I just tried it side by side with Stalker Complete 1.5, I think I have to give the edge to SC for at least a better looking modernized SoC experience. Though the Enhanced ed. is giving me slightly better performance, about 10 FPS

xray-monolith (anomaly) is based on openxray which is a much better implementation of the engine than what the games shipped with that much can be said for certain

I've been playing Enhanced awhile, I think I prefer Stalker Complete 1.5 for an uprezzed OG Stalker SoC experience, but it's still good that these Enhanced editions exist for console folks, for whom that isn't an option.

(In theory anyway - assuming the console issues at launch get fixed for this)

Isn’t that what most studios do that do these remasters? Just over saturate everything and stick some more bloom in there with AI upscale and that’s somehow a remaster. Grove Street butchered GTA remaster and Matapoo has done pretty much the same here with Stalker “remaster” it’s just a shame GSC wouldn’t be able to pull off the same chad move R* done and booted their outsourced studio off the project and fixed it themselves.

It's not entierly impossible, but these stuff usually comes with mods, not games. Again, as long as a patch is addressing bugs without removing things that are directly involved with your save games (stored data), it should be safe

If something changes data already stored within the save file, like for example removes a certain section that is responsible for a specific gun or item from a game which you already have it saved with, it will crash due to missing section expression. ryzen 7 5800 + rx 6800 here and i can also reach 60-70 fps with fsr but i can also reach 50 fps without that is my gpu limit at native 1440 or somewhere there but sometimes it did drop down to 40 and my gpu was at like 90% in that scenario which happened often fsr doesn't mean anything because it's just pure cpu bottleneck in busy areas like hub areas (dec 2024)

I was attributing it to a lack of option on the controllers before, but apparently no, as even playing with a mouse RMB just does a longer throw which is still instant.

These are easy to fix (if its like original CoP)
[COP] Leader Achievement still bugged, makes your squad more susceptible to damage rather than stronger.
[COP] Mutant bodies bugged like in vanilla, take way too long to be removed causing performance degradation and/or vicious removal of human bodies instead.
[COP] Courier of Justice still bugged - Magpie’s loot is not given to the player.

@eager fossil can we request slightly more detailed changelogs for EE in the future? Those that you do for S2 are amazing, they describe every little change no matter how insignificant it might seem. For LotZ just saying "fixed popular crashes" doesn't mean much, people won't know if the crash they experienced got fixed, or what was causing the issues in the first place.

I understand that's likely just what you get from Mataboo but if you could forward that feedback that would mean a lot.

LotZ was REALLY bad about changes. One of the changelogs said something among the lines of "fixed faction war" but the actual change was just bringing back two cut bandit squads near Depot.. Like, that doesn't fix any of the issues lol.

Just hoping the situation does become better with EE.
