When it comes to bases, with the way base defenses work currently there is very little chance of cracking a base of a player with a similar power ranking to you, unless you can find those few random players that only level up exactly what is needed to advance ops or have a low level casher with powerful ships. In both instances you would still need a fair amount of time and for their ships to be out of base.

and we ask for no retaliation... so we can address the situation and offenders
@ornate nymph I think officers are one of the more important features of the game. However, I've noticed a lot of people avoid buying officers packs because they are look for the immediate satisfaction of "power gain". It would be useful if we could see how officers can affect ship power when their abilities are activated outside of the officer bonus. E.g. when Kirk Morale engaged with accompanying officers ship attack/defense are +30% and how it affects overall ship power.
Would like to be able to scan players in our own alliance or have a rewards box option on their base too. This way if their shield is down and they are afk we can see if there is anything worth defending or alert them. Many people don't waste a shield if they have nothing to protect but we can't tell if we can't see what they have.
Right now the only way to convince people is I send out my ship of same or less power and win.

I've been seeing the suggestion floating around to having attacks be limited to a certain strength level and find that to be a terrible idea. Why would someone spend $$ to increase their strength only to buy themselves out of a certain attack bracket? People spend $$ to gain and advantage, and that system would completely nullify that concept. I'm sorry but it would be completely unrealistic to implement.
Giving a certain percentage of loot by a level discrepancy, however, is more sensible. Remove the level cap entirely and only give 1% loot if a level 30 attacks a level 15. That way whales still gain an advantage and can destroy everything in their path, just the destruction is mitigated based on the level discrepancy. I can see Scopely implementing something more in this direction.

Getting a clear advantage by paying brings* down of overall revenue because one buy for an advantage means less than maybe 5/10 regular buys to keep up for the time not spend hunting ships/ raiding bases etc.
People have to be realistic in their suggestions, though. It would make no sense for Scopely to implement a change that damages their pockets

I'm not saying my idea is perfect. Perhaps a cap to the raid frequency before a permanent shield comes up. So someone can raid 1% to a limit of 20 times and then the victim auto shields. I would much rather be having this conversation than the one where: "oh this guy is 180k and now I'm 220k but since I'm too strong now from dropping 1k on a Kumari upgrade, I can't attack him."

I've seen a few games where the percentage are calculated based on range difference. Would probably work, especially if they give bonus percentages to attacking higher levels, would drive combat both ways. And let low players attack much higher players if they want and remove player protection for x amount of hours if they choose to do so.
I suppose it should be off a max percentage of rss raided. That way the dude who fucked up and didn't pop a shield overnight still has x% of rss and isn't completely fucked
Any system will have proes an cons. I come from a game where you could destroy people's bases... soo trust me... losing some ressources doesn't affect my morale.

@ornate nymph base upgrades should be within their respective warehouse max holding levels. Except maybe opscenters, shipyards and refineries. It would be nice if the trit and dilt generators were at twice their output. It seems low for the level increase need. P2w guys will buy packs to speed up progress but the f2p players can barely upgrade at those current rates. Much less play the game as intended.

We also had a lot of rage quitting on our server after one of the top 3 alliances raised the galaxy, those stations are still there taking up room but aren’t profitable to raid with now one collecting rss anymore, any way to turn the generators on all bases auto collect so that even if someone quits and their base is not removed it’s still advantageous our players to raid it. Pretty much what I’m asking for is to fix the games economy.

In our server a handful of top level players have dozens of millions of tritanium and dilithium (sometimes more) and have no way to spend it except for alliance levelling maybe. All of the other players are starving for tritanium which takes weeks to mine and days to farm on hostiles, so they raid each other and prey on the weak like vultures. Mining should be a lot more rewarding than it is now. Farming should as well, loots for all levels of hostiles should be buffed especially after Lv15. Mining officers abilities should be fixed and buffed. And we really need some way to share ress within an alliance before level 50, to encourage cooperation and teamwork.
And why are ship xp cubes so ridiculously rare whereas ship levelling events are occuring everyday ? (Where, ironically, natural ship xp gain through hostile farming or pvp fights doesn't count)
Mine is broke there are only 10 bases with more then 400k in any rcc as soon as they get more they are stripped in a single hit.

With base defense of 200k and ship strength of 300k so when you get something you get attacked and stripped so shields are useless 90% of the time. The only way to counter is ships docked meaning you can have 1 ship mining or questing but not both at the same time
Bases need to be harder to crack. And the first attack should always fail. Maybe survive but recieve 0 rcc and activate the shield and inform you. Even when on line the notice comes 20 minutes later and by that time you are stripped.
Rcc gathering from bases is to fast.
Idea: add a crew optimization button.
Or at least a way to better filter on synergie . Cause searching though the crew looking for synergie in this game is annoying.

Include a mission completed log.
How about an alliance truce system that will keep alliance member of each alliance from being able to atack one another for x amount of hours.

this simple change would retain high level players and allow low mid level player progress without needing to spend thousands
for packs add refined material packs for those that dont want to grind

3 sizes small medium large g4 (available to ops level 22 or higher players)
add 3 new refinery research skills

it seems silly that you need ops 50 to use a vital aspect of the game to help with player retention
it would add so much more dynamic to the game. many alliance leaders would love to help weaker members grow stronger by helping them progress via trade
if you look at any other game out there market is available early in the game. at the end of the day STFC is not much different to most other mobile games.
There should be some sort of penalty for leaving an alliance. Have everyone just leaving and joining the top alliance whenever there's a power shift doesn't foster any sort of loyalty.

How high do you need your vaults to be for lvl 24 Ops? They're useless buildings that I've left at 10 for a while but now I gotta go to 18 with them for lvl 22

I did 2 batches of 2*uncommon Crystal this morning, first batch Said I had got a 5 and a 10 uncommon and then the second batch Said I had got 5 and 20 uncommon and some common Crystal as well. I started this morning with 0 as I have upgraded a ship. When I went to check a building I need it for it is only showing the 25 from the second batch. Its hard enough to get uncommon and res in this game without the game cheating you as well
@civic comet @ornate nymph @nocturne lantern This is one of the questions that an alliance member wanted me to pass on and he is level 30 (soon 31) . The refine rates for g3 is 12k for 2 batches and 75k g3 for 3 batches. Shouldn't refine 3 batches be more along the lines of 24k instead of 75k. Also, the Lower end refining nets more uncommon's for him at 12k batches instead of doing the larger 75k g3 3 batch. The rates of uncommon and rare materials should be higher with higher g3 material use.
Hey @waxen thorn . Yep. Refining rates is the biggest problem in the game for pay2win right now. Scopely is aware, have made minor adjustments, but we are still waiting for something a lot better.

A Day of Refinement... where everyone gets to experience refining resources as if they had a level 50 refinery. Announce the load options in advance so players can stock up on the appropriate amount of ore,gas, or crystal.
I'd just preffer it if they added a research that boosts odds tbh.... it's simple and easier to implement.^_^

I have sugestion for game how make ppl spend more time online. Here always see alliance member ask for help request so why dont add small gift for each support send to alliance member? (reward can be any of your choice) It make ppl spend more time in game and ofcourse spend more € 😁

I think the biggest hurdle for players to remain playing is fixing the balance of PvP battling which is way to broad

Most alliances have agreed that miners can be hit if Over Protected Limit (OPL). How about a Captain Manuever/Ability that when mining, he/she will decide to warp away if targeted and OPL? It would be the captain's job on a ship to know when to safely mine or leave if in danger. The Fleet Commander wouldn't be responsible. This would allow people to mine safely if they equip this captain.
And since it is not a global ability gained by research, it wouldn't be on 100% of all ships out there which allows players to still hit and farm from miners.

@cold kite Not bad either. I think in the spirit of the game's universe, the ship crew should be able to make some intelligent decisions like this. In a "real" fleet, the captain would be making this call - to nudge off or warp home.
It would still allow for people to farm/hit miners, but also let people get some mining done and not always lose the OPL resources.
I mean, I send out Fortunates to mine and if I get them back before getting hit, yay for me. If I don't, that's on me for a cheap repair.

If you do it as research, then everyone and every survey ship gets the ability which would tick off the PvP side. As a captain, only some ships will have that ability.

Still, anyone who spends whatever to get it, gets it on everything. I think as a captain maneuver, it allows for a better mix of who gets it, not necessarily tied to spending. The hitters can still hit but miners have a chance to haul in more.
Whatever is [or is not] done would give players a shot at bringing home resources. I have guys camping next to me right now just waiting for me to be +1 rss over so they can get the kill. They don't want the rss.

I think they used that event just to get a list of non operating nodes

Do know what they should do? These fed patrol ships really do nothing. They shoild make it so that if youre on a zero node for more than 30 min, the patrol ships will force you off
What WOULD be interesting is that if you have high faction standings and are in the same faction space, and another player wit low faction standings for that space attacks you- the faction ships in the system aggress him
so you send a low repair cost ship against it, have the patrol diminish him, and suck him dry with your miner

@ornate nymph Admirals need more management tools. We need activity trackers (to see who is inactive or not), we need diplomacy options (where we can assign Allies different colors on the map). Also I would like to see some historical data on Alliances on monthly/weekly Alliance events won. Maybe even monthly trophies to Alliances’ profile for Alliance Events won. We also need In game mail for Alliances.

The new resource token is a great addition and a step in the right direction, but is it possible to have most (if not all) the tritanium, parsteel, and dilithium as tokens, to be used as and when we require them? Essentially protecting our purchase from raiders until we deem it necessary and required? This is how I have seen other games do it, and if I cash in the token, and it is raided, then I am the one to blame.
Or @ornate nymph giving the ability for people who don't pay to also be able to protect stuff more than vaults. Vaults are weaksauce

One simple way to help protect resources is to give players the ability to convert existing resources into tokens, perhaps at a small cost.
I would also very much like to see shields stack... for example, please consider allowing players to use three 8 hour shields to secure 24 hours of protection.
My final thought regarding shields is that there should be a delay on shielding a player base after that player initiates PVP. Example: Player A jumps his/her shielded base into System X to initiate a base raid. As soon as they strike, their shield drops... as soon as they are done with their opening volley they can simply re-shield, preventing a counter assault. Implementing a 5 minute no shield rule following player initiates PVP would make things more interesting. Likewise with base relocation. If after initiating PVP you cannot shield or jump your base for 5 minutes, you better be thinking ahead.
I agree with the first two things but not the pvp and bases stuff. High level dudes could drain me in 5min or less. Especially because raid his usually have an alliance in tow sooo yeah no thanks.
I mean it's kind of moot because the notification for base attack is super delayed so you'd have to be online at the same time
I’m saying if they attack you, they cannot shield. My thoughts are along the lines of your friends and allies being able to hit the attacking base in retaliation. Or forcing the attacker to strike from out of system, buying more time for a defensive rally. I see your concern though.

Yup... happens all the time. And allies try attacking the assaulting player ships. Instead this would allow allies to attack the assaulting players base

Another game I play has subscription for gold, so the 7 day pack gets you 3,800, 2000 when purchased and then 200 every day after that for 6 days ($5.99 Australian). They also have a 30 days one for 11,200 gold that gives you 2,500 the first day and then 300 for the following 29 days ($14.99 Australian). This could be done with latinum or other resources?
Finer control in ship to ship combat. The ability for the attacker to decide how many rounds they want to be involved in combat. For example, 3 rounds-10 rounds-All rounds. Undestroyed ships get "knocked back" so it's possible to bump someone off a mine without destroying them...maybe even drop some cargo so it can be picked up. Since it's Star Trek, a "stun setting" for combat can give more options to players without being destroy or not.

Need to be able to park or talk off line your base when you are going away and can’t connect to put up shields. I drove across the country and couldn’t connect . Was on holiday camping.. so would like to come back and not have been raided and cleaned out.
Suggestion to reduce bullying. Make higher level raiders steal only a % of lower level player's loot. A lot of games use this to strike a balance between PvP and blatant bullying. Eg. 100% non vaulted loot for same level players, 80% for 1 level down, 60% for 2 levels down and so on
Ship Size Scaling could do some fixing. Mining ships should not be as big as a battleship. Interceptors are also smaller than a battleship but larger than a miner. Explorers should be only slightly smaller than battleships. Now all ships are almost similar in size at the drydocks. Miners are unrealistically enormous when parked next to their battleship counterparts. The Klingon D4 interceptor should be bus sized, not 2/3rds the size of the Enterprise. Small ships can still be zoomed in to see the detail ingame.
For game mechanic:
I suggest some changes to the Interceptor < Explorer < Battleship without changing the current profile.
Power of all ships remain the same as current. But to justify the damage, use Accuracy figures instead. The Interceptors should fire more times when fighting battleships or have higher accuracy. This reflects how easy it is for a small ship to shoot at a bigger target. 🎯
Battleships have lower accuracy when fighting Interceptors thus deal slightly lower damage. 🔫 They hit explorers as per normal since both ships are almost similar in size, also do more damage as Plasma Cannons > Explorer shields.
Explorers have higher power over Interceptors because of their higher shield figures and higher accuracy from Phaser Cannons. 🎯
Mining Ships should not be more powerful though, I suggest that more powerful miners like envoy to North Star will never outdamage warships in their range. They should have high shields and armor but be hard to hit because of their smaller size. Overall, all warships should win miners but not totally destroy them in 1 engagement. Higher level miners can wear down a warship but requires the player to attack the warship multiple times (~3 times? ). It's not realistic for an overpowered miner to hit a base and take it down better than a warship.
The home base and game looks beautiful overall and could use some better sizing of the ships and mechanic changes. Thanks for reading, Devs!

I also wish, whereas in tooltip or scan, ressources in the ship's cargo are displayed with stars to indicate their grade. Currently you can see a ship carries gas but you have no way to know if it is g2 or g3 gas.

If the mining node is at 0 drop the level requirements so anyone can be pushed off an empty node. Especially the level 9 player camped on a 3* node when he has no business being there yet

Suggestion: Miners left on a depleted mine node can only be removed by destroying the miner. Would like to see a tractor beam feature added to the game. Purpose would be to remove a miner from a depleted mine without destroying them. Could be a simple function that forces a miner to return to base.

MICRO transactions. $1-$5 amounts. Just because someone purchases something for $20 or $50 once doesn't mean they want that to be the only way to advance! Refining drops are horrible, and here you have a "race to 20" event that so far I can't participate in because literally the only way for me to go ops 18 is spend $50 to get the last 12 ore I need. Just give me $1 -5 uc G2 packs I would be on that like white on rice.

Can we please see allied resources when viewing their station as we need to know whether to defend an unshielded ally or not. Many players don't bother to shield unless they have resources which is great but no point us wasting ships defending them when the raiding starts... IMHO
make where we can make factions chat and add our allies to it so that we wont attack them on accident and what not
Prevent mining collisions when 2 players are warping to same mine, unless you selected to attack player already there. Recall/stop warping ships, even if they have to get off at the next stop before returning.
Suggestion: 1 mining node can support 3 ships without conflict. 4th ship on node = raid on 1 vessel.
Idea: when Allies occupy 1 mining node, reduces chance of protection from being raided.
Give a push notification when maintenance finishes, as it'll never be exactly the time estimated. Right now whoever logs on first will be committing miner genocide while everyone eek's thinks server is down!

Please introduce npc trading stations where ppl can trade materials. This would solve the problem with low materials and lack of specific nodes.
Please think about it to improve the pve content to equalize value to raiding other players who quit: random spawn rare npc with better loot , instanced areas for special missions with adjusted rewards, etc. Ppl should be able to decide to do pve or pvp for the same rewards

The fifth time you are garanteed one of the drops to be uncommon /rare etc.... (ajust the pity timer per rarity and etc.)

Just the last two days, had my ships not engage in station defense for no reason, lost 18 reward crates to communication error, lost my PM’s three times, and got booted off the server half a dozen. Why should I spend money for that?

I think it would be a great Idea if there was more PVE content.. why not introduce random spawning NPC stations for folks to raid. It would cut down on those complaining about never having the ability to build or get resources. The higher level the station the more resources. Would become a great way for alliances to help their smaller members too.

When a mission has a pre-requisite mission that you haven't completed, clicking it should take you to a planet which would let you start the prerequisite mission - or at least put some icons on the galaxy map when there are available missions you haven't started yet.

The attack algorithms need to be changed. It makes no sense that lower level ships do barely any damage to bigger ships..... obviously, an adult can beat up a child, but what happens when there are 20 kids against an adult?

I get that the big guys pay big bucks to be the all-powerful predators in this game, but we should at least have a chance against them if we rally with a full team to fight back. Literally everyone in our system was fighting off top alliances, and it does almost nothing.

Your best bet is to find out what the average whale level is and stay just below the bracket. I did that with one of our server trolls

Add NPC Bases that non PvP players can raid
The simple fix is to add a PVP flag system. I flagged players can PVE without fear of interference from the PVP aggressors. But it’s built from the ground up to make you want to spend to its gate the threat and keep up. I am level 27 and would need to spend $400 to advance to level 28. That’s both vulgar and insane. Instead I’ll grind and with the refinery rates the way they are (miserable) I’ll hit 28 next year.

The proposal, for countries of the 3 world, to make prices several times lower, salaries are not the same as in the west.
It would really be useful to have a sector indicator to indicate you have available missions. Like the indicator for outstanding mission objectives. It's a huge hassle to find missions once you've explored everything already.
Exchange of resources (parsteel, tritanium, dilithium) would be nice.... so maybe you have more than enough parsteel, but you need some tritanium to fulfill a build or research. why not change them with an exchange course, e.g. 100000 parsteel for 75000 tritanium?

how about making things spicy with Drones patrolling mining veins? perhaps of the 3 star range of minerals, ore and gases. If you exceed a certain amount permitted like you get quotas of 500 at a time...if you go over that quota, the Drones pursue you. you won't be allowed in that particular rock of minerals or gas for another 4 hours. try exceeding the limit in gas deposits and the same thing happens. you are reminded that the quota is on the brink of being reached and you should start making your way out of the vein, before Drones disable your Shields or propulsion systems. they won't destroy your ship...but will render you a little bit sluggish getting back to your home station.

your challenge is to mine as many veins as possible without overstepping the quota in order to prevent being disabled by the patrolling Drones. stay in the quota and stay in one piece.
the ship should give the captain a warning siren so that they know shenanigans to make haste towards another empty rock of gas or other minerals. repeat this with other veins. you can be rewarded by double the value of the minerals of gas if you keep within the quotas in succession. overstep the quota and you risk losing the entire cargo.
you'd end up going home with empty containers.
let me know if that is a feasible idea.
you also have the added challenge of hostiles trying to attack you if your ship is in their territory for prolonged period of time. when you see hostiles heading for your rock, better press the home Recall button. they wing be so kind...they will destroy your ship.

When your science ship explores them, your AI explains what happened to your ship and Crew and there is a range of bonuses that your ship can earn by exploring

This race to lvl 20 event is meaningless to me. I’ve been stuck trying to mine crystal to upgrade my shipyard for like a week now. Sometimes I get 10, sometimes zero. I get that u folks need to earn money but why put up an unachievable event. I can’t even make ops 20 b4 shipyard and that ain’t happening anytime soon. Just my two cents and I’m sure I’m not the only lvl 19 in this situation. @ornate nymph

how about being able to target multiple hostiles at once as far as your torpedoes can get you before you run out. say a maximum amount of 5 hostiles surrounding you at one time. You'd have to be smack in the middle of a bunch and then select the ones you want to torpedo in a sweep mode.

I have a suggestion. Balance out the game so the super powerful and P2P players cannot attack weaker and F2P players. Anyone who pays money on the game should get a VIP status and can then only attack other VIP players. That way F2P players are not getting rolled over by people they cannot even attempt to attack back.

I suggested a minimum target power of perhaps 80% of the attackers power and no upper limits
bare power, without taking skills/buffs into account, to make those still a factor whether someone is able to win or not against a lower player

I understand the need for it to be compact and unobtrusive, but ships are built in spans of days/weeks for each. No real need for a quick link that shows you can build 50 fortunates and 20 phindras

I would like to see a warp speed token that is obtained from chest drops, dailies, etc. These can be in two flavors, reduce travel time by 10% and the other 20%. Multiple can be applied to reduce the travel time when warping, a limit would he required to prevent an overload.

Three top gripes that could be fixed to help with play balance. 1) Fix the exploit where people hide in resource nodes or behind other players where they're not selectable. 2) Set the game so people can only receive base hits for a limited amount of time, so people don't have the ability to completely clean out a target base while someone is afk for a few hours. 3) Help people manage their missions better by clearly noting which mission chains lead to faction rep, and give clearer descriptions of what the rewards will be.
Please add a notification for when you're shield is about to drop... like 5 or 10 minutes ahead of time.
you guys just wanna make the game too easy to play sheesh the 12 hour shields was a great addition, but maybe making them stackable is a reasonable request. shields about to run out? put an alarm clock. i want the glitches fixed more than anything and maybe a better cooldown time for the refinery, maybe make it accessible 3 times a day instead of 2. either that or allow us a price range for guaranteeing uncommon and rares. i'll pay the 12k batch for 5-10 uncommon G3 ore 😉

@ornate nymph A really simple, really helpful idea. On the Galaxy Map, make the text color yellow, instead of white, on any planets that have quests you could pick up if you had a ship in system.
So you don’t need to constantly look at the system view and scroll around trying to find any missed quests.

It would be really nice to be able to view the stats, abilities and what ships need to be upgraded from the hanger. It would help in deciding what missions to pursue or what to mine without recalling each ship to look at it, or having to recall a ship so you can examine another ship in the hanger.
Either the Tiers like @austere sable said, or Simply reduce the points gained by a given player per award entry by a percentage equal to their level.
So, if a Level 30 hits a Federation command ship for 2,000,000 points toward this event, that amount gets reduced by 19%. The floor would be best at level 10, with level 11 getting no reduction.
May need to decrease the reduction amounts, but that's a blanket code exercise.
Maybe 1.5% reduction per level above 20?
A combination of Tiers and percentage reduction would be the ultimate "equalizer", without completely hammering the higher levels for being higher level. They'd still have an advantage, but not so egregious.
This is not, and has never been a skill based shooter. Its an rpg, based on stats. The only thing that should be considered is the attack levels, everything else fucks the entire point of the game in terms of cost, power, research etc. 5 levels max either way (which i believe it used to be) is probably about right imo. Maybe 4 to account for 20vs 15. I.e take 3* out of the equation.

In adition to my earlier proposal you could add 2 other leagues for low level e.g
league (7) lvl 1 - lvl 9 league (6) lvl 10 - lvl 14.
also players in different leagues can only attack players in the same league or something along that scale
The power league , power destroyed and rss raided leagues can be tiered to reflect each league level with a champions league bonus given to winners of each league at the end of each week.
As a footnote the leagues could have a power cap which would stop players from sitting at the top of their respective leagues and just sit collecting power to win the league each week this would force them to move on to the next league and progress through the game.
I believe a structure along these guidelines would make for a fairer and more enjoyable experience to players. This system is intended as a guide to structuring and is open to discussion for further improvements.
On a different matter concerning Alliances and Non Aggression Pacts (Naps), there should be a confirmation button on each alliance board which will alert the system to treat all alliances in that pact agreement to treat each alliance in the pact agreement as one alliance with regard to PvP, and the system could then stop any member of different alliances from attacking a member of another alliance which has agreed to the pact. Any alliance which opts out of the agreement should have a cooldown period of 24hrs before being allowed to attack again after all other Alliances in the agreement have been automatically notified of their intentions.

It's necessary to provide a peaceful solution instead of Alliance Admirals having to warn members who step out of line and threaten members with expulsion on repeat offences. The cooldown is to negate a suprise attack by so called friends which would devastate and cause mass quitting from lower level alliances who would pressume the alliance agreement would afford them some safety and support from other more experienced or larger aliances
Yeah. Just systems you have visited. Ones you could view and scan around to see the yellow quest available icons on already. It would just save a lot of look up time. Especially as sometimes you can’t get quests until you compete other quests, but you may forget to check later after completing it.
@ornate nymph Can you allow us to transfer servers. I would even pay for this. The one I am on is a bore as all the top fleets have aligned themselves and spend their time trying to keep people in check who want to fight. It’s a bloody war game! Got screen shots to show the German fuhrpark outside one of our bases. We gave a good fight at least. But they just park ships and won’t even fight each other. I have never played a war game where the top fleets didn’t compete for top spot, but all come to each other’s rescue. Let us move servers as people are getting bored. And for those who want peace and a UN experience can join ours.

Level 25's shouldn't be able to raid level 18 stations
The range should be maybe one or two levels
So 18's can be hit by maybe up to 20
So on and so forth for each level
I'm in the Missions regarding the Klingon onslaught but none of my ships has the sufficient power level you handle the ruffled foreheads.

@ornate nymph have you guys looked at dropping prices on the packs? Sure, you'll get a "handful" to pay $100 for a pack, but you'd get a lot more that would pay $20 for the same thing. I just find it somewhat frustrating that a $100 pack can't even give me 1 upgrade on a T3 Vaklas, and I'd have to spend hundreds to even get 1 tier out of the packs. I, and I'm sure many others, would be more willing to drop say $20 or $40 for a pack or two here and there, more often than spending $100...
Or have you looked at increasing the resources in the high-priced packs so that you actually can progress without having to spend literal hundreds if not thousands of dollars? With the refinery working as is, that's literally the only "reliable" way to upgrade ships and/or bases, and seems excessively prohibitive to the player base and potentially your earnings...
and by looked at I mean of course have you done any market research or anything like that

I think what blows me away is how much money people spend on this game. Like, if they lowered the cost the economy would explode/crash. As much as I would love the packs to be cheaper, i don't see it happening based on the fact that people are currently willing to dish out $1000/month on this game or more. So lowering costs would just further inflate the super whales, and wouldn't really help/change the current state in comparison
right, just trying to play to the money that the game brings in, and the progression through the levels. you'll always have people on varying levels of "disposable income" playing a game -- lowering the pack prices won't change that. but it would give the "lower income" players at least a little bit more of a chance to fight back -- and if the higher-income aren't smart, they'll just upgrade right past the attack range of a lot of people and lower-income would still be safe 😂
take the new faction ships... $200 to unlock and build it, because they don't give you the whole thing in 1 pack... that's absurd to me, even if I had the option to buy them (not high enough faction rep). Just seems silly to me that they're "gated" so heavily towards those that spend big, instead of priced so that everyone "has a chance"

just tossing out a "low spender mindset" to them a bit -- I'd be much more willing to drop $20 once or twice a month vs. $100 every other month. I can absorb $20 or $40 much more easily than $100 or multiple hudreds in the same amount of time. And I'm sure that's probably a vast majority of their playerbase
or hell, don't make the $20 packs a 1-time only thing, keep them in the store after you've purchased them, so that we have the option to buy one to "top off" an upgrade or something like that

yeah. I know what you mean. something along the lines of a favourite locations or a saved list of previous systems. so you can just tap on a button on the list table, that says "Go Here", alongside the corresponding system name.
and the selected ship goes there rapidly. you could send as many active shops there you want to.

How about let ftp players get everything by earning it it game that a bayes player gets you know ship bp rcc and speedup you got 1 out of three. Rcc above lvl20 is pretty much at cost no profit unless taking it from another player. And bp for the new ships need to be in faction store...

@ornate nymph here's an idea. The game is obviously F2P but that's a joke, the only way to progress past maybe level 20 is buying packs. It's ridiculous and people are quitting in droves at higher levels.
Instead of the only way to progress being P2W, have an option for one-time purchasing the game or a monthly VIP type of thing (that most other mobile games have).
One big thing to add would be to boost all harvest rates/gather rates from NPC ships, refine rates. A monthly VIP or subscription could boost those by a certain percentage, for that month.
That could bring players back, or at least slow down the rate that players are quitting.
@ornate nymph Admirals need more management tools. We need activity trackers (to see who is inactive or not), we need diplomacy options (where we can assign Allies different colors on the map). Also I would like to see some historical data on Alliances on monthly/weekly Alliance events won. Maybe even monthly trophies to Alliances’ profile for Alliance Events won. We also need In game mail for Alliances.
Please add a Global Top 10 Alliance power rankings. That would be awesome.

Addon to a VIP status / resource rate: instead of increasing the rate that you gather (gas/ore/crystal) it could be a bonus added after you get back to your station. Won't interfere with your ships capacity or protected cargo. Example:
Ship goes out that has 20k capacity and 5k protected limit. VIP gives a 100% bonus when returning to station. If the ship gets all the way to 20k then returns, the total amount gained would be 40k. If they get knocked off before then, they only get 5k protected but would still get 10k total with the bonus.
This would also apply to stealing/looting from over capacity miners.
This shouldn't really apply to parst/trit/dil from NPCs or people's stations because that could be abused easily. Or it could. But hard to differentiate between farming resources from NPC versus raiding a base.
@ornate nymph Each station should have three refinerys, 1 for 2* 1 for 3* and one for 4* refining the refining process should take 1hr for 2*, 2hrs for 3* and 3hrs for 4* with the option of refining common and uncommon

Suggestion: Make the 7 day peace shield cheaper. If 1 day is 200 alliance points, why is 7 days 2500? I"m going on a cruise in may and would like to pop a 7 lol

Reduce the cost of repairing a damaged ship compared to a destroyed one. The most efficient way for me to do this event at 22 is to kill faction normal mobs till my ship is nearly destroyed, then suicide it against a boss - feels wrong that this bears no real repair cost penalty!

i prefer to repair rather than lose ship as the dilithium looted helps offest repair costs
@nocturne lantern Don't care much about 10k parsteel (killing klingons) - or maybe the silly thing is at my level i can scoreboard for the leaderboard event , but it makes no difference whether i go at full health or nearly dead, the boss ships will still oneshot me as soon as their big attacks are ready..
the par does help with station upgrades once you get to 23 or higher
ive burned through 20mil par so far this week alone
the science lab, foundry, and engine tech lap does greatly help improve your ships

@green sail I like your idea about sending a ship to garrison at an alliance mate's station. There may need to be mechanics worked out so that won't interfere with repair/tier-up/etc. Perhaps simply have it as a +1 garrison-only dock, enabled by some PRIME research feature leveraging rare 4* mats reasonably priced "on sale" at the same price of an ULTRA pack.
I love having the "sale" icon onscreen with nothing actually on sale. Would be nice to actually see sale or reasonably priced packs rather than £46 and up. 👍
Also, if a player leaves the game their base becomes completely dead, no rss slowly regenerating up to storage levels. Those bases are a waste of space, lol. Pun intended. Also why the hell are building costs massively higher than warehouse storage capacity? It's not like your basic (sub £50) packs have any usable primary resources. We have all levels of player leaving our server as this game is more expensive than Game of War. You can barely upgrade 1 weapon on 1 ship with a single expensive pack. Bonkers.
I hate hitting recall when I'm over 14 minutes away from home when I meant to hit locate.
So a curious idea came out from another chat but fitting the a player need.
What if a PRIME ENGINEERING research pack could do this? Fitting in with Scopely's other objectives, it could become "on sale" to feature warp-core emergency shut down -- it'll burn some dilithium, maybe add a cool down but the ship would come out of warp at the next system stop. You might be stuck on impulse for a 4 minute cool down (gotta buy PRIME ENGINEERING lvl 2) to get the 1 minute cool down.... but i'd really force people to consider what they want to do.
That or simply move the recall button, but I can't imagine that could possible be easier to code than the above option involving new packs for players to purchase. Either option would improve the "player experience" as a net effect. 😛 /s

another thing: Prizes (daily, etc) should evolve alongside with the increase of gamer's level....it is ludricous to keep receiving like 1000 partsteel, 2000 tritanium same levels as when I was a level 10 to 14...I am level 19 and getting the same! it is not kind of fair to get the same

Here's an idea, what if when a station is attacked that the user is presented with an optional convenient button to "shield now".... the catch is that while it saves you from going through all the steps to find your shields, it will default to your biggest and longest shield in inventory.
Player gets raid protection immediately but for Scopely, it creates more demand for (but doesn't require) Shield pack purchases. Win-win?

@modest goblet You have to consider their motivations, if it drives engagement, gameplay.... it drives sales. If it drive sales, they'll be more likely to do it. Bugs are inconvenient but hardly a lost sales opportunity. Many keep buying packs which signals that bugs are not important.
That may be but look at how many more people would be still playing and potentially buying a pack here and there if the glitches/bugs were fixed

Another major suggestion that would help is mining rates for Dilithium need increasing... below are screenshots of my mining rates for my Maxed Envoy, everything is in the thousands/ hour, yet dilithium is still only 500/hour, such a slow rate of mining considering the amount we need for upgrades, yes they’ve lowered the dilithium cost needed but it’s still a long time to mine it, and generate it.
Even if it was at double the mining rate it is now would help immensely,

@ornate nymph Resources from hostiles shouldn't be faction specific. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think anyone prefers the mountains of parsteel they get from Klingons to the Tritanium and dilithium Romulans drop. But because building one faction up often entails targeting a single other faction as the best method the player doesn't have much choice.
On our server one alliance uses a player that willingly stays at lvl 14 and occupies a strategic base slot for his comrades (freed up on demand for them of course). There is pretty much nothing we can do against that except find a lvl17 player to destroy his miners occasionally, which doesn't help. I wish something could be done about this obvious abuse.
@ornate nymph as someone who tracks the power rankings for the group of alliances I’m wishing there were a way to properly track/export player data (lvl, power, maybe even contributions per alliance lvl)

Please make factions affect pvp play. There should be consequences for players hitting other players- in particular the same faction. It should be more significant than hostile faction hits. @ornate nymph
So, probably been mentioned, Alliances have no log of players leaving or joining. There is no daily attendance, which is a standard alliance feature in any game like this. I have no way to really know who is active and its a major oversight imo.

Scenario: player a scans a system for free mines, finds one and sets a route to it with a ship from a distant system. Player a gets distracted by his/her other ship's actions, missions,... and so doesn't notice the mine was occupied by Player b from within the system in the mean time. Player A's ship automatically attacks player B's.
My suggestion: in such a case let the ship not attack but wait for another command of player A.
Add repair ships, at least for the miners...
Add a function to bookmark a couple of locations

@obtuse adder we call that warp to mine. Simple fix is warping next to mine so you don’t attack either way, then hop on when you get there.
@dusky rock yes, that's what I do, but many players, especially newbies, run into a revenge war that way. I'd rather opt-in a battle than opt-out.

I think them not listing the resources was more for a way to get people out exploring. Just my opinion though.
Exploring is one thing. But there are LOTS of systems. Once they are explored it would be nice if i didn’t have to view the system to remember what’s in it. Or consult a list in another app.
And just because the system has mines doesn’t mean there are any available.

When your ship is mining, there is no way of knowing if it has reached its protected maximum. There is a blue line around the ship showing progress. There is also a gray line at the left showing progress if the ship is selected. Can you change the color of the lines once the protected cargo has been exceeded?

maybe the recall should be held down since it takes 5 seconds to charge. hold it down for 5 seconds to activate

the line would start in a different color until safe cargo values exceed and continue normally from there

Ability to hit other ships and bases should be restricted based on power rather than operations level. This is creating a major imbalances with 300k ships hitting 19k ships etc.

Since I'm new here maybe this has been discussed before, but how about implementing in-game mechanics to support the allied alliances concept?
Last idea: ability to select allies in game and mark them as different colour than blue. ( even option to prevent hittting them like alliance members)

Maybe this should be more than just color tagging allies; it should be an option for alliance admirals to sign "an alliance" and after that the color tagging and still if one player tries to do friendly fire to have a dialog like "are you sure? That will cancel the alliance"
Yes I think if commodore or admiral tags an alliance it should highlight all allied ships in a alternative colour and prevent people from accidentally doing friendly fire.
Right now people are only maintinaing in announcements
And admirals are managing a lot of accidental friendly fire arguments.

This must be specific to release servers...not seen any latinum spammers on our pre-release server. A lvl limit for posting is a quick fix agreed however lvl8 may be a bit too restrictive 3-5 would be m9re accessible (new players have a lot of questions)
Servers where pvp is an opt-in arrangement or with specific systems designated as pvp zones would be a good way to encourage different playstyles whilst retaining a loyal playerbase
Make it allowed to trade alliance credits romulan for federation. Turn in useless stuff for resources or such. Be able to buy tokens for resources.
Change the refine icon in the base during the cool down phase, so one sees when next batches can be processed.
... Or better: make it green, when at least one is available

Please enable in game Trade. The Trade should enable Trading G2,G3 resources , BluePrints , Officer Shards , ,Peace Shield between players in the same Galaxy.
A good idea like other games exchange materials between alliance members
There needs to be a way to look at your ships while they are in the hangar, even when all your ships are deployed. If I've got my ships out mining or doing whatever, I want to be able to look at my stored ships to see what upgrades they need and what rss I need for them so I can plan my next moves.

For the Devs: when we purchase a pack for resources, ship XP, officer XP, etc. we are given the option to choose when we want to use them then just dump all of them at once. Say we’re out of tritanium...the game will say you have the following resources available for this item which one would you like to use? (2.5 million or 1 million token) with the opportunity to scroll the amount for the 2.5 million or get the instant 1 million tritanium token. Same with the rest of the items...OR have a heads up display of all items available and we can scroll how much of what we want to use each time we log on. Plan for the day.

I think you all should lower the prices and also put out a rss pack for each rss you need and a speed up pack. Not all these multi packs that don't do much.
Add larger nebulas to sectors where ships are invisible until close range sensors can detect them. This could allow for ambushes adding a little bit more depth to tactics.
would it be possible to suggest that attack reports have a time in UTC on them? that way when people post them as proof of attacks its possible to see in which order they came in?
- We need the daily hostile hunt back
- We need events for the alliance that’s not server wide similar to hostile hunt. Like mine resources , power destroyed , resources raided
- We need more, dynamic server events that aren’t just crammed into a weekend
- We also need “quick” , small server wide events that are DAILY like rss raided, number of histiles killed, etc.
- a battle arena to battle other player ships for prizes. You’d be paired with someone with the same class ship and your same level (maybe +-1) - so no combat triangle advantage etc. You’d need skill to select the proper officers etc
- Some race events would be cool. They could have obstacle courses in certain systems. You must warp system to system and go through obstacles and kill the npcs in the way. 1st-3rd prizes and top 10 etc. (like they did on voyager)
- We need armadas and big fleet battles and battle over territory.

“Gm events” this harkens back to the old Everquest 1 days where the staff would interact with players. It’d be cool to have staff login to do fun events. Hide and seek for prizes. Find and kill. Or other role playing events. Even if some didn’t have prizes, just doing it for fun would entertain players, but even small prizes would be nice.

Raid Big boss events. Spawn like 10M... 100M power bosses where the server must kill them for server wide prizes. This would not be a PVP competition leaderboard. There would be set goals, That when achieved, would generate prizes for the entire server. The rewards could even be a sever wide buffs like double mining speed for a week, or 1/2 repair costs/times for a week, double damage to hostiles etc. 50% faction rep income (or tokens)
I’d make these bosses spawn in most systems and make them hostile (seeking and attacking players)
