More fast travel options plus base creation (with trader, etc), maybe base defense and base assaults? More boss fights (story or non-story related)? Flashlight upgrades? Items that allow for adding new mechanics (repair kits, mobile lab/workshop gear to create custom ammo, etc)?

A few of these might not be 'needs' though, more like 'nice to have'. You've inspired me to dream big. 🥹😅

Yea, those are normal, since I'm pretty sure the Monolith and the Noontide are considered as separate NPCs in the game code.

I've killed countless Monolith in Pripyat (and I've not even been to the bloody Detention Centre/Korshunov's outpost) and Noon is cool with me.

Yaniv has Degtyarev, who's Ukrainian Military, so I'm guessing the Corps are official (not part of the hierarchy but government-sanctioned).

Yep...CoP is basically the only game where the Military is treated as a bunch of actually living people.

CS/SoC and S2 treat them as basically expendable mooks for the unseen government forces. CoP made me sympathetic to the Military to a large extent (and even in CS, Khaletskiy says just how bad it is).

Yep, probably that. OXA worked fine for a bit before things broke and now, pistols broke because any sights don't aim properly.

Most of the scopes are misaligned and even if they aren't, Skif holds them wrong, so either the aim is blocked or completely off (or he still aims them as if they have iron sights).

It is, yea, but that's why I use the scopes that the gun originally is compatible with, in vanilla. Some of them (like the G36 above) work with the RNBW 2X, so that's good.

imo deathloop is one of the best shooters of the past 10 years and big part of it is because it has hands down the best dualense support I've ever seen

This is the part (in time) when I reset the in-game gamma to 50%.

You can see that the area is pretty well lit, but that's because my torch is on and it's general lighting. If I got into a fire-fight, I'd be instantly dead due to not being able to see enemies.

Ah, fair; I've only played the trilogy, but got BSoDs in CS and CoP when I increased the A-Life distance to 600 using the Reclamation Projects. Only in 2 places, but...still.

If you ever want to try a great Mod that includes all the maps of the trilogy games and more, give "Call of the Zone" a try.
You can hire Companions to travel with you. One time I had an army of 40 Companions traveling the Zone with me.
