Is it too much to ask for you to test the release before hand.
You should have shut down the game at the first sign of an issue after the Emergency Maintenance rather than let things go as far as they have.

This is first time I've seriously contemplated quitting the game. From the impossibility of the augment rep grind (which we still haven't received a compensation chest for) and the absolute convoluted BS that is the new augment currency loop, to the instability and brokenness of one of the fundamental parts of the game, i.e. claiming chests, to the continued lag and instability in general. This is really fundamentally broken, and I'm so tired of trying to justify sticking with the game. I love my alliance, but that's not enough anymore.

Ya I know it was in there and disagreed on it then before the actual update. I like the conversion to remnants when you get excess shards of an artifact. Usually when you are ops locked or building lvl locked on upgrading and collect 2k+ only to get it open and then have to convert 50k at a time.
As one above stated it was the removal of access to a 10k task from the F2P community. So in turn it is getting some F2P to hold off on the refinery to avoid that but hurting there growth a little at the same time.

My guess would be high turnover with their developers. The fact that basic functions are unstable and unreliable tells me that they have people mucking around with core code who don't really know what dependencies exist. Wow Scopely about 30% of the time you are not crediting chest redemption. The one week chest just up and vanished no credit toward the monthly chest and no items from the weekly chest. Maybe just take the game offline for an entire day. Take the income loss and take your time in fixing some bugs. Afterwards activate a 3 day shield and make sure to give a large compensation and autocomplete for the missed events that day.

Hey @tidal notch I have a few notes and a couple questions for you or any of the CMs that are willing to actually respond to questions that aren't softballs.

Notes

• Scopely lied that the DTI Cooldowns were about 'balancing' for the game, days before F2P players would get access to be able to reasonably make use of the DTI store to catch up to the whales and spenders that bought the ship and would have balanced their progression with that of the whales.
• Scopely then spoke clearly that the change was not about any type of actual balancing but removing an ability for players to get access to Temporal Disruptors in which removing non-G6 players ability to complete 10k tasks with ease. Which furthers the divide between G6 whales and non-whales.
  • Which is wild. Giving non-whales more access to the credits in the Alliance Tournament HELPS BALANCE the game! Whales don't need the primes that are there. They also have TONS of options for FREE 10k tasks... but Scopely instead takes away ONE option for non-whales and non-spenders to be able to complete 10k tasks and give them the smallest of legs up.
• Scopely then releases this absolute trainwreck of an arc that does a couple things...
• States that our 'excess artifact shards' would be converted to Artifact Remnants.
• Automatically Stole all of our Surplus Temporal Artifacts and converted them to Temporal Disruptors. Now, you may note... Nowhere in the game does it state the 'Temporal Disruptors' are 'Artifact Remnants'.

1. Are you able to give us a clear answer on whether or not Scopely is even considering reversing course on the whole DTI Store screw up that they put in place?

• To be quite frank, I would say myself and many others are waiting to see if we should just call it quits on this whole game following the absolutely deceitful, disgusting, anti-player tactics that we have seen this past couple weeks.

It’s hard to express this morning the depth of negative feeling in alliance chat..
We have had two 4x and 5x members cold quit overnight, one before and one after the failed 90 mins emergency maintenance.
I say failed, because this morning half of all refinery store etc pulls are still taking up to 10s, maybe more, to complete. Many of them simple ones with guaranteed payouts, so hard to understand why this is happening.
My morning collection has taken well over an hour, a big chunk of actual “play” time gone.
And I use “” because the play in question is a brutal grind that anyone less than a strong ops50 is doing with little hope of actually completing the arc-long task of reaching Superior rep and getting to the Champion chest.
So. A combination of reduced play time due to the issues, and unappealing play, has lost us two otherwise active members so far.
This one-two punch has been the straw that broke the camel’s back, our most enthusiastic players are now talking of quitting. This.. is .. bad.

I think we need to hear from Scopely/Digit at this point as to what the problem is, why this is happening, what is being done about it and some realistic expectation of a timeline to fix it - With some technical expertise and explanation of the issue, for the many players who do have technical backgrounds and are at a loss to understand how we have gotten here, and why it could still be a problem after two failed emergency interventions.

In this context I also think you’d be unwise to hold a QnA with preselected questions designed to give yourselves a collective pat on the back and promote your “exciting content” when the loop is being roundly criticised for being so poorly tuned for the majority of players, and your house is on fire.
I suggest you use the timeslot to get someone with direct information, at least some responsibility, and the ability to honestly answer the questions the player base actually want and deserve real answers to.

Claim system needs to be completely redesigned. It shouldn't take 10 to 15 minutes of constant clicking and scrolling through menus, daily, within a 2hr window of your previous claim session, to progress.

Claiming needs to take no more than 1 minute. Ideally hitting 1 button and everything gets claimed.

Redesign should look like this: every single claim should have a button next to it. When this button is selected, it will be attempted to be pulled when you click the mega claim all button.

System will claim all. When it completes, a summary screen will pop up.

In the summary screen you will see a list of claims that could not be completed due to insufficient widgets. Possibly along with a summary of how many claims are left of things that were successfully claimed

There is so much dead content in the game that if removed would likely have a positive impact on the game, but will scopely do that? Nope.

There is more than enough content and monthly repeated events to keep us entertained for a couple of months. <@&509690795536941056>, get the devs to take time out from churning out new content. Spend a couple of months fixing bugs, you can still run battlepasses etc, you will still make money in the meantime. Let people catch up a bit, unlock the missing ships before you release another one. I guarantee if you take time to fix the endemic issues with the game rather than churn out more content, you will see a much happier playerbase that are more willing to part with their money. Instead of banning people for suggesting boycotts, you should be asking "why are people wanting to boycott spending". Fix the core issues, rather than constantly slapping plasters (band-aids) on them. Once the game is fixed, you can go back to churning out new content and ships... Although, I would advise you calm down with the number of ships you're releasing, one every 2 months is a bit crazy, maybe give f2p players time to catch up before you release the next one. Just my two cents.

Wrath of khan was asked for, for years, everyone’s expectations was high, hoping it would be something to enjoy. Instead we get this bug riddled abomination. Should have not have released it, that way at least in our minds it was good.

I think they need to take the game down for an extended period (a day if required) sort it out, and have a major clean out and a rebuild of the most critical server side issues.

I would then RESTART this arc for everyone… start it again with tweaks made and give us the experience that we all should have had in the first place. And outside of the sheer damage and neglect the Redstone family has done to the Star Trek brand in its search for a new owner for Paramount, I can't think of a worse way to tarnish the brand than what Scopely has done. Between the bugs, the repeated inability to scale demand or manage infrastructure, and now an arc that's basically unplayable? It's just endless fan goodwill flushed down toilet for expediency and quick cash. You all ought to be ashamed.

i think the rep to be able to do the new missions is a bit high. i don't get why it is not structured that a normal player can at least do the easiest at the new patron rank. So you can at least interact with the new content in the first weeks and not grind month to be do them.

Since the update, you have to invest a lot more time to gain reputation with the Augment. Therefore, the system limit of 2000 enemies is ridiculous and needs to be adjusted. Farming reputation in the mirror and simultaneously gaining Augment reputation simply doesn't work!

The lag on collecting store bundles does not seem as resolved as you say. I'm just trying to do daily refines of materials and ship parts, and it is taking between 30 seconds to a minute to process each one.

I like that Scopely retired the Dvor and Feesha, but I wasn't using those ships anymore (besides about 10 minutes on Mondays). They eliminated a tiny grind and added in a monstrously time-consuming grind. If the goal is to maintain an experience that players can engage with and be happy, Scopely needs to start eliminating the worst grinds. The Defiant and NX-01 are right there, and other newer grolinds could easily be made less painful. I think Scopely believes that their new content should remain P2W far longer than anyone pays attention to it, and players get annoyed when they have to re-engage with an old grind just to unlock a few stubborn things.

Scopely support is just there to reject claims without actually reading them. They haven't addressed this. This is why players come here. This is why we need our support from here.

The community managers usually at least read what is being submitted to them.

To put this into perspective. I reached out to support, made a very detailed claim about what was happening and they responded with a copy/paste of a response to another issue that was affecting players that they were also ignoring. Completely tone deaf. They should be reading the tickets at the very least. This should be bare minimum requirement of them.

If they don't have enough support members to handle the influx then I suggest spending some of that money they keep stealing from us on extra support people.

The reduction in hits required is a joke. Mine was reduced from 195 hits to only 150. This loop is a complete disaster. It’s really 4 loops. This came with the nerf to the DTI, then they doubled down by making the DTI store ones only auto convert. We complained and they tripled down by auto converting them all.

That's literally how out of touch they are with the player base.

They could have fixed literally all of those problems (that they had with them, not us) by removing the task from AT, but they decided that screwing over the player base was more important.

Already not a fan of the 8 hour cooldowns in the augment store. Tiger tried to package it as a positive on Djz stream, but it's not. It's just unnecessary extra screen time and extra clicks in the middle of the day, if you have the free time to do it. Triple the cost, triple the contents, and put the standard 22 hour cooldown on it. The game already demands enough time and attention. Don't make it worse for no reason.

Finally started these new away teams… you gotta be joking. I’ve been out of the game for almost two months playing another game that is more worthy of my time at a lower cost and better ROI… I only came back to watch the meltdown over the hosed server debacle. My word, scopely is cooked.

There is going to be continued mass exodus. And for good reason. STFC, like other trek series, should only run for 7 seasons. Except this one, maybe should have stopped after 4. May this pay to progress blight end soon.

I too have about had it. The new events and contributed impossible grinds put me at the end, but what makes it worse is the humorous bugs that never get fixed - frequent lag just to collect chests, of 30-40 seconds, ships not docking properly (0000), the length of time it takes to get to screens, and my favourite, the preparing screen just spinning and spinning and never logging me in. It frequently takes me at least 2-3 times, sometimes 5, to login to the game. That's 30-40 minutes of other things I could be doing just trying to login to the game. The more this happens, the more determined I'm about leaving the game. I'm ops 61. No other game I have played has even close to this many issues. Oh, then there's getting locked out of the arena too. My teammates love that, when I'm a no show because I spend most of the time trying to log back in.

Are D'Vors and the basic raw Latinum going to have a purpose from now on? it seems once you've maxed one (to turn it into a Feesha), you lose all Refinery options for the basic raw Latinum, which rather makes the Feesha's Glas skin ... pointless?

I think what might at least be useful (and this goes for the Amalgam too, for example), is to still keep the refinery options to use if wished (and to clear out backlog), but knowing that most people will just use the Mastery Claims.

If people want to grind their mining etc for a bit extra, that's up to them. Most people won't once they've cleared their backlog, but some will.

My feedback to the DTI changes, the artifacts that covert to upgrade materials for the older artifacts should auto convert. The ones for temporal artifacts should not, them forcing that on us was horseradish.

I would agree that having a third time gate in front of the artifacts is just silly.

Gating the ability to get the directives - understandable
Gating the amount of currency you can convert - hmmm, ok I guess I'll deal with this

There is another one older than this that has not been fixed. Sounds like you have reached the max hostile kill limit, 4000, which they haven't increased in 80 years despite adding 50 million new hostiles to kill. We've tried to get this upped in the past but scopely said they prefer to screw us. Direct translation of the nonsense they responded with when it was brought up. They seem to feel like we don't see through thier thinly veiled lies and deception.

Because it auto conveted temporal artifacts into temporal disruptors, and converted any you had banked for the gain temporal artifacts task for alliane tournaments.

Making it impossible to do without a pack purchase.
