Hey all, I’m looking to put together a system for my sister in law. It’s strictly for work, with Microsoft office, but she will be doing some video editing and Clipchamp calls. The problem with aresgame is they send different units to the 80+ qualification tests than what you get from a retail box, so you could get literally anything. It's a grab bag of parts. Maybe it's fine, and maybe it'll catch fire if it's under load too long.

Nand is generally rated up to 105c, and the controller is usually rated up to around 85c, the SSD won't have heat problems at just 50c

#

If your CPU or GPU are hitting like 95c and 85c respectively, there's a chance that it's overheating and hitting the thermal limit under certain loads

#

There's a decent chance that the freezes and shutdowns are more software related, should prob look at event viewer or smth like whocrashed to check the reason for it shutting down
