@charred herald Right now, the two main platforms are AM4 and LGA1200 (socket wise), AMD and Intel. AM4 has been around for the last 4 years, and Zen 3 is going to be the last generation (Ryzen 5000) on that platform. LGA1200 is for Intel, it's been around since last year, and it will have one more generation on it (Whatever Intel 11th gen will be), an additional generation on top of the 10th gen (That 10600k I put in the list)
