Theirs a red error led next to vga on the motherboard and GPU fans spin but no display output does anybody know a solution

Typically means GPU died

Pull it out, clean it, reseat it in the slot. Double check power connections

I'm switching for another build so I'm pretty sure it's not dead

Yes it really the same biuld but we just switched the case

So you took everything out of one case, put it in another case and now the red VGA light is on?

Check to be sure all of your motherboard standoffs are installed in the correct positions. If you miss one or it's in the wrong spot, that can cause issues

Also check the power cable, those are the most likely issues

I checked cables and they don't deem to be loose

Check to be sure it's the RIGHT cable. I've seen people use the 8 pin CPU cable for their GPU before. Assuming you have an 8 pin GPU
