Impress Me - 1000 rare armada directives for 30 shards of officer, nobody has still properly tested? NO. Even if I wanted, HOW? Rare arma take eternity to respawn since I'm 34 so not seeing additions to this arc anyway and depend on regular ones.
Swarm War - I can't wait this is done. Each night event starts, "whole" server goes in two 32 systems and tries to complete it to get ticket. 3-5 people on spawn point, waiting turn to kill 50 swarms needed to complete. This is lasting forever.
Ticket Event - Separatists Attack is the only one which makes sense from points perspective. Luckily I'm at the place where I need Crystal...
I already complained about 2nd researcher and general concept of how we are (NOT) acquiring additions to the game for several arcs. I already decided no to spend further on STFC. This event just made me feel I made a good decision.

I recently moved to level 35 and my shipyard and scrapyard are still 34. Consequently, I can’t get a Franklin A, can’t get to the lvl 37 swarm armadas, and can’t score in the Impress Me event without using up a lot of mats and speed ups in a short time.

@tribal kindle , heroic TFB has been 2 points for 32, 10 points for 35 for months. It's not hard if you've invested in Tiering your Franklin and done the appropriate research. I completed TFB and Anomalous Phenomena in under an hour today and that got me started on Separatist Attack.

@tribal kindle , I had Alliance members complain because they now had to kill 188 level 32 swarms. Consider this. You're killing 50 level 32 swarms just for your daily. If you're crewed properly, you'll finish Heroic TFB in 3-4 runs. It's not hard at all to do.

I have to say it is really disgusting. Not been able to even try the impress me event because Scopely didn’t even though about the 35+ who don’t have the scrapyard to scrap a franklin t9 that some of us we don’t have. So no way to do the event and have a chance to get 60 jaylah in two days. And yesterday à sorry gift with 5 jaylah. Rare armada directives are precious to players... Rare armadas hardly appear (yes, they're rare) but with thousands of players trying to do the same event, the fact that they take 4 hours to respawn means that players are wasting these hard earned directives. I had to hit small targets with poor rewards and spent hours looking for any targets. Bad event, completely unimpressed... What a complete waste of the hard work I did to get the rare armada directives in the first place. Very badly planned event

As an alliance leader, this weekend's events were very hard to keep the morale up. My alliance is consistently 3rd/4th in power on my server and still we had a very hard time getting it done. Many just weren't able to complete the milestones and the requirements are just insane.
1a) Impress Me: (≥ 35 ops +) Players needed a Franklin-A for this event. If they didn't have it, and they didn't have: a T3 ISS Jelly with T4 warp drive or higher, or a T8 Epic with a T9 warp drive, they couldn't complete it at all.
1b) Impress Me: (≤ 34 ops -) Players needed to score 100k points which they could have earned by calling 5 rare armadas or winning 100 rare armadas, etc. This was also a ridiculous event asking players to spend directives on rare and epic calls, especially when there are a finite number of rare and epic armadas. The respawn rates just are not fast enough and for a server that is a little over one year old and has a very active player base where the meat of the population of players are from ops 28 to 34, it becomes hit or miss. A player who is ops 32/33 and has a maxed Sally/Cent/Bortas is going to want to maximized their rewards and use their directives for 35 rares and 30 epics. Using them for bigger armadas without the help of a few whales is pointless and small ones just don't give out enough rewards to make it worthwhile.
2) Swarm War AMS: In order for an alliance to complete the AMS, 60 players must not only finish the Solo MS, but both ticket events otherwise completing the AMS is impossible. The AMS's during the last arc had a ridiculous threshold in order to complete it as well. They're not being realistic about goals neither are they making them reasonably achievable.

3) Ticket events: In order to earn the tickets for this event arc you have to kill 50 swarms the same level in your swarms guard dailies so if you're level 32/33 you need to kill 50 x 32 swarms. After this you then get a choice of 3 events, and only the "Separatist Attack" event is worth the rewards. The "Complete Research" & "Combat Prep" have ridiculous goals and the rewards are comparable to rewards you receive from "Daily Events". In essence there really isn't any choice at all. You're going to have to kill hostiles to get decent rewards. It would have been nice to have also had refined gas and dilithium rewards in an event like in February's arc. P.S. Scopely has really been stingy with dilithium rewards overall and as you go up in ops the dependency on dilithium increases just as much as it does for tritanium. I went through over 200M in dilithium doing researches this past month.

4) Scopely promised to scale down the grind several months ago and it literally lasted maybe a couple of months. The amount of grind currently isn't sustainable for players and it will drive them away.

The swarm event has always been that way since you pushed to 35, but imo it's not hard grinded it quickly but I also have a t6 ent at 35 😅

The swarm impress me event is not counting off the cost of armada in the exchange. It will deduct win or loose amount.

Also to note the anomalies event counting was off too. We were doing rares in exchange.

I would have mined less if new franklins blue print to 34’s and build at 35.

regarding the tickets events, I suspect they didn't even implement the two other options because they knew noone would choose them. It's just a cheap way of pretending there's choice when there is none.
The Impress Me event was annoying and badly planned.
The rest is just bland, repetitive grind.
I went f2p until the game becomes interesting again and I know several people who already stopped playing altogether.

Is there anything positiv about "Impress me"? Yes, Jaylah Shards. But to get them is veeeeery difficult. The New Tickets Event consumes double much time. First, I have to hunt hostiles or something like that to get the Ticket, afterwards I have to hunt hostiles again. I Don't enough speedups to complete Research or gain Power a whole week... My iPad notified me that my Display time increased 17% last week. Maybe this is something scopley intented to, but it doesn't make fun in the long run.

I would More say, something about How difficult most of these Ticket Events are... They are out of control with how Difficult they are.. the Research or Building part of the ticket events are crazy. The Worm events are a pain, takes some time to grind but oh well.. but come on.... 660k research points to win the ticket event, i did that took 15 high level research and 100 euros out of my pocket.. that's crazy, Scopley needs to lower the events a bit... even by 20% would be better, then what it is now. Or... Just Lower the Ticket events all together.. Is $$ more important to Scopley then their players satisfaction in the events... Last Arc there was the same exact issue with how difficult the Ticket Events were, so they lowered the standards to a reasonable and reachable goal. Now it is absurd and crazy.... Come one Scopley... Fix your Events so we can do them everyday, and not have to skip around because you made things to difficult for most middle to high players to achieve.

@hallow sky You guys realize that the "Impress Me" event is nearly impossible for OP35 players right? The level of swarm armadas required should be doable by a group of 5 OP35 players if you are going to have that as the only way to score in the event.

Please either change the requirements (an allow "regular" rare/epic armadas to score) or reduce the power of the swarm armadas to a range that can be completed by OP35 players.

crap for both ends of the bracket unfortunately - 35+ with a F-A was doable, but expensive in directives (1k, over 2 days...) for dry armadas.
34 and under were stuck with lack of armadas as everyone and their dog went hunting for them, and the 35's without the F-A were just completely FUBAR

Dear Scopely, I have been an active player for 6 months, playing 12 hours a day. I pay only for the Battle Pass to be honest. The most respectful thing I can say is you guys are really out of touch. I am not even going to bore you with all the details but our server had RoE not to hit in lucrative space. Fine, you create an event the destroys that. However, its for a lvl32+ event. So I get smoked in an event that I cannot compete in, are unaware of cause it's buried in some readme. Common sense would say you would create an event that encouraged lvl32+ to compete against their bracket and punish them otherwise. Another great event design.

750k pts for a 24hr mining event that can only be completed if you have a D'Vor... that's pretty stupid you can't mine 150k Dili, 250K Trit or 750K parsteel in a 24hour period... so to get the 10 tickets unlocked you have to have a D'Vor and if you can't get tickets (without buying them) then you can't do any of the Klingon, ROmulan or Federation Miner events. There is no way to do all the events unless you buy tickets, have a D'Vor and have Faction miners (which I'm to low to have) that are upgradeable.

I think their goal is to give folks who didn't have one yet the chance to earn one for free that they can max and scrap for franklin-a blueprints. Likewise, for those of us with a franklin that we scrapped for the a, now we will still be able to keep the franklin. Thats only a small part of the rewards during this battlepass, and definitely not a focus of it.

That said, I want my sarcophagus... let's make that happen, eh?

Absolution missions 6-10 gave quite decent rewards wise at ops 35. was lovely not to have to warp to distant systems or have to keep returning to home station. IMHO i feel that the mission chain flowed so much more better because of this. Thanks 🍻

I just got to level 25 so haven't unlocked the faster lat mining yet as you can only start to research that chain at level 25 and so my mining speed is about 5k per hour latinum but it wants me to mine 140k for the Rules of Acquisition event which is 28 hours and longer than the event 🤣

This mining event sux, I have had 2 miners running almost since event start. If they don't get hit so someone else can have the node then I'm still not bringing in enough. If I'm lucky I will get it about 11:45... so there will be no doing the ticketed event. So a bad event all around... unless that is your only goal is to push people to buy your $100 ticket pack. Make the ticket event almost impossible to complete then people will buy the pack yeah that's the ticket !

Look Scopely, we appreciate that you’re trying to be creative with the Arc Events, but as has increasingly been the case, you’ve been ignoring feedback from your players when designing them. First, as much as it might seem like fun to have a mining focused event, it’s become obvious that the Devs do not play this game on an everyday basis. If they did, they would know that NOBODY MINES CUZ THEY WANT TO. We only mine cuz WE HAVE TO. And we’ve been telling you for a long time now that the mining grind is getting way too much. Yet all you do is to keep piling it on. And we’ve also been telling you for a while now that the first version of the Ticketed Events was the best, yet you stubbornly keep trying to tinker with them and only make them increasingly worse. Difficulty going up, payouts going down. And lastly, not only do you need to a better job of listening, you need to do better at keeping us informed. The whole fiasco with Swarmadas costing rare then unc then rare Directives is a perfect case in point. And waiting till after the Mining Mayhem Events started to give us descriptions in our Newsfeed was also aggravating. You shouldn’t wait till after they’ve already started to give us details about any Arc Event. We should get the option to prepare ahead of time if we want to. Communication or lack thereof by Scopely has increasingly become a major issue, both listening and talking. Improve on that, and your players will be happier and your bottom line will be healthier as well. Thx 🖖

Meta problem here: the Scopely pipeline delivers and locks down content far ahead on when it goes live, so feedback in the 90 days from lockdown to go-live is not taken into account. Players give feedback, it will be 3-4 arcs before substantial design changes can be made, excepting relatively lightweight changes like scoring (which has been a real pain point in this arc).

Elsewhere in the software industry, this delivery model is considered a setup to underperform. A fundamental premise of agile is that you don't develop drastically ahead of your ability to make continuous improvements that are fairly immediately responsive to your business and customer needs. This really looks like a crux in player satisfaction.

I'd also set aside the player feedback aspect and say that there's a real failure to run numbers and create some quantitative basis for quality of life. Events are indeed exhausting and frustrating, and one of the conspicuous problems is scoring objectives that aren't checked against player resources and capability by level.

It's just nuts that "Impress Me" looks to have flat scoring when players 35-39 have extremely long odds on one-hit Swarmada victories, and everyone has obnoxiously long travel times (seriously, why are the level 37 swarm systems minutes more travel time from Origin Sector than the level 37s?). It should be pretty clear what tier of ships players are likely to have two weeks into an arc and what percentage of them are likely to complete the SMS. My alliance is fortunate enough to have a pair of level 50 players and a number of 46s, who were collectively willing to help out teammates on these events. It should go without saying that this does not generalise at all. The results aren't particularly fun, they are instead very time consuming and stressful.

If testing isn't something you can do much, you can at least quantify, analyze, predict, collect, and confirm.

I don't have the Franklin A yet, but I honestly think that the placement of the level 37 and 39 swarm systems should have been flipped. Having the level 37 systems be North of Siloux (even needing range 75 to reach them) would have made overall travel time manageable for most players. As it stands, the level 37 systems are on the Eastern side of Romulan Space and many players have a 15 minute trip if the don't want to burn the midnight shroom oil.

I am the only Frank A in my alliance (or was at the time of the first run of that event) so had to dry run them all to get the shards. I am not sure it was worth it, but I hate missing the opportunity to get shards. It would be great to tweak the mechanics some so that those with limited opportunity have a better chance. All it would take is to allow some scoring from the original rare armada like <ops35. Some would still be running swarmada to engage with the content and for the shard drop chance.

I'm just going to note that bracket parameters appear to be something Scopely can change on the fly. Having these refits that run once, only one player gets a full set, no re-runs, this is way too close to the long-standing failure pattern of introducing new officers in an arc, then providing no way to get additional shards for months, where 40+ and even 35+ players may not be able to use the officer for their design purpose because they can't get them ranked up to adequacy for play at their level.

If you're introducing new content like this, don't start with auctions where only one player per bracket per arc actually gets a working set. If you aren't going to run the refit auctions multiple times in that arc, give full sets to something like 3-5 players. And if you haven't figured out how players who get partial sets on first run can get full sets by the end of the next arc, you clearly don't understand that events end in long-standing frustration for the vast majority of your player base.

Do your players a solid, fix more of this on the current run.

This game has pros and cons, but even if you ain't spending you can play honestly this game.
It is a question of how you do it. Content creators give you good hints on stuff you can use, focus on or avoid.
So even if there are sometimes, I acknowledge sometimes more, failures, at least when they repair their mistakes or make it easier as asked to, as players we could at least acknowledge that too.

For skins and projectiles. There should just be (3) buckets of points "Epic, Rare and Uncommon" used to obtain any item. That way points don't go unused from events for certain items. But are all pooled and allow the user go choose what they want.

2 tricks that I've found helpful.

1. Use an interceptor or explorer. Battleships are too slow at impulse and unless you have a good intercept angle, you'll never run one down.

2. Hunt in a system without other explorer class vessels (other than chasers). Easier to pick out the Scouts when they spawn.

Tiered up and properly crewed even a Kehra or Vahklas can kill a level 32 scout.

3. killing the explorers isn't the problem, waiting for them to spawn and then beating 22 other players to kill them IS. Even if by some miracle the scout spawns close to you instead of on the other side of the system and you DO manage to be the first one there and kill it, you have to pray to Scopely's broken RNG that it actually drops a message for you, which more often than not it doesn't.

It's a terrible thing to have an event for. Just one more thing Scopely drops on us to try to get us to kill each other. So far TC was the only thing that worked in that respect but even that ended quickly as it just turned into a whale playground with everyone else flying g1 ships.

I am L33, have a Tier 5 (almost 6) vidar and I cannot finish the event because I only had 2 warp tokens. I used several this morning collecting probes and nailing ferengi traders. This is just ridiculous.

Sorry, but the response from Scopely is pathetic. The intention ASSUMES that players have spent time Tiering their Vidar. I just went to T7 and got a couple T8 upgrades (I was trying to save Uncommon 3* crystal to tier my K'vort). By Scopely logic I'm supposed to be killing level 33 Borg. That's UNREALISTIC. Even killing level 31 Borg it's going to be 4 trips. It's like the developers are in some weird alternative timeline where EVERYONE has optimized ships and crews.

Putting the borg war effort points in the ticket events was yet another failure of planning. It makes the ticket event a MUST DO event to complete the Prepare for war event, but there is only a single ticket event today, so we have no choice in how to get those points for the borg war event.
The whole point of ticket events was to give choice. There is no choice being given though

What is the point of the vidar blueprints in the event store? A player without a Vidar is virtually locked out of warning enough war find to buy a Vidar through the store.

I had 90 bps going into this, literally one cosmic cleanup away. I did both of the arrival events I could do before the store opened. I could afford 1 pack of 5 bp

The next opportunity i have to get war funds without a Vidar appears to be the end of the recruitment leaderboard in 3 days

What Scopely doesn't seem to realize is that unlike the Franklin or Stella, the Vidar requires significant amounts of 3* materials to build. Yes, it's more than a 1 trick pony, but the more you dump into the Vidar, the less you have for other far more useful ships overall. That crystal I'm dumping into the Vidar is also needed for my Gladius and K'vort. You expect me to hamper my overall progress just to meet YOUR expectations for the event. Why won't Old Man comment here? Is he afraid of being roasted over the coals by ACTUAL players?

If you have Doomsday Armada Directives, we encourage you to spend those on the rares or higher to get the salvage, and redeem your chests. We will be sourcing refit tokens in the future in different ways.

And most of my alliance has between 40-49 doomsday directives so we can’t even run 1 rare to “clean” out our doomsday directives (cost 50)...

Maybe would be helpful if we can buy up to 20 doomsday directives with Borg War Effort so we can “clean” out something at least? Getting bit tired of unused currency

As for the other conversation, going on if you tier your vidar 1 per ops level you'd be like me, and have a 900k vidar and can finish both events on 40 - lv 33 kills for approx 180k inert

You can also run your faction up past your ship level if you chose too, you just need to evenly balance your upgrades

This is why the franklin is gated per ops level, so you see what the cadence should be for that ship

swarm dailies are their own problem, but its achievable, you just can't be given every ship when you start the game when the server has been grinding for them for months; I didnt use the franklin until 32s because it needed to be more cost effective, my other ships worked fine for events for swarms

Ok, here's my problem. The Vidar is crew intensive. Right now, the way I have my hostile killing crew set up, I have TOS Scotty, Chekhov and Cadet Scotty below deck so I can easily swap out for my Discovery Summoning Crew. I do this because my other 3 docks get miners at night for dailies. I can improve the Vidar a bit by switching my lower deck, but that means more time swapping crew every evening.

He repairs your hull and keeps you alive for longer. Basically lets you run 1 armada level above what you could without him and do and receive a lot more damage

He starts activating like round 25 or so. If you can go a long time and still die he makes you win

He does not work on the swarm armadas for me though. They’re too strong

In German it literally says: as long as hull health is below 35% at the beginning of a fight, Leslie restores 5% health at the end of the round.

I genuinely would like to know, and I will probably be banned for asking this, but what is the exact amount, in oz, of cocaine that was consumed when somebody thought that this event progression point system was a great choice? I'm a level 29 and it would take me over an hour to reach this last milestone and I don't even really benefit from it.

I’m level 29. If I kill 50ish level 29 Borg I can complete the event “live target practice“. That’s with a tier 5 Vidar with only the shields upgraded.

But what if I want to take advantage of this event to grind the levels of my second Vidar which is tier 3 but not yet at max level for that tier? The way the scoring for this event was done there’s no way for me to complete it with my lower tier Vidar even if I am able to kill 4 to 5 times more Borg.

Heck I can’t even use my higher tier Vidar to kill level 25 to 28 Borg to complete the event even if it means killing many more Borg to do so.

Why bother giving us a scale of different level hostiles to kill with X points per kill when clearly you want us to kill hostels that are (at least) the same level as us? Why not just put it in the event “kill 50 Borg that are the same level you are“?

If you’re going to give us the option to kill lower level hostiles for credit towards the event then make it mathematically possible to complete the event that way. Let the player choose how much or how little work they wish to put in to complete the objective, or just make it simple and say “you have to kill Borg which are at least X level or higher” The way you do with one of the two Swarm Sunday events.

That's a good point. It seems there is misguidance in events now... possibly intentionally. First it was the ??? in the borg events, now it is giving us mathematically impossible targets. I'm going to say that there will be more misdirection to come in the Borg events.

Like many of you I'm unable to complete the live target practice SMS and obtain tickets, it's going to run again in few hours, I won't be able to complete it again. I have taken my thoughts to in game chat with Scopleys cs and in return I've received a message that they know about lag in server 34 and are working on it...... I'm on server 167. I swear they provide unrelated answers just to close the ticket

I don’t know why the Live Target Practice milestones are tied to ops level instead of Vi’Dar tier. And why such a ridiculous jump in the last milestone? At L31, I had little trouble completing 4450 pts with my T6 Vi’Dar, but my teammates at L32 ran out of warp tokens because they had to score over twice what I had to score, over 11k points, with their T5 Vi’Dars. More than doubling the challenge from one level to the next is bad math!
And tying the specialized event difficulty to ops level instead of ship tier spoils the game. Instead, tie difficulty to Vi’Dar tier but for lower rewards, and let the carrot drive players to progress upward.

Same goes for swarms btw. They’re already the most tedious part of the game. But I’ve reached the point where I don’t bother doing swarm dailies anymore because aside from the 50-swarms task, I can’t even use my Franklin. Instead, give me swarm dailies and events based on my low Franklin tier for low rewards so I can grind up to where I “should” be. It really is a hoot that this Battle Pass is rewarding me bp for another Franklin. If only I could use them up upgrade the one I have! Or let me build it and scrap it!

I first want to say thank you for hearing the community that we need more active nanoprobes; it's awesome that they were included in the event store!
However... The cost: benefit ratio is really off for people who have a high tier Vidar and the Borg Refinery prime research.

12.5k Active Nanoprobes is 1.3 days of t9 Borg Refinery (9600 per day with max refine) for 75k event credits. So for a max purchase of 750k event credits (6.25 $100 packs worth of event credits), we get to upgrade a borg officer 13 days sooner...

I really feel that this purchase from the event store either needs to be in scaled by Vidar tier/ops level or if it is scaled, the scaling needs to be revisited by the Scopely team

So many event lines with math errors rendering the events impossible for certain players. Separatists, Borg, Swarms… Does anybody ever actually check the math? Does Scopely do any alpha testing of these events prior to launch? Shouldn’t even have to, because you have all our player data. Please put more care into your big data analysis so everyone always has a way to at least grind forward on these!

And we need more uncommons! Drop more in more things. Or fix the crap drop rates on the refinery! The few BP milestones with materials help, but with everything requiring hundreds of uncommons, everything gets stalled, and we don’t even have a way to grind our way forward. (Imagine if hostiles occasionally dropped refined materials!) The game was exciting up through L28. Since then it’s like everything has dried up and the game is about waiting for it to rain.

From what I read here and there it seems that the error was in the first three milestones... They apparently did not put a zero too many at the last milestone, but one too little at the first three.

No idea what kind of impact that'll have for today's events though. It looks like there are a lot of people that are struggling to complete the (last milestone of the) event. With Scopely you'll never know how they'll correct it, if at all.
They'll probably end up screwing everyone over even more, by "correcting" the first three milestones 🤣 🙈

Lovely. A FORCED mining event as the ONLY option for tickets. Last week we had 4 straight days of mining. Today it's mining for resources that will take multiple runs on multiple ships to do. Apparently Scopely thinks that players who complain about the incessant mining events want MORE of them.

Feedback from a lvl28 player:
Since I don't yet have the Vidar ship (i only managed to get 70 blueprints from past events), I feel left out, and very disappointed.
What is worse that I can see that with enough Borg War Funds I could get the remaining 30 blueprints, but i cannot get War Funds without the Vidar... What is this? A modern interpretation of Catch 22?!?
Thus is very frustrating.
Please give us non-Vidar-owners a chance to participate, and finally get that ship!
