My guess based on performances of other UE5 titles & the feedback on S2 demo from tech experts is that people can safely count on stable 90 FPS on optimised settings using something like 4070 Super in 1440p. With the same settings it'll be around 100 with Ti Super & nearing 120 for 4080 Super, that's what I'm thinking, and if that's gonna be the case on "Optimised Very High" — it's a W all things considered 👌🏻

I had such an occasion while hiding in the Valet's room at the (former) bandits camp close to an Oasis: there were few neutral NPCs in the room with me & some neutral once nearby judging by the radar — as soon as the emission hit their dots disappeared from the radar and when the blowout ended the dots reappeared in red, and guess what 😁 I think you and Chymo are correct: those neutrals may have died to an emission first & then respawned as zombies on the spot, otherwise I can't explain what's happened 😄

the worst crime of that quest is that they nerfed the minigun for it

In my interpretation, the trilogy is the history of the creation and interior of the zone, and is essentially [Stalker 1]. HoC is definitely a new zone history and is worthy of a second title.

That's not exactly how it works. Stalker trilogy was made in very relatively short amount of time with not too massive changes, great improvements yes, but nothing ground breaking. Call of Chernobyl came out 2007 and Pripyat in 2009.

Stalker 2 is a massive improvement and the game seems to have changed for the better significantly and the story seems to have reached a turning point that makes stalker 2 worhy of being separated from the trilogy

For similar reason half life 2 epidode 1 and 2 are not called half life 3 and 4

And the matter of sequels and prequels. Would be a mess to call clear sky 2 when it's a prequel

it's similar to Call of Chernobyl because most of the map is basically the same with some changes. Call of Pripyat though is much more open world... imo those 2 older games are just full of choke points which make it feel less like an open world.

I always avoided certain areas because I knew certain mutant I do not like tends to be in the area, until much later I got more used to them 😂

you need to hire a guide, but the price isn't too steep. just wouldn't recommend to constantly swap between maps

No, not then. Back then it was a transitional period when GSC had the game ready, but decided to use the time given by delays and migration to Czech Republic in order to port it from UE4 to UE5 & were in the middle of that process, basically. In a year+ from March-2023 lots of stuff could've been changed & no leaks have surfaced on that throughout all this time.
