If you ask me, the loss of the 8 channel audio options (keep 1 if you like), a good bit of research into proper codec choices and input filtering, and some nice price research on top would take you a long way in a discussion with a consultant. That's a title given to a formal salesman, those types of people will try to sell you something expensive if you don't seem to have a great grasp on your parts choices.

Electrically (And I wouldn't say this if I wasn't trying to offer perspective) your idea seems insanely complicated when people who stream even on dual setups want simple plug and play. It may cover all the bases, but too much, and the additions of upmix and downmix can result in a marked loss in quality if you consider things like channel splitting.

I think the other parts of the interface make sense, there's way too many inputs for conventional streaming, but if you were working with multiple people in one room, it looks excellent.

The cheaper you can make it, the better is the way I see it

The 8 channel part is the bit that concerns me so much because the vast, vast majority of audio in the world is not 8 channel, whether you downmix, upmix or what, splitting the audio like that usually makes it worse not better

If it was recorded and exported as 8 channel, great, but that stuff is so rare when basic device choice is 2 channel

You might have a game or two that do 7.1 native, but most only do surround at best, which is 2 channel virtualising 7.1

I wouldn't speak up at all here if I wasn't trying to offer some level of intellectual conversation and feedback, I'm not an electrical engineer but have experience in a few of these things, enough to know my way around a bit
