How did you make the installation USB>

You need to download this and run it, let it install to the USB drive. Then, when it boots from the USB drive, you need to format the HDD/SSD/NVME and choose GPT partition instead of MBR. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

If you just download an ISO and burn it, you get the issue you have with the "media error"
