Alternatively, server owners should be able to have the user open a form (like we already can) via the button, and then asked to type a specific phrase into the submission form. If the phrase is typed correctly, then the ticket will be made; otherwise the ticket won't be made. I'm getting sick and tired of people opening tickets only to never type in them nor close them on their own, and I would love to see the ability to curb this.

Staff confirm this and strike Y according to their own discord ruleset. Staff clicks close. Staff prompted in X's ticket to enter information on the Ticket Results ie. "@ Y has been given a strike for Z thing". Once completed, Staff confirms ticket close, placing transcript in designated channel and deleting the ticket channel. A command that you can use, such as /remind in the ticket which will DM the ticket creator with a customisable message reminding the user that they have an open ticket in this server and if they are no longer needing support they can close the ticket from the DM, or they can go to the ticket by using the link provided. This would help support/staff contact the user if they are awaiting a response from them but they haven't seemed to reply just yet, this lets them close it if they are no longer in need of support, saving us time of contacting them about it. As people often forget.

I’d like to be able to have an automatic removal of links, or conditional surround links with the backtick () so that they’re not easily clicked by accident. Some people can send sketchy links through the bot form, and we already block them from sending links themselves, but now the bot can do it on their behalf and not have the sketchy link deleted. So for automation messages I’d like a feature that I can enable that gives two options: 1) detects and removes links, leaving behind <link removed>, and 2) allows link to remain but wraps it in link` so there’s no chance we accidentally click on it.

Discord has since added a feature to prevent "accidental clicks" of links with domain verification, so accidental clicks of links should be preventable.

For the time schedule notification I'd like to see an option where the notification message is just added on to the normal message instead of completely replacing it. I have an idea to create a variable with which the bot will specify a quantity if the same user creates a ticket in the panel multiple times.

What I mean is, so that the bot in the initial message when opening a ticket can specify a variable with the number of previous tickets of the same user who opened, in the same panel. For example, a user creates a ticket on one panel, and in the variable "Total number of requests: 1", the user creates a second ticket in the same panel: "Total number of requests: 2".

It would be a huge help to introduce ticket accounting for users so I can go back into their previous requests and reconcile everything or make sure they're not trying to mislead support team / spam tickets.

List all users added to a ticket in the ticket transcript, not just those who chatted in the ticket. Here is an example to highlight why this would be helpful:

On our server, we have forum channels (like this one) with specific Posting Guidelines. If a user does not follow the Posting Guidelines, we open a ticket with them to ask them to update their post. Sometimes, the user does not respond after several attempts to contact them, so we delete their post in the forum channel and close the ticket. Later, the user may make the same mistake again. We search the #ticket-transcripts channel to see whether this is a recurring issue, so we can decide on the appropriate action to take. However, their name is not listed on any tickets, because they did not respond in the tickets they were added to.

Start using ephemeral messages for form tickets(tickets that require filling out a form before opening), so multiple-choice questions can get added.

Stop hiding behind the limitations of only using modals for that, it's self-limiting. A single bot dev did better with an application bot, so I don't see why y'all can't use ephemeral messages for forms.

Ephemeral messages should be used if a form has multiple choice questions, and in the editor, there should be an option to let them only pick 1 option, or all that apply. This would be useful for a ticket for reporting users, and requiring the one making the report to select a valid reason, so they can't just say anything but have to select a rule the person in question is breaking.

when a ticket is closed because of automation, e.g ticket was closed as the user left the server, ticket tool should automatically add that into the close reason variable.

This would let mods add that variable into some embeds so they could quickly see why the ticket was closed without having to guess - would be especially useful if you have more than one automation running as it can be hard to tell which one triggered the ticket close sometimes

I use the Ticket Tool Bot quite often, and I wish that when using the command /close, there could be an additional option to write a comment or note. For example, explaining why the ticket was closed or adding other details so the user can see it.

Category name change automatically when a ticket is claimed.

So let’s take this server for example. Staff could have a category for unclaimed tickets, and categories for all staff that are currently handling tickets. Let’s say the opened tickets category is [ST] (English) OPEN and a category for stitch (definitely a random staff that I chose) is called [ST] (English) Jstitch. When stitch claims a ticket, that ticket will be moved from OPEN to Jstitch. This will help staff understand what tickets they can handle and which they can’t. While I don’t know what you guys do on the staff dep as I’m not a staff, if this hasn’t been considered I think it will be nice. + When a staff member doesn’t handle any tickets at that moment their category can be deleted temporarily.

Queue tickets when the limit of open tickets is exceeded.

Some servers are large and use tickets with a lot of people. As a result, said servers may quickly find themself reaching the limit of channels leaving members who really need help with an error message. Instead of this error, it'd be nice to create tickets in a queue so it will be opened automatically when the limit is no longer exceeded.

There should be a global setting checkbox for features. For example, when a ticket is closed if I want all of the ticket closed messages for every panel to look the same, there should be a checkbox to set this for all of them.

I guess my suggestion is really just an easier way to copy settings across panels.

This is already possible by using a bot that does welcome messages and making a new message with $new [userid], whitelisting the ID of the bot in your server configuration, and setting a command channel. While this is not directly a feature of Ticket Tool, this is something you may use in the meantime.

It would be a cool feature for you to add a button to the ticket message, so you can select multiple actions while pressed. Ex: You have a shop and someone is making a ticket because they didn‘t recieve the bought item, and my staff can hit the button (name can be custom) and it‘ll move the category, only the "billing support" role has access to it and it creates an embed to ping the billing team, same like if you create a ticket in this server the ask question. (Everything is customisable, from the name to the actions.) there should be different options already shown like in automation.

Ability to choose between multiple transcripts channels, with a permission system that makes it so only specific roles chooses which channel to transcript a specific ticket when using $transcript or clicking the button, basically each chosen transcript channel with a settings cog to manage their utility permission, this helps add more privacy and avoid sneaky sniping when manually transcripting and deleting the transcript and putting it in a different private channel after dealing with a ticket that was initially public to specific rules and then set private. Basically making things more organized. Since Discord servers would choose to have multiple or one panel system, and mostly focusing on what's manageable, especially those that has an appeal system, seperate report system, and such.

Enable the use of the @silent flag (or equivalent) for TicketTool messages to suppress unnecessary pings. This is especially important when using Private Threads so staff aren't getting dozens of not hundreds of pings a day.

Discord does not automatically interpret @silent commands from Bots, and instead the Bot must encode the right flag when submitting a message. This could be implemented a few different ways, depending on what library TicketTool is using to interact with Discord. For example, sending the 4096 flag. I tried setting these via the Edit Raw of Custom Commands (via "flags": [ 4096 ]) but it strips anything from the JSON that is not "message" or "embeds".

In any case, it would be great if TicketTool could enable some functionality for silent messages. Either through not stripping JSON from custom commands, adding a switch for @silent to the Thread config, or parsing messages beginning with @silent and encoding the flag to match the behavior intended by the admin.

Allow for server owners/managers to select what kinds of attachments are saved in transcripts, or for TT to automatically delete message attachments before converting it to a transcript; having automatic removal of attachments could be a free feature, while selecting what attachments are saved (whether it be images, files, or even certain file extensions like jpg or pngs) could be premium. As is, even though the bot doesn't save the images in transcripts, discord keeps it on their servers for 2 weeks, meaning the images can still be recovered for that time.

It would be great to have an option for the free bot or Premium version where it would be possible to block out "nonsense spam" when the option forms is enabled.
So when Members open tickets, they put an actual sentence other then e.g "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa" or "ksfjhsfhs" or "!!!!!!!!!",... in it.
Will save everyone a lot of time resolving tickets, and prehibit those from opening rubbish tickets

Forms - Last used Value when opening a new Ticket
As the title describes, often a value of a ticket does not change for a user - it would be great if we can checkmark in the forms option a "use last value" modifier.
Usecase as example: In many games you have a internal nickname or e.g Steam64ID - it would be great if this value is saved and reentered automatically.
Saw it on a custom bot from a friend and thought it would be a great addition. Mabye there is even a variable I missed in docs to enable :D.

Having ticket tool delete a lot of channels at the same can cause the bot to hit the rate limits. It is very unlikely it is ever gonna be implemented. You can however copy and paste the $delete command in all your tickets, as a way to quickly delete all your tickets.

A little about it
We use ticket tools for almost everything we do, and it's come to our attention a feature that would benefit everyone so I've come to make that suggestion, and truly do believe businesses will thrive because they can offer it.

How it would work
Depending on a user's assigned roles it assigns them to a different sub-category within the ticket tool. Let's say that we've created a panel called "testing" and that the testing panel has sub-sections in it called "New Tickets 1", "New Tickets 2", "Donation Support", "Game Support", and "VIP Priority". Due to the role "VIP" it would assign them into [VIP Priority] and we'd be to get to them faster as something that's offered.

Offered Solution
The currently offered solution recommends users create a separate panel and has a VIP Section from there, however, it doesn't allow you to move it to other panels at the moment (I saw it's been recommended which is a great thing) Suggestion here:

Which isn't the greatest way of doing it, and offering it automatically to a different sub-cat would be great.

Short Version
Adding a sub-section in the ticket tools, and allowing a role to assign it to one of those automatically in order to deal with certain things quicker for higher-paying customers, or people that spend a load of hours and dedication to the game service you offer, etc.

It's already possible, even though it counts with a limitation. Ticket Tool will only act upon 30 commands triggered by a single bot per minute, if you exceed that limit trying to close the tickets with your custom bot it won't work

add dropdown tickets and make tickets create on threads, because threads dont get deleted just archived, so one person would just have 1 thread in the entire time that stay in the server, any time the person created a ticket it would re-open that thread (would change the subject in the name of ticket acording to the subject choosen)and moderation team could see everything said in those times that person needed support, the tickets would have the person name and subject, and subject change when another ticket with different subject was made
