Scopely the main challenge in this game is TIME you've given us so much miniscule things to collect daily and Heroic events that give out worthless rewards towards more worthless rewards so how about giving us back our choice rewards to be honest that was the only reason I bought the Battle Pass each arc so I'm guessing there's quite a few others in the same position which means you've lost that revenue. And also give us back Leslie I mean seriously what have you gained from this? Nothing! You've upset the player base yet again and probably broke the camels back on many a player looking for a reason to leave! Giving us the ability to beat the Orions isn't exactly game breaking or giving unfair God Mode advantage. It's just plain spite and greed which will never bare any fruit.

This is the worst arc since a very long time, not the arc per se, but you try all this time to ... the player base. No choice reward token, deleting the officer depot token, the daily mat chest (i only take for speed ups and lat), Leslie, in the free pass are less broken roods then before in the overflow.... its the first arc since long time i lost all interest about, i will not buy the bp i think and i beat you also destroy the alliance tournament. and for what? you did not get enough money? then thisa is the wrong way to solve it....

While I'm personally not directly affected by the introduction of the Orion hostiles as I can handle the 71s with my ships, it was a sneak attack on players having made an informed purchase in the previous month.

Players purchased - as in paid real world currency - for the excelsior so they can get the two epic nodes of the challenge track. They were able to test the challenge track and state, that they are able to complete all challanges each week.

Then a month later you decide to swap out one hostile. If said players are unable to kill this hostile they miss out on one reward on challenge track, invalidating part of their purchase. I personally would have quit the game at this point if would have affected me.

This month's highly unpopular and nerfing changes to several core game mechanics reduced my spend to USD 0. I didn't even buy the BP. While there is still "value" in the normal BP I won't purchase it until things return to a pre-May compareable state in regards to:

• AT
• BP
• Leslie
• Recruit
• Difficulty (the new content is just a joke by basically adding nothing, only invoking a grind to kill hostiles which provide barely any rewards)

Funny thing is, if the 3rd BP track would have included rewards scaled to the 30 USD they actually charge (as in 50% more over the paid track, including more choice tokens) I probably would have gone along and bought the 99 USD pack for the BP for the benefit that this pack adds.

I have no issues with a pay2win aspect let whale players grow to "insane" power levels. I also have no issue in financially supporting games that are under constant development. I personally feel that a 99 USD spend each month should

• fully unlock all BP tracks
• also unlock the month's feature (building/ship/FC/...)
  Add additional monetization for faster progression of these features. This is where you just don't hit your mark.

Why do we take damage for literately everything now in the battle log? You take HHP damage when officers proc, weapons recharge, and even repairing your ship. EVERYTHING now causes you to damage ur ship. Why? Who thought this was a good change?

honestly, we will never be able to 100% stop spending altogether, what we can do is try to talk to people spending and try to get them to reduce it if they still wish to spend. for example the huge whales pushing in g7 currently, all we need is for them to slow down and scopely will still see the numbers tank. the good thing is that a lot of people are becoming more 'conscious' about what the devs think and the current state of the game so there are many whales that stop spending or just spend maybe 1 pack instead of 10 a month. same with low spenders, many have decided to not give scopely BP money this month as it just doesnt give them the same value as before. the money 'tanking' will become our 'feedback' and eventually they'll 'listen', just hopefully for the better

The daily login claim appears to have a timer of exactly 24 hours. Can this get adjusted to 22 or even 23? He problem with 24 is if a user doesn't claim this immediately for 27 days straight there's not much wiggle room to get all the claims done before it resets

I feel similar, this arc has utterly ruined my affection for stfc and I now resent its parasitic role in my life. Plan to archive at theend of month unless scopes decides to do something miraculous. Sweet relief.

Am I dreaming or did scopley decide to lower the amount of points were getting in bp events. So far we've had a few days of 3x bp events getting 30k each which means 10k days and no domination event which always gave 20k is no 10k. So were getting no choice rewards anymore less rewards in the battle pass a longer battlepass with 2 3 types of reward track all of which has very little rewards. Oh and less points in every bp event which really boils down to you're stretching the points you used to give in the 20day arc to a 27 day arc so you can justify charging for the mythic pass and getting rid of interim events and extra flash pass broken rods and all that stuff.

Also for the ‘Grindy arcs’ comment I would add that a year or more ago they went from 3 month arcs to 2 month arcs. That means 6 new loops a year versus 4.

On top of that, the new schedule is 4 week releases instead of monthly releases. That means 13 per year instead of 12.

So, a couple years ago we would get four new loops a year. Now we get about 6.5 loops a year. That pace has to slow… too much crap for players to keep up with. And clearly not enough time for their coders to build good code or fix problems.

The problem isn’t the pay to win approach to the game. Scopely needs to be profitable or they wouldn’t make the games we play.

The problems for me are the reduced value, rapid pace of new content and poor overall quality. They’ve blatantly cut the value of the 20 BP. That needs to be restored. They cut the ‘choice’ rewards from the BP as well which takes away flexibility for the player… this also should be restored. Then, they’ve accelerated their pace of delivery which means more loops than we can keep up with at a clearly reduced quality. Somewhere a bean counter is saying ‘ships and buildings sell’, so every two-part loop gives a ship in one release and a building in the other.

I don’t mind paying for a game. But the game needs to work. It needs to be fun. Otherwise there is ZERO value worth spending for.

the trick i used was this. (yes i know how bad this sounds). i bought a few parts so i could upgrade at least shields and armor. then, NEVER tier up after the last part. always get yourself a buffer of parts so on tier up you can upgrade hull and shields right away. that should help not get stuck. but if you’re g5, do not go too high or you hit the “bug” that you need sigma to repair and can’t get it / use it.

Here after I won my SLB all could only get 104 for the Academy Doctor. Which only reinforces everyone's concerns when these changes were announced. This is beyond the worst change possible. Many of us use this event to make our big jumps in game and when you take these types of rewards away from us like then there is no longer any incentive actually push forward in this game. I am ops 56, and have been playing since close to the launch of server 35, so I suppose I am not in the same boat as some others in g5, but since g5 got put in the remedial battlepass, I am suddenly bored, and I am actually legitimately thinking about how much I want to keep playing.

I have been engaging in new content every month... Until last week.

The lower level battlepasses, for new players, they are great, but for those of us still in g5 who have been playing forever, it is terrible. Like last week, do I need more dauntless parts? Sure, but I sending it to the level 60 mirror space to do a couple 2B+ rep per faction a day? Also yes.

The battle pass events are boring... Do your daily stuff. Alright... What about the other events? Last week... "Do these missions from the holodeck." I suppose I should thank you for this, honestly... I got laid off, and you made it so I don't want to spend money on the game anyway! I understand you want to force people into opsing up, but you are driving at least some of us who have been playing (and spending) for years away from the game.

Well well, the newest and latest let's screw the players idea from scopely has begun. Under the recruit tab when you go into claim your free chests there is an officer Depot recruit spot, when you click on that, there is an absolute mod podge of a ton of officers (and I'm sure they'll be adding more), but there's a 117 in there right now. And guess what? Not a one of them is a guarantee. Yep you read that right, they're all chance. I wonder how many you're going to get in one chest? Probably not many. And who out of that 117 will you get? Who knows. But it sucks. I want to be able to choose which group of officers I want to get recruits out of thank you very much, I don't want to be using up my tokens and getting officers that I don't want or that are useless. But Scopely doesn't care, that just means you'll be wanting to buy more packs that have the officers you do want in them. Wrong!!!! Nice try, but it ain't going to work. Quick note: Code doesn’t randomly or sporadically “spit out” errors on its own — software is deterministic. Errors only appear after a human touches/modifies the code (or something in the env/deps changes).
The bug you’re seeing (error thrown but still granting in-game rewards without pop-up) is almost certainly because the code wasn’t written to work cohesively with the rest of the system. Error-handling path and reward path got out of sync.
Check recent changes to the redeem handler!

The increase in chest cost for ops 70 is ridiculous especially since it's all about the building.... I recently moved up to ops 70 and I only get around 3K loot per hull with T9 Krencha against lvl 64-65 Academy Drone... Since I wasted a few tokens for testing purpose I have only 30k out of the 95k for 1 chest since day 1 of the ARC... Is this the end of the game, with one large money grab before it is over? After the 3 day suspension I had on this site for voicing my opinion I see more and more clarity to the end of STFC. Scopley has proven that they are the Ferengi. Ways of moving forward in the game have been made more expensive, events that allowed you to grow are non-existent. The costs have increased for paid item not by a direct cost increase but by the rewards for packs decreasing. We have been asking for 5* recycling, and they have given it to us with one 7 day exo, not knowing how to get more and with a 35/ 61/ 96 day scrap time again proving my point that scopely is the Ferengi. The nerfing of officers who many people paid to get those officers, to get replace (maybe) with other pay for officers? Have I mentioned the bugs, the lagging issues that have been enduring month over month. When a new ARC launches, all the players do not get excited about the new ARC it is more about what new bugs have been introduced into the game. I remember months ago Scopely tried to tell us they were going to make changes in the game to help players balance life, how has that been going with the introduction of more content that we the players do not care for. I think I speak for the majority of players when I say that I personally would prefer improvements on the existing content and fixing of the bugs, than the continued unsustainable content. Back to the question does Scopely want this game to continue or is it a final Ferengi grab before it goes away?

"We need more player feedback!". Why? Why should any of us bother to waste any more time giving feedback that no one listens to? In fact, most of the time it feels like they deliberately do the opposite of what the majority of feedback asks for. People don't like lag, lag is the worst it's ever been and still getting worse. People don't like events that are impossible without spending hundreds on the flavor of the month, that has been the standard format for a year now. People want more ways to grow, you take away many of the ways that currently exist and add nothing to replace them. People want more accessable events and more ways to contribute to alliances without spending, you rework existing events to make that even harder and outright remove the few existing ways to do so. People want to be able to search officers by name, you add it to research which serves nearly no purpose. People find crews that work on your current content, you nerf the officers and replace them with new $ only ones. All feedback seems to accomplish is giving Scope more ideas of how to make the game worse. We have gone from 1 maintenance a month to 2-4 a month and not only does nothing still ever get fixed, each one breaks more stuff and makes server response time even slower. The service is in the worst state it's ever been in and the only thing that's happened since is scopes has made playing even more monetized than it has ever been.

Any time normally reserved for feedback is being spent watching loading screens, waiting for ships to repair, nodes to reset, and taking an hour opening daily boxes. Not gonna find many that suffer through the slog of the current state of the game willing to come here and say anything, much less anything positive. ☹️

Ops 52 here. The WDBP free track has been gutted completely, and you used to get 100 solo WD ciphers about every 4 milestones or so. These are gone and locked behind the "elite" paywall now. I've been doing the WDBP for a few months now but not bothering this time- without paying, the cooldown on the faction store SWD ciphers is too long and it's likely not possible to complete without buying ciphers or buying elite (which I imagine is by design).

In the end of the day, Scopely is a business and not a charity. That they want players to spend is completely reasonable.

What isn't reasonable is the lack of value. For example: €100 for a ship (say the Reliant, Vidar, Mantis etc) who's arcs are long since past and their grinding is at best an extra bump in your gameplay is absolutely mental. A lot more people would buy special ships if they were, say, €10 as opposed to €100. Even now, this current battlepass is insanely overpriced for what you get.

As a G3 player, I do have to say that it's a nice change that they're speeding up G3 building an research. That said, I'm not hanging in G3 because building or research times are holding me back; I'm hanging in G3 because the ships that I need and the grinds that I need to complete to be competitive in G4/5 take forever to grind out and they're insultingly expensive to buy. I've got plenty of speedups to get to G4 in a few days, but I won't.

If you want more G3's to speed up their progression, then make the grinds that are a must easier to obtain

When killing hostiles with a large range, the system will be populated with hostiles that cannot be killed, it has been a bone of contention with loops for a long time, them adjusting that this quickly is good.

In order to fix this issue for me and several guys I spoke to on my server and my alliance I highly suggest deleting the BP again (you already did this twice during this arc). Then replace the BP with an improved version which is more aligned to previous BPs and includes Choice Tokens. Up the value of the Mythic track to represent the 30 USD value in comparison to the 20 USD value of the Elite track. Start the „fixed“ BP at MS 0, gift every player points required to unlock all MS up to „today“. I‘ll take the rewards you provided in the current version of the BP as compensation for slapping a loyal customers so hard in the face it makes them ask themselves why they are even considering spending any more money on this insult of a product.

This only fixes 33%. Next steps should include:

• Fix the Officer choice tokens to the state they were before and add more officers to the roster. It is a catch up mechanic. Stick to it for once.
• Fix the current loop or scrap it like you did with Alliance Starbases and „dynamic space patch“ which name I already had forgotten because it was so bad. Provide meaningful rewards. Provide a day 1 grind for f2p. Provide p2p options for players who want an accelerated experience.

oh and we talk about AT later today when I see how bad it ACTUALLY is

The last several updates have caused me to seriously reconsider this game as an entertainment source. Today's is another example of a cash grab. I could be very competitive, with a single pack. Now? It's like before, everyone knew that refreshes and task distribution wasn't weighted properly to be truly random, but with the new AT tasks, the devs are straight up putting their thumb on the scale and staring us in the eyes while doing it being like "What?"

Of all the bs with the changes what makes it even worse is the one thing I would of bought ,premium Mirror dust, it is a 20k task but you are limited to one and I used all my refreshes and could not get the multi phasic so the 99 dollar you would of got is now 0. The only 2 good things left in the game was alliance tournaments and incursions since arena is unplayable so now everything good is gone so why play?

This new Alliance Tournament is just beyond unpalatable!!! Scopely has removed any last scraps of fun from the game. It’s obvious to even Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles that this AT is purely about money! “Please compete as an Alliance by spending all the money most people do NOT have especially in this current economic crisis!” READ THE ROOM SCOPELY!!! @bronze siren but what they fail to understand is that its the F2P folks who the whales feed on (base raids etc) and without the F2P folks then the whales will have to start attacking each other so instead of slapping around someone who cant even damage them now it will be more of a fair fight I wonder how many of them will be happy to pay to win on a level playing field?? Soooo very short sighted of Scopley I would not be surprised if over 10% of the player base quit in the next 7 days

It's getting closer to the game closing down along with your jobs. That karma will be bittersweet. Bittersweet for the loss of a game that could have been so much better. And sweet because you will be shooting yourselves in the foot and that won't be good for your personal income stream.

So, not only did we change rerolls to a new (unnecessary) kind, but the conversion rate is awful, we're limited on how many we can earn/bank, and a pile of awful acquire tasks was added to the pool to water down the rerolls even further. Way to kill one of the few worthwhile events this game had left. Looks like quitting time is upon us for a lot of players.

@tidal notch clearly the sheer outrage on the discord and online socials alone from the community must be enough to make you stop trolling in the channels and actually let scopely know that the playerbase arent happy and that scopely need to do something to change. Atm moral is low players are angry and asking for their accounts to be deleted en mass and some who are remaining are barely doing their dailies what will it take for you to pass onto scopely that they have failed a passionate fanbase who are sick and tired of being abused like this and even Gene Roddenberry himself would be turning in his grave over what scopely have done to something he helped create. at this point i wouldnt even recommend my worse enemy pick this dumpster fire of a game up
