Yes
what os u running
unplug and replug the hard drive
I did
And tried a new cable and port and its detected in bios
How do I do that
should be an option under the boot tab
Ok
if that doesnt work disable secure boot and enable csm
Hello

MSI Mag Mortar Wifi/ MSI 550M PRO VDH WIFI
G.Skill Tridentz Neo 16x2 3600mhz
Gigabyte 512GB NVme Gen 3
Seasonic SSR-750FX Focus Plus 750W 80+ White Gold Modular
Xigmatek Gaming X Arctic White with 4 Pieces ARGB Fan
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Led Turbo ARGB
Are all of these compatible ?
Yes but i would make some changes
Well first of all what country are you in?
Ahh emm what are your other options for case, ssd cpu cooler and power supply?
Yeah you're not high enough level it's okay tho I'm mod so i can see in logs
How can I show you the lists ?
Yesss
Ryzen 5 5600G
MSI Mag Mortar Wifi/ MSI 550M PRO VDH WIFI
G.Skill Tridentz Neo 16x2 3600mhz
Gigabyte 512GB NVme Gen 3

Seasonic SSR-750FX Focus Plus 750W 80+ White Gold Modular
Xigmatek Gaming X Arctic White with 4 Pieces ARGB Fan
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Led Turbo ARGB
These are my choices . Around 1k$ budget .
What's budget in local currency?
50,000-52,000 php
Okay
Em the link you sent has no msi b550 boards btw, both are good tho
This Mobo out of stocks atm
Ya
Since I prefer with Bluetooth and Wifi
What changes can you suggest Sir ?
So from what i can see in the list, I'd only change the case to the montech x3 mesh
So I should just wait for the Mobo to be available then I can go buy?
Haha he called you sir @fossil cedar imagine being old
Are yer bones creaking yet
Hahahaha sorry I'm new🥺
The b550 prime is also a decent choice so it's up to you
Err it's just showing respect I guess haha
No worries lol
Jokes on you I've had a bad back since 14 👴
Are all the parts I chose compatible sir ? Sorry not familiar with it haha
Yep
But MSI Board is way better ?
Yeah it's a decent budget case
Emm it's better but both are plenty for a 5600g
Jokes on you my knee actually gives me trouble already
I think it don't have Bluetooth and Wifi?
It says it has wifi, which will include Bluetooth, b550 prime a wifi
ASUS B550M-K Prime ? Won't I encounter any problem with this in longterm use haha
If a board has ac ax or wifi in its name its got wifi
Not that one, the one at the bottom, b550m prime a wifi ii
Yes sorry I checked the diff one haha
Will check this one. Or maybe I'll just wait for the stocks of both MSI Boards
Rookie, I've had a bad back since I was born
Thank you for the suggestion by the way .
But MSI mobo are way better than Asus prime ?
The mortar and pro vdh wifi are slightly better but both are fine for your needs, i don't think the mortar has wifi though
Got Mortar Wifi I think
Noted po
I'm curious if the 5000 series gonna work without updating the bios ?
I mean like it will work out of the box without updating coz I read some of the reviews.
It should by now
Okay thank you again. I'll get this board since it's really compatible with all the parts I chose I guess ?
Also how do I update the bios if ever ? Since some says it works for the r5 5600g then others says not so need to update the bios
I have a ryzen 5 3600 and just upgraded from a 1650 super to a Rtx 2060. Performance dropped though
Would cpu overheating bring down performance until games are unplayable?
Use smth like hwinfo64 and check if it's actually overheating
I used the AMD ryzen Mater utility and it’s capping at 95degrees
But I haven’t changed anything since before the upgrade
That ain't good
90c and above throttling starts, and damage can occur
one of my fans, makes a little rattle noise when my pc goes under load for too long, do i have to replace it?
it gets quite loud
Is it just a matter of changing the thermal paste or do I have to buy a new cooler. I turned off my pc for now
It should work out of the box by now, if not you can always return it for one of the msi boards you previously mentioned as they have bios flashback
Do you have a budget for a new cooler?
Like around 70 dollars a CAD
I’ve ordered thermal paste, we’ll see if I have to go that far
prob gammax gte
if you get smth like this, it should come with some paste anyways
https://www.vuugo.com/deepcool-cpu-coolers-DP-MCH4-GMX-GTEV2.html
is it worth it to buy a 5600g then buy a 3050 afterwards?
Get gpu first then go 5600x
would be better off upgrading to 5600x at the same time you get your 3050
If you want upgrade
exactly
maybe 2-3C
not much more
Okay thanks
Extra paste doesn't hurt tbf
I mean in asus prime?
If a few dollars isn't an issue, some extra thermal paste can be nice if you remount later
Which one?
B550-a or ..?
There's a lot of Asus prime boards
B550m prime a wifi II
Yeah i was referring to the Asus prime board
if you plan on repasting something sure
otherwise no point
no flashback on that.
How can I update the bios if ever ?
If don't have can't update it ?
Can't update a motherboard without a compatible CPU if you don't have flashback
So MSI B550M Pro VDH Wifi or MSI Mag Mortar Wifi better since no need to update the bios and have flashback ?
I'm not sure sorry
you also might need to update the bios but you wont need an older cpu for it
Yes it seems a lot easier than the other one
Is coolermaster sfx better than corsair?

Between the ones on the lists before they're on the same A tier
hey guys im trying to pick a case. anyone know which is better? lets say price is not a factor into the consideration
phateks eclipse series p400 or the corsair 4000x rgb
p400a digital in every way except 4000x can top mount radiators where p400a cant but you can front mount in p400a so not an issue
wait you cant top mount on the p400?
nope just top fans
I’m the P400a doesn’t it mostly just fit 240mm radiators in the front. I thought I read somewhere that a 360 will fit but you have to completely remove the had cage
Hdd *
360 does fit yes, idk if you have to remove the hdd cage or not
do i have to upgrade my water cooling to a bigger size?
i got 2*120
it supports 3*120 and 2 *140
it also supports 240mm on the front
is fitting the radiator on top or on the side more optimal?
also should i look into nzxt 510?
Anyone have a cable extension recommendation?
No
Top is slightly better but front with a better case is superior
Asia horse do decent ones
Cablemod are nice but $$$
Heya Fal are you busy by chance? And if not could I ask a smol favor? I got a pc im selling locally I don't want to post the link here as I know it's against the rules. But if you could just check out my post and let me know if it seems fair from an outside perspective (it's a local pickup only) so I'm not shopping for a customer rn
Sure you can dm it to me
Sweet bro thanks
I need help with windows. I asked Microsoft and they said my current windows license that came with my laptop is incompatible with a new device so basically I have to get a new windows license. How do I go about doing that? I need it for my new pc build
Yeah that's usually how those oem licenses work.
You can get a cheap key on eBay or grey market websites, $5-25. We can't link for legal reasons.
Hey guys, whats the best ram for ryzen5 5600x/3060ti. Should I go 16gb 3600 or 32gb 3600. Brand recommendations would be great too!
get some 3600mhz cl16, 16gb or 32gb depends on how much you'll be using
If you're just gaming with some browser tabs and discord open 16gb is plenty
Yeah I just play fps with spotify and browser on the background haha
Should I just go 16gb?
Sure. I've never needed more than that personally except on my server.
Thank you!
Can I dm you?
is it possible to make an IO shield even though the PC has a built in IO shield?
Sure I've got a little time
What do you mean?
The case has an IO shield built in or the motherboard does?
the case
What case?
If it's a case that's been used previously you can just pop out the old shield
iv'e used it previously
Was it a prebuilt or oem (dell, hp, etc) computer?
it's just the frame
dell
Well if it's one that they designed to only fit their motherboard you'll need to do a bit of modifying, but if the shield looks removable you can pop it out with a little force, and maybe a hammer.
how would i modify it
if you want to know how old it is, it's rocking an AMD athlon x2 250
Probably with a dremel
and then with the new motherboard, just stick the new IO shield there?
Yep
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN 😩😩
Only time I could have used more is when playing COD
Having a little trouble where this front panel connector goes
It’s a usb 3.0 front panel usb connector
I tried fitting it on the same place the Manuel says but this cable seems too big
I’m using a b560 a asus strix mobo
The board has two connectors, one is a USBC type, the other is a regular USB3.0 two port connector
The USB C is the one above, 3.0 is below
Between those two capacitors and that screw on the board
Take a pic of the end of the cable, facing the camera
Can't tell if it has a cap on it or where the slot is lol
Wait…I think it was a cap lol
There ya go lol
I used a screwdriver to open it cuz it was impossible to open it
Looks fine now thanks
👍
The thing that needs to be protected is the plug side xd
Yeah weird and it was really hard to take off too. I almost thought id break it cuz I was applying so much pressure with the screwdriver to pry it open
Luckily everything works
Lol, on another server someone tried install a gpu with the pcie protector on it.
. Build looks good, even if it looks like rainbow cotton candy
Lmao yikes
And yea I know, I still gotta download the drivers and asus armoury crate
Then I can change the color
I just realized I forgot to cut out the led lights outta the cpu fan. Now I gotta take this out again 🤡
exactly lol
protect pins not holes
Hello can I ask which one is better psu?
Seasonic SSR-750FX Focus Plus 750W 80+ White Gold Modular
Or Gigabyte UD750GM 750PLUS 750Watts 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular
Are those your only possible options..?
Neither is a great option, one is an old platform with some known issues, the other a PSU model I can't find much info on by a company that had a pretty bad failure with their product
UD stands for ultra durable so it must be good
same old platform with higher wattage lol
(FX is the couple year old variant of GX, a lot of those have transient issues)
oh god
Yes
mwe v2 is good, everything else is bad
no online marketplaces?
What country if you don't mind us asking?
It's a specific shop since I'm only buying parts then it includes free build I guess
Have.
Aren't that one is overkill?
Yes
I mean, the option is either overkill good psu, or all of the rest is pretty bad PSUs
kinda cool that they offer that though
and at that point, I'd try to build it yourself if possible
The selection is quite sad
Ain't that familiar with building haha
maybe you can ask them if they'll take an outside psu
Going down the list, can't trust gigabyte atm after they made a literal explosive psu, p-b is bad, cv is bad, fx is old with transient issues, s12iii is the worst seasonic branded psu
probably not but worth a shot?
power supply not really a part you want to make compromises on
And well, building isn't that hard when it comes down to it
lots of guides, lots of resources that helps, decent documentation
What psu can you recommend me ?
If you can buy from an outside source, EVGA G6 850w for 108$ is a pretty neat deal atm
well, for the US
Not sure where you are
Philippines haha
shoppee time
ah, i've heard from some filipinos that it's not fun to source parts there
850w ? Isn't 750 enough for 3060 and Ryzen 5 5600g?
Many scalpers haha
Definitely enough, its just a good deal in the US, on sale on amazon
might also have to check lazada but I don't like lazada
another option on shopee that'll work
https://shopee.ph/Corsair-CX-F-CX550F-CX650F-CX750F-550W-650W-750W-RGB-Fully-Modular-Black-White-PSU-Power-Supply-i.50916350.11963476380
These are assuming you can confirm legitimacy, not too familiar with Philippine markets and all
Yes will check other choices
Will buy this one then
Price is high converted to usd, but well, that's not the US, so buy at your digression relative to other prices for PSUs in Philippines
Thank you by the way
You're welcome
I buy 750 or 650w?
This one
Either way is fine
This one would do? Corsair 750w cx750m 80PLUS BRONZE fully modular
Would not do CXm, coil whine is annoying and parts are lower quality in general
But CXF is okay?
CX-F is a different platform, its better
Gigabyte P750GM 80plus gold fully modular
Seasonic 750fx focus 80PLUS gold fully modular
Corsair cx750m 80PLUS bronze fully modular
Which one should I choose? Haha
first one literally blows up (kinda randomly), third one can have annoying coil whine and not the highest quality, middle has a good chance of having transient issues
on a sucky scale, P-GM is wayyy at the end, fx has a chance of having an issue that'll suck if you get any gpu that spikes, cx-m is just on the lower quality end
FX, when no issues, is a good psu
Is it AP-GM or something else?
there's 0 chance that a 3060 will ever spike enough to cause problems with a 750w psu while being paired with a 5600g
but might cause problems assuming the psu will be kept for a few years and see some hardware upgrades
Not indicated
oh right 3060, forgot they specified gpu already
yeah it's just a matter of longevity
as long as that psu stays with a 3060 no issue
Also gigabyte x570 aorus pro wifi a good Mobo?
Its expensive
Ya this one only and Asus b550m a wifi II the ones which are available
that one would be fine
5600g not a demanding cpu, you can run it on any board that's compatible with it
Yes prefer to buy MSI but not avail will see
Aorus AP750GM 80PLUS GOLD FULLY MODULAR
Msi mag b550M Mortar Wifi?
Just read something that MSI mag are good hahaha
Ryzen 5 5600G
Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wifi
G-Skill Trident Neo RGB 16x2 3600Mhz DDR4
HDD Western Digital Blue 2TB 3.5
Gigabyte 512GB NVME Gen 3
Montech X3 Mesh RGB Fan White W/6 RGB Fan
Cooler Master 212 LED TURBO ARGB
These one ?
Then this psu Corsair CX750F 750W RGB Fully Modular Black
All of it would be good?
Sorry I'm not familiar with parts much
What Mobo can you suggest? Haha sorry
No igpu. I don't have gou yet. Haha
Itx board means just small board right ?
AP-GM can be good too, but cx-f is still good
Ap-gm would do ?
But I read review that it's hard to update the bios if ever
Would I encounter any problem if these are the parts then the Corsair cxf ?
nope
if the shop is building it for you, they should handle the bios update
That'll be fine
Since I plan to buy in that specific store then just buy a psu outside then give it to them
Really?
i mean are they going to give you a pc that doesn't turn on
yeah it won't turn on if the bios is too old for the 5600g lol
just ask them to update it for you
Just checking for a freind, what’s a better ssd
both are horrible for those prices
He just wanted me to check
TEAMGROUP MP33 M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive uses a high-speed PCIe Gen3 x4 interface and complies with the NVMe 1.3 standard. With 3D NAND flash memory, the transfer speed is 3 times faster than SATA III. Suitable for players who have needs in speed, and it is the top choice when it comes to upgrad...
It doesn’t have to be from Walmart
get this unless no m.2 slots
How do ypu clone data on to m.2
just download macrium reflect or something lol
does it have an m.2 slot?
Noted about this take you!!
Basically if gonna buy a psu it should be cx-f or MWe?
Can I ask what's the gonna be the problem with
Seasonic SSR-750FX Focus Plus 750W 80+ White Gold Modular
?
Hey guys, whats the best 650w or 750w sfx out there?
Is this the model you mentioned Sir?
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
SFX ones are marked in green. One A tier unit is essentially as good as another.
Does the coolermasters still have the fan noise problem?
Is Corsair CVSeries 750 Gold good as psu?
Sorry?
gold rating says nothing about quality
Around how much is the CV series gold 750
if it says RM 750 its probably not a CV 750
and it says bronze there
Well that's CV but it's bronze
colour of box=/= efficiency of psu
Thank you I guess I should just go visit a physical store. The seller sends different picture each time
Thank you btw
Oof yeah would not go to them
Yup, just check the cultists list in the pins
It's for the what?
Compatibility with the Mobo?
Huh? It's a tier list of power supplies
Sorry not knowledgeable in building pc
No worries
Motherboards are compatible with power supplies, at least largely in the case of consumer boards/PSUs, by nature of both conforming to standards and regulation
12VO exists but is rare outside servers and workstations for now. Consumer desktops widely use the ATX standard.
If compatible out of the box then there's no need to update ng bios right ?
If it is it will work, sometimes it's no harm updating your bios anyway if there's security patches etc
I can't update it coz I don't have older cpu . And the board doesn't support the flashback.
So still thinking whether to get Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro Wifi or Asus B550M Prime Wifi II since these are the only choices. Sorry for asking a lot of questions.
Sorry I'm confused what's the situation again?
How big is the price difference?
And well, the shop should have extra chips and should be able to update the board for you
Oh it doesn't support also?
But well, the bios that supports Zen 3 came out a year ago, so there's a much higher chance today that the board you get has the correct update already
I think it have q flash button and just need to download the file in aorus?
So I should just go with the Asus prime? Since the shop kinda say it's up to the customer about compatibility etc . It doesn't include in the warranty
Q flash plus is what gigabyte calls flashback, no flashback on aorus pro from what I can see though
Q flash plus is way easier isn't it ?
If they're decent people, they should help you with updating bios, it's a quick like 10 minute thing to plop a CPU in, update, take it out
But the shop said it's compatible out of the box. Means no need to update the bios like it's plug and play with the Ryzen 5000 series ?
Today, there's like a 85% chance it is, and if they have the box already, there's a good chance they already saw if the box said the "5000 compatible" piece boards with the correct bios has
I made a thread in reddit also people say no definite answer. So I should just go with the aorus ? Since idk if the store will help in updating it if ever?
Ya I think it's already compatible and no need to update but idk if I should gamble on it . So kinda hesitant about Asus prime
Anyways thanks for always entertaining my questions . I appreciate ur help guys thank youuu!!
I’m still having audio port issues with my other headset
I don’t think the ports are grounded properly
Gonna spend 15 mins booting and re downloading drivers and all tha
I don’t think any of these ports for my audio on my case are grounded right
Tried just moving your PC and setup to a different room in the house yet? Maybe go over to the living room and try it there?
You're welcome
Idk what that would do those
I can’t just move stuff
I wonder if it’s because of my 24 pin by change
Chance
Why not?
And why would it be 24pin?
It's annoying but moving to use a different socket from a different circuit in the house could fix things
But then if it works, I’d have to potentially permanently move my setup there
No, if it works, it means you'll prob want to call an electrician to fix whatever's wrong with the circuit in your house
And that's probably a good thing to diagnose now, if that's the problem
I’ve got another 3 outlets in my room but I need extension to reach them
Dad says everything in the house is fine and I can’t mess with anything
Outlets in the same room is prob going to be on the same circuit
Just plug it in elsewhere else in the house and see how it goes
If that does it, it's proof there's something wrong with power in your room, at least the socket you were using
I wonder if just switching to the bottom outlet would help
Cause my desk is plugged into one and my pc the other
I don't think so, just taking the PC to a different room should be able to give you a different result
I wonder if the basement would work, it’s kinda dirty down there and we have a cat
Its just the simplest way to test without having to check with wiring in your house afaik
Frick, I couldn’t bring my chair then because he would destroy it
Just plug the computer in with peripherals in the kitchen or something
Would it possibly be my 25 dollar headset causing the issue?
Possible, yes
That’s gotta be it ffs
If you have something else you could test with, use that
Do you have other headphones?
Earbuds will work
Not now lol, my earbuds were causing the issue a lot more actually
This headset has only done it once vs like 2 or 3 times an hour
Then still take the PC and check using the earbuds
Oh my god the reason I didn’t have sound was my headphone volume was turned down, I didn’t have to unplug them

I could have avoided the shirt that time
Short
🤬
Hello is this a good psu Corsair CX750M 80Plus Bronze Fully Modular Black
No, CX-M is low end and very commonly has coil whine
There's a PSU tier list pinned in #cases-psu-and-cooling
Cx-f is good, GX is good.
It's also pinned in this channel
man i'm pretty sure we've told you this like 8 times already
O it is 😳
Sorry thank youuu
looks like it hasn't been updated in a minute
last updated oct 30
still has msi a-gf as A tier
Perhaps but I still think they moved a-gf from gold a to normal a
Had a convo with someone elsewhere, really have to think about how much hold up times really matter
Inaccurate pwr okay is real bad, it should be put into low priority at least for that, but the hold up times...
hold up times don't matter as much as pwr ok signal, bad pwr ok signal is potentially dangerous
personally had a 24-pin cable melt due to under voltage lol
The thing is, the hold up time is much lower than ATX standard, but then again, still dunno how to approach how bad that is
It's like 10ms when standard is 17ms
i mean.. if anything having a low hold up time is probably better if you have a bad pwr ok signal lol
Just don't really know how bad it is, because testing had pwr okay stop milliseconds before the power actually went out so
Or fell below atx standards on the Tom's hardware review
but i'm pretty uneducated about in depth psu stuff so idk
i would think bad pwr ok would drop it to at least B+
Indeed
It's okay tho, bitfenix comes to save the day with formula/whisper m
Hello
is a windows 11 laptop with an 11th gen intel for less than $200 good?
For 200 USD?
less
It's good
considering i'm using a 7 year old laptop that has an intel pentium, this is SUPER good
That's a great price
Bruh
I haven't seen a 10th gen i3 laptop for that little
Thats an exceplent proce
Idk if this is a problem with all the inspirons or just my model but make sure the trackpad works properly
it's an i5
I know
Yeah thwyre just saying they dont find stuff thats slower for that low
I'm saying it's much better than anything else I've seen
i would upgrade the storage
256GB is not enough
it is, but i would want at least 500GB

i need to know for b Stonks
if you're not overclocking sure, also depends on your components.
ryzen 5 5600g and a 3060 ti hopfully
you'll be fine
https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/ tier b low priority
should be fine
whats a a teir evga in that pice range
its a budget build components with plat rated psu
the only a tier psus from evga are: Supernova G6 (A), Supernova G2(L) / G3 / P2 / P6 / T2 (low priority units)
another psu I would recommend taking a look at would be the super flower leadex 3
trying to get bstonks though
they are the OEM of some EVGA psus and some other psus
this one? at that point id just buy a brand new one
bstock are usually return/refurbished units
no so i can get elite membership for bstonks
thats what im doing
im getting a new psu
to replace my old one
and so i can get access to 30 series b stonks @ripe wedge
@earnest olive i found out whenever i uninstall the driver it literally requests to install itself and does it anyway
it requests the installation and doesn't ask me it just does it
i just found a cheap 12th gen intel processor
yes that's the point
if you call $200 cheap, that is
stop trying to run hardware without a driver lol
it's only going to cause problems
gotcha
you don't want your system to not know what half of your CPU does
fax
i ended up just getting a g5
might just buy a whole new cpu
27" QHD gaming monitor with blazing-fast IPS technology, stunning color coverage and tear-free, stutter-free gameplay in a revamped bold design.
is this good?
Its good.

k, ty
EVGA - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING 12GB GDDR6X PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card
is 1500.00 good for this one?
have a chance to get one put on hold for me
Normal price to pay
k, so nothing special, just availability right
I'm trying to talk him into holding onto a 3090 24GB
what are the diff between the EVGA and NVIDIA?
is there a quality and/or compatibility diff?
there are so many diff models of the 3090/3080
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/avirel/saved/#view=NQMZcf right now have this system i'm gonna buy everything this weekend BUT i am changing out the monitor was wondering if waiting for the 3090 is worth it?
so many diff models from ASUS/MSI/NVIDIA EVGE WTH is the best option for the i7 I'm gonna build?
who made this list for you?
combonation of help
was it Pato?
yeah
take his advice and stop asking for confirmation
hmm
We'd never recommend parts that aren't worth what they cost, or any bad parts for the most part unless ultra low budget or specific request
"I must have the H510 elite because reasons" lol
Oh 100% not a single 3090 is worth the cost unless you're a miner
I can get it for MSRP
go for a 6900xt for the same price
Or 3080ti if you must have the best
Within a couple % of the 3090
In fact my 3080 ti outperforms my old 3090
the only reason I ask now is because when we put together the parts list my budget was 2500.00 now my budget is 3500.00 and i have a chance to get either the 3080 or 3090 at MSRP
cuz my daighter started dating a GM for best Buy and he can hold one for me
Mmm pretty sure they can get fired for holding that but if he wants to risk it...
You can?
Big time
Already answered ^
How much fps
there will be fps yes
Lmao
Depends on the game, resolution and detail settings like i mentioned before
Ok tysm
You're welcome
do my fightstick and upcoming egpu cassette look cool, even if low end specs?
Oh nice did you build that yourself?
yes
Pretty cool
custom plexiglass top, lumber and plywood sides
thank
i made the egpu frame too
and am going to turn a lower graphics card into a rom cartridge-like shape
Fair play to ya
only because even a gt 1030 could not fit natively
i might not even need to make the full io shield
i can make the pcie x16 to usb adapter look like a cartridge slot
I mean all io shields do is block dust but why would you need one? The gpu basically has a built in one
no for the board
i just block the whole wooden panel off
and only drill a hole for the dc and aux jacks
Oh right
problem is that this nuc only has four visible usb ports
there are supposedly two more hidden but not sure
gotta check the bios
only waiting for dc + aux extenders and a sata power to molex picoblade cable
i have the sata data cable
but old formats are used here
probably gonna install win10 ame or debian
Techpowerup
Anandtech
Gamers Nexus
thank you so much
Tom's Hardware is great for SSDs too
fake site that detects fake amazon reviews!
User reviews 99% off the time mean nothing
thanks
No problem
Techspot hothardware guru3d
No m.2 slot on your board?
I already have dual 1tb gen 4s
But they're pretty much full and I want to replace my HDD
What motherboard do you have?
X570 tuff wifi
Ahh okay sata it is
Incase you went away lol
Wd blue and mx500 are good, cx2 is not and WD blue is cheaper
Ok
Does it come with the cache?
Cause ik PCPartPicker doesn't always list if there's cache or how much if there is
Honestly just depends
sorry for asking twice
On?
If it has HMB, and the other parts
Looks useless
why
We have 230 reviews of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 24GB GDDR6X PCIe and the average score is 82%. View all reviews, videos, ratings and awards for nvidiageforcertx309024gbgddr6xpcie. TestSeek is an independent and unbiased review aggregator, it is our mission to collect all expert reviews and calculate an average rating for each product.
Lazy, very little products and looks like they don't know much
what do you mean little products?
i checked products and find 90% of the reviews on that site
no
click on 36 months and you can see lots of new products
like this
305 pages of products on just 3 years
so...
Just for looking at monitors, they don't go in depth enough, @feral bobcat , rtings is what I'd go to for monitor reviews
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/gigabyte/m27q
testseek is just exactly like metacritic and opencritic
And well, the issue with just taking excerpts is that it really doesn't tell you enough
We have 26 reviews of Gigabyte M27Q and the average score is 91%. View all reviews, videos, ratings and awards for gigabytem27q. TestSeek is an independent and unbiased review aggregator, it is our mission to collect all expert reviews and calculate an average rating for each product.
For these things, testseek has 0 useful info for us, we'd rather just go to the original source, and go straight to our preferred source
But where on the page does it give an actual number for pixel response time or color accuracy or gamut or brightness or anything we'd care about?
The issue with brief summaries is that sure, "excellent monitor with good color" is a decent overview, but problems come in when we're trying to compare things
There's just no reason imo to go for testseek when we can get the in depth data we want that testseek doesn't provide from reviewers we like
i just some all reviews manually
Also, like, why the hell are their game reviews on a page about 3090 reviews?
"outriders launched with a lot of problems...."
That's a game
Hitman 3 is a game
Whatever game the third review is on about
sort by scores
i just sum all of the scores manually for the ratings by checking the sites
exactly not that accurate
sometimes they add reviews by comparing games of techpowerup and duplicate the reviews
Uh, that's not just inaccurate, that's just flat out wrong topic
Ngl that site seems lazy to me, scrape the web, slap in anything with those keywords, and done.
i want a red and black AIO cooler so that it will match the case
And also, they're not the only people who are doing that, TPU has had a review database for like 20 years now
exactly
Might have better luck with smth like liquid freezer ii and swap the fans for smth like red bionix fans? Or just rgb and do red rgb
Then why not just use this, more data, actually grouped sensibly
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/
like, my case will be red and black
gpu will be red and black
Ohhh it has pages, not clear honestly didn't even see them i stand by the fact it is a lazy website
Red radiator will be hard to find, so I'm saying black radiator, and have fans like this
exactly
So we're in agreement it's a lazy website with no use on its own?
they add every review in the world for anything
But i mean the og sites have this usually anyway especially toms and rtings
That's not really much use just google xxxxxx review
they are just metacritic of every product available on the net
It's like copying the idea of the tpu review database and not making it useful
testseek = review aggregator
I mean, metacritic is kinda not good sooo
So is this
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviewdb/
But really, a metacritic score system doesn't work for PC hardware, Moore's law and all
Testseek is a review site and review aggregator. The company launched as FMP Publishing AB in Göteborg, Sweden, in 2008, founded by Fredrik Engdahl, formerly Testseek CEO. Since 2019, the company is owned by Open Icecat.
Testseek is a global provider of reviews in all major languages to OEM brands, e-commerce portals, and retailers, which helps ...
you can just search the product you want, and go to the review site that you trust
TPU was established in 2004 at the latest
So why use testseek instead of TPU's database that is better sorted, or just Google?
TPU is not a review aggergator
use techspot, they aggerate reviews better
We explained why what testseek does is not useful for data, and that data can be better found from individual reviews, at which point testseek is nothing more than a database, which TPU had already done
exactly
Okay, we're in agreement that testseek is useless then
i have two questions
Go ahead
is it safe to change the color on a gpu? ex. paint it
secondly, is the msi 1050 ti worse or better than the EVGA 1650
theres a certain way to paint it i believe
and certain paint to use?
1650 is better
As long as you dismantle the gpu and only paint the shroud/backplate yeah, i think car paint is preferred
model doesn't really matter (in perf comparison), 1650 is just better
1650 is a bit better
how about the top of the gpu, the fans and stuff?
after taking it off, ofc
No clue
Could anyone help me with the wiring of 9 sl120 fans? 3 for Galahad 360 and 6 for case
It’s really just where would I put the controller fan header into any fan header or put it on the cpu fan header
SEASONIC Focus PX 850 850W 80 Plus Platinum vs Corsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold what should i buy?
Are all of these good?
Pretty good ye
Yeths
are arctic fans still the go to for budget fans
yas
Thank you guys
could anyone help me to fairly price my pc?
thought about selling it since the prices have gone up
Sure, pop the specs into a pc part picker list
i7 2600, 8gb ddr3 1600mhz, Asus PH-GTX1050ti 4gb OC, 500gb HDD
Fujitsu case
has DVD player
or CD
Uhhh like 400 probs
so should i just get a black one and buy red and black fans?
That's my suggestion because I can't remember any red radiators
Paint is a thing
Yeah but painting a rad
Just don't paint the fins
Gonna be very difficult to actually get red on there without ruining it's effectiveness
yea
Yeah red fans probably best option
Ig you could get a paint brush and paint around the edge maybe
Spray painting or hydrodipping or anything like that would get paint everywhere
That's what I meant, just the sides not the fins
First thing I think of for painting was just spray painting it but yea
Spray paint could work if you put painter's tape over the fins or something
What is 3070 msrp
3070 is that geared for 1440p gaming or 4k
i wouldnt recommend it for 4k, but its possible
keep in mind a high refresh rate 4k monitor is atleast 600$
I got a 4k144 hdmi 2.1 monitor last year
id aim for a 3080
I will wait til mid year they say gpu market will stablize then
its possible, but not super likely
id say late 2022 is more likely but still not highly
6800xt also an option
My cpu probably needs to be replaced
I5 3.4ghz quad core
Late 22 is when the new plants are scheduled to come online. It can take up to 6 months after that to be felt in the market.
Which exact cpu though
yeah def needs a replacement
12400f +b660 good for 3080 at 4k if you dont want to spend much
12600k+z690 also usually possible when considering getting a 3080
an extra 200$ tho
As long as i could do 1080p60 at high or ultra im happy. I got a series x for all other games except for ps pc ports or pc only games
depends on total budget
Ye but possible
but you have a 4k monitor, do you have a 1080p one?
and even so youd need a cpu upgrade for anything even close to semi recent
3060 ti/3070 are good for 1080p/1440p at high and ultra
I have bad eyes and still cant tell the difference between 4k and 1080
3080 great for 1440p high
but you still have a 4k monitor
youd have to sell it or buy a new one
which is fine, just saying
My pc setup is at 4k60 i setup games to play at 720p or 900p
Asking for 2.2k cad
Ive kinda given up on building a pc myself and havent looked into prebuilt options
Oh you're selling?
If you are, unfortunately we can't have that in the server since we can't really do that stuff
Try selling on selling sites maybe tho
Like Mercari and craigslist and OfferUp and FB marketplace, that kinda thing
Ohhhh ok
How do you know if you need to spend 750.00 or 5,000.00 or somewhere in between that for a gaming pc when switching from console? This an extreme nutshelled question but I didn't want anyone reading a book lol.
it all depends on your needs
and your standards
if youre gonna stream you'll probably went something beefy
nah nvenc will stream ez
Thank you very much in advance
dont need anything crazy
but then again you can still stream on budget builds
If you're used to a console you probably don't need super good parts
what country do you live in?
No streaming just want to play games like fallout or gta or the likes in good quality. Maybe some pvp stuff. I don't care about looks but I do care about quality. Especially with the parts that will allow it to last into the future and run in a way that's best for the computer not the game. If that helps. Also I live in Arizona
I mean I do care about it's gaming quality but I figure that would come if I allow the machine to run at what's best for it.
Maybe some upgradeability but that would be far in the future. My last computer was for the family (no gaming really) school and business. It lasted 6 yrs almost 7. My son started gaming on it during covid and it started shutting down with heat errors a few months into that
Sorry for so much posting there's just so much and it's so easy to get overwhelmed
Hi guys, I'm new here! I just built a PC. It worked for a couple of seconds but then turns off and restarts again. Can you guys help me. Would really appreciate it.
It just shuts off :/
Bios up to date?
Any led indicators on the motherboard?
Honestly 5k is too much even for a top of the line pc but 750 -800 is a decent starting price and 3.5-4k would probably be the max obviously performance will depend on how much you're wil to pay to an extent but nvenc on Nvidia gpu's and amd's encoder on the rx 6600 and up mean you don't really need an expensive pc to game and stresm
There's a point where you're spending a lot less on performance and a lot more on looks/nice-to-haves yeah
I find that point to be around 2.5k
The price is okay
But I'd consider this +100$ 1tb ssd or something or try talk them down to around the 2.1k mark imo
@potent portal @fossil cedar thank you. I really appreciate the input. I figured 5k had to be along the line of professional desktops. But I figured 800 might be cutting corners on important stuff like quality fans or power supply. I don't know about those kind of things in this industry. In construction you can't cut corners in those areas and expect things to last. 2k to 3k is what my wife and son said price would be. The IT guys at work said things should be lowering in price here soon but that was just casual conversation. I don't ask about personal IT stuff there.
You're welcome, 2-3k is like a high end stuff so ~800 is reasonable ye
Awesome
looking for a pc to run twitch on, and just twitch.
i already have these parts, though motherboard was used so its quality is iffy
Do you mean just play twitch streams or actually stream?
running the stream
i want a second system thats dedicated to running and controlling the stream
Useless
really?
I see that but whats your main rig?
I see
Yeah no point spending more money
Just use what you have, sell the other parts
its just twitch wants me to pause and minimize my game to go to twitch in order to use the chat box
hard to do a stream when you have to minimize your game
would still need to pause game to switch windows
Suppose
i have a second monitor too.
so just plug second system into second monitor
or is there an easier way that i just dont know about
You're gonna have to get a 5600g, as 3000g processors aren't compatible with b550
Can you return the board?
partpicker says theyre compatible
You'd be better off with like a 10100 or something that way you don't gotta waste the money
"compatible" as in same socket
3000 apus are Ryzen 2000 cpus woth integrated graphics
just a cheap one?
i bought second hand
I mean i guess your best choice is a 5600g
i went to the pcpartpicker discord, but they started cracking jokes about "american consumerism at its best" and made me a high end build with 64GB ram, a 6900xt gpu...
ok
i am running a gen 4 nvme so..
my point
Nvme is backwards compatible
why do i need 64GB ram, 6900xt, etc for a "office pc"
Whoever sent you that is a troll
Hello how to fix if the Harddrive doesn't show up in Windows but I can see it in bios . I already updated the driver also in device manager.
Initialize it in disk manager
Looks initialized already, just need to right click the unallocated space and do new simple volume
Already fixed . Thank you so much!!
Is it okay to ask how to make the downloaded applications go to the HDD so I just use the SSD for booting?
You'll just tell each program to install to D:/Programs or something
Steam you can go into settings, make a new library, and move games
Ah noted thank you so much !!
@potent portal is Asus tuff x570 wifi compatible with 7 5700g?
ye
you already have a b550 why would you get an x570?
Is there any performance deference between it and the 5800x?
Ahhh
Because the quality of the board is iffy
Though I might get like a i3 intel
Intel has more micro-atx boards available
oh right for your 2nd pc?
its barely even worth your while going 5600g
also 5800x has no i gpu
Fair
Well I was gonna put the 3700x in the secondary and use a cheap GPU
Ik a buddy getting rid of his 1660 as he won the Newegg raffle
But idk...
I'm probably just gonna sell the b550 and go intel
you would be hardcore spending unnecessary money
Fair
then i'm mega hardcore
Meant in their case
