minimal, corrections. They need more people willing to take those types of steps.

At any rate, the perceived lack of some sort of QA step before things go live has been a consistent issue. I'll grant that, prior to Memorial day weekend or so, things looked like they might be improving. There were fewer significant issues as new events came live, aside from the weird hour or so delay on the weekly Cerritos event. In a lot of ways, that makes this set of issues worse. We were starting to have a sense of hope, which is now stepped on. While it may not be fair to vent that much anger here, it also isn't fair to say we shouldn't have that anger.

I voted for it on the basis of recently having to deal with an 11 year old troublemaker in my alliance. He probably wouldnāt have been invited without some internal discussion had we known. Hadnāt given any thought to other implications of such a tag though.

Maybe a set up where an alliance could be marked family friendly or NSFW and the system could quietly limit who can join what based on an age that I think we probably have scopely when we set up our scopely ids? Itās likely still exploitable though.
Yeah you have to think how situations like that would be used by people who don't have other's best interest at heart and make decisions based on that. It's best to keep everything anonymous and assume everyone is underage

Suggestion for Scopely: conduct regular satisfaction surveys for level 15 and above, make those surveys public and directly correlate management pay to customer satisfaction.

@flat matrix There is a max number of missions you can have. Archiving still counts against that total. You will need to finish one to make space.

on #882, last time I read through the TOS there was nothing in there about multiple accounts, granted that was 2 years ago.
I believe there is and itās always been there but like many other companies and games itās hard to reinforce
I'll double check, but I tried looking for it carefully before I made an alt, which I didn't end up having time for and has been gone for almost 2 years.
After a quick review, this is the only one that comes close to prohibiting multiple accounts: Seek to obtain advantage or information from our Services using methods not expressly permitted by Scopely.
Iām pretty sure there was something else wording about it. But I canāt remember I looked at the ToS about a year ago
Considering that the TOS states āan accountā, that kind of implies only one account.
Only very vaguely and not in any way that would be defensible if someone wanted to make a legal stink about one or more accounts that they had been spending on being banned.
