If you have an issue with the pc later you can use that as a recovery drive

If you ever have a need to reset the pc again, you can boot from that USB and go into the recovery menu from there. There's several ways to do that, directly from the bios or from within the windows advanced reboot menu are the most common.

Normally drivers just get overwritten, and windows keeps a small database of older versions you had in case you need to do an emergency roll back. Occasionally there can be problems with this, especially with graphics and audio drivers. This is why DDU exists.

Good news! Using bootcamp on a different computer I was able to finally create the USB stick and install windows on my new PC.
However now I have run into a smaller issue related to my display. My pc is connected to an LG 49WL95C-W monitor via Display Port. At first the usb ports on the monitor were working to carry mouse + keyboard signal. But after I restarted the ports on the display are not working anymore via Display Port. Still working via USB-C to my mac. Anyway to get those to work?

Yes. However you won't be able to do much in the way of personalization until you put the key in. But once you fet to a desktop and access your email with the key, go to Settings>Update and Security>Activation.

Hello there, my pc has been down for a while (windows 10). It all started one day when it randomly died. I got random blue screens with lots of different errros( can include them later if needed). 2)At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
3)If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

Long story short though, if your PC is connected to the internet and someone wants in bad enough, they can get in. The good news is just about any of us don't have anyone that wants in bad enough to spend the resources required to execute a targeted attack

If it was a blue screen crash, there will be a DMP. If you look in the Event Viewer, look in some of the other log files to see when the system recorded a power up sequence and walk backwards from there to see if you can find something to indicate what happened. Even a hardware error will leave foot prints in log files. That is not absolute but usual.
Go back to what's changed. What's new.. etc.

Instead of letting windows handle what it thinks is best, it sets it to dump the kernel memory information which includes error code, running drivers, potential fault modules, etc. This takes only a few seconds.
A "full" dump would take a copy of everything in memory, including running programs. This gets very large and can take a long time the more memory is in use.
The small dump isn't generally recommended as it only includes bare minimum info
