Idk what they are called exactly
But does it come with I think sleeved cables?
I think that’s the name for them
Cause I won’t be using extensions and the stock corsair ones are horrible
Uh I’m on phone one sec
Wdym corsair has great cables
I did not care for them
At least on their good models like the rmx
Found them hard to manage
Hm
But I’m just super bad with managing cables so again could be me
Felix knows abt cables a lot better than I do
You'd probably just want cable extentions atp though
It’s possible to get sleeved cables that go directly into the PSU right
See if that works
chat where can i buy the Sapphire Pulse Rx 9070 XT online, i wanna get it quick, amazons my thought rn
Your guess is as good as mine
It doesn't launch until tomorrow at 6 AM Pacific time
I will say that Amazon is a bot paradise, they don't do anything to stop scalpers
If you're near a microcenter that would be ideal I think. Best Buy in person maybe.
If you try to buy online you'll be fighting bots that can checkout before you've even loaded the product page
i thought i was 9am
also there’s like no micro centers near me, nearest is 22 miles away and they’re not even open tmr
maybe best buy
actually
maybe newegg
actually a better question is how can i buy it as if i was a scalper
Many of them write their own codes and have had years to optimize them
They have the timing down to the millisecond, plus or minus a few for network fluctuations
@frank frost
@potent portal @mossy venture how bad a deal would a 6800 XT be new for 7900XT pricing?
Like legitimately new in box with full warranty
Buuuut it costs as much as a 7900 XT
hell nah
@mossy venture what sites should i target to get those models?
It's an ASRock one too lol
Like it's somehow still stuck in inventory and nobody is buying them cuz they're not getting discounted
This is unironic sadly
Now if they dropped it to ~7800 XT pricing
Which would be a 30% discount
U bet it'd go fast
giant ahh gpus wtf
30000+ feet
@cyan ravine any idea what sites to look on for when buying the 9070 XT tmr?
this is a good 850W psu right? good for 5700x3d + 9070xt?
my main question is how good is Warranty Support? is XPG a good brand?
yes and yes
got it tysm guys
very
to the return it goes
where did you buy it from
it arrived like this? did you buy open box or something
Was hard to open
That’s wild
@mossy venture yo, what sites should i be looking on to buy the 9070 xt tomorrow? i dont know any reliable sites
i know newegg is one, amazon is one. what else tho?
Am I right in that it's worthless to buy a super high refresh rate monitor if you don't have high fps?
Like playing 144fps on a 144hz monitor is the same as 144fps on a 540hz monitor?
B&h adorama best buy
yes
Not 100% the same, but yes mainly
although if you were to upgrade in the future, then you’d put those hz to use
Oled 240hz will always look better than 540hz IPS too
what about qoled
😎
Oled qd oled and woled are all close enough to be grouped into that statement
this cant be fixed right
adorama only got built pcs, but would amazon and newegg be good places to camp for the 9070 xt?
probably
you need to be very careful
about bending them back
it’s gon take a lot of patience
pretty sure you just needa use a credit card and a mechanical pencil
Adorama does not only sell pre builts
Literally any site is fine
Respectfully please don't ping me 4 times asking the same questions you've already asked multiple other people
got it ty guys
Don’t bother
I mean you can try
But if you mess up, you may just be OOL
I mean it's not going to be any better if you don't try lmao
He said he was shipping it back so
Highly doubt it's worth it to try and sell it with bent pins
Oh wait did that happen in shipping
Ye
Would some be willing to help me build a pc for 1k that is upgradeable
just need a parts list im not very tech savy
Do you have a microcenter nearby?
idk i live near OKC Metro
Cpu and mobo are $330 together on newegg, a better mobo isn't a bad idea for upgradability but in $1000 you either cut corners somewhere or you get an underwhelming gpu for the budget
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, SAMA 3509 ATX Mid Tower
Cpu also has a free 1tb ssd
Let me find a gpu link
A770 8gb, nothing crazy but decent
https://www.ebay.com/itm/126976335903?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=I8ORr0BxSt6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=r8em-zv_qyc&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Gpu market is very dry atm
9070xt comes out at $600 tmrw, but thats well over budget
Also a pretty big step up over the 7800xt at $500
Otherwise id look at the used market for a 2080 ti, 6700xt, 6800, 6800xt, 6900xt, 6950xt, or 3080 12gb/3080 ti
Some other decent ones but those are the main ones id bother looking for
Did anyone go for the new gpu today ?
The 5070?
Its a hard pass from everything we've seen
Worse than a 4070 super and is over $600 everywhere
I have two 7900xt lol the Best Buy order came in today but I am going to return that one . The new egg 7900xt bundles arrives on the 7th. If I can get the 9070xt I’ll give the new egg bundle back
Thanks sorry just saw this ping lol
What does ool mean
Out of luck
Buying the Gigabyte AORUS ELITE Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB Video Card
Good luck
gigabyte is poo poo
get the Sapphire Pulse
I wonder if people will line up at micro center tmrw, high wind, rain, and cold temp
why don’t they just buy it online
or both works, but people don’t wanna wait for it to be delivered
im prob guessing
pretty sure they’ll have a higher chance in store than online
idk
and you don’t gotta wait for shipping
damn
@mossy venture which is better? the 7900 XTX or the new one coming out?
Woohoo, got certified has a good choice.
what’s got certified
My choice of the graphic card
Got to nitro + to nitro to huh that
mind linking it, bc im scared im not gonna get the one im eyeballing
im eyeballing the sapphire pulse
Me staying awake (even if I work at 1am)
i dont think it comes as soon as it turns 12:00am
I honestly kind of meant like this
Same
Xtx by a tiny bit. It's also not in stock for a reasonable price anywhere and when it was was $820+
cuz like that might be my backup if i am not quick enough to get a sapphire pulse or any model of the 9070 xt
damn
I would not pay more than $725 as long as 9000 series launch goes properly
also have u heard they updated the spreadsheets
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18eQRucHX41A-O4OsoV96Qw2gFw1Qs2N7f6qQQs3kXx4/edit?gid=0#gid=0
im still wondering the eastern time launch of the sapphire pulse
ima cop ts so fast
oh shi its 8am
I'm sorry if I've asked this before. I have slight dementia and sometimes my memory isn't what is used to be. My computer has, occasionally caused one of my two monitors (usually the one playing video) to go all white, or grey or even black for a few seconds, then everything is back to normal. Even less frequently, it shuts itself off. I've looked at my wattage through my backup power unit and it seems fine, but when the computer shuts off, it happens, obviously, so quickly I don't have time to see if it's high or not. I have a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 core processor 8/16. My motherboard is a Micro-Star International B650 Gaming Plus WIFI (MS-7E26, I have 32 GB RAM, two 1.8 TB SSDs and one 3.6 TB external SSD. My Graphics card is Radeon RX 7900 XT (20.0 GB). My power supply is a MSI MPG A750GF Gaming Power Supply Full Modular 80 Plus Gold Certified 750W. Could the power supply be too weak to run this system? Do I need to upgrade to a 1,000 W power supply? Or, my symptoms have nothing to do with the power supply and some component on the motherboard or graphics card is going bad?
Best way to tell is to test it and see what happens, either download OCCT and run the power test or use Furmark & Prime95 to get your system to draw as much as it possibly could, and see if the symptoms show up under the condition of pulling as much power as possible. If not, it's possible that it's a driver or software issue of some kind, and you can either run through windows troubleshooting with dism and sfc, and/or go through using DDU and then using older known good drivers and see if the problem persists.
Um, I have no idea beyond download OCCT what you said. I'm sorry, I get confused easily. Where would I find OCCT?
google occt and it should pop up?
ah, googled it. 😄
and with my limited knowledge it would be save for me to run this?
Individually sleeved is the term you're looking for then
ah gotcha
do PSUs come with cables like that
Some do
any 850w-1000w units you could recommend that do?
i am trying to get away from corsair 🫠
you can always go with cablemod as well (http://www.cablemod.com)
True, or moddiy
Yes, OCCT is just the equivalent of the worst case scenario while running your PC, it wouldn't add any risk relative to just running demanding applications on their own. It helps you find problems by helping you simulate worst case scenarios.
@cyan ravine think u could help me out with this
looking for a psu that comes with sleeved cables like this
Lian li edge gold
oh wow that looks really cool
has a fan hub too? interesting
would that require me to use their rgb/fan software tho
Need 1000W+ for that
thats what id get lol
for 150usd thats not bad at all for me
plus my birthday is coming up if i get any money id use it for a new psu
put it towards ig
Any recommendations for hardware diagnosis and repair across NA?
There's no technicians in california so i gotta get this pc workin asap
describe your issue
ty, ill look into it and some reviews
He's tried
I'm guessing it's just that complex at this point
I don't think there are technicians specifically
@azure tartan ask fal he might be able to help specifically if you're up for a repair service
Ima stop fwd'in. Ya get the point
an alternative is to build a new pc but that's very expensive
Ye, i don't want to spend $1k for gen 5 parts
well the thing is
We don't know how much the technicians may charge
if there are any
I would rather let my parts run as long as possible before "upgrading" for 10% preformance
I'd say
try a local pc repair shop
I don't think you need an electrical engineer to fix your pc
just someone who's willing to diagnose it
Or fal
or fal
Eh... kinda. Alot around don't know how to recover data.
I went through 5 shops before 1 person actually recovered data
Have you checked disk health?
it depends on the situation
@potent portal do you see this
He has
I mean, if most ppl don't know data recovery, how'd they gonna know what hardware is havin issues?
Having a second set of parts makes it dead easy to find the problem child
At least provided the problem isn't ridiculously convoluted
I know we've been back and forth for ages here but it's different in the hands of someone who knows their trade
meme doesn't work
If you don't trust that, I am not aware of anywhere except a micro center personally
They do check out PC's for what it's worth from.memory
there are specific things you can do if you know your way around linux but I'd recommend just getting a professional to do it
Most pc repair places are local business
I got a PC upgrading question.
currently I have 16 GB ram (2 8GB sticks) 3200MHz,
A friend had an extra kit of 32GB (2 16GB sticks) 3000MHz
what would be thr pros and cons of switching and would it work to put all 4 sticks in my system in any configuration?
The pros
48gb....in a miracle
The cons
Ruined windows
Games don't run
Windows needs a full reinstall
Games are stuttery...is the normal outcome
TL;DR don't mix kits
It goes wrong 98% of the time
Thanks! wasnt sure how much the speeds would make a difference but looks like more capasity is better
If you want more capacity just use the 32 and sell the 16
If you need even more, sell both and get a 64 kit
Never mix unless you know they're effectively exactly the same underneath (No, this doesn't mean "both vengeance" I mean electrically on the stick itself)
For the 9070xt launching tomorrow, is there a big difference at all between all the brands? powercolor, XFX, etc.
if not, should I just go for the cheapest one?
Sapphire Pulse is likely your best option
But yeah whatever is cheapest unless you specifically want one card
Sapphire and XFX should have atleast 1-2 MSRP cards hopefully
got it ty
we are talking more about it in #graphics-cards as well
also, ive heard some people recommend not to get the 9070xt gpus that use 12vhpwr connectors becuase it might lead to some issues?
o i see
3 cables better than 2
they said
for balanced load
the ones with 12vhpwr connectors wil be above than msrp anyway
plus its a bad connector
avoid it if you can
the only two with the 12vhpwr connectors are the sapphire nitro+ and i think asrock tachi
got it ty
mostly all the aibs will have a msrp model
just depends on which one you'd want
imo sapphire, xfx, and powercolor are the top 3 radeon brands
if you have questions id direct them to the guys in #graphics-cards rn they are smarter than me lol
Cheapest
isn’t it the same thing
Hopefully it's just sites dying
If only they can actually be ordered here too lol
If you're trying to get it to work with something that's sold out on the storefront that you added to cart, it won't be there, Newegg doesn't hold in cart
Good luck
is 750 overprice for a 9070xt in white
It's high
On the side of not really worth
But vs what's actually available it technically still wins
Which is the awful part
Good stock
How is new egg on returns
I have a 7900xt bundled with a psu that should arrive tomorrow
eh
looking for pure white
Only xfx swift for 600
If it's not there then that's the one
They're selling out everywhere man don't hesitate
on mc its going for 750, 150 upcharge
bro my local micro center has at least 100 in stock
i’ve seen 25+ in stock on almost every card
I’m going to try after work see if they still have stock
But I’m worried about my new egg order
Is new egg good with returns ?
should i get a msi or asus 5080
Pretty similar to Amazon I believe, 30 day returns on most items
the entrance is on the other side 💀
(not my pic, found out online from my local mc)
Good GPU for 1080p-1440p for the Ryzen 9 5900X?
I was planning on getting the 9070xt but I might have to wait longer... just looking for alternatives
dont get your hopes up on anything new, ever. since companies just mass sell to scalpers and they wont sell to legitimate people or do anything about it. there seems to be a massive stock of 4060's available everywhere. guess no one wants one.
Yeah for sure. I know its only the first day of release. I just know that if I didnt get one at release id probably have to wait a while for it to be feasible again
and I think they’re going up in price too
i dont see it ever being feasible again unless nvidia and amd get their 💩 together and quit releasing like 500 cards for the entire world
Yeah its bad rn... but im on a 3060ti so looking for any good opportunity to upgrade... I
i have a 3080. just stick with the 3060. aint no point trying to upgrade. but like i said, the 4060 is still massively in stock everywhere. best buy near me has like 5 of them that they cant get rid of and they're only like 300 bucks
"only" 300 bucks for a card that's about as good as the 3060, sometimes even worse due to less vram
my microsoft store hasnt worked ever since i built this pc
tried many solutions nothings worked, anyone have any idea why this happens?
when you set up your pc you mustve forgot the “microsoft chip for specifically the microsoft store” silly you, common mistake. a short term fix until u get the chip is every time u open the microsoft store, run to a nursing home and get naked and then it’ll work
you might be able to get more specific help in #windows-ios
he also has a 3060ti so... it'd literally be a downgrade
honestly at this point used and refurbs are some of the only rationally priced options
now with even the 9070xt going up in price
there's also the b580 but 🤷♂️
intelphobia is real
budget? are you fine with refurbished/used gpus?
can i send you dm have a part list need to know if its a good buy
Send it here
I keep dm's closed, we have a bunch of capable people here for advice
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Radeon RX 7600 XT, SAMA 3509 ATX Mid Tower
Ok I'll tidy it up
i do need a wireless wifi connection is the big think
(wifi is wireless)
@rotund perch
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Nc66Kq
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 7800 XT, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
Best I can do
It barely scrapes in 1000 but you minmax the build within an inch of it's life getting much better performance out of the gpu as possible
If you could do 1200 I could make it really good, otherwise there's a couple options at about 900 or 700 with a 7600
The rest is bleh
There's really not much good going for about the 1000 mark rn
What about refurb 6950XT?
If it's able to fit in the above for less sure
$489
Costs slightly less
It's not much but it could help round the build out
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
Swapped the ssd for a c910
Still $17 under budget
helped a ton
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8MZzHW
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, Radeon RX 6950 XT, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
@rotund perch ^
$10 more but BIG improvement
Absolutely massive improvement
oooo
Refurb 6950XT clutch
Though the stock is a bit sketchy
The asrock I was looking at yesterday is gone
But for now the msi is still here
anyone got any recommendations on safe, reliable power strips? (preferably one with alot of slots on it, 8+ or so)
I know APC is a reputable brand for power stuff but beyond that it's hard to say
o
Honeywell is pretty famous
The good manufacturers usually account for that by just... Not making large strips
Idk if they're still making strips
It's easy to overload your standard 15A home outlet with that many ports
yeah im not that knowledge about power, i thought that power strips account for the amount of power needed, deciding how much it needs, based on the outlet its plugged in and stuff
We generally don't talk much on this cos there's very tough standards on power if you buy off the shelf of a hardware
Well it won't account for people plugging two microwaves into one strip
Generally speaking most stuff is fine
dont wanna burn my pc and house down lol
Just don't buy off temu or aliexpress
Yeah
Those things are actually risky
Buy from off the shelf
Just for the love of all that is sacred don't buy one from Amazon
in person?
Yeah go to a store imo
In person in stores
any recommended trustworthy stores in cali/us?
SoCal? Microcenter
2 australians giving you advice here
Uh
What fal said
dont got that lmao
Lol
Best buy isn't bad
Just any normal hardware man
got my 9070xt from them
Yeah best buy
Don't overthink it just buy from a brick and mortar
Brick and mortar are generally safe
So wait, a power strip that has a lot of slots on it is bad?
I should use two? using the two slots on the outlet?
Not necessarily
Ooh the Santa Clara microcenter opens soon too ya know
Going overboard can trip your breaker
It's just that most of the high capacities ones are made by sketchy companies
yeah i wish they did before 9070xt launch (opening late 2024 my ass)
It just means don't run more than rated amp per circuit
Ikr
It's fine if you only use low power devices
But the manufacturers don't engineer for niche situations
Now they say Q1, and Q1 is almost over
Fine from a reputable brand*
Solid
So, 2 power strips, in two slots of the outlet, better?
Yes
got it my man
Do not ever daisy chain
Better but still make sure you're under 15A max load
This is so redundant on it's own
u know how to calculate that ? or na
Do not daisy chain *at high amperage
based on whatever parts u use
im as knowing as a donkey in the 1700s groveling in the grass
True
Daisy chaining itself isn't dangerous if you use a tiny wattage
Yeah you can find the amps for each device on the power adapter, AC input side
Half of my devices are low powered
got it, so just add them all up, all the Amps that are listed on the cables?
under 15 Amps good?
Yep and that'll be your worst case scenario, full load, which you want to keep under 15A
15A in total for the whole outlet? or just on one power strip?
15A for both sockets on the outlet
Whole
Yeah so if an adapter says 20A, that doesn't mean 20 is safe
All parts need to be 20A
House included
Lol
Yep, there's 20A circuits but the building needs to be wired and fused right
That's not even all of them
I have a second strip
And a usb c charger connected to my other outlet
Those all look like 1-2A or less to me
Yeah that's the annoying part
Inb4 one is 18A
All these low power devices are taking up all this power strip real estate
2500W PSU moment
95+ gold
@cyan ravine yo build boy, after having all the pc parts, do i just get cpu thermal paste and im good for the build?
Should have it with the aio
oh the aio comes with it?
Don't need to buy more
whats lcd
I suggested it
Cos gt clones
Mhm
Ok you can relax now
Lol
All that's left is building and there's a million build tutorials out there
And manuals in the part boxes
Just don't click on the verge build guide
what if i mess up the parts
That's hard to do tbh
Yeah it takes a massive skill issue
because i was extremely fragile while handling my cpu and gpu today
I mean use care but you don't need to be worried as long as you're patient
what if, i drop the cpu on croncrete about 4 feet, theoretically, would it break
Nah you need a serious screw up to break things, like dropping the CPU onto the motherboard pins
That is a skill issue
Croncrete
im good then, i just maybe thought even my fingerprints or sweat/dust on my fingers would mess with the parts
Nah
Not unless you were sweating buckets mate
I mean as long as you're not pressing onto the pins
Technically yes but on a microscopic scale
There's a reason this pic exists:
(Don't worry about grounding)
I got a few vids that are relevant, hold up
ima eat the thermal paste
what does ground yourself mean
It's gross
Become one with the ground
Kiss the floor
No basically it means you ground yourself so static doesn't damage the parts

Just how dangerous is static electricity to your PC? Are ESD wrist bands just a "big tech" scam, or are they a necessity to protect your much-loved gaming rig? Linus and Ele...
Air pipe and underground urself
In electrical engineering, ground or earth may be a reference point in an electrical circuit from which voltages are measured, a common return path for electric current, or a direct physical connection to the Earth.
Electrical circuits may be connected to ground for several reasons. Exposed conductive parts of electrical equipment are connected ...
"ground yourself" wha, you mean sit on the floor and make it?
You literally attach yourself to the electrical ground
Traditionally you'd wear a wrist strap that's connected to something metal while the PC is plugged in
Rub socks on carpet = static
do not daisy chain *unless you do proper load calculations and make sure the total load does not exceed the capacity of the strips and circuit
See vid 3 I linked lol
Someone will read that and still cause a house fire
yes ima take the second one as the tutorial and then also read my manuals, that is my plan
i have 2 words for them
"HAH LOSER"
"Skill issue"
also i thought yall said its not easy to mess up the parts
static is real easy to make
i can rub a balloon rn
It's not that common
See vid 3
ill go watch it rn
You cannot kill it with static
The chance of static actually damaging anything these days is very low
It's still super interesting lol
Unless you're actively trying to kill it
so i dont needa worry
whats the point of even inventing the term static killing the parts
LOL
if you stick your rod into the ground would you also be ground
Even then, they took the static wand directly to the parts while it was on and they still worked
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qHVDmC
the tax was like 200
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, Radeon RX 9070, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
which is CRAZY
i could have bought 64 gig ram with that tax
I'll take 48GB over 64GB any day
i mean, there are some stuff sensitive to static, but also back then stuff were a little bit more likely to be killed by even a small power surge
nowadays you don't need a surge protector unless you get bigger than just power flickering/brownout power outages
though a whole home surge protector is always a good idea
💀
Market moment
Ok fine ur right
like
I don't think we're getting the old market back
💀
I miss the 1.5K 7900XTX builds
i've linked the context elsewhere
"Back in my day we used to be able to build a decked out 7900XTX pc for 1.5K
Tfw a 9070 non XT build is 1.8K now
We truly live in a society
Oh that list had a monitor
Ok there is hope
1.6k maybe... If lucky
anything would be better than that 1.3k 580 build
well, 1.1k since it includes monitor
I wonder if you can get a 9070XT at $750
If I were to build a pc rn
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, Radeon RX 6950 XT, Lian Li Lancool 207 ATX Mid Tower
This is what I'd get probs
Copium
Hello can someone help me out with a part list
Budget?
Use case? (What do you use the pc for?)
USD?
Yes
The budget includes the monitor?
I already have the monitor
It depends
Seller

Just need an upgrade from this dusty 4600G
Idk why the Psu cables are colored like ketchup and mustard but
Yeah
Hmm
Here's an idea
You could upgrade your current build
Do you have a parts list of your current specs?
I can try to make one
Sure
lol
old psu classic
its not an old psu w/o ketchup & mustard cables
Part List - Radeon RX 6950 XT, SAMA 3509 ATX Mid Tower
This is what I have rn but it's over budget
Random prebuilt PC https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XwmFYd
Probably not accurate
But it’s just what I seen inside
Absolutely not
hmm
Oem?
Yeah I wouldn't count on upgrading
I need
A new pc
Can’t be a dollar over 1000
😔
yeah that's a bit tricky hmm
Maybe a couple months ago but these prices
Are you ok with the pc not being upgradable?
Does GHz matter
It doesn't directly translate to performance
Maybe
Like the gpu cant be hogtsddd either ?
Upgraded
You can upgrade the gpu
It's just that you'll be losing out on upgrading on the cpu side
Plus you'll be on ddr4
.
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700, Radeon RX 6950 XT, SAMA 3509 ATX Mid Tower
Second draft
$2.75 over
Gonna shave it down
Oh I don't need that cooler
Have you tried soaking it in milk? It'll definitely fix the cracks
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 5700, Radeon RX 6950 XT, SAMA 3509 ATX Mid Tower
ehh
Not the worst list I've made
Considering the current market
@drifting pebble
if i currently have 2x8gb ddr5 ram 5200mhz and i will add 2x16gb ddr5 5200mhz is there gonna be a problem? Or will it work out?
Ps. Motherboard is msi b650 gaming wifi
Mixing is like the worst thing you can do on ddr5
The spec wasn't made for 4 sticks, they changed that last minute
2x16 is much better?
Thank you
Any recommended brand ram for that motherboard?
Cheapest 2x16gb, not corsair we usually suggest any kit that is "CL32" or lower
So for example patriot has a 6000 cl30 viper kit for 80$
I can’t even find lower than cl36 on amazon.
Patriot viper 2x16 cl30 6000mhz
^Here
Newegg is 80
Sometimes it's amazon, today it's newegg at the lowest
This the $80 amazon kit rn

Both will work exactly the same pretty much
You can run the second one at 6000 and it'll work like the vipers
Check this out on @Newegg:Patriot Viper Venom 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000) Desktop Memory Model PVV532G600C36K https://www.newegg.ca/patriot-32gb-ddr5-6000/p/N82E16820225315?Item=N82E16820225315&tpk=1
Is this cl 30?
Oh canada
I see
It's 36 but here

Just pick from these 3
Thanks i actually found on amazon which is much cheaper with free delivery. Thank you for your help i appreciate it 🙏
All good man
They don't pay me to get you to buy newegg
It matters none to me lol
Amazon got a stellar cs
I use them myself
Well i got my prebuilt on newegg
Top tip
Don't sell the ram that it came with
Leave it packed away
When you have an issue with that pc or if you do, pop it back in
Take the new ram out
Now it's normal again

I did say sell it, but not worth that for losing the warranty tbh
I will still check if mh wilds will play on 16gb if its fine then i ll leave it on 16.
Alr
Just looking for solutions if it doesnt work out. Thanks tho i appreciate you taking your time giving me answers 🫡🫡🫡
Np lol
yo chat, 5700x3d ($270 rn) or the 9600X ($229)?
is one better than the other by that much or no
also the 9600x comes with Monster Hunter Wilds so...
If you're definitely settled on Wilds then that 9600x is compelling
Just note that game is disgustingly unstable
thankfully for me, its been nothing but stable. It did get a couple of updates recently that i can only guess helped stability issues
That's the thing, no one knows what makes it unstable apart from frame gen
You can have any rig any spec and BOOM
Crash central
Lmao
At least the pics are funny
Game has a serious frame pacing and aliasing issue at it's core tho, it's been thoroughly picked apart for performance now
oof i dont even use fak- i mean frame gen
You shouldn't in wilds
Added latency
bro this is wild (LOL), the only time ive seen this is at the character selection screen, character T-posed for about 5 seconds the texture on the character also was ps1 era for about 10 seconds then it hasnt happened since
i've also heard that its really only for cards that can do great frames naturally. not really used for lower tier cards like the 4060 or 3060Ti
Absolutely
You want a minimum framerate for framegen
And that alone ruins half the point of it
you know, gotta be like Jensen and his 5070 = 4090 for 549 shpeell
facts
Nvidia famously claimed that the RTX 5070 is as powerful as a 4090 for $549. So today we put that test to the claim, including an analysis of whether DLSS 4 multi-frame-generation allows the 5070 to match the 4090.

First minute is gold lmao
I loved GN's 35 minute video of just doggin on the 5070
5070 lookin like a windows 98 screensaver
Lmao the 9070 xt leaks mid video
Absolutely killed me
"We see the 7900xt right here. This GPU is important for reasons, check back tomorrow to know why"
LMAO
both Steve's are right in the fact that the 9070 non xt should have been 499 or even 449. and the xt should have been at 549. That would have been no brainer moves.
Amd -50 Amd lol
The performance is there to mildly justify it but it's just not the right thing to do
It sends bad signals
Just look at the 9070 stock
1/3 as much
Yet msrp was easy to get compared to the xt
Hard in it's own right but easy
The 9070 is 12% slower for 9% less money
It makes sense at $540 honestly
But the mindshare ruins the idea
They should've had two cards more broadly apart
ahhh gotta love the hivemind thats the shareholders
The 9070 could've even been cut down more
gotta give them club money for some reason
Fr
I got one anyway so I'm satisfied
I did that almost purely to support them being price aggressive again
Didn't need a card lol
Gonna sell the 6900xt to a good home and it'll serve as a trophy
There was a great perspective someone had yesterday
That the 9070XT is like Nvidia was years ago with the 1080ti
$600 for high end performance really broadens the perspectives a bit
thats what i did with the 5700xt and 6900xt. granted i didnt like the thermals of my 5700xt which is really why i swapped to the 6900xt. now the 4090 is just a beast of a card in all honesty. havent broken 65C yet in any game
fr though, it makes me a bit hopeful for a rug pull like AMD did to intel with their 7800x3d
Their success over the next 2 years will tell tale to it
We won't know yet
One thing is for sure they will probably give us another generation at this rate
They sold REALLY well this launch
im building a new pc for me and a buddy. For my buddy i originally ordered a new PSU cause i thought that was dead cause it kept tripping out then one day it stopped turning on. So i ordered him a new psu mobo ram and cpu. Now im thinking it was just a mobo issue. thats the hope anyway
im curious to know the skus of what was supplied to retailers and such. obviously they all sold out pretty much instaneously
How about that
Turns out the msrp is here to stick
lets hope so, watch in the next 6 months or so that the prices from AIB's drop to normal prices again getting a sapphire nitro+ for roughly 700. would be sick
when i picked up the 6900xt i got it for 800
Note his words
"MSRP will be encouraged"
So they will incentivise it but no guarantee
They were like 950 here 😂
Cost as much as my xtx, hell nah
LOL
sheeeeeesh i guess i got a good discount on mine lol
I think mine is the nitro
shooot i dont even remember now
I was aiming for a reaper tho but bots got all those
Hell the swift looks like the best msrp one
unsurprising
They were nowhere
Paid a little more for pulse, I'm fine with that
its crazy to me that the 1080Ti is still going for 750
Consider it a donation to good prices 😂
true true
for real bro. reign Nvidia back in a little
This year of gpus has disappointed me so I decided to focus on bringing the rgb back to my build so I coped 6 agrb TR C12C s and one that wasn’t argb
C12c are good
I hadn’t been able to clean my arctics for a few years now and want color and it was significantly cheaper than p12 argb
i do like me some arctic fans though. However, im surprised at TR's Frozen prism. heck of a price to performance
Go enjoy the thermalright quality
Plus signal rgb yea $15 for 3 pack and one $4 fan
You'll be surprised how nice TR makes things for cheap
The quality on them tho
Like man
How

I want their upcoming aios with curved screens similar to tryx
you can cop their frozen prism right now for 60 bucks US
They'll likely get to that, they only just brought lcd aios to usa iirc
Ahh
Got the lf2
They've been running them for a while but* usa adoption is slow
Man I really can't adjust to this new phone keyboard
But partner has prism in itx build I made them
Same
I went from a cheap tcl android to iPhone 13
Gonna be honest less than $300 and brand new
I got a free series 6 watch which I enjoy more each day
I want pro max for lidar but they didn’t have any
I bought my brother a 16e cos the launch price was better than 15 and 14 used prices
Understandable
Aussie market is screwed up rn
I would’ve for myself as well
I considered it too, but my galaxy watch don't work in iphone properly
So I went S25
I wanted to pick anything other than the samsung but thw market cornered me into it
Me too, and I paid a lot at the time lol
Want to continue to use it
2:04am for me
have fun with that
Looking for some new build advice. Wanting to replace a laptop and a desktop with two desktops, and was planning for a full AMD build for both.
My Laptop is an XMG brand based on the Clevo system, and has an i7-6700k, 64GB DDR4, GTX980 8GB (180W), 2x M.2 NVME, 2x SATA3, WiFi 5/BT4, TB3 and a 75Hz 1080p G-Sync panel.
I don't play high end games, I think I have one game with a minimum spec of a 1000 series NVIDIA and that's it. However I do use Photo/Video/Audio editing software, and do wish to get a colour accurate monitor for doing that. I was looking to replace this with a 9800X3D and maybe the new 9070XT, but I'm open to other ideas.
The desktop is mostly used by my Dad for general daily tasks, it's much older with an i7-860, a Gigabyte P55A-UD6 motherboard, 16GB of DDR3 & a GTX470 with 1280MB VRAM. It wouldn't really be used for gaming, but it would do some photo/video editing. I feel like the 9800X3D is overkill for this but would probably prefer to stick with AM5 since it's the current gen. Likewise could probably get a lower model of GPU than the new 9070XT and be fine.
Budget wise, not sure exactly, but certainly would like to spend less than £4000 combined, ideally including one new monitor (monitor on the desktop is an older Samsung 120Hz (Dual Link DVI) or 60Hz on HDMI with 3D on HDMI with active glasses). I already have two 2TB Samsung 990 Pro's AND two 4TB Crucial P3 Plus NVME drives (one for each new PC) but some additional SATA slots would also be required.
why are we downvoting this
Not sure tbh
im curious if a 7900x/9900x would be worth the investment
also idk if amd would be the better choice for workstation stuff gpu wise
i think nvidia gpus are faster in photoshop if i recall
same for video with stuff like primiere pro and resolve, and i doubt audio is really impacted since its light
although not sure if price to perf rn is in amd's favour or nvidia for that?
resolve works about the same? with amd
premiere likes nv more though afaik
is it? resolve is superior anyway imo since it doesnt cost anything + has more user applicable tools you can download
premiere just really aint worth the cost unless that money is pocket change to you
its 35/month if i remember right
i would even recommend buying it because it adds hw encoding and multi gpu support
though it has everything you need in the free version
and pretty much everything you would want in the paid version
isnt the paid version a one time as well?
yes
unlike adobes goofy ass subscription lmao
im perfectly fine with people not financing adobe bs
idk what alternatives people use for photoshop tho other than uh, cough, not paying for it
there's a few options, the most photoshop-like free clone was photopea
though it's missing a bunch of features
for drawing, there's kirta
i use krita
oh yeah can't forget about paint dot net
its pretty good
just huge learning curve
actually, massive learning curve
almost blender levels ngl
honestly photoshop is still really one of the only good fully featured photo editors, but i prefer davinci over premiere pro
especially considering that premiere pro used to be the cheap clone of a different video editor
good old avid media composer
pretty much how i feel
like 10 years older than premiere pro
Just hopping in to say that Resolve is awesome
imagine if at your job you were the primary person responsible for all adobe products and resonsible for fixing all the problems that come with their products because their support is non-existent
definitely not what i do for a living....
That's when you VPN buy and get it for a cheaper price (idk if still works but used to)
