If they make a GPU at that power, then the next step would likely be to make it do it for cheaper to sell more units. Also AAA games would start to drag that power back down as the games would start getting more realistic and things like ray tracing would become far more prevalent I think.

As for 8K, I think that will also be a viable next step as well. Even though we don't need 8K, people will want it anyways once it is more viable and cheap enough. People scoffed at 4K for a while when it first came out.
