f2 or delete key
hmn that's so weird
show me when you try f2 when it starts turning om
ah heck
i will try one more thing and i hope it will work
the bios might just skip post when it has os to boot into
which is unseen for me but possible
final word removing m.2 ?
yep
oki Thanks For the help
hope it works then
oh yes
make sure it's 3000mhz profile
sorry i was busy
its ok
unless the ram is 3200 then set it like that
it sayz 2933 memry freq
yeah that's fine
still 3000
you should be good to put the m.2 back on now
once you saved it that is
there 3066
ehh, well
dont have 3000 profile
i say 2933 would be best
🙃
i'll have to know the ram's specs ngl
its 3000
okie then that's fine
gpu
thanks !
good
all set
this sure was a weird case lol
i've never seen anything skip post like that
just black screen then windows
:3
oh hey yall actually figured out his weird bios
i had to step out to do some cursed things to an unsuspecting i5-6600K
lmao
yes
tape fixes all
Extract or run?
?
run
yeah i got my cinebench from another source but i cant find it now so foxy should know
yeah lol
extract it
it can't use the files
then once you're done you can run it
odd
Did I do anything wrong
well it's probably corrupted
What should I do
ye
what's the error?
click try again
Just repeats its self
Yeah it’s refusing to delete
Just says working on it
Is there something else I can use
mhmmm
it's downloading it says
just
restart i guess
then delete, it should do
oh yeah there's other ways to test too
just leave temp info software on, and game
then check back the max
hmph
well just don't do it anymore then lol
do the second choice i told ya
keep like coretemp on in background
then run a game
?
Anyone know a good motherboard that’ll work with ryzen 7 5800x cpu
an x570 or b550
hmm
a
i have the x570 tomahawk
maybe the asrock steel legend
aorus elite AX
rog strix b550
Let me try looking it up
Alright aorus elite ax v2 seems to work with the 5000 ryzen cpu
It’s on my amazon list
is gtx 1650 good
no
What country?
Depends on your definition of good but pretty bad value
which is good value ?
Nothing rn
But 1650 was bad value even when launched
Best value will depend on your budget
Ideally a rtx 3060 ti fe but they rare af
my budget is pretty low
And what's your definition of low lol?
300 for gpu .(
300$?
€
You can probs get a 980 ti or 1080 used
ok
I think if you can get a used GTX1060 6GB, its better than a 1650
Yup, difference in at least 20+ FPS
And there's more Vram
Which isn't everything but good to have
i think everything is better than my gpu at the moment
Should i get this kit? https://www.newegg.com/ballistix-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820164196?Item=N82E16820164196&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-20-164-196-_-09212021
or this one?
https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232867?Item=N82E16820232867&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-20-232-867-_-09212021
I’m so close to getting the last part to build my pc, I’ve been working toward this for 4 years and it’s almost here
nice!
I just need the graphics card
pro tip: dont get impatient when assembling. youve waited this long, no need to rush the end a wreck something. Just take it easy and woosa when necessary 😉
Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I need to watch more videos on the subject to kind of recap the actual process of building it
For a ryzen cpu? Ballistix, the gskill is cl18 instead of cl16
alright, that works
Dell T3400
stock 2.33 ghz cpu
Nvidia Quadro FX3800
6gb DDR2 or DDR3 ram
and that setup runs League of Legends and Minecraft java edition rather well.
Also forgot to mention all that stuff is running with Windows 10
and sarcastically a 40gb seagate sata hard drive from 10 years ago as it's page file drive. Just to prevent game lags in Minecraft and League of Legends. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My sff HP RP5800 that I have.
The only modification to that, was adding a pagefile drive
what’s a good site to benchmark and compare CPUs?
3dmark gives a decent idea of gaming performance
the one that charges $19.99?
second time someone’s dished out on it lmao what’s wrong with that site? haven’t used but dk anything about tech
how come
They literally change their weighting on the scores to favor intel
ahh
so is 3dmark the only good one? since it’s a demo i’m guessing a lot of stuff u can do with it is locked behind that paywall
no
you get unlimited access to time spy and fire strike benchmarks
the only annoying thing about the free version is that you can't remove the demo scene at the beginning
Well you're limited in the number of runs you can do per day too
oh really? never knew that
Can just alt f4 through the demo at least
loserbenchmark will tell you that more than 4 threads is a waste and an i3-9350K beats an i9-9980XE overall
But yeah - I should pick up a ton of keys when they're $5 to resell (for $5)
they're stuck in like 2014 and think everyone that says otherwise is an AMD corporate shill lol

What would you rate these specs
yea i’ve got a list of like 8 cpus i need to compare but since it limits how much i can do in a day i’d prob have to wait
(Not mine)
dually noted
Just look at userbench's raw numbers and ignore the % ratings, easy
But if you're new to hardware - yes, there are better reviews, gamersnexus, hardware unboxed, techpowerup
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DmCDGq
Gaming/streaming
3.5/5 from me, maybe a 4 if tuned well
passmark isn't perfect but it achieves largely the same thing as userbenchmark but better
actual reviews are still the best
but sometimes you want quick and dirty number comparisons and that's okay
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DmCDGq
Gaming/streaming
yea very new, from the videos i’ve been watching for the last week the i5-10400F and i3 10100F are two that pop up a lot as well has them AMD ryzen 5 3600 and 5 1600
why not just buy the fans in 3 packs lmao
also
1000w psu for 5600x 6800xt?
Forget the R5 1600
Way too old
Can't go wrong with a 10400f, depends on current prices/your budget
buy a more sensible psu and spend the savings on a second monitor
Cheaper
streaming basically requires a second monitor
I'll keep my moni I have now
the 3 packs will come with splitters
have fun controlling all those fans off of the one argb header your board has
I actually don't need 9
you'll need some kind of hub
well budget went up to around $1.1k from 900 since it seems most of these pre builts would need a part or 2 replaced upon delivery
lol, most prebuilts need the case replaced
the average prebuilt case is a war crime
That and the memory, even if the speed is good they use like 3600 c20 memory
yea most of the cases with the builds i’ve frequently come across are ick, hard to find a good white one , trying to avoid building a whole PC id rather swap a few parts out since no time to build
If you go prebuilt look for models that have a mesh front panel at least, not glass. Those ones still aren't great but they're passable.
If you can I'd try grab a 3080 instead for streaming because the nvenc encoder is better than the amd one
Tbf the arctic rgb 3 pack is still being scalped for like 90$ for some reason
Yes that's a mesh panel
you were streaming control
meant to ping you in general though lol
mb
Oh
best build available rn for $1200?
im not great at finding good prices for gpus rn so just looking for opinions on those things
Best way to build right now is to buy the gpu first.
You could get a prebuilt with a 3060 around that price right now.
any prebuilts you know ?
so buying CPU first then MB isn’t the way to go ?
i havent looked into any yet
not currently, the gpu market is horrible rn
which is why i’ve stuck to pre built shopping
unless you have money to buy a gpu when you see it and buy the mobo + cpu, I'd just hold until you can get a realistic deal on a gpu
prebuilts are best case scenario right now unfortunately
if you see a good deal but can't afford it, it'll suck
my 2070S was $600 and thats a good deal rn
considering the market rn i’d do better to pre built then save and keep an eye on the market for an upgrade if the built needs it
if prebuilts need anything its a better ssd lol
fair enough, especially if you need the PC soon
absolutely not
i caant cook an egg
not at all
101C at 89W?
the gpu is fine
whats the cost of this
what is ABS doing lol
exactly what im thinkin
even the stock cooler should be able to dissipate 80W lol
I just watched gamers nexus say ABS is probably your best choice for pre-builts lmao
they are
the prestigious "better than dell" award
what should i do
idk what happened to this guy's prebuilt tho LOL
took him like 2 hours to get into bios and his CPU is hitting 101C at 89W
what case + cooler you got?
just send the pre-built link
he has an ABS prebuilt
i keep seeing a good two recommended ABS, but reviews ab their CustService or sometimes them putting faulty GPUS in/ DOA is tough
ABS customer service is right here
so yikes
objectively false
*more prone to damage
not necessarily true for different parts
CPUs have been protecting themselves from thermal damage since like 1998
you can take the cooler off a pentium 4 and it'll still run without dying
you don't want to be pegged at 100C but it's not because of damage
unlucky really
that's what I was gonna say but what case and cooler is the pre-built?
having to unmount and remount a cooler is almost as much work as doing the whole build x)
coolers are hell to install, I hate them all
I hate doing both
At least the wiring is done
I hate PCs
so what will happen to me now
death
cmon
Death comes for us all though
fr tho definitely check everything thoroughly
i waited 8 years to get this pc and this happen
honestly, if you're not comfy unmounting and remounting, you might as well call customer service and get an RMA
best case scenario something is just loose
or not comfy doing anything inside
i live outside us
might just get lucky and have to tighten the cooler a bit
probably
send a picture of the case and cooler though
might just be a 5 dollar cooler with 0 airflow
send a pic
we gotta see it friend
looks like a cheap thermaltake cooler
what's the airflow at the front like?
is it a solid glass panel?
you can see the orange logo lol
orange for on fire
imagine its oriented wrong
is that against a wall
is the front of your PC facing a wall?
maybe uhhh
flip it around?
if it's against a wall
its probably blocking off hella airflow
noo
and make sure the exhaust has space to blow air out too
Pictures aren't the best
you see the 3 faans on front there's a glass behind them
so glass front panel?
try what the yellow man said
take off your side panel and check the temps
yellow man
mr1111
the holy yellow man
'yellow man'

lmao
praise be yellow man
pretty racist
...
you made your bed now lay in it
nap time?
is that a magnetic dust trap?
Just leave it
i guess so
you should be fine just removing the side panel
just leave that on there
won't make much difference
t
yeah solid glass airflow
and a cheap cpu cooler
but still remove the side panel just to test if it's airflow
ok
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mpTsdD can someone look at the potential issues in this and tell me what I need to change lol
like this ?
tells you at the bottom
you're fine
So the case and mother board are fine
hard to tell but as long as the whole glass side panel came off
yes but you won't be able to use your USB 3.2 port
i can touch the inside
ok good
yeah mb
Well as long as there are ones I can use
go ahead and run a cpu stress test
Usecase and budget?
Run something relatively reasonable if possible
like ?
Well that is someone’s build from here already
Ocbase is the home of OCCT, the most popular all-in-one stability / stress testing / benchmarking / monitoring tool available for PC
Yeah but what will you be using it for? And what budget?
Bruh what
chrome moment
Everything gaming school whatever and 3k ig
Occt is a virus now according to chrome?
most things are according to Chrome
Chrome makes me mad
go to the three dots, click downloads, click the three dots next to occt and you should be able to download anyways
now it downloading at 200kb
definitely chrome lmao
Chrome can be fun
What about 2k after gpu bc I’ve already got the 3080 ti is there any big diffrence
Ohh 2k excluding gpu owo
1 sec
yeah cpu cooler is probably loose or something
no no
the cpu cooler might not have enough pressure against the cpu
cooler might not be touching the cpu, etc etc
whats the solution
depends on your comfort level really
sad
you could try tightening the cooler
if that doesn't work, you could unmount it and check the thermal paste
i need to check a video about that
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ncjJ68 or 64gb ram or 5950x if you wish
can you send a video about these stuff
lemme see if I can find one
Kinda sad that cooler doesn’t come rgb lol
The 360mm does
Does the 360mm work with that gpu
oh the thermaltake UX100 doesn't have tightening, it's a clipon
Ofc? The aio cools the cpu
Nothing to do with the gpu
It's okay lol
Didn’t even realize what I said until after
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/33WBD3/crucial-ballistix-rgb-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-bl2k16g36c16u4bl this is the same ram as that but black right
Ight thanks
I’m gonna have to drive out to micro center to see if I can get a 5900x
And some other stuff
Only thing is it’s 2hrs away bc of traffic
Just never knew the context of thet dude
Cause people who use that ram are chads
Why they're in stock at b&h
Fair
Closes one to me is like 1 hour up in Tustin
I used to live 15 mins from it but it was way before I was ever into any pc
I moved away from that area when I was like 9
For the longest time I thought micro center was a Cali thing only
Lol
But then I found out there is the one in Chicago like 10 mins from where I used to go to school
Btw wouldn't recommend buying more than a motherboard and cpu or gpu at micro center, rest of their stuff is pretty overpriced
@calm heron in the end, keep in mind, PC is still usable, it's not going to blow up, gaming while the cpu is 90c doesn't really matter, the CPU can protect itself by downclocking, a d you'll just lose a little bit of performance.
the problem is the heat
it smell
like a burning
iron
even whiile playing i can still feel the heat miles away
That doesn't really change, undervolting might help, but heat is still heat, it has to go somewhere, if you have AC or a desk fan you can use to cool the room, that'll be good.
😕
Law of conservation of energy yaknow
you could put your pc in another room
just keep playing ?
well 100c isnt good
you should probably upgrade your cpu cooler
that might help with the smell
im thinking of buying cooler water
what cpu do you have?
i7-17
11700
the 11700 runs pretty hot, a water cooler could be a good option
though there are good performing air coolers too
Nope
doesn't help that the pre-built comes with a 15 dollar thermaltake cooler
yikes
yeah my friend bought a pre built lately and it came with some intel stock cooler looking thing that could barely cool the ryzen 5 3600
sounds like hell
probably just as hot lmao
honestly, is 1440p worth the extra cost?
if you have a 27"+ monitor? yes
I would definitely reccomend it if you can afford it, otherwise 1080p is fine
I have a samsung odyssey g7 32", 1440p is good for the size of it
alright, I think I'll buy the 1440p one then as much as I wanna spend the money I'd save with 1080p on games lol
itll be worth it, likely more future proof than a 1080p monitor
yeah, might as well get 1440p if I'm going to get a 3070
I was originally planning on going for 3060 or 3060 ti if I was gonna get 1080p
but I might as well splurge a little lol
even a 3060 would perform pretty well for 1440p
I have a 6700 xt which performs about the same as a majority of 3070s (according to benchmarks at least) and its good for 1440p
if i get a 1440p monitor now, I won't have to worry about upgrading my monitor again anytime in the future as well
glad to hear, I'll probably stick with the 1440p kinda build then
1440p is going to be the new standard for a while I imagine
thats gonna be weird to imagine
yeah considering 1080p has been the most common resolution for years
it's crazy how far pc parts have come in such a short amount of times
yeah its just such a shame with the stock shortages
I bought my 6700 xt scalped, only way I could afford it was by selling off my previous gpu at going prices
here's hoping that it's not an issue soon
I just wanna get a 3070 without spending 24 hours on PC sites lol
ah that sucks to hear, never good to overpay but atleast you enjoy it
yeah it was definitely worth it
only put in around $150 extra after selling my old gpu so it wasnt a huge expense
yeah, I'm gonna be selling my old PC and I'm hoping that it'll put a big bump into my next build
hoping that I can get a 3070 or 3060ti for msrp
yeah hopefully
any idea if the newegg shuffle is in Canada as well?
QHD is even nice on 24" tbf. I had fair amt of shimming on my old 24" FHD display when I use to use it
yeah higher pixel density is higher pixel density after all
i think it is, not totally sure though
Shuffle is still US only last I checked
What is the diffrence and which one should I get
cant see the packaging well enough
us only
newegg ca might drop gpus tho
Yeah one is long but 1 says 1gbps and the other says 10 gbps
looks like one is 50ft one is 150ft?
the 10gbps will be better
i mean if top one is 150ft the max theoretical speed dropping makes sense
@inland parrot if you dont need a long cable get the 10gbps one, if you need a long cable get the 1gbps one
K
sorry i forgot to say thanks for the help :3
damn that sucks
Mhm
you ended up fixing it?
Anyways, undervolting still an option if you want to
Heat is still heat
Meh you’re not gonna reach those speeds anyways unless you’re transferring data in network.
And then you gotta make sure your routers and switches support 10 gbps.
nah its still heat
but i moved my setup
and put my aircon direct to my pc
it helped a little bit
Nice
its gonna get dusty really quick but that's better than a furnace
Probably not..?
no?
having a fan pointing directly into your PC?
my pc got dusty really quick just from having the side panel off
i will clean it each week if its dirty
Then that's just that
alexa play darude sandstorm
Lol
also i will buy a water cooler, do you have any suggestions
You don't have to
depends on what your case can support
i need water cooler because mine are cheap as hell
If it fits 240mm top, freezer ii 240mm would be nice
if you want to improve cooling you should probably get a better case tbh
alexa play despacito
that glass front is going to limit your cooling
And yea
but swapping a case is more work than doing a custom build lol
Glass front not neatest
Hey you'll probably need to take Mobo out to take backplate off for swapping cooler anyways soo
im really a lazy guy so water cooler is my best bet
i didn't think of removing the front glass
Roboclocker not available yet smh
try it, most cases can pop off the front panel
I bought a bad case with a solid front for my first build because I didn't know better
when I took off the solid front my temps dropped by 9C
@earnest olive you are 100% going to use liquid nitrogen to cool your next pc
Dunno if prebuilts will have same features but could try
had a dust filter over the fans so it didn't get dustier
it's ABS
they use off the shelf components
including cases
@earnest olive it's your calling to buy trex pot now
(cheapo cases don't really care about features usually)
Ln2 pot
why would I buy ln2 when I can just blow on my cpu to cool it smh
Lol
strat
but yeah the front can most likely come off
there might not be an dust filter
but he said he's fine with cleaning it
True
What case?
tryna see sum, so i5-9600K or i5-10400F ? for gaming and light work
10400F has faster 64 core speed and thread counts but 9600K has faster frequencies, don’t rlly know which to prioritize
It's a generation newer
10400f all day
The 10400F has hyper threading
9600K doesn’t
Unlike the 9600
9000 series Intel was sad
Only one that made somewhat sense was the 9900K
The 9900K was the only one that had hyper threading
10400f, 9600k doesn't have hyperthreading, and not on a 3 year old dead platform
But it was about on par with a 3700X
@little osprey what is your use for the pc and what budget?
Nvm you just need help building?
Your post was a bit confusing?
Nope just the 9900k, 9700k was the dumbest chip
thanks thanks, userbenchmark showed 10400F being the most chosen one anyways and now i can see why
cheaper too
Then they don't know what they talking bout

ffffff checking 3dmark
I mean 10400f is a bit better and cheaper and a b560 is gonna be easier to get than a b360
Or even z390
thought we talked about loserbenchmark this morning 👁️
yea i think i misconstrued some advice said earlier
Sips?
Mb this should be pinned kek

which b360 you mentioning ? i see diff brands pop up
Don't get a b360, just get a b560 and a 10400f, which b560 will depend on country
Maybe you should. Interesting video
It really shows just how bad it is. They've literally weighted the scores favoring memory latency first and single core speed second now. It even tells you not to get more than 4 cores lol.
@snow turtle in most countries would recommend the msi b560 pro vdh (wifi) btw
i don’t exactly know how to search this question, but the “wifi” part, that a game changer in any way? an option or best option ?
There's just one version of the board with wifi
So msi b560m pro vdh
And msi b560m pro vdh wifi
Same performance etc just the wifi one has wifi and Bluetooth
ohhh ok looking into it thnx
Np
How hot?
lmao
95c or 95f?
good video thanks for sending
Np
I can't send a picture here
My fan isn't turning on in the case and cpu is getting hot and than immediately turns off
Did you plug the cpu coolers fan in to the cpu_fan header? Also what cpu cooler?
It was nice for the price at the time, HT + the poor ihs/die/TIM design made the 9900k too hard to cool without direct die
I'd still prefer a 9700k with a strong IMC over a 5600x for a personal gamer.
Fair enough i didn't realize the ihs was bad on it, is it diff from the other 9th gen chips?
No, 9th gen in general had a thick die, junk TIM
Tim?
solder
Ahh
You can put 300w+ through a 10900k on water no problem
I no has authorisation
I see
Man me looking at #build-pics it looks so much fun to build pcs maybe when I get job I can build pc and get better at it but rn all I have rn to build pc is PCBS
Would you guys go 3080 over 3060ti for vr title games
Okay then
budget?
Uh I need a prebuilt gaming pc for 1500 CAD
Do you need peripherals in that budget?
peripherals meaning a keyboard and mouse
Keyboard, mouse, monitor, headset, etc
https://www.newegg.ca/abs-ali564/p/N82E16883360194
How's this look?
That's the one that I spotted
Nice
I don't know if it's the best I can have for that price tho
If you're buying from newegg, it is
Could check amazon but honestly I hate their filters
OOF
So meh
But I kinda want the Omen 30L
If I can find it anywhere for like 1600, I'Il buy it right away
i would suggest abs over Omen
^
Oh
Omen is not great build quality
But I like the design of the case
Not horrible, but not great
newegg
Like amazon or newegg
I'm not good with canada
newegg is better than amazon for prebuilts
Yeah I know
Truth
RTX 1660 for 1500$
CyberC4 Pre-Built PC Gaming Computer Desktop Malefic 9 (AMD Ryzen 5 1400 4.2 GHz, Asus GTX 1050 2GB Fans, 8GB DDR4 RAM, M.2 128 GB SSD, 500 GB HDD, Wi-Fi Ready, Windows 10 Pro
For 1300 CAD
thats even worse
That's a hard pass
I know
That's-
Anyways
I guess imma buy this one
But for the monitor
There's too much choices
Monitors I definitely don't do
thats Wideus's section
I know the m27q and that's pretty much it lol
My budget is 500$ CAD ($390 USD)
oops sorry
Ah, perfect
The one monitor I know fits nicely in that budget!
m27q great
But is there any ways to have a good curved monitor for this price?
curved = bad
(personal preference btw)
They round, I don't like round
any good ryzen 5 tier cpus by recommendation?
but also ips = flat
To be honest, laptops are hard to upgrade
but also laptop storage and ram usually fairly easy to swap
Yeah pretty good deal I might have to buy it
hii
i got a question
im planning on buying on a pc like rn
but idk if should got for an 10th gen i5 or i3
cus like im on a budget
specifics as in my budget?
everything
which i3 in what prebuild
what is the budget
what is the use case
which i5 in which prebuild
well im planning on either the 10105f or 10400f
and my budget is ever so slighty under 500 dollars
and im gonna use for it gaming and streaming
10105f and 10400f both have no iGPU, and fitting a dGPU into a <500$ budget is a bit hard
no i mean im getting one just not including the 500 dollar budget
500 dollars my money and my parents are gonna pay for my gpu
Are you sure you'll get a GPU? stock ain't the best atm, and you don't exactly want like a gtx 650
im settling for a 970 for now plus im still in school
i live in malaysia so the gtx 970s are actually pretty decently priced
Malaysia prices make things a lot more annoying
but well, with usd pricing, this is good nuff for 500$
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tWpm68
doesnt intel provide a cooler? just asking
Yes but you can do better
Just get an Xbox series x or ps5 if all you’re doing is gaming
it's optional, but stock cooler can get loud and annoying
PC’s for $500 are not great
i need it for school too
Ah
i see
Honestly I recommend like a used 1650 laptop
Great for schoolwork and pretty good for gaming
i actually found a really decently priced 10th gen i5 but the seller ghosted me :')
It’s also probably one of the best things you can find for your price range for gaming, excluding consoles
i mean id like that but idk much abt laptops cus yk if i settle for a pc i can just upgrade it over time
I mean, 970 definitely isn't bad if they can get one
btw @stoic island for the mobo provided in the part picker i can upgrade to a 10th gen i5 yes?
consoles are just annoying imo on a budget, cost overall stack up a lot over time :p
I mean, any lga1200 chip will fit, would not suggest k skus unless they're cheap since can't oc on b560, but yea.
I mean, check prices where you're at
local markets generally has different prices, so there can be better options specifically in your local stores for cheaper
a mobo that costs 100usd in the US might show up in a local store for 200usd, which can make it a horrible deal.
Then look at the list as a general guide
10100f -> Either 10100(f) or 10105(f) works
B560m pro vdh -> Practically any B560 boards work, hopefully with 4 ram slots and 2 m.2 slots at least
Silicon power 3200c16 2x8gb sticks -> Any 2x8gb sticks that's 3000c15/3000c16/3200c16 or similar
etc

wow thanks
btw is it gonna affect performance if i settle for slower ram
like 2666
yes
instead of 3200
is it a big difference?
GN talks about how much performance it loses here (B460 locking to 2666mhz ram makes the 10400 a bad buy because of the performance drops due to 2666mhz ram)
https://youtu.be/csFwlKgZCzM
We're reviewing Intel's new Core i5-10400 CPU and benchmarking it with 3200MHz and 2666MHz memory, mostly vs. the AMD Ryzen 3300X, 3600, and Intel 10600K.

This benchmark and review of the Intel Core i5-10400 CPU looks at Intel's cheapest available 10-series ("10th Gen") CPU. There...
i just found a really good deal for 10105f XD
it can be a good 10%-20% performance difference
ohhh i see
example chart from gn
oh wow
ill just stick to 3200mhz then 😅
i wanna show the deal i got but i cant send pics 😔
ye, make sure to grab b560 board and not b460 board, since b560 doesn't lock you to 2666mhz
for now
gotcha!!!
so goin AMD better choice?
wat
where did I say that
that statement is for a very specific situation
and the existence nowadays of B560 makes Intel nice
oh btw
how do i check for anything on second hand parts to make sure it isnt faulty
no im asking in general, like in comparison to like an i3-i5-19 to a ryzen 5
need to test them in-person if possible
and the problem is that you can't do that with PC parts, every model differs
:(
if the question is 11400 vs 5600x, it goes both ways, 11400 (when at msrp) is usually cheaper, offering very similar performance.
But if the question is like 10600k vs 1600x, 10400 will slap the 1600x
The cooler will fit a certain socket
Most coolers will fit lga115x/1200
some might need brackets
some might just be mechanically incompatible
this is what i get confused on when researching, 10400 shows good stats with 1600x not rlly far behind, difference would be prices of both ig
1600x not rlly far behind
what kind of benchmarks are you looking at
dont remember wouldnt have been 3dmark i think it was a diff site
i found a id-cooling se-224xt will that work?
does reducing High settings on games will make the cpu cooler and less ustage
uhh
se-224-xt could work
very much depends, with frame cap, maybe
144
maybe
i found it for like super cheap
oki thanks ~
looked up 10400f review, clicked the second link that popped up, went to 1080p gaming charts, and just on average, 1600x kinda not close to 10400f

zoomed in slightly with 1600x highlighted
tbh prob shouldn't have used tpu's long as heck chart but I like tpu for relative performance chart for laziness
anytime i search tpu all i see is stuff popping up about thermoplastic polyurethane
looks like search engines can understand tpu to me but it's techpowerup
ahh searched that instead and now i see that
anyone rlly good with pcs?
so as a starter build for gaming and maybe light video editing, is one not worth it? https://www.newegg.com/abs-ala237/p/N82E16883360101?Item=N82E16883360101 |||||https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FBK2DK5/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_glt_fabc_BK6KGPQQVK95RKB2037S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It’s okay
both meh?
both wacky
a 1650 at nearly 1000$ is a no from me
and the second one is just cpu and gpu fine, rest of system wack
just ask your question
that question is like doubting people's knowledge here kek
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/kLx2ht what do you guys think I should change
4000mhz ram won't run well unless you're lucky and do a lot of tuning
I suggest just going with 3600
And get 4x8 kit for guaranteed stability
And if you're getting literally two ssds that are 1tb, it's better off you just go with one 2tb
Sk Hynix doesn’t have 2tb
huh
Well then Imma look for alternatives to it
Imma change it up for ya
The O11D doesn't do well on air by the way, I suggest do case swap
I believe sk Hynix is the fastest ssd on the market, at least that’s what I’ve been told
But if you insist, I won't stop ya
It's one of the best value more like, not exactly the fastest but up there
Yes ik that, I might not even do an airflow build anyway, might just custom loop
Yeah that sounds about right
Does the ram have to be white and rgb?
Nah
Price doesn’t matter too much
White ones has no price on pcpp
kk
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/P48bBc @little osprey
I did my best with it
Yeah the ssd seems to actually be cheaper than other 2tb drives alone lmao
Thanks
yep
So pc on desk vram temps are about 88c-90C I have my pc on the floor rn bc I wanna get it out of the way so I can get my old monitor off desk easier
Pc on floor and my vram temps are 100C

That's
Ik it's sus right
Not how it really works, in that context we speak of
Oh
Heat in the case
Yea but what's different from floor to desk
Oh
You get less dust on desk too
But floor is same as desk something underneath of it
8 gigs of ram 🥲
Weird, but just keep it on the desk then lel
I'm pretty sure there's not that much dust in pc
I just put it on floor
Will do
it's 1099 bucks with a lot better specs
