@obtuse laurel No money can change hands in this server
right so are u gonna help me or what
I'm not at my PC so I can only do little things right now
i’m having 2 main issues,
- only 1 of my 2 daisy linked fans are working (thermaltake)
- my radiator fans are getting rgb and fans moving but the cooler itself is not getting rgb and im not sure if its even on (corsair link h150i rgb)
1, switch the fans and see if that helps. One fan may just be dead.
2, Corsair sometimes doesn't turn the RGB on until you run iCue
iCue can also tell you fan/pump speeds so you can see that it's working
it’s a new build i’m not sure if i can boot into windows to see icue my friend
i can’t daisy link other fans
i literally just don’t know where to plug in my fans
i don’t have a hub
Hey bacca thanks for the list does the mb come with enough fan headers?
The RGB is the least of your worries right now then. Wait until you have software installed to worry about that.
I meant switch the two fans you have daisy chained with each other and see if the one that isn't spinning, starts spinning
Yes, you only need 3 since the front fans chain together and the CPU cooler fans chain together.
i’ve fixed that
but i’ve ran into a new issue
Thanks so much also does the ram have enough clearance to fit
You can shift the fan if needed
Like the fan doesn't need to be centered on the heatsink
But you could also move it to the back
Oh like a bit up
1 x CPU fan header
1 x CPU fan/water cooling pump header
2 x system fan headers
1 x system fan/water cooling pump header
For the mb can I plug in the 2 fans into the cpu fan header?
The two cooler fans
The CPU fans will chain together so they only need the single CPU fan header
It's only a dual tower
Motherboards can only do so many per plug
Ik, just in case it's a question later tho
Might consider one day putting 7 on one which is dodgy
Alright so the three fans in the front go into a system fan header, then the two fans on the cooling can go into the cpu fan header, then the fan in the back can go into a remaining fan header
Correct
Rule is stay under 1 amp of current, and each fan says how much it uses ( e.g 0.3A or 0.3 amps per fan), you add them together
Some headers can do more but would be stated to do so
Do the fans come with the rgb connection too?
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
I am looking at this list btw
I believe everything is good I don’t need any kind of splitter or anything
The front 3 do chain, I checked
Thanks
Would that be 4 fans?
Yes if the current on them isn't high
So under 0.25A or under 3W
(3 watts divided by 12 volts = 0.25A)
Sorry I might be overcomplicating lol
Yeah it's easy stuff
It's convenient but only if we don't overload and melt the header so it's good to think about this
pc keeps randomly turning off, i just built it today, i took off my cooler reapplied thermal paste and made sure it was tightened well
whenever it turns off the rgb on my fans stay on but they won’t spin
also whenever i restart my pc the rgb on the 2 fans stays on but it won’t boot unless i turn off the psu and wait a bit.
i’m thinking it’s the cooling but i’m not sure honestly
Sounds like you haven't plugged things in correctly
Take videos and pics
You have the perms to post now
what could be plugged in incorrectly
Hey guys, I have all the components for my build. Just missing the SSD and the GPU.
Regarding to this last one, I'm quite torn between two deals I found. A 7900 GRE at €470 and a 7900 XT at €600 (both used but less than two months old).
Would you justify the €130 difference here?
My target is 1440p at max settings (possibly).
Another thing to consider is that for €600 I also found some 4070 ti. Should I even take it in consideration?
I kinda like RT but in all honesty I'm not very excited about those 12gb vram. Feels less "future proof" than the 20gb of 7900 XT or even the 16gb of GRE...
I'd get the GRE
But if you can afford the XT, then by all means
Go for it
4070ti has frame gen and better rt but
Radeon also has the same feature lol
FSR 3 with frame gen, with the option of modding DLSS games to run as FSR 3
Or just enable AFMF
I'd much rather take the extra vram over the nvidia features personally
How is FSR 3 compared to DLSS? I heard it's really good but some say the quality of the image in some games lacks quite a bit.
Nah, they're the same
They have their own weaknesses, but overall it's a mixed bag
I see. Thank you guys for taking the time to clear some of my doubts 🙏🏻
Fsr has less games that support it I think
But that's coming from my knowledge of a bit after it first came out
Hi all
Sup
Is there a way to control fan speed if the fans are connected to the psu ?
Maybe a software ?
Oof thats loud
I have 1 system fan header on the a520 mobo
Will this support 4 fans in 1 header ?
I have like six on one header (actually, I keep mentioning this to other people. But I think my splitter has a SATA connector to help with power 💀)
I will use one like this
Do you have the link to that one?
A photo isn't good enough for me
bruh idk. you found the photo 💀
Yeah it would work. I was expecting some of these 4-way splitters to have a SATA connection for power but I guess that's not common. You should be fine running a 4-way fan splitter from a single header
Crazy that your motherboard only has one fan header lol
gotcha lol
Always something missing
Makes me want to reconfigure my fan configuration lol
I should get L Connect with an L Connect controller (I have Lian Li fans)
Man but I have like 9 fans already and I still have a bike to pay off
Why do you 9 hhhhhh why ?

someone help me find the best laptop specs worth for a buck for my father. he's a senior engineer. he always uses Autocad and always leaves tabs and programs open in the background basically multitasking. and his budget is 3000 aed
I have the option to buy a case with auto fan speed but i dont know if it will turns loud
sounds like a scam tbh
I will go with the hub and normal case
The motherboard can handle that lol
I have FanControl handling the speed of my fans lol
You can really feel the heat exhaustion coming from the side fans when you're standing next to it
Now its summer 💀
I think I really want some new fans though now that I'm thinking about it. The back side of my PC is a mess and I already know which fans I want to go with to resolve that issue lol
Fr. I can stand next to my exhaust and it won't feel any different
Just hot everywhere
About to get three sets of these now lol
https://www.amazon.com/Lian-Mirror-Daisy-Chain-Design-Customizable-Controller-White-UF-SLIN120-3W/dp/B0B4SKMYJT/ref=sr_1_3
I built with them for a friend yesterday and they look sick (and they're super easy to build with)
Does your dad mind shopping on newegg and using international shipping?
$100 at Micro Center wtf 😩
Wich one ?
I think Montech makes a dual-chamber like this too if you want something a little more budget/value
Oh okey
It's like I might as well go with Amazon 💀
Man now we have a black tax
Wait I could just print my own fans
lmao
It's a refurb but this is as good as I can probably find
Don’t settle for stock: Don’t settle for stock laptops when you could spend the same on for a great hybrid gaming machine. The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15" is just what you need. Or go a tad over budget
pc keeps randomly turning off, i just built it today, i took off my cooler reapplied thermal paste and made sure it was tightened well
whenever it turns off the rgb on my fans stay on but they won’t spin
also whenever i restart my pc the rgb on the 2 fans stays on but it won’t boot unless i turn off the psu and wait a bit.
probably not though but can you recommend me one?
I've just sent you some links above
Any bsod or no? When does it shut off?
it’s an overheating issue, my cpu is on 96c with a cooler on?
i’m super confused
What cooler, what cpu?
ryzen 7 78003xd, corsair link h150i rgb
Check to make sure your pump is plugged in, otherwise make sure you're using the right bracket for the socket
that’s the thing
corsair link doesn’t really have a pump plug
it’s like
Uh
a daisy chained water cooling
Sata power?
i don’t think there’s anything for me to plug in there
If it uses a hub, make sure the hub has power, whether it uses SATA or something else
@potent portal so I found out that the motherboard has 3Addressable LED Header, 1RGB LED Header, do both the case fans and the cooler fans need that one rgb led header?
More cases and coolers nowadays use argb fans, and would use the 3 pin argb header instead of the 4 pin rgb header. They typically are able to be daisy chained too.
Can you double check that the 6 pin is plugged in? It might be the reason for the temps
Thanks
Just double checking, is the Corsair link cable that connects the hub to the aio plugged in? Illustration shows it plugged in on the right but I don't see it in the pic
Looks like it might be, just with a 90° cable
it’s tucked away on the left side of the picture
u can see it
oh hey an ibanez guitar
whats the average price point for a small form factor build?
i dont see a ps120, only the se
there's an se and an evo
just want something i can take on the semi with me for my down time when i'm not working without having to carry a full size pc around with me
depends on what you put in it, it can range from anything from fairly cheap, to quite expensive
idk what the cheapest sff build you could do is
Maybe a laptop would be more economically viable
im not worried about cheap but i'm not tryin to spend another 3 grand again either
idk if there even is an average price point for any computer type, because of the range of applications and performance requirements
easier to guesstimate with performance requirements
also how small you want the case to be
idk, lunch box sized ig
because there are larger sfx builds, and smaller and or slimmer ones
hmm
lunch boxes kinda range quite a bit in sizes as well LMFAO
i dont have a size in mind. idk where to even find a small case. i've seen pics on here a year or so ago
i know that isnt helpful either. i cant seem to find them in the build pics
Choose A Case
Give us a pic
Read the manual first
I did
this size seems to be acceptable. maybe a lil smaller.
idk where the one i seen before went to. it was barely big enought to fit a gpu in tho
#build-pics message
It looks like it threads into a screw
But shouldn’t there be screws in those holes? Or do I just place them there
There should be screws
I think it should
Velka cases used to be kinda popular for some example cases
https://velkase.com/
it looks like your backplate might not be there?
ok forget it
yeah i was gonna say but doin like 5 things at once right now
yap
i think thats actually the case i seen on here a while ago. might go with that. micro atx board for it? never built one of these so
the thing you were holding was the thing to mount the cooler lmao
you put the cooler on then you screw those onto the posts
isnt what hes holding just a standoff to mount the cooler to?
considering the knurling, no
Yep
That goes on the back right
yes
do I take the white stripes off?
no
okay
yes. but also gonna have to unmount your mobo to get that on unless your case has enough room for you to pop it on.
there is plenty of room
Just to make sure
Dont take the stripes odd
Off*

i am anxious bc my previous cooler broke down and I don’t want to mess this one too
I have to unscrew that right?
😭
shouldnt have to. but also why are mobos 200+ dollars now wtf
you're looking at the wrong stuff
if you're shopping for am5
all you need is a620
oooooooo. i see. i was lookin at intel boards
tbh
i don't wanna recc intel atm
unless you buy locked boards
there's been the whole cpu killing shenanigans
What’s a solid card for maybe $150-$175?
used 6600
i was quickly reading about that a while ago. isnt that only on the newer i9 cpus though?
well then
do you have a micro center near you?
thats super unfortunate since i have exactly that in my desktop that i'm on right now
there's am5 bundles
no. maybe i can find one when i get back out on the road again
there's ways to prevent that damage
which is to update your bios and run intel ref spec
or not, if you're lazy
just set it to intel's base
aw ok
no micro centers in florida and if there are any, none that i'm gonna use my personal car to drive to lmao
13th and 14th i7's - i9's
still am5 is worth every bit of cash to buy into
i have a 13700k on a z690
grats
Yes you should check more info on this then
I know of multiple confirmed cases of dead 13700K's
no
do you have links on hand to articles about this?
oh you already did it
To 13700K itself? No, only forum comments
But if you want intel shenanigan articles check #cpus-mobo-and-memory
There's a few in there
So I just figured out that if It tightens then it’s where it’s supposed to be 😭
The dead 13700K's are all from people chiming in and reporting over time from places like OC.net
ill have to try and remember to skim though later then. i'm pretty pressed for time to get other things done
As long as you remember to follow spec in the intel sheet then you'll be fine
Hell even a mild undervolt may well be enough tbh as long as you avoid sustained multithread
The key takes are current voltage and temperature
For a 12100F that's basically waterboarding
Is that bad?
Did you take the screws out of the mounting bracket holes

I would think so yeah
this is so confusing bx the damn manual has this picture
These have holes so it should crew
screw
It's tightening now?
so I took it off and placed them agaun
Yep
Should I keep tightening until it doesn’t move?
Or how much is enough
Yes tighten until no move
it wont work if it misses one pin?
Nope
i am dumb?
It's meant to have 3

💀
Yes the second one in a splitter will only have 3
But it basically makes zero difference
LOL
I’ve been waiting for the package to arribe a whole week
My i3 was running 100C on league

2nd most abused i3 in history
Thermalright ps120
WAKE UP
it's the tachometer
2 pins for power, 1 pin for tach, and 4th pin is for pwm
6600xt*****
whenever i download a game my cpu temp shoots from 65 degrees c to 85-91 degrees c.. anyone know why exactly??
new build?
possibly a bad cooler mount
i dont think it's missing thermal paste at least, and also probably not a plastic cover still on the plate? this sounds like a bad cooler mount
to resolve this, take off the cooler, check if there's a plastic piece on the coldplate, and if there isnt, put it back on and fasten the screws evenly
also make sure there is good thermal paste coverage
if you have extra thermal paste, i'd recommend adding some more, a day old build shouldnt really need you to clean off the old paste
which rgb software do u recommend
openrgb
would my corsair keyboard work without icue?
icue consumes way too many resources for no reason
same as msi center
If it has onboard memory yes
it works with openrgb
i.e runs your buttons without icue open
Might need a custom profile or smthn
You can also just remove msi center after programming with mystic light in my experience
It won't remove the rgb service or shouldn't
I uninstalled it long ago
I will restart and try again
anyone know good usb fans? i want to create an "air stream" for my my server area, and i have a usb outlet next to it
wdym by this
instead of plugging computer fans into my computer, pluggint them in to converter or just already be set up for usb usage
i mean the "air stream? part
suck in air from one area and pushing out another
usb cant provide enough power for any fan of substance
sorry if used the wrong terms
well, yeah, i know what a fan does, but what are you trying to achieve with this exactly
bummer, i dont wanna use bigger fans. but i have an area with electronics i wish to have the fans help cool
how hot are the devices? usually convection should be enough for low wattage like, IoT devices
things with more wattage draw will require something of more substance like a few pc fans to pull fresh air in or pull hot air out of the room, or a larger fan, like an inline duct fan or something, plus the fans on the devices themselves
and a large heat output may require a heat pump
you could get a usb step up converter to 12v with a fan headser on it, so you can power a pc fan with it, but i dont think those can power more than 1 fan per usb due to power draw?
assuming the usb "outlet" has the standard 5vdc 1.5a output, that would be 0.63a assuming no losses in the boost conversion (which is never the case)
hmm i guess ill have to look at something else then. i wanted something constant. since im not at my home that much to overlook it.
so yeah 1 fan
you can get a 12v power supply that can do a few amps, and connect a fan cable to it, so you can connect a few pc fans
but i dont really think there's a good solution for using usb to power a fan for cooling your electronics
Can this be improved
I7 14700k
Msi z790
4070 super
Crucial p3 plus 500gb
Cooler master masterliquid 240l
Corsair RM750e ATX 3.0 750w 80 plus gold
Corsair vengeance 16gb X2 ddr5
are you already owning that
I would suggest against a good bit of it
Please suggest any improvement
this sounds like a 4080super build if some fat can be removed
exactly
can almost fit a 4090 into that budget lol https://pcpartpicker.com/list/j8vx34
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4090, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
idk how i'd like that psu+4090 combo but it might work
4080 super list instead https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bFMNCd
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower

Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Solid list
Eagle ax was $140 last I saw
And I'd spend extra $5 for bfg 850
so something like this? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WhpsGP
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
Nice
Yooooooo
slightly different 4090 list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KfYGCd
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4090, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
I would say stretching 2.5% is still within budget
For 25% more gpu
Or really if they could wait for best buy to drop one at msrp it's under 2400
I'll leave this for reference, not recommending as the ram is without xmp
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PfKmsh
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 4090, SAMA ARGB-Q5 MicroATX Mini Tower
I wish it was for me
Hmm ig 4080 can fit in
Looks good
Let me know if you want something changed
I have the ssds so I won't be needing that
I was wondering if 4090 is good enough
I find 3080 just got smashed by 4080
4090 for me is 2400usd itself
So won't be getting that
There's nothing more powerful than the 4090 in consumer space
For now, until 5000 series comes out
imma upgrade to a 5000 series when that drops
"But Nvidia is expensive" yeah but my friends all have 4080 Supers and I'm stuck on a 4070 Super
yeah same on 5000 series
or hell maybe amd this time around
according to rumors theyre gonna leave nvidia in the dust this next time around but idk
We'll have to see if AMD decides to compete harder now that nvidia is putting less focus on the gaming front
@crimson zinc whats the app to manage gear?
Destiny Item Manager.
DIM for short
Wrong chat btw
This is true
HE GETS IT
@ admin
Make a d2 chat named “build chat 2” thanks
Destiny Build Chat 2
so ig ill go for 4080 super
thanks guys
would be great if i could get some recommendations for 4k oled desktop
display
My recommendation for that is simple. Don't.
4k is in a weird place right now where only the 4090 is powerful enough to push high refresh 4k but it doesn't have the physical bandwidth required to do so without compression. Neither do most 4k monitors for that matter.
Additionally, the cheaper 4k OLEDs in particular are more what I'd consider small TVs in size, 40 inches plus. Not ideal for PC gaming.
An ultrawide monitor would be my suggestion here.

I need one to work
I have a display but that's 55inches
Too big to work with
How about a 1080p good one
1440p is the way to go 100%
What size do you want
Part List
1440 is best on 27”
hows GIGABYTE G27Q comapred to others in the list
thinking of a dual screen setup or more
also do screens exist without Blacklight bleed ?
oh thats no oled
IPS huh
mhm
Oled seems way better after using it
IPS feels faded
Any good screen that i can use as dual setup OLED display preferably
Good
I would consider it the starting basis for monitors atp
I linked multiple Oleds in there
I linked multiple Oleds in there
Not in the US?
No
Any oled is fine pretty much
Unless they're exceptionally good i can get them imported
There's very few oled panels and they're all so comparable it doesn't make much of a difference
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s2721qs not much backlight bleed on this one
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KQ9MkJ
Can someone optimize this?
They already have the 3070ti

Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, SAMA SAMA-Z4 ATX Mid Tower
That's the cheapest I'd bring it
Is a 750 the lowest safe power supply?
Any sub $100 power supply's right now that are worth it? Needs to power 5600g and a decent gpu later nother crazy
It's the cheapest I'd trust with a 3070 ti imo, but lemme check newegg combo deals
Be quiet 750w pure power 12m or bfg 850
Amazon or Newegg
Thank you:D
Does ram have to be white
@restive halo
No, just wanted RGB if it was available
I don’t believe he’ll care if it’s not
I gotchu with a sick price drop
Bet?
Lemme put the list together
You got it dude
Nice. Got it thanks.
Every $0 price is included in the motherboards price tag, it's all with newegg combo up savings

How long do those combos work for?
Not sure
They change fairly often but odds are there'll be something going on when the builds being bought, if the sale is still a thing
Probably
Dude gets paid next week
I assume he’s buying it then
Also I got the build $5 cheaper
Select the 7600 with the other parts on newegg combo builder and it saves another $5
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 7600, GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, SAMA SAMA-Z4 ATX Mid Tower
This is pretty cheap rn too
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JMTZxr/corsair-3000d-airflow-atx-mid-tower-case-cc-9011252-ww
Better quality case, no rgb but can always add fans
Maybe I should look into Newegg build when I can finally afford one
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/D4sdRK
How is this as a first time ITX build?
i mean ITX builds are expensive, can'tt help there
The stock cooler works fine, definitely no need to spend $65
The monitor is also way overpriced, it used to be a good option but there's $200 ones that are just as good now
No reason to get a Samsung 970, you can get a 2TB drive for that price
Here's how I'd build it. You get a better GPU, more storage capacity, stronger PSU... and it's still cheaper.

Pick white.
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 GRE, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
Okay, I like this. But would a fractal terra go with the components?
IM01 is smaller than NR200P and also has a glass attachment if you want that
Fractal Terra always goes with components
wait micro atx case is smaller than a itx one? wtf
Mhm
damn
abandoning NR200 than lmao
Oh mb the NR200p is a bit smaller in volume
20.3L
But IRL they are the same size basically
whatever, it lost my interest XD
Lol
gonna go with terra or IM01
Hey I mean, About 300 short of the highest end with the list I came up with lol
You could technically fit an XTX in this

And the 2nd cheapest XTX fits lol
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, SAMA IM01 MicroATX Mini Tower
Getting a bit toasty for an IM01 tho but it's just fine lol
Welcome to the wonderful world of marketing
Terra is a really nice case tbh, but it's also overwhelmingly small
You're playing to a lot of limits if you went that route
Pop airs are always fine smaller cases
It's a fairly large case why would it be unreasonable
I'm going to build my pc pretty soon and I wanted to know if this build would be any good ?(coreliquid 240r, 32 gigs of ram and the 1tb ssd, 3060 12gb , ryzen 5500, cooler master TD300 case, MSI MAG A650BN Gaming Power Supply, MSI B550M PRO-VDH WiFi ProSeries Motherboard)It's my first build with a little help of my sister who's built some before! any help would be appreciated before I make sure I actually buy the parts 🙏
Drop a budget and any asthetic preferences and people can make you a list
if you can put all those into a pcpart picker list, chances are whoever helps you will use that
i dont know enough to
On pc part picker it says that I may need to update BIOS but idk how hard that is 😭 I’m really new to all this
No all on Amazon and U.S.
But it says they are all compatible
I would suggest changing most of this
What is your budget
comepletely reasonable
It’s a bit complicated because I have 3 parts already because my sister bought me them 😂 the parts are the cooler, the ram, and the ssd but if I had a budget it’s be probably around like 675$ to buy the rest
Ok I can work with that. Give me a few min
I meant spending-wise
If she can cancel the cpu order I would
Oh ok thanks ! 🙏
In the sense that it's not too little or too much spent on the case for a build of that caliber
The 5600 is like 15% better and only $20-30 more
for most lists we put whatever's cheapest but still not bad, for the case it doesn't really matter whatsoever
Also, for the cooler
Do you want an aio? It's pretty expensive for no benefit
Already bought sounds like
you could put it outside on some rocks and it'd still work, the case is just an enclosure so whatever you choose it won't change much
Only three parts
(I brought @deft lava from Facebook)
They don't have the cooler yet

Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5500, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
4000d is a very reasonably priced case, and pretty average in terms of prices for cases, if not a bit more expensive for what it is
I have 3 parts already because my sister bought me them 😂 the parts are the cooler, the ram, and the ssd
Thought they said cooler ram and SSD are already bought
@deft lava
Wait wat
It's like a 1500 dollar rig here, so I think dropping 80 on a case and 30 on fans is reasonable enough
we put 2400 builds into a $60 cases
Well here's the first option
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CH6CYN
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6750 XT, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
At least the 4000D is a known solid performer that's not going to give me too many headaches on the build
for sure, it also looks pretty good as far as cases go
I’d honestly suggest the Montech 903 over the 4000D now
And cheaper
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/yvgVpB
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
I know why
But the 903 is OOS everywhere
Even the basic one
that or the phanteks xt pro thing
It basically disappeared
Isn't that the very new one?
Me with the p360a
it's in most of the lists that are being sent in this server
Yeah those are not yet sold anywhere for me
In your opinion which one should I get ?
(Hungary has like 2 or 3 months delays for new hardware)
ah you're in hungary
At least with stuff like cases and so on
Yeah that tamps my available choices a little
that sucks
First has better upgradability, 10% better gpu, and more vram on the gpu which is nice for 1440p, and will be useful down the line for higher texture settings
Again, the 4000D is a known quality, it's not egregiously expensive, it won't have nasty hidden surprises when building and it has good airflow
903 coming back in stock is better but I fear they won't come back
btw why not b550m pro vdh wifi if the difference is just 4$ and you get better usb connectivity?
Oh fair
and would make the usb-c port usable on the front
Didn't see it was that cheap
4000d is just so bland and overpriced
Comes with two fans meanwhile is still $80-100
It's 75 dollars converted IIRC
Mx330 and it's variants are $45-65 and match that lmao
i prefer 3000d
In the end it's your money, do what you want
So should I go with b550 motherboard instead ?
It's got more to do with it being known and present
Sure it's not ideal but it's definitely not terrible
Let @mossy venture fix the list
I would also suggest to use eBay for used deals
Ok 👌 thanks for the help 🙏
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
There is another route though, with the newegg combo builder
You could get a build that's nearly identically priced but with a 5700x if your sister can cancel the ram order
The 5700x is $170, and then comes with a free 32gb kit of ram, and you can bundle it with a motherboard and psu to get better prices overall
I can put a bundle together and price it out to show you
I have the ram the ssd and cooler like I physically have them I can’t do anything which is what Im saying 😭
Ah alr
Sorry if I’m being complicated 😅
No you're good
You can do a diff combo though
One sec
$230 for 12400f, b660m pro rs, and msi 750w abn pcie 5.0
Part List - Intel Core i5-12400F, Radeon RX 7600, Phanteks XT PRO ULTRA ATX Mid Tower
I thought that intel CPUs were like less powerful for gaming compared to ryzen CPUs ?
Also if you don’t mind me asking why is the 6750 xt 165$ on Amazon and 300$ on Newegg ? 😭
Nope
The amazon price is a scam seller
12400f is a tiny bit better than the 5600, they perform basically identically
There's just a really good sale with that 12400f, mobo and psu rn
Ohhhh ok ok
So are rx gpus better than nividia gpus ?
Currently they offer better rasterization performance for the price.
Far better value until you hit 4070 super/7900 gre
Ok thanks 🙏 also I found the reason gpu is like the normal high price it’s because it’s on sale rn 😭
?
What?
If you mean the super cheap 6750xt on amazon its fake
Look at the sellers page
no it is still over a 70$ case
not exactly a cheap case
people do 4090 builds with it btw @tawny violet
4090 in a corsair 4000d (not my pic)
It’s just looks so plain
Buddies gpu died and he needs a new one. He would prefer GTX or RTX but they are pretty pricy.
His budget can go as high as about $500 AU$. I hate amd GPUs with a passion so I dont keep up with them. is the radeon 6600 eagle any good?
6750xt is also right at $502
He said on gpu.userbenchmark that the 4060 eagle has a way higher score for gaming, desktop and workstation and he can get a 4060 for the same price as the 7600 right now
`UserBenchmark is NOT a reliable source of information and has been blanket banned in many hardware communities such as r/hardware and r/intel for what started as an anti-AMD bias but has spiraled into delusion.
In fact, they tried so hard to skew results in favor of Intel's midrange that they even cannibalized Intel's own high end. For example, according to UserBenchmark, the i3-9350K is rated higher than the i9-10980XE.
For a similarly convenient quick-and-dirty hardware comparison website, we recommend using PassMark instead of UserBenchmark.
PassMark CPU comparison: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleCompare.php
PassMark GPU comparison: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/singleCompare.php

4060 matches the 3060 12gb and slightly surpasses the 6600
thank you, I passed the information along.
So the issue he is having is that he woke up and turned his pc on and it wont display on the monitor.
Him and someone else determined the card to be the issue but my brother had the same exact issues and it ended up not being the gpu and we fixed it without any new parts needed.
We had igpu to determine the gpu wasnt the issue. How do we figure out if the gpu is good or bad without access to another system or igpu?
can't check the GPU any other way if there's no display, but you can check for other possible problems inside without knowing if GPU is working or not
@deft lava those Facebook groups tend to be full of just not very smart people who try to suggest very outdated/overpriced stuff.
Which is why I reached out to invite you here in the first place.
People here know their stuff.
And if they don’t, they consult others instead of bullying each other
U mean clean?
No
Boring, plain, not interesting, other synonyms for boring
Honestly I'd say it's understated in styling
Sure on price you're probably right, but I personally like how it looks
Doesn't immediately scream "GaMeR" in your face
Holy crap the 4000D Airflow is actually cheaper than the 3000D
wth
tbh i wouldnt consider it clean, considering the wiring and how the tubing is
and with the gpu slightly too big so there is only 2 front fans lmao
I think they meant the exterior
idk
I for one really like how the 4000D looks
and I know it's not gonna drive me insane in building
The sad thing is that most of the known good cases are about the same price as a 4000D, and none of the cheap good cases are available here
do you know what 4090 that is?
Tuf
weird
Corsair says the 4000D "Fits GPUs under 340mm with front-mounted AIO and any GPU with top-mounted AIO up to 360mm"
4090 TUF is 326mm according to Asus
Something does not compute
Unless they have a front AIO and extra thicc fans
Yep
I wouldn't really bother with a 4000D imo
So many other options that trump it these days
then what would you recommend instead knowing that many of the new stuff is just not available here
Jonsbo D41
felix
hi it felix it gavin
AP201
Now that is new
i think i am going on a trip to microcenter this weekend with @iron dove
Oooo
might get a H6 if they have it
Get mag fan XFX
Trade it in lmao

Who said anything about it being available
Idk wat ur talking about
i forgot you own a 4090 and a xtx
send xfx a very nice email asking for some and maybe you will get lucky
Ima put the fans in cages and make my pc out of xfx
LOL
ill hold you to that
Uh
Probably MSI
one that makes a mobo, gpu, fans etc
asus or msi yeah
aSUS
i love asus
Oh and biostar
i love quality customer support!!!
rofl
never heard of it
they appear to be mostly NA
It's 2024 and their motherboards still don't know what 13th gen is
Yes I'm serious

lol
Okay I lied @cyan ravine https://ipon.hu/shop/termek/biostar-z790-valkyrie-ver-50/2256534
it's SOOOOO EXPENSIVE though
Yeah it doesn't know what 13th gen is
wat
clean looking board tho
I mean, it also doesn't know 13th gen degradation then
v5.0 does
You'd think so and yes it does read them but read the post about the 690 lmao
well this is the Z790 version
Brother it sets 12th gen clocks to 13th gen chips
You can't set higher clock values it doesn't know what that is
They all use the same uefi LOL
Biostar is hilarious
Everywhere you look they have mid options
apparently they used to be pretty good back in the AM2 era
You can get a biostar XTX, Biostar Z board, Biostar aio
Biostar ssd
The ssd's suck too
I believe they have ram
No idea about psu
No case
Sadge
Welp
HEADPHONES

Oh no they do make cases'
Ooo
a biostar xtx?
Yep
never seen it
You know MBA cards
i am not pc smart at all
They failed at making them too
The whole vapour chamber scandal was biostar forgetting to put vapour in the chamber
I mean it doesn't really matter anyway cos biostar is rubbish enough
No benefit to remembering this
Some were underfilled and others were overfilled 💀
So it wasn't even consistent with the issues, some cards would be fine horizontal and die vertical while others would do the opposite.
I don't even know how you manage that on such a scale tho
That's at least more realistic
As frankly liquid metal always ends badly
See: Any asus zephyrus in the last 4 years
kekw
do the Flow X13s use liquid metal?
Has there been issues with those?
Not yet
But I bet they will
Liquid metal is a bad idea in something that constantly moves around
It's already bad even for a console so
Instead of making better cooling solution
You add liquid metal as a cheap way
Still cheaper to take more steps to apply liquid metal safely than engineering
I wouldn't even complain if the zephs had U skus
Makes enough sense
And asus could just feed it more power under load
The issues with the PS5 are because of the vertical orientation. Liquid metal flows down. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if the console were horizontal. There would still be hotspot issues after a bit but not as much pooling.
The thing with the Flow X13 is that it basically needs to be in tent mode to not get choked on cooling
or on a stand
so liquid metal is probably gonna be a problem later
the problem is that it's probably not super easy to replace it in something like the X13 (but at least only the CPU is liquid metal cooled)
and that a 2in1 that has a decent CPU costs about as much as the X13 anyway
Spectre x360 14 MIGHT match it with an eGPU but by that point you're already blowing the budget out
The problem with the Spectres is that the CPUs have such crap namings that you can't tell which is better
Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga G4 (Ryzen 7 Pro 7730U, 1920 x 1200 60hz IPS, 32 GB memory, 1tb SSD, iGPU) seems pretty good
though it's already priced very close to the X13
Hey guys
Wondering if this is cool
pls dont tell me there are two version fo this psu
and i end up with a lower f tier psu or sumthing
All in inr right? A lot of it can be cheaper if you're buying everything separately
yes separately
just wanna know if this is gud compatble
For example, you can save 7000inr with a different 4070 super
https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-components/graphics-cards/gpu/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-4070-super-windforce-oc-12gb-gddr6x-gv-n407swf3oc-12gd?limit=100
I would advise not getting 2 separate 16gb sticks and just getting one kit of 2x16 to avoid having different dies, although it's not a big problem for ddr5 yet
Can save 12000inr with a cheaper board
https://www.vedantcomputers.com/pc-components/motherboard/gigabyte-b650-eagle-ax-motherboard?limit=100
Can get a better aio for the price
https://tlggaming.com/deepcool-gammaxx-le520-argb-black?limit=100
is there any gud with the board i pciked
?
I'd go with the much cheaper board because you don't really lose much
Still has wifi, all of them have good enough vrms, all have enough connectivity
For half the price
i see
I would use some of the money you save by doing that to quadruple your storage space by grabbing something like this
https://www.pcstudio.in/product/wd-blue-sn580-2tb-nvme-m-2-internal-ssd/
Through Nvidia control panel or adrenaline and set a frame cap there, or by just using v sync
RMe is good
i already have a ssd btw so i dont need it
alright
i hope it doesnt have two vversions
I just thought 500gb sounded very low for a new build
All the RMe versions I know of are good
yeah
i see
so are these specs gud then
will i have to yap about them in a year that my minecraft isnt running or something?
RMe doesn't have a high failure rate if that's what you're talking about?
eh that dont work here
only on aamzon can i break things make vid make money and send back saying it was broken
anyways thanks for the help
will keep u updated on build
You still have manufacturer warranty, you might not have warranty from the storefront but the manufacturer should still provide repairs
So no refunds but you can get replacement/repair while still under the warranty period
I see
Well it should be good
Btw I was wondering
What's the best specs in the market rn
I9 14gen 4090?
Like a normal build
Not like two gpus, open loop cooling or something
For gaming, prob 7950x3d and 4090 for now
