What’s everyone’s thoughts on this 3080 fe cable I had to make since lianli doesn’t make a 12 pin I had to use Asia horses white 12 pin which doesn’t fit in the preexisting cable combs

You guys have had to look at too many clean builds, so I'll fix that.

Here's my ultra-jank setup I just put together.

It has an X99 board with a 5930k, an AM3 cooler stuck to the top of the CPU, a 700W raidmax powersupply that I wouldn't use in a 450 dollar build, an EVGA GTX 480, 16 gigs of 2133 ddr4, and to top it off, it's using a 17 year old Raptor drive with windows 10 on it.

Bonus points for LED IO shield?

So I figured out the lighting (and wallpaper) can change if triggered by an application - for example if I open up Spotify all of the lights and wallpaper turn to a sound activated theme of green yellow and blue. lol sorry for the duby chillstep, it shows the light effect better than Steven Wilson would lol

Not sure what happened but my entire post just poofed. So, to sum up, In Win V508 case sleeper, I7-11700F, Asus Strix B560 Gaming WiFi mobo, 32 gb oloY 3400 ram, XFX Thicc 3 Pro RX 5600 XT, 500gb WD Red SATA m.2 SSD, 2tb WD Blue 2.5 notebook HDD, LG MODISC dvd-r, replaced 90mm case fan with Be Quiet! Pure wings pwm fans 80mm intake and 92mm exhausts. CPU cooling is Noctua NH-L9x65 with the case's side duct adjusted to sit right above it. Made some more room by using an EVGA Supernova 650 GM SFX psu. Added case stickers for fun.

This thing was a bit of a bear. The 120/140mm front mounts were somehow bent in towards the motherboard tray, making a push setup at the front all but impossible. Instead, I had to flex them back into position and use the short screws to mount the radiator to the case, and the long screws to mount the 140mm fans in a pull configuration. Since I'm a Luddite and I need my optical drive, this was the only way to mount the AIO, and it's too much of a bear to move it now that it's in.

And I can already hear the screaming about how I'm gonna kill the aio because reasons. The pump's in the rad here, folks, not the block. It's at the same level as the top 140mm fan hub. The tank at the 'top' of the rad is just about even with the cpu block.

Also, one of my used Prisma 120mm fans worked, but wouldn't accept an rgb signal. If I daisy chained it in the series of fans anywhere, it blacked out the entire chain. This caused me all sorts of frustration, as I couldn't really troubleshoot it right away. I had to order a replacement fan. I bent one of the JRainbow connectors so I am using the other one for all 4 fans and the cpu block.

This is the start of many mods I will be doing to this old Pelican Computer case from 2006.
This case is set to house a server/F@H PC very soon. I'm modding to add as much airflow as I can to make this old case as best as it can be.
Surprisingly it houses all modern components. Full ATX board space, full size PSU space, plenty space for modern graphics cards etc...the only thing it sucks at is airflow which I'm fixing.

Mini story - built this with the intent of flipping it (Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB, 512GB, RX 5700XT)

After 2 months of not moving someone asks if they can trade this for mine because they like the look better (i5-11500 + 32GB + 256GB + 1080Ti)

Negotiated for them to add $205 on top of the trade, invested $35 back in, redid the cables, and sold this for $1000 :)
