Hello! I was hoping someone could help me with a question I had about RAM in general.

I'm building a new Alder Lake system, and I'm trying to decide what to buy.

I'm going with DDR4 RAM, since DDR5 is MIA right now and isn't worth waiting for.

What I'm wondering is whether or not I should try getting DDR4-3600 or DDR4-4000 instead of the regular DDR4-3200 and try running one of their XMP profiles, or if I wouldn't be better off just trying to overclock some DDR4-3200. Thoughts?

FWIW, I've never overclocked my RAM before. Never overclocked anything before.
