😍custom keyboards
lmao the pcb is too flexy and shorts the board out if u press down hard
i need opinions for my first custom keeb, browns vs blues
wut r u gonna use the keyboard for
if its gaming then dont get blues
browns r ok for gaming and typing
if u want only gaming id reccommend reds or silvers
the one issue i have with the browns is supposedly theres not much click
otherwise i wouldnt have had this hard decision
for gaming u dont want click
u dont use clicky switches for gaming
linear is better
so browns for everyday use
do you know how the sound compares to something like the g213
Get reds or browns
if ur gonna get a custom i would highly encourage looking at other switches than just gateron/cherry red and browns
@tight pulsar its my first time so i want to stick with known reliable cheap ones
maybe when i do a few custom builds and get some more money i might try novel zealios stuff like that
eh theyre all equally reliable, but theyre a little more expensive
for linears jwk are like .55 a switch and gateron milky yellows are really good and cheap
i want to get a tactile first just so i can see what the bump feels like as i think most people like them more
for my first "build" im getting
GK61xs
Gateron blues or browns
permatex dieeletric lube
NPKC top printed keyset
Nachos hates browns for being scratchy reds so
@tight pulsar was that comment for cherry browns or all browns
if im streaming
and i have speakers
will my viewers hear the audio twice?
like in the background of my voice
i don't have it yet but im considering getting speakers instead of headphones
cause headphones on too long make my head hurt like hell
i think it depends on the mic and the software running the mic
elgato wave 3 is what im thinking mic wise
im not super familiar with this, but i do know there are some mics that auto cancel out noise coming from the speakers
oh
i doubt someone here is just gonna know the answer, you might have to do some googling around
its not a very common issue
what about bluetooth earbuds?
get a usb bluetooth module for your pc and a pair of sony wf-100xm3s
just a thought, it would solve your problem
it would be nice if you could find a pair of headphones that doesnt put too much pressure on your head
it's not te pressure
it's just sitting there with headphones on for like 4 hours doesn't seem too healthy and it makes my head just hurt
huh, what headphones are you using now?
then how do you know it will be uncomfortable?
i used to use skull candy ones but they broke in like 2 months
if you get proper headphones, something from sony, sennheiser, beyerdynamic, bose, or audiotechnica, I doubt you would find them uncomfortable
steelseries
ok, arctis
lol, grammar+100
those dont look bad
yeah my fav small streamer uses them i think
and he says they're comfortable
ookk
last thing
would you rather have a desktop mic tho?
like the elgato wave 3?
yeah
you should get a headset without a mic
ook
so you dont have to pay for features you dont need, and so the extra mic interface doesnt mess things up constantly
something liiiiike https://en-us.sennheiser.com/around-ear-headphones-stereo-mic-hd-569
HD 569 - Around Ear Headphones with Inline mic - Powerful Stereo & Rich and Clear Bass - Sennheiser Discover True Sound - Top-quality products and tailor made solutions - sennheiser.com
this
hm
ook
here's the thing im not in a rush so if there's any technologic issues i can always ask the streamer i told ya about, about it
cause he uses the arctis pro and an outside miic
mic*
yeah, but windows is always unpredictable
true
and why bother when you could just get this better headset for cheaper
looks cooler and more comfortable imo
np
Imma get cherry mx blues
Uh oh
Cherry blues bad
My personal preference tho
Nothing wrong just like other blue switches
hey, I want to find a new wireless headset. I mentioned in storage-devices on a branch of another topic that I like sennheiser but it is not my be all end all. I don't want any audio delay, quality mic, and the two biggest problems of my current the corsair void pro is they are not comfortable the foam up top is wearing and tearing off the band, a bit heavy, cut in and out sometimes.
I was looking at arctis lines, bose, and sennheiser. But I am open to other suggestions.
Arctis 7
@brisk parcel you around? if you are, could you help @left current ?
Do you guys have any mouse suggestions?
g502
@left current Corsair virtuoso is pretty good
@jovial hound depends on handsize and grip
i like my new glorious gaming model d
I have a pretty normal size hands
Yea but like exact measurements
Oh I don't know that lol
Ok but normal for an adult?
I'm 17
@left current what budget are you looking at for a headset?
and must it be headset or is headphones with standalone mic okay?
Apex 7 TKL vs GK61xs with gateron browns?
(Headsets mean Headphones+Mic together in one)
@jovial hound ok how about grip style
150
usd?
yes
what about the headset/headphone question?
I'm not really sure what you mean by that ice doge?
palm grip op
how many buttons as well? what type of games?
Claw
im none of those
Hey Naed, I know this isn't my question but for the headphones one do you have any headphones recommendation ?
@jovial hound mm711 or xm1
@little crater well, to be fair, you are also a fish ... so .. that is expected
Thank you let me look it up
@gusty magnet hand size?
@little crater well, to be fair, you are also a fish ... so .. that is expected
@amber oracle this is true
i would say my hand is a decent size seeing how it can cover a whole ass g502
my hand could cover a steelseries rival 3 if i palm grip
@left current Hey, can you answer the question on if you need the mic integrated on the headphones for a headset?
@jovial hound dt770/880/990 <- i daily drive the 990 Pro's myself. BUT, they are quirky in their sound scape, as in, they can sound "weird" if you are not used to a neutral sound scape
its not
Apex 7 TKL vs GK61xs with gateron browns?
@daring zenith yeah sorry, I can't at Naed he doesn't pop up with I start typing it. I would prefer the headset to have a mic and be wireless at $150 usd. My apologies, have someone in another discord talking to me about a game as well.
Wireless is going to be interesting to find...
Audiot technica ones
Someone mentioned arctis 7 which has good reviews.
X58 i think
@gusty magnet if your saying optical brown then yes
Thanks Naed, but what do you mean by neutral a soundscape?
i should pop up just fine @left current
I'd still suggest you look at the wired PC37x
@amber oracle discord likes being screwy with @ people in large discords
nah im just asking should i get the apex 7 tkl or build a custom gk61xs
@gusty magnet gk61 with optical brown
@amber oracle yeah my fault i was putting e before a. tricking my simple mind.
ok
@jovial hound the simplest is to search for 990 here in this channel, we (people here) have talked about them a fair deal :)
Naed you got anything for a 150$ wireless headset?
Alright will do thank you
I'm still gonna suggest you look at the wired 120$ PC37x
and you will also stumble upon walls of text from @brisk parcel about HD58x and others
which will also be of interest to you :)
LMAO i can confirm
kk!
@left current if u can spend extra 30$ these are the ways to go https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HKVCVSY/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_aj1EFbZXS4229
have you actually tried those yourself @last plinth ?
@last plinth they want a headset, no mic on that.
and as for 150 usd wireless headset ... no clue tbh @daring zenith
no but someone recommend to me
i can probably go a little higher
dont just "mirror" a recommendation without having knowledge @last plinth
ping him enough
Cloud Flights are based on Takstar 82's so i suggest that. good DSP on those
i am saving on my nvme now lol
my total budget is 400 but that includes the nvme, cyberpunk, and the headset. plus tax ect
nvme ssd?
yeah I think I am getting the wd_black is on sale for 62. then cyberpunk is 60 plus tax so that is already around 130 ish... then I have some other small things I need to get.
so I can probably go up to 180 on headset
Turtle beach stealth 600
@last plinth stealth 600 sucks
ok
A50’s are good but overpriced
as far as "gaming" headsets go the only brands i can recommend are Cooler Master and HyperX because their cans are actually derived from real monitoring cans, they don't make them in house
Would recommend an arctis 7 or a cloud flight s
@left current a recommendation would be to wait for @brisk parcel to have time to respond :)
like the Cloud Alphas are literally Takstar 82 with HyperX coat of paint on it
@amber oracle sounds good, thank you for your help
because most of the solutions i have in mind are out of your budget by a fair deal
What channel
21 of last month
Bruh how long did you have to scroll up for that
Just search
ctrl+f is your friend @proper sphinx
lol
On mobile tho sucks
well, that is your challenge to have fun with :)
It was trash on phone, but they just fixed it
Naed do you have any suggestions on mouse pads? besides buttering and lubing your desk?
How do u oc cpu just change volt?
@jovial hound you certain about the date on that one btw?
On which one?
Artisan pads are endgame
Oh yeah it was the 21st of september
X-ray pads
resistant to humidity and temperature changes. glide will stay in tact
i like xray pads Aqua Control
pretty similar glide to a QcK or Zero
Qck is good on a budget
and yes, that was a "fun" debate @jovial hound and yes, i was personally not remotely serious at that point in time :)
Oh ok lmao
picking deskpads because they look cool > picking one because it is .01% smoother :v
the thing i love about the QcK is that it has no coating and you can pretty somehow renew the glide by washing it
kinda like a GSR
as for pads, custom neoprene ones are imo a sensible thing to do
my GSR-SE coating is slowly wearing off
Custom neoprene?
https://www.contrado.co.uk/printing-neoprene-fabric <- something like that @jovial hound
picking deskpads because they look cool > picking one because it is .01% smoother :v
@tight pulsar i like deskpads but i like to feel my wooden desk on my left arm for some reason
:( naed those are expensive for us muricans
^
inked pads can do custom ones with any image of your choice
similar glide to GSR-SE or Minerva
okay stupid question but couldnt u just buy a sheet of neoprene and cut it out
xraypad be cloning all the gaming pads out there lol
I got mine from them
@proper sphinx you got the minerva?
honestly if i could get my hands on a Artisan Hien or Zero, thats probably it
https://www.mcmaster.com/neoprene-rubber
best website ever ^ @tight pulsar
McMaster-Carr is the complete source for your plant with over 595,000 products. 98% of products ordered ship from stock and deliver same or next day.
@tacit wing xraypad aqua control
@tacit wing xraypad aqua control
@proper sphinx hows the glide if you can compare it to something?
Can’t really compare it to anything other than some cheap Chinese pad that I had from like 5 years ago
But you can look on r/mousepadreview to see stuff on it
Are hyper x keyboards good?
Depends on which one
@tight pulsar obviously the link is from a site i have used, there should be comparable sites in the US
The HyperX Alloy Origins is a mechanical gaming keyboard with a compact design and customizable RGB key lighting. Take it with you when you go to your next event and have your lighting ready to put on a show.
well i have the TKL version of that keeb lol
The tkl is good
and yes @tight pulsar you could just get a sheet or neoprene and cut it, problem is the normal sizes they come in. Doubt you need 10 meters of it :)
their Aqua switches are comparable to Browns, but Browns feel more linear to me
The normal I don’t like full size keyboards so don’t ask me
lol yeah i was thinking more or the 15x60 sheets on amazon for like 15
Lol and I prefer full sizes
i am happy with mine for the price i paid, my only complaint is that they put their usb-c on the right side of the keeb
pretty odd design choice
that reminds me, @tight pulsar you like chiptunes?
the music stuff?
im not a diehard fan of it but its alright

and yes, that is a playlist
i do indeed see its a playlist
side note:
Music from Commodore 64 game The Great Giana Sisters.
Composer: Chris Hülsbeck
the original Giana Sisters Theme
Are 60% mechanical keyboards good? Or is it just preference?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKkmyMKbPKE <- and that is the version you heard in the background the other day
I just upload these movie's cuz i like there music so much.. and there arent much songs from them on youtube
preference as in you dont need function keys and a numpad yes
lol what do u mean by good
layouts are entirely personal opinions, depends on what you need and how much desk space you want
Sometimes a ducky or an Anne pro 2 come under 100
oops not 100
ahh didnt hear the news
I heard they had connectivity issues
Idk tho
Also I got a coupon from glorious “ggsurvey10”
i couldve used that
No sorry it’s ggsurveythanks10
@amber oracle do you know who vinylcheese is on youtube? he does some of the best song arrangements on Famitracker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx-ogfjejwA
Did a thing, yay. Made this yesterday but failed to upload it. I like how it sounds. That is all.

Which one: tomato or tomato?
nope, did not know that one
if you know what the original sounds like on the gameboy, it sounds nothing like this lmao
that it does not, no.
Guess who got their TUBES 😍😍😍😍😍
@left current will help you out after I get some homework done ❤️
no worries
tube
congrats @brisk parcel
Guess who got their TUBES 😍😍😍😍😍
@brisk parcel for ur Little dot?
@tacit wing indeed for ma littledot
a pair of decently hard to find ones too
apparently super good for their price
you'll love them and well
tubes are tubes
I don't know yet
will be buying that amp very soon
2 weeks
how you like the 58Xs?
ok well ive used close-back headphones my entire life and it was so weird putting on a pair of headphones and still be able to hear everything
that was my first impression
but in terms of sound, it does hit different, i have completely converted to open-backs
my M40x's soundstages well but the imaging on open-backs a whole nother level
well if you want a little advice on that soudstage bit
in a month, remove the foal
foam*
yup, most likely doing that mod after i indulge in a bit
also id point out that open-backs, atleast these Sennheisers, are less fatiguing to your ears after long sessions of music listening
i had them on all day yesterday and its like, not tiring? if that makes sense
i couldnt go hours on end on my M40s
@tacit wing what kind of music do you like?
and yes, the "using them all day and not having cooked ears" is the main reason i strongly prefer open headphones
Oo tubes nice
i mostly listen to rock, shoegaze, ambient, electronic, future bass, grimecore, neo-soul and hip-hop. my ears are open to anything pretty much
you should totally follow my spotify 😂 not to self plug but I'm told that most enjoy my music taste
current obession is Noid by Yves Tumor
camellia
i have no idea what any of thoes genres mean lol

Monstercat brings back high-school memories for me
oh i heard infected mushroom once on a monstercat radio i think
from about 0:50 onwards, you are going to LOVE your open headphones
its tight and "strict" enough in the percussion that its just a joy to listen to
damn it i cant wait, considering this song is epic on a pair of closed bluetooth headphones
i cant experience the greatness with yall and your open back headphones
i binged listen to a bunch of hifi playlists on spotify yesterday, curated by audiophiles i presume
very fast but the ticking gears in the beginning really sound cool on my headphones
oh, we can dump files of that size?
i think u need nitro
yes up to 100mb
u dont need nitro to do it
Ghost does not have nitro
oh? no the server just has it
not in this server
hang on a sec then
ya server boosting allows it
amazing
this track in particular blew my mindhttps://open.spotify.com/track/2MYPFXScWdR3PQihBQxu7x?si=WKmajtAsTnmkdW8rMqH7Fg

ooooo flac
flak
alak
will it sound good on macbook speakers
alright let me go down the rabbithole of foobar because i am new to flac, one sec
macbook speakers are actually decent
try it and then try it again when you get the headphones :)
I'm working on a playlist of "Songs to listen to on your brand new audiophile silky magic generators"
I'll start it and post the collab link in here sometime soon
foobar really nice for customizability, some people prefer musicbee tho for easy of use i guess? https://i.imgur.com/uxTcNXH.jpeg
so you can all add things to it
lol please do
@brisk parcel Get the AC/DC donnington blu-ray and just add all of it
well I'm gonna do it all on spotify in a few days probs
here is a highly unusual song i found floating on my drive
by the end of the year I'm gonna move to tidal like I said
yall ever heard of i dont know how but they found me? they're pretty new, but they have some bangers
hm thats a pretty good song naed
i dont have any flacs, only spotify links
epic
foobar looks so daunting to use but i will try
ghost, if you like that, you should check out two steps from hell
I got some homework to do, so I will be back later with some recommendations for our friend @left current here
yes i love two steps from hell too
two steps from hell is pretty good
@tacit wing foobar is a bit of work to setup and get used to. but it pays of very quickly
when i had a tidal trial i came up with this based on suggested and stuff https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/26174942-4cdd-4192-add2-b4c05deb8537
re: 1-01.flac : <- yes, that is indeed ... unusual

like I said if you ever wanna know what I listen to, I've got 3 public playlists on spotify, it's linked to my discord so you can all have a look if you want
and the other one is imo... just a bit of a mess
The Corsair Virtuoso are getting good reviews from JayzTwoCents and Linus

idk why but i cant do spotify, idk if placebo or something but i feel it strains my ears more than even yt at times
if anyone likes a "tempting" rock riff
The Devil You Know (2018)
Composed by Blues Saraceno
Genre: Garage Rock
Lyrics:
Pray sinner, Pray sinner
Say a prayer for me … Pray for me
My blood runs cold
Like the killer you know … The killer you chose
Ooh .. I’m the devil you know
Ooh .. The devil you know
Plead sinne...
@west hornet audiophile problems amirite
i saw 30 songs in there that i have already liked lmao @brisk parcel
which playlist? I've got 3 public ones lmao
i just went through all of em and counted
im jumping back and forth between spotify and flac with Bliss on Mushrooms
wait so with a modi/magni i just need rca and power cables right
just need rca
i have my liked songs, then a playlist for driving, then another playlist with all of the especially good songs
@tacit wing have your ears crossed yet?
power it comes with, and modi can use 1 usb for pc and power
yeah i was talking about the power cables that came with it but didnt specify my b
where do you all typically get your flacs from?
DM me if necessary lmao
altho i wouldnt mind paying for some, i dont want to dump too much money into music files
well some comes from a closet of cds
ghost has some sketchy site i use
flac doesnt magically increase the quality of your music
lossless people get very controversial about whether you can hear difference or not
i couldnt tell the difference between spotify and a much higher quality flac on bluetooth, so i plan to retest once i get my new headphones
@tacit wing i generally just dump my discs into flacs, because why not.
then i will see if its important to me or not
bluetooth does have limitations and packet loss
i would love to keep using spotify because all 600 of my songs are right there lmao
yikes naed
thats the core folder of my collection

remember, i have a number of years on you
i never really cared for music until like my senior year in high school
so ive only just started in comparison lmao
is that all flac
heck, i didnt grow up with mp3 access
no, that is not all flac @tight pulsar
that is flac however
in that folder that is
isnt that like 90gb of songs right there
and?
xD
is this a hobby or an addiction naed
i like music :)
Why not both
i never really liked music, most of what was played on radio i didn't like and just saw as overplayed. i only got into it from games, geo dash i started in elem school and i loved how peaceful the songs from alto's adventure were
speaking of games, i never played Minecraft but Volume Alpha by C418 is a 10/10 for me
ghost did u get addicted to osu after that
once in a while i go on live streams to find more stuff, and just write in a doc what i want to take a look back at which happy i found https://i.imgur.com/3Y2oYfQ.png
yes after geo dash osu 24/7
now i got muse dash too
what happen to be those numbers on the top 🤔
¯_(ツ)_/¯
kinda sus
nice
Good afternoon everyone. I am just built my desktop with an Asus Tuf Gaming Z490-Plus. I am not sure how to deal with both Wifi and bluetooth than I need.
What do you recommend ? External antenna ?
Thanks in advance for your help
Good afternoon everyone. I am just built my desktop with an Asus Tuf Gaming Z490-Plus. I am not sure how to deal with both Wifi and bluetooth than I need.
What do you recommend ? External antenna ?
@river frost network card that has both wifi and bluetooth
i have a TP Link card on the family computer for years
folks at #cpus-mobo-and-memory might help you out better
Actually, the Z490 already comes with a wifi / bluetooth adapter
oh are u having trouble with the on-board solution?
not really, but I am not sure about which antenna I should pick
@river frost if it had onboard wifi, it came with antennas, look through the motherboard box
it's a wifi one, but didn't get the antenna in the mobo box
thats oddly strange
2sec
take a pic of the io
that is the wrong model name @river frost ?
in that folder that is
@amber oracle Sick. I got like 1.6k lossless songs and 100 crappy copies. Size really isn't bad, like 40GB
that is not the Tuf Gaming Z490-Plus
well, the box says 😄
picture please
Naed I need help please
@river frost the name of that model is: TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI)
does it not come with an antenna?
it should
crazy as it sounds, no it didn't
contact the seller
should unless it was used, open box maybe
you can see the antenna in the picture of the box contents
some boxes have flaps you have to open it could be hiding in
Ya
I remember when it took me 10min to figure out there was thermal paste that came with my nh d15
He jus rips it apart😂😂
@daring zenith lol it took me like 5 minutes to figure out how to get the second screw on my cooler on
@tight pulsar it took me more than an hour with at least 4 re-mounts to get my cooler on
i didnt realize there was a hole for it i thought u needed like some funky 90* screwdriver so something
@amber oracle can you help me please
@calm cobalt just ask ur question somebody can answer it
Because I kept screwing up something weird
Umm I have the blue screen of death loop
First the brackets were too low without the thing
reinstall your windows @calm cobalt
Then the brackets wrong spot, then I wasn't sure about good contact
There's often a secure erase option in bios as a nuclear option
Go to os
I'm honestly done with this bs
lol amazing how different a stock and modded switch sounds
from left to right - sakura everglide lubed with 205g0, filmed, cherry topped, and 63.5g SPRiT spring, gateron black ink lubed with 205g0, and stock everglide sakura
T H O C K
I want lubed switches now
i wish i had the patience to be a keyboard enthusiast
lubing looks like a chore
but my wallet is thankful that im not
i put dental floss inside each of my keyboard springs lmao
that was like 2 hrs of work
for some reason that cardboard makes everything like 10x thoccier those things sound hella deep in the video
@tacit wing heres a secret about lubing ||u can just pay somebody like $30 and theyll do it for u||
lol theres nothing fun about lubing unless u like doing the same thing for 3 hours straight
soldering and actually building it is fun but i dont know a single person who likes lubing switches
ehh
thats what i figured when KBDfans assembled KBD75v2 units dont offer lubed switches
no comment
looks at his inline bearing collection .... nope, that is totally not something i enjoy lubing
lol naed what part of that
for the type of bearings i have for my skates, its normal to do a lot of maintenance on them
bearings for a pair of skates is about 150 usd
lubing is satisfying in most cases, but in the application of keyboard switches where you to take it part, lube and put it back in again and do it with the amount of switches u got on your keeb, its kinda like youre working on an assembly line
yes, but how often do you actually need to do it @tacit wing ?
because in season, i lube the bearings about every 2 weeks
and yes, i know, the reason i dont mind, is that i have basically brainwashed myself to NOT care anymore
trust me, i complained a LOT in the start
fortunately for me, i dont have a hobby that requires lubing for maintenance
i asked like a couple times before and they were all over the price, but whats a good mouse for about 30 bucks
i asked like a couple times before and they were all over the price, but whats a good mouse for about 30 bucks
@timid hound g203
i believe the previous model u can get around 30
ima get the g pro wireless does anyone have it?
its $129.99 rn
GPW omron switches are notorious for double-clicking
u sure you dont want to wait till the new one comes out?
Oh yea right new gpw too
any mouse is worth it if the shape is for you
me personally i dont like glorious especially 1st batch
Glorious is still unproven in wireless, id say wait for the reviews before ordering the new O wireless
but to avoid double clicks would the razer viper ultimate be good or just wait
I got my Glorious D today
i ftip lol
but it barely has a hump for Claw users
some people can manage tho
i ftip lol
@calm cobalt well perfect
i might go rvu then
yes and its bad
GPW was #1 for me, but I don't want the double-click drama
i get nothing but razer mice
if your hand is under 18cm length dont get Viper Ult
get the mini instead
18cm or under
i think you can get away with the ultimate? but i generally prefer smaller mice
I have fingertip grip and 20x12 cm I think
ok
im 18x9 fingertip and Viper Mini is perfect for me
i want to try small ergo as well
like the Skoll Mini or D-
would the razer huntsman mini or apex pro tkl be worth
or should i look at something else
i dont like the rattle on the Huntsman line :/
yea its bad
but if you dont care about that their optical switches are super fast
is thats what youre looking for
isnt there 2 types
i was looking at the clicky
but the linear didnt seem like a bad option either
i prefer linears and tactiles
im pretty sure they have their purple clicky switches out for display at Best Buy
atleast my local one
Sorry to barge into this convo but I would like to nominate an even worse clicky switch than the gat blues, cherry mx blues

lol
the only clickys ive ever touched are Kailh Blues
lol gateron blues are like infinitely better than mx blues
Exactly
whats y'all opinions on the apex pro tkl
Seems too expensive especially with the useless lcd display
Im getting this keyboard
Looks pretty
That’s a pretty sexy keeb
Reason: Duplicated text
any recommendations on 144hz monitors
1080p or 1440p
doesnt matter for me ill take either
1080p 144hz IPS
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16824737012
thanks
alright @left current
I know it's been quite some time
but, I have a few questions so we can narrow down your search
NAY, your Q U E S T
so, do you prefer open or closed back? any specific brands or open to new things? wired or wireless? do you prefer imaging(the position of the sound) or soundstage(how wide the sound feels)? do you prefer headphones to be warmer or more neutral, almost surgical?
if you can't answer some of those questions it's okay lmao
mmmm can't wait to get my tube amp and get these SEXY tubes in it
bro screw any girl that comes to my place she is trying my tubes whether she damn well pleases or not
lmaoo
g305 with weight mods or viper mini for fps
@brisk parcel open back, wireless, imaging, and just something that is comfortable
im getting the viper ultimate
ooh I was JUST about to recommend the 58X lmao, no worries, I got plenty other options, gimme 1 sec
@brisk parcel I somewhat care about brand. I want something I can find info on if I need help easily.
okee dokee
I don't have much in the way of wireless, most of the cans I've tried and can personally recommend are all wired unfortunately, though I do hear some talk of ATH wireless cans floating around, and I have tried a few of sennheiser's wireless cans but they're above your price range
I LIED
the 450BTs
almost forgot about these bad boys
but they're closed
i guess..
open back + wireless eh?
finding unicorns here
I know of a few but, I haven't tried any
now it would be possible to buy a wired can and a bluetooth adapter, those sell pretty cheap
but I understand why you wanna get rid of the wire altogether
lemme see if I can dig up something I've tried it
it's hard to remember*
my coiled cable came in
nice
who did u get it from?
Kalamity Cables on IG
@left current ok so after lots of digging, I wasn't able to find any that I've personally listened to, but I can try and find you some well reviewed cans
@brisk parcel know if the corsair virtuoso any good?
any mouse pad and keyboard recommendations
What kind of mouse pad surface? Slick or cloth?
cloth
wireless and open back headphones are gonna be pretty hard to find
Hmm, I know a lot of people get the steelseries mousepad
is the xtrfy gp2 good?
I've never heard of it, so I'm not sure.
i love my GSR-SE
coating is wearing off tho
once the coating is off itll have the same glide as a GSR
how long did you have it till it started wearing
half a year
im maining an Inked Gaming pad to replace it in the meantime
same glide as a GSR-SE
bc i want to get a gsrse but i wanna get a more bigger pad
if you want an alternative i suggest X-Ray pad Minerva or Inked Gaming pad
u looking for a desk pad?
no
?
like an extended pad?
ima get a inked gaming
lol
18x16 inches is big enough for me and my sens is 61cm/360
okay mousepad and deskmats are the same thing but deskmats are just usually bigger right
bruh theyre not gonna print out trademarked stuff for you lol
they will catch a case if they do that
oof
@left current they're not too bad yeah, but there are definitely better options for your money spent
i just dont know what to put on it
I'm sorry man but I need to get some rest, but I'll do my best tomorrow to look up whatever I can
might just put no image on it lol
this mine
nice
as far as i know they can only print out like art or personal photos
the viper mini has a underglow
but if you upload an image with any trademark stuff on it they cant print it
never knew that lol
anyone use the new mx518
i got the dented helmet one and sold it lol
are the razer viper ultimate stock feet good if not what should i get
its good
I used that one back in the day too
nice
then I've been using a G400 for years. so I thought switching to the new mx518 would be OK since it's the same shape and everything
just need to find a keyboard now
the mx518 isnt comfortable for you???
it feels fine. but after using it for a while I notice my pinky finger is hurting
how is it hurting as in is it dragging across your mousepad or is it bent in a way?
try the g703 or g403
nah, it feels like a nerve or something. like carpal tunnel or something

keep your wrist straight
computer ergonomics is everything
it maybe the way you hold your mouse and how you sit behind your desk
it's weird because it feels just like the G400. but the sensor is supposed to be better
it must be different enough that I'm holding it slightly differently or something
I dunno really. I think it might be closer to palm
yeah, palm
definitely not those other two
what part of your hand hurts? just your pinky?
carpal tunnel is generally at the back of your wrist
or it may be RSI
pinky and the pinky part of my palm. goes up my arm
brb going to do keyboard research
whats your pinky look like when youre gripping your mouse?
the tip is pretty far down on that side. almost touching the mousepad
sounds exactly like that. feels kinda like hitting your funny bone
try clawing your fingers maybe?
i mean if its just your pinky maybe try to change the positioning of your pinky and the rest stays the same
yeah, maybe. that'll be hard to do though. since I've been using this shape of mouse for like 15 years now
it might be a coincidence, but it seems like it started right after switching mouses
i can pretty much game all day with just my fingertips touching my mouse
oh yeah just a few mm off the shape of the mouse can make a huge difference
I went back to the g400 for a couple days and I thought it was way better, but then it started hurting again
the MX518 and the G400 is probably not a 1:1 copy
I'll try to get used to it. and if that doesnt work I'll just go back to the old one
that is oddly strange, after using a mouse for 15 years and it suddenly started cramping your fingers up
The G403 or G703 might be a mouse that MAY solve your problem. if youre willing to change shapes
yeah, it's probably the subtle differences in the mouses that I haven't adjusted to yet. I can tell something is different because I'm not as good at games with it either
would the razer huntsman mini be a better pick than the apex pro tkl
I've read people talking about the lift off distance though. that might be part of it
i mean your sensor has no correlation with the pain in your hand im pretty sure
my 203 has a high LOD as well and it doesnt affect ergonomics
the best awper in the world for CSGO, KennyS uses a MX518 so its definitely viable for fps games
nice
@calm cobalt huntsman mini is a scam
overpriced
get something like a glorious gmmk instead
it has hotswap and less case ping
Mx518 used to be the mouse to have in competitive CS
i mean lots of pros still use the mx518
i think tarik and kennys still use it
but ive seen others dabble with it
Hey guys are there any good and affordable 900x400 mouse pad brands that ship internationally ?
Does anyone know about monitors?
@gusty magnet what u need to know
@daring zenith Optix G271 vs Optix G27C5 vs LG 32GN50T-B.AUS
they are all $200-$230usd
why such large 1080p monitors?
Arent they all 27in?
27in 27in and 32in
24in is optimal for 1080p
16:9 1080p that is
uw is different
27in is fine though right?
it's not as good as 24in
24in is optimal for the pixel density
if you sit normal distance from the monitor
I sit like 2ish feet back
If you take like 2-3 steps forward it’s probably about 2 feet
¯_(ツ)_/¯
anyways for me it's either 24in 1080p or 27in 1440p
I'm opposed to others :P
I only have a 1060 6gb so 1440p wouldnt go to well @daring zenith
my DT 990 pros were supposed to come the 13th at a minimum, but now they are coming tomorrow
kinda pog
do like half of the people in this channel have 58xs or 990pros cause thats the way it seems
maybe?
Lol I don't really use this channel, but I do not have studio grade headphones
I've got AT m30s and Shure SE425s
i just dropped my Drop HD58x

M40's showing signs of cracking after like 5'ish years of ownership
27in is fine though right?
@gusty magnet i have a 27'' 1080p monitor and i can play competitive CS on it no problem but i prefer a 24" for better eye mechanics, eyes shooting from crosshair, to radar, to checking ammo etc. on a 24" your eyes travel less
im speaking from a competitive standpoint btw
Technically speaking
i only got a 27" because of a good deal and i sit further back to compensate
Size makes no difference as long as you can move it further away from you
Things I like 27" for: racing games, the new starwars game, watching shows/tvs from across the room
But I didn't like my 27" until I got a gas spring monitor arm so if I want I can easily move it to the very front of my desk or to the wall
i used to have this monitor distance back when i had a 24" LMAO and a monitor arm came in clutch as well so i didnt have to tilt my keeb
outside CSGO tho, i enjoy a 27" better regardless of the worse pixel density, i have my monitor further back as well
@tacit wing thanks for the help
@amber oracle do i take the dive into the ergo rabbit hole naed its only $40
i would say yes
i think you are going to be surprised about how it feels to type on that one :)
also instabuy this is the backplate
membrane is always better than mechanical. mechanical is made up of a sheet of rubber domes and membrane has individual switches
but $40 is hella good for the pcb and everything else, might try some tactiles in it 👀
guys dont believe me pls
tactiles would be nice in that one, that is true too @tight pulsar
@static garnet dont worry, we see it as someone that posted in the wrong channel. Jokes belong in #general-chat
ok
naed when i get an ergo board and a good audio setup will i become amazing at writing essays
@tight pulsar nah, you will get muddle headed and prone to having weird hobbies thou
whats everyone favorite switches?
i like kailh speed pro burgundys
for tactiles, holy pandas/zealios v2
oh no naed
and clickies are razer purples/box jades/box whites/box navies
@static garnet less bs posting in channels that is NOT #general-chat would be appreciated
ok
razer huntsman mini or apex pro tkl
apex pro
id actually get an apex keeb if it had a detachable usb cable and PBT caps coming standard
yea
id take the apex pro any day of the week
atleast pbt keycaps i could careless about the cable imo
most of your money is going towards that little screen which is more of a novelty tbh
id say the switches more than the screen
that little screen is pretty good
what the actuation force of those omnipoints?
0.4 i think
you can change the actuation
lol why would u want 3.8mm actuation
does anyone actually use that feature or do everyone just set it to the lowest point
typing
idk
people use it
i know people who use it
a lot of people have it in the middle
some people dont like having really fast actuation
yea
cause its easier to mistype
yea
i probably wouldnt change it if i had one
so i guess thats an advantage against the huntsman bc a few reviewers complain about being easier to mistype on the huntsman
mhm
also wobble on the huntsman
idk but according to some people on reddit the clicks feel bad
its immune to double clicks
the g pro wireless is the same price tho
what switches are those
there the ones on keyboards right
yes
o
the g pro wireless mouse is great
the omron switches on the GPW have a tendency to double-click
yea
the smaller size might have done it with me
if only keeb switches were just as affordable, id actually be an enthusiast
2 pcs
o
why they so expensive?
theyre 5 bucks for a pair
ya
Should I swap the switches on my gpw? no double clicking issues yet but
yes
@tacit wing wondering, do those have perf differences?
I also need to figure out how you even take apart a gpw but yea
id like to take apart my mouse just to clean it haha
and I'd need to figure out how to take apart gpw :P
Should I swap the switches on my gpw? no double clicking issues yet but
@daring zenith i dont think its an issue until it starts to be an issue
(Just wanted to know if it's go to be preemptive and if they're other consequences with the pre-built switches)
i have a friend that has a GPW who had it since it came out and no problems, i had another friend that got his and two weeks later started double-clicking
I've had mine for a while, I had a single day of double clicking issues, then it's been gone for most of the rest
it like double clicks once two weeks kinda rarity
I also need to figure out how you even take apart a gpw but yea
@daring zenith in terms of mouse surgery, beardedbob is the go-to channel for that
that man is like the JerryRigEverything for gaming mice
hope I don't need real tools
ima take a look because I want to clean out my gpw anyways
i dont have a GPW but i can see it how it can probably tilt me while playing competitive games, i'd probably chuck it across the room if i lost to 1 vs. 5 clutch scenario because my mouse started double-clicking
or im just bad
hope I don't need real tools
@daring zenith https://youtu.be/Kd1mBibUm24
►This YouTube video Is me showing you how to swap the LMB and RMB Omron switches in the Logitech G Pro Wireless to the Kailh GM Reds. Don't want to or can't do it yourself? don't worry I can do any mouse using this link https://shop.beardedbob.com/collections/customised-gaming...
lol u thought it was hotswap?
lol
i probably have a soldering iron in my basement i dont know about xD but i make mess
I got a random question, I have a Logitech G430 headset where does that fall on the scale?
ahh the Tyler1 headset
lol
Whats that even mean
tyler1 headset makes him really loud
Oh so is it no good? I got them a few years ago for like 35$
youre good man
honestly alot of headsets are adequate for gaming
but if you have a higher standard in sound go into the rabbithole of audiophile equipment lol
I'm building a new rig and was gonna pick up a new setup, just saw a review for like a sennhiser pc38x and pc 37x and also razor blackshark and they were all said to be very good
Na I just really want something comfortable that sounds good and will give good directional sound
Yea and they are really expensive
any decent headset can give you directional sound and the imaging you want for footsteps
i reckon ur playing fps games?
Some what, I play games like Escape from tarkov a bit, and will be getting into Cyberpunk (the main reason I'm rebuilding) but the rest is more things like DOS2, risk of rain 2, BG3 stuff like that
