don't buy a framework even if it's attractive

in the end you'll end up paying a LOT of money for what is a 5070 gaming laptop

and those typically go for 1.3-1.5k in usd

and for ddr5, running one stick doesn't cut performance as severely as it would in ddr4 and older systems

one stick of ddr5 is technically "dual channel" already

it's recommended to run two dimms tho

but not a requirement

the framework 16 is modular, so you can get it without the dedicated gpu module

but it's prohibitively expensive
