then why was corsair an option in the first place
lmao
50$ and chillin
https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K631-Hot-Swappable-Mechanical-Dedicated/dp/B09R4KB836/
i use numbs
why
no reason to
i've been using win 11 as daily for almost a year
I've been dailying both, I see no real difference other than some things being more annoying on win11
like small things like being able to just straight up type into the task bar for search instead of having to click an extra button
or having to click another time after right clicking to get all the options
just wacky stuff
Some stuff like being able to straight up open up wireless settings from the task bar through the wifi symbol instead of only being able to choose networks
it's just annoying
oh god yeah
idk why ms does that
making doing same tasks more complicated and slower
cause there's more steps to it
like why the hell do you have this
what is the purpose
I'm going to need it anyways
you could've just given me the full list anyways
it just annoys me
what irks me more is that delete file isn't there
that's one of the most common operations I do
and its not in the 'quicker' menu
even after my almost one year usage
I'm like 1-2 month on win11
i still get confused by that menu lmao
I guess the built in video editor did get better, that's the only upside
and just a slightly upside
i like the looks but it's just annoying and confusing sometimes
I prefer not having these looks than to have annoying interface lol
"stramlining" too much be like
yeah i don't mind old looks cause it's just so much easier
anyways I would've prefered win10 if this laptop didn't come preinstalled with win11 lol
Not going to upgrade my desktop from win10 if I have the choice not to
im using 11 just cause im too lazy to upgrade anymore
win 10 probably loses the support plug in 2025 anyway
a few years left but still
true a bit sad
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
real comedian here
but damn, some real gems there
Need help determining how good/bad my current mouse & keyboard is, and what I should consider buying as an upgrade.
Mostly need a comfortable and accurate wired mouse for shooters.
This is my current mouse & keyboard. (They came with my pre-built PC)
https://www.gamdias.com/en/gaming-gear/combo/HERMES_E1C_3-IN-1_COMBO
Mice if ur playing fps games
Both if you just want better peripherals
At least just use them until they break
Oof
Get a new mouse and keyboard asap. Mouse polling rate is 125hz
Most, if not all gaming mice in the last decade have been 1000hz
Also, how do you grip your mouse and how big are your hands?
Insert "just get g502 lmao" here
hm
what's the snappiest tactile switches out there?
i like my outemu brown but i feel the bump is so weak lmao
For anyone curious the HyperX Quadcast is extremely nice
idk holy bobas or some membrane keyboard
holy bobas expensive and kinda a pain
hm, ok
so far im reading some stuff and i think my option might have to be glorious panda
im trying to not break my wallet
lol fair
unless its at least a decently updated and contributed forum post or something
at least
then buy silent swithcews
Anyone who has the mx master mouse can you please help me with the scrolling ? It’s set to smooth scrolling and it doesn’t feel smooth it all it’s really laggy when scrolling through web pages in comparison to a Magic Mouse or the keyboard on the Mac
Trackpad*
I like it personally
Best place to buy xbox one wireless controllers anyone
Anyone got recommendations for headphones. Need some headphones for music. Probably with noise cancellation and hear through if possible and not something expensive too. For music
What are some good headsets or headphone and mic combo things for calls and gaming
I also want them to be good for music
I'm trying to put my backspace key back into my keyboard but it's not working
Keeps popping back out
It has those little stabilizer thingies (not the bar) that goes into a small hole on the keyboard itself
recommendations for decent desk mics? >$100
talking about these? Did these come out somehow?
probs talking about costar
sounds like costar
Costar wacky
dynamic or condenser? xlr or usb?
do wireless headsets actually sound worse than wired once
What's your budget ? I personally love my sony wh xb900n 's (i think the new model is called wh xb910n ) they where around €180
Like 50~100
Oof
Why
Ehh country?

Very low for good anc headphones
Well I'll have a look but i doubt many for 100

I'm a big fan of sonys large ear cups n stuff so I'd choose them but the ankers might be better for you depending on preferences
can u elaborate
Holdup
This
I was getting the I think soundcore q30
which better between the two?
Honestly should have a look into reviews yourself idk that much about them
And sound preference/style is personal
ok

mainly for my friend
Hes having an issue that I had, and I fixed it by connecting it to my phone and back to my pc, however this doesn't work for him and I told him to uninstall the drivers, and theres noway to download the controller drivers

any recommendation for good keyboard my budget is 150$
Yeah, those
They didn't come out but I just can't get the key to stay in right
so instead of forcing it in even more I just put it on the switch itself without attaching it to those
works fine, but it looks like it's raised higher than the other keys on my keyboard
gonna take all my keycaps off to clean my keyboard tmrw
i have a lot of pets, so my keyboard has a lot of hair in it
any tips for getting it out?
last time i was stuck using tweezers
Sometimes turning the keyboard upside down and laying on desk does it although ime there's gonna be some practically glued to the PCB
for when its not in use, if you have some sort of cover then you can do that. some people like to use the plastic cover that comes with the keyboard assuming your keyboard came with one.
keychron, royal kludge, depends on what youre looking for
with a budget of $150 I would skip rk
Leopolds, keychron, varmillo and a some other boards are in his budget
well its more like if they want a decent board and just pocket the rest of the money
they are god awful
ohh when not in use
hey is there any good multiplatform headphones like the arctis nova pro wireless
fair point
I GoT BIg eAR🙀
define good?
what is it 1/10
it depends on the user, some like full sized keyboards, some 60%, some TKL
then you have the membrane ones, mechanicals, optomechanicals, etc
i want 80% with argb cant find it anywhere
if i remember you were trying to fit a build under 60k rupees
yea
at that point you should settle at a cheap membrane keyboard until you have saved more money, no point in overspending when you are already on a very tight budget
but now it is 75k
then i suggest you to upgrade more critical parts first and leave peripherals as a last priority
like mobo/cpu and gpu
you can get away with a cheap keyboard for months
my dad will buy it so and my keybord is too old
as i suggested you, just buy a cheap keyboard for now (something between 6-15 bucks) and upgrade your critical parts
that is 35 usd lol
as an example you can upgrade your 610 mobo to a 660 with those extra 35
i cant do that
it will fare better in the long run
a b660 is 13k and a h610 is 7k and this keyboard is 2k so 9k i cant see
that is 4k more
but you upgraded your budget from 60k to 75k.... thats a 15k increase to upgrade parts
It is so shaky
well, you have your priorities man, if it were me i should buy a cheap keybaord and upgrade the extremeley budget parts first
and this keyboard is not from am 75k
i mean a 660 is miles ahead of a 610
budat
you will be severely limited on the long run
now u are talking
only reason to get a 610 mobo is if you are on an extremely tight budget, and now you have the means to get a 660, yet you want an expensive keyboard... i dont know man
ok with 40 sec

its p nice
Quick question sony inzone h9 or steelseries arctis nova pro wireless
If I put all of these parts together will it work?
It would work yes
Ahhh get the soundcore q45 or q30???
If you care about layout, the only thing is that it's ISO, other than that, you can get whatever aftermarket keycaps with kana legends
Sadly I feel like I prefer a membrane keyboard
Or something like that
I have gotten so used to them that it is a benefit that I can slide to a nearby letter without lifting a finger
(Which you couldn’t do on a typewriter without jamming it)
Not familiar with keyboards enough to know if keycaps are a thing for membrane keyboards
Heck I dont think I am using the right terminology anyway
“Chiclet”
I guess I could simply have two keyboards.
One I build into the computer and the other your standard run of the mill thick keyboard
I mean
You can do that with mech keyboard too, just need flat keycaps
If you're talking about being able to easily move your fingers around
Or is there something else...?
Yeah thats hwat I mean
there's lots of different keycap profiles, some tall, some rounded, some angled, some flat
if you just want flat keycaps shouldn't be hard to find with mech keebs
Well darn. My huntsman's CTRL key stopped working, so I'm looking for a good but affordable replacement.
Might be smarter if I ask in #tech-deals-discussion
Is there some new term I'm missing? Looking at the specs that say the RGB is addressable, but doesn't say what it is, and looking at the ports, don't even see any type of controller port.
Check this out on @Newegg: Computer Power Supplies 1050W, RGB Power Supply Fully Modular 80+ Gold PSU, Addressable RGB Light Power Supply for Gaming PC https://www.newegg.com/p/1HU-02T9-00010?Item=9SIATPEE8D1024&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIATPEE8D1024-_-09012022
Sold from in the USA, but get the feeling, seller is trying to push off the button to change colors as addressable.
There's only the RGB control button, it can't be controlled by the system at all
They can technically call it a-rgb because it uses an a-rgb fan
Addressable does not mean the same as controllable
Explains why Amazon yanked the seller. Newegg has two sellers calling themselves the GameMax store, one selling the power supply showing the motherboard data cable and port, the other not at all, yet same description, different prices.
Check this out on @Newegg: GAMEMAX Power Supply 1050W Fully Modular 80+ Gold Certified with ARGB Light, RGB-1050 https://www.newegg.com/gamemax-rgb-1050-1050w/p/1HU-0289-00037?Item=9SIAVA3FD04627&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-9SIAVA3FD04627-_-09012022
It's not a bad power supply, except for the time bomb that shuts them down, after they run for so long. Had older models all quit the same day. Sort of like what those R4 cards do, but rolling back the clock has no effect.
Had to bypass the 555 timer if I remember right
That's also a good point. I always thought addressable was the same thing
There's also the fake reviews, units that are significantly different from those sent for 80+ analysis, changing components completely without changing the model...
Asus did that a number of years ago with their Nexus tablets. Engineer made a change in the adapter that removed a gateway. The result, unplug the adapter while it's still hooked to tablet, extreme fire Hazzard. Didn't even know about it till UL emailed me that the adapter PCB revision isn't what matches the number on the melted case.
@glass bear wireless viper mini?
woah
i already have one of those though 💀
Anybody know what's a good wireless lavalier microphone?
For consumers there is the rode and dji wireless lav systems that are pretty decent. Im not sure about the dji but for the rode it works best if you get a separate mic to go with it
so whats the opinion on this? https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-keyboards/g915-low-profile-wireless-mechanical-gaming-keyboard.html
i need something with media keys and macro buttons
gross
well from you its always negative
thats why
doesnt matter what it is
its always negative
ok then get/choose something that isnt bad
then suggest something that isnt bad
He has a point. Saying something is bad without giving a reason or alternatives is just noise.
well if it was me id get literally any of keychrons newer boards and just program my own macros and media keys with VIA but id assume you wouldnt want to do that
especially instead of spending 230$ for a gaming keyboard
Qmk/via is neat
But the Logitech keeb just doesn't give you like anything over the 50$ EVGA board if you go name brand
and if u really need the rainbow LEDs theres always the apex pro for 30$ cheaper and has adjustable actuation
if you're still looking at
it's by no means a bad keyboard but you can get a lot of better stuff for the same price
I want basically have the ability to have the macro keys and media keys
Those are my two big selling points
@glass bear
if you value those over a better typing experience there isn't exactly anything like that Logitech
Other mechanical keyboards have qmk so you could like remap extra keys to do that
but it's not like a special buttom like the Logitech
Unless you know of a Macro pad or something
I use the keys alot
So after the evga keyboard died it kinda killed me
I had a warranty on the evga one but they wanted me to pay for shipping and that was not worth it when the brand-new was as much as the shipping
I see
just go for it then it isn't a bad keyboard
with a custom-ish company like keychron you'd have a nicer time typing
but with keyboards you can pretty much be blissfully ignorant
hes asking for confirmation not really a recommendation
I asked for a recommendation
What do y’all think about the Logitech G502 hero. Or lightspeed.
I have the G502 Hero and I personally like it. It's a bit heavier and larger than other mice, which helps with my habit of lifting the mouse. The biggest downside is it's a Logitech mouse and the switches will die relatively quickly.
plus if u know exactally what u want and know and did reserarch to find something thats exactally what u want
why ask for opinions
just get it
logitech software aint great and they dont use great parts but it has the macro keys and the media knob or whatever for an excessive price
What do you guys recommend for keyboard and mouse?
Yeah then I'll prolly find a decent keyboard and just get a separate pad for macros I'm.prettty sure they exist
just get a keychron keyboard that has a knob and can use VIA
any recommendations for a router? I'm experiencing packet loss and I'm pretty sure its my router. I'd like a router preferably under 60$ I was thinking this https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AC1750-Smart-WiFi-Router/dp/B079JD7F7G/ref=sr_1_3?crid=Y22XH41524VY&keywords=router&qid=1662337026&sprefix=router%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-3 . i have 400-500 mbps dl speed
AC1750 Wi-Fi router/wireless router. One of routers for wireless internet, wireless routers for home. Dual band router and gigabit router. Ideal as internet router also gaming router. Long range coverage with high speed. Compatible with all 802.11ac devices and below. 5ghz router/5g router Freque...
Currently have spectrum, if that matters at all
whats the best budget wireless mouse?
did you test for packet loss bypassing the router?
idk, I just took a packet loss test using this website https://packetlosstest.com/
coax cable been replaced, and so has the modem, leading me to believe its the router
i would bypass the router and run the test, if still packet loss then def not the router, and would have Spectrum check for issues along the line
otherwise that router should be fine for Spectrum, I have Spectrum and a similar router to that
dont know what that means to bypass the router, do you mean just plug in the internet cable straight into my computer?
hook your computer directly to the modem and test
the router was fine for a while, then just loaded up a game one day and started lagging
ok ill try that
@hasty quail Still have packet loss, just not as bad, so do I call my ISP and tell them im experiencing packet loss or ?
does this also mean one the wires outside could be damaged?
I would contact ISP and tell them you have packet loss w/o router in place, modem has been replaced, and you would like them to test the line coming in for issues
and yes it could be actual line damage, or a loose connector somewhere in the mix
alright ty
I asked this before in this chat, and i then asked in #tech-deals-discussion but I'm currently trying to find a good budget mechanical to replace my old Razer Huntsman which its ctrl key broke recently.
I'm looking for under 120-125 canadian dollars atm and I'm having a bit of a difficulty with it
I did see a blackwidow v3 on amazon, but considering its lack of repairability in terms of switch replacement, it's a risk.
Keychron c2 hotswap
Hi Everyone,
There's something I want to try and do and I want to know if it's possible and how to do it:
What I Want To Do
Merge my two separate work stations into station for working/gaming
Toggle peripherals & monitors between two computers depending on if I am working or not the other computer would be off/on
Work Laptop - when I am working I can switch to use one set of keyboard & mouse that I use for gaming/personal
Gaming Desktop - when I am not working I can use the same keyboard & mouse. That way I won't have to plug and unplug my mouse and keyboard to the desktop/laptop each time I am done work/gaming, and also won't have to need to always toggle hdmi settings on my monitors to detect that my laptop/desktop is on unless its already build into my monitors.
If possible to also toggle personal microphone/webcam in addition to my keyboard & mouse
Equipment I currently use:
Work Setup
Dell Laptop
Dell Dock Station to plug into work laptop to project it onto two monitors (This can stay so the laptop can boot up both my personal monitors and extend the display when my personal computer is turned off/on)
Two Monitors (I want to use my own monitors from personal setup)
Dell Keyboard & Mouse (I want to use my own peripherals)
Personal/Gaming Setup
Two Monitors
AORUS CV27Q 27"
GIGABYTE M27Q 27"
Desktop
Webcam
Microphone
Custom Keyboard & Gaming Mouse
Please give me a dummy guide on how to do what I want to do & buy if its possible,
I'm currently looking at this but I think its only for peripherals but not the monitors unless its built into auto detect whether of my work laptop is on or personal desktop

Thanks in Advance!
I happen to be setting up a similar setup rn with my gaming desktop and macbook. What you’d be looking for is a kvm switch. They sell some for multiple monitors but they start to get very expensive. Lately some display manufacturers have been incorporating kvm functionality within the display such as gigabytes m series monitors, you can plug in 2 usb devices into the monitor and then one usb would go from monitor to pc and a laptop would be connected via thunderbolt usb c. There is a single switch on the back to switch between the 2 computers. That is what i am going to be doing with a M27Q P I recently ordered since my laptop only supports 1 external display anyway.
Seeing that you have a m27q you could try that and see if it is the desired setup you want, for multiple displays you will have to look around for multi display kvm switches as I don’t know any notable ones. Also the one you linked doesn’t seem to have hdmi or displayport connections so that may not work as desired
Its really just any channel that would relate to the issue, #windows-ios #building-and-recc-chat some of the hardware channels etc
prob will jus ask in build chat bc i hve an idea of which component is causing th issue
None, just good enough sounding
Cant recc actual wirelessearbuds, but these products has no definite benchmarks to test like pcs
AirPods pro are decent in the wireless space
Ofc there is better in the wired iem space, or btr7 + some wired iem
personally cant recommend airpods unless you live in the orchard
Bluetooth is always going to have compression and latency
But if you can get an mmcx bluetooth adapter, you can find some decent earbuds to use wirelessly
wat is that supposed to mean

crazy they cant give an actual recommendation over airpods. airpods stay winnin 🥱
I mean I would still take the pros over the sound signature of something like xm4s lol
the orchard is the walled apple garden
im dumb
I heard there was a major flaw with the linkbuds, don't remember what it was though
sure its the s and not the regular linkbuds?
or don't struggle with wireless sound quality, just get the new btr7 and plug in some random headphones or iems in
I'm thinking about getting a Logitech headset, and I'm thinking about getting the G733
is that a good headset or
What's your main use? Gaming?
Need to be wireless?
Just gaming, and my current headset is Wired but I find myself turning in my chair and get tangled in them
@neon root my viper ultimate has a really smooth area on the under side near the skates does this mean i should get new skates
ill send a pic in a bit
?
@neon root
like that shiny bit
near the barcode
alot smoother than surrounding plastic
i have it as well but not as bad as yours. either because i just havent used mine for as long as you, dont know how long youve used yours. could be due to just oils that its picked up or just scraping which also picking up oils
gonna assume you also rest your ring finger there on the side right next to where that part is
used mine for like 7~8 months i think
Had mine for ~9 months, this is how mine looks there
Had to use flash to highlight the slight difference in texture there
you still have the cover on for the usb dongle?
doesnt it rattle? reason why i dont have mine on, took it off within the first hour of using it
also guess it just depends on what mouse you get then or you just have less hand oils
well
hm
yours different, goes along the side instead
No, the only thing is the latch thingy is half broken since I take it off and on semi often
Since there's only 1 USB-A port on the side of my laptop, rest at the back, when I charge my mouse with wire I like to put the dongle back in, so I use it a lot
but there's no rattle
pretty snug
guessing how you hold it, how much hand oils you have and what kind of mouse pad you use affects how the plastic is affected over long term
Probably
since leyo and mine are somewhat similar but mines smaller and yours runs along the side instead of being like a blob
My hands don't sweat much, and I use a hard pad rn
although previously I was using a MPC 890
well ye
thats what happens to plastic from oils
just depends on how good the plastic is that the company uses
having a glorious model o-, they used fairly cheap plastic in order to have a really cheap lightweight mouse to compete against finalmeme hence qc issues and now really smooth/oily spots
Anyone know good speakers for desktops?
Just some budget ones will be fine it's for a hp prebuilt.

Best gaming keyboard under $30?
anything under 30$ gonna suck
just get like whatever amazon basics keyboard u can get

reasonably priced means different amounts to different people
usd? check out royal kludge and see if they have anything within your budget for the layout you want

red dragon also has some kinda decent boards as well, not sure about rgb with them though
thank you!
i had a redragon k55 i think it was

Mb I just saw this but like anywhere from 20 - 50 ish is good.
Nothing too fancy.
pebble speakers are a popular pick for super budget speakers
Can anyone recommend a decent budget (maybe 60 dollar max) mic
EVGA Z15 is $40 on Newegg. It's mechanical and has speed switches (super sensitive), so you'd have to get used to that. I swear by it. I got it when it was $70. You can customize every key's rgb including the media buttons. It also comes with a volume wheel. It is wired. Comes with wrist wrest.
I have had mine for 6 months now with zero issues
have u tried looking in the product description
and id assume if its dp it can do 170 1440
well says in name like 8k60hz 4k144hz and 1080p165hz
they put it in the name to attract searches
okay seller answered
Depends on use case, but for gamers DP
Got it.
arctis nova pro bs arctis nova pro wireless difference?
I like Corsair keyboards, but right now im using a G513 Silver Tactile
Specs available on page
https://www.newegg.com/corsair-k70-rgb-pro-cherry-mx-blue-black/p/N82E16823816150
This corsair keyboard on Newegg, above, is more expensive than you're looking for, and i've never used it myself, but I think it's going to be a nice upgrade
That’s cool but it’s also 130
I think I’m gonna go with the z15
Then upgrade it a couple years down the line
nice. mine was luckily a birthday gift lol
I use a Razer Deathadder Expert with it, that needs an upgrade soon. Since i've only been gaming on PC lately.
What’s that
Just a "simple" mouse
Technical specifications for the Razer DeathAdder Classic including product manuals, downloads, FAQs, and product warranty information.
you have 4x the DPI mine does lol
nice. pretty much the same here lol
I dont even know how long i've had my speakers -- Logitech Z333
I just use an Amazon Alexa as a speaker
A dot
I’m gonna get headphones on Black Friday
My cat has destroyed so many of my cábele
but I might have had a partial complex seizure and done it myself without remembering. the joys of Epilepsy.
it just looks like too clean of a a cut to be done by anything but scissors
O wow
yeah the adapter/connector are gone somwhere and I can't find them anywhere lol
Those were 50 buckaroos.
EPOS Sennheiser GSP 300
i cant remember is the model o good for claw or palm grip
Is the Razer Basilisk mouse good?
Been thinking about replacing my EVGA mouse & keyboard.
Requirements:
- A-RGB
- High DPI
- Side Buttons
claw iirc
model d is palm
What grip?
What are the available types?
I'd like something with rubber or something that I can get a good grip on. My default hand's grip is a claw form.
$59
That kind of shape won't work. For some reason when I use mouses shaped like that my hand starts to hurt and etc.
so probably try model o then?
assuming like gpw shape doesn't work for you
or viper mini?
The shape I'm familiar with would be something like the EVGA X15 or Razer Basilisk.
Kinda like that long rectangle with the large gap on the side with large thumb support.
Really curved mouses like the one sent tend to kill my hand. Also just to double check. I'd prefer a large mouse as my hands are very big.
I mean, basilisk is pretty curved
but in general gpw is a safe shape ig
g502 probably works
What does GPW mean?
Just looked at the G502, it's that style of shape that my hands find comfortable.
Also, is it weird I prefer wired mouses?
It shouldn't matter
I think that's preference, I have wired
I think these days it's maybe a 5-10 ms difference
Yeah, so I think it just comes down to preference
xm1 kinda angles the wire up instead of straight out, but I don't think that makes a huge difference
prob better for less drag on the mouse
Yeah
I've used wireless mice enough to where if I use wired that slight amount of drag screws with me
I have Viper Ultimate, xm1r, g502, and g402* if you want pictures of the differences
Mainly sizes I guess
But you can find that on rtings.com too, they have some 3d model comparison
Hmmm. Is the Basilisk V3 Pro a good mouse?
I haven't looked into it much, looks like it came out last month
What about this?
Oops

also viper ultimate?
https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mice/g502-x-plus-wireless-lightforce.910-006160.html
Gonna brute force Apex into getting the xm1
although tbf vu isn't too big
but its kinda chill
Will probably get that if so since it has the shape I like along with the razer Eco-System which I already have like 4 of their other stuff.
Yeah, I used it for a couple months, it's not a bad mouse. I think the only thing I didn't like were the side buttons. But battery life is really long
I've used it for a couple of months too, it's neat
I think I got it refurbed on amazon with a dock for $80
I've had gpw mow and vu so far, vu shape is pretty similar to gpw
The new ones don't even come with a dock if I remember right
they made a v2 or smth, haven't paid attention
all I know is vu price is nice, it's like 80$ nowadays not 150$
I like the width of the xm1r though, a lot of people don't like that
I'll have to measure my hands lol
it's only for advertising, like iirc a finalmouse used the same like 25k DPI sensor as on a logi mouse, but they limited it to smth like 4000dpi because that's all you need
I use normally about 6,000.
what
I have a decent EVGA mouse that came with my computer a while back. Goes up to 7,400 DPI.
why do you need 6000
What keyboard from Razer would you guys recommend?
use in-game sensitivity
I do that too.
probably none, keyboard and headphones are what they don't do well
I have a health watch on my right hand 24/7 so it makes flick shots a pain.
Yeah, I ordered a Razer Huntsman and the keys made me cringe, it felt so cheap
Ahh okay.... Time to add another RGB software to my PC I guess.
What keyboard do you guys recommend? Full size, A-RGB, mechanical keyboard.
Preferably with like some sort of metal switch. I really like the clanking sound.
so increase in-game sensitivity and disable mouse acceleration
I flick with 600dpi and a tiny mousepad
clicky or tactile
Difference?
like this
https://youtu.be/UBdnmwQYlrQ
Sound test of the Keychron C2 fullsize hotswap RGB mechanical keyboard. Keyboard is completely stock with no modifications other than swapped switches. Switches are stock Outemu Phoenix Clicky 62g. Keycaps are PBT, XDA profile from AliExpress.
or like this
https://youtu.be/7oaiSxm-pSc
As you all know, I am generally not a tactile person; however, I have been wanting to try Durock's T1 switches after I was impressed by the Kiwis.
I gotta say, these were super snappy and a lot of fun to type on! I will try to make some time to lube them with 3204 in the near future and upload an updated video too :)
If you want to try them y...
I think Tactile is what I have.
razer switches are wack, they feel different from decent tactile switches
keep that in mind
different bump different actuation different spring different smoothness from different stem and different housing and different leaf and different possible factory oil or factory lube etc
it can feel and sound quite different
So I should watch a review to check for the sound?
If I go outside the Razer Eco-System. What would you recommend?
if you're looking for the sound, clicky will have its own sound, tactile sound can be more dependant on the board
What keyboards would you recommend with sound outside the question?
Full size, ARGB, mechanical
Keychron
recommendations for a mouse with the following "specs"? It's for a friend, preferably under $70
Around or under 5 inches, around or under 106grams
I think the new full sized one is v1
Grab a hotswap board in general so you can get whatever switches
Hotswap is a feature
https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k10-wireless-mechanical-keyboard?variant=39426675900505
Example board
Keychron K10 Wireless mechanical keyboard has included keycaps for both Windows and macOS, and users can hotswap every switch in seconds; with the hot-swappable version. Please drop your email on "Notify Me When Available" if the product model is out of stock.
Just for casual use or gaming?
Maybe Orochi v2?
Decided to stick with the Razer Eco-System due to all the RGB softwares I have and etc already setup for it.
Gonna get the:
- BlackWidow V3
- Basilisk V3
- Mouse Bungee V3
- Goliathus Extrended - Halo Edition (cause who doesn't like thee Chief).
Man
yikes
no hotswap sad
I can switch the keycaps to their other keycaps.
switches
Oh, thought hotswap meant keycaps.
no, hotswappable switches without needing to solder and desolder each switch
razer quality is a yikes
At least it's not Corsair, I think Razer keycaps are standard length?
No hotswap and bad proprietary switches are wack still
I thought people liked the k70/k100
Corsair? Nah, people crap on them a lot, not hotswap ofc, nonstandard bottom row makes them not compatible with most keycaps (I think k100 might've been the one that actually had a standard keycap setup, forgot, but the rest are wack), extremely expensive, crappy stabs, and in general, it's Corsair...
Yo I got the glorious pandas and I wanna know what lube I should use
I wanna use the same lube for my switches and stableisers
Idk how 2 spell the last word lmao
If you want to use the same lube, 205g0 might be the only option, just for the switch, tribyos 3203 might be fun, and dielectric grease can be fun for stab
I've heard of dielectric grease but I won't wanna buy 2 different lubes as that's more of a waste and more expensive lmao
You recommend 205g0?
205g0 is like the standard lube you can use for everything
Wth it's 10 bucks lmao Im so over budget for my setup lmao
Lol
That?
Ye, krytox 205g0, comes in many different possible containers
Do note if you plan on bag lubing springs it'll be more efficient to use 105g0 for that specific purpose
Out of context this sounds so bad
they used to use some weird 6u or something i think they use normal sizes tho
also corsair everything kinda sucks
they dont really make anything good
kinda all just gamer marketing
fun
some people like their cases, I don't, they have some okay PSUs, but they're usually overpriced
I mean they make alot of mediocre things
but idk if anything they make is really like high tier
AXI is really high end
currently have the razer viper ultimate v2 but its been starting to feel a tad small. Any suggestions for something a bit larger?
@obsidian cypress yeah dont get razer keyboards, they have an awful tendency to disconnect randomly
not to mention their proprietary switches

basilisk or g502 i say 😛
even rk is better
for much less
you can mod it and it leaves razer in the dust
for still affordable price tag
im sick of having my huntsman disconnecting all the time
needing a restart every once in a while
Custom board here. been done with razer boards and the likes for years
if you look online everyone that have razer keyboard experiment the same problem
i have 1 year with mine, learned the lesson
next set of peripherals wont be razer
and tbh
i highly recommend getting rk keeb at very lowest
anything cheaper mech just sucks
at very low budget you might as well get membrane lol
ill pretend to juice this peripherals for at least 4 years becasue... they werent cheap you know 😦
combo of a huntsman+basilisk+kraken at 250 usd
oof
Any keyboards non-razer that support Chroma?
Technically isn't via rgb software, you can bind keys to rgb control
I already got things running Chroma and honestly IMO it isn't so bad. I haven't had any issues with it.
Side note, got ksc75 for about a month, would not recommend for gaming, positional audio wasn't good enough, much rather switch back to cal se
Have you tried not having rgb software, it's really nice
Are you suggestings going no Disco lights on my rig?
Yes
It's already going to be disco lights by default
You don't need to touch it and hurt your performance
It doesn't really affect performance unless you're one of those people with like 4+ softwares runnings.
- I like my lights and being able to customize them to match every situation.
My favorite piece being my handphone stand currently.
Everything affects performance somewhat, the Razer software tends to be more than nothing, at least its not as bad as icue, but it's still there
Every small amount.
1/3 of my chrome browsers running at any given time takes up far more performance then the software.
To shed some light.
Okay I just looked at ALL RAZER RELATED APPS in task manager and all together it uses about 0.1-0.2% of my CPU.
And I am currently only rocking a I7-10700.
Memory wise it's all together using about 100mb.
Which isn't that bad. Especially once I have 32gbs in my system.
Not terrible, but some is still worse than none, and it may spike from time to time
The aesthetics make it worth it.
Rgb software causes me immense suffering
Indeed
That is why when i do feel like installing rgb software it is usually just openrgb
razer aint too bad, people just make it out to be hella bad the worst of the worst. with that said, synapse 3 is the worst of the 3 versions but still, it aint hell spawn
could be cam
I'm asking on someone's behalf:
"What would be a good site for mechanical keyboards? I have a friend's birthday coming up and he's been interested in building mechanical keyboards"
I would say $150-200 would be my budget for him. But he said he prefers rgb, red cherry mx switches or better, and he likes the asian theme for caps"
I would start with keychron
And buy some keycaps and lube
But tho ones with gateron g pro doesn't really need lubing
for keycaps, could try mechanicalkeyboards.com or aliexpress but aliexpress would take longer in shipping
^
could also just try amazon as well since theyre just starting out with a keyboard
then later on if they want they could go and try and look for more expensive sets
oouu ty chiefs
I know nothing about mechs but I assume those keyboards with hot swappable switches are $$$
Not really lol
depends on what keyboard specifically youre looking at
theres some pretty cheap keyboards if you look around that are somewhat decent
It's a wide range of prices
ooo makes sense
keychron is a good entry point of cheap but not too cheap
There's RK to save even more
thanks I'll pass it around
It's highly recommended to mod them tho, cause RK does have kinda rattly stabilizers
Keychron stock is pretty decent
If there is anyway to customize a keyboard to be Cyberpunk themed I will happily not get a Chroma compatible Keyboard.
You can already do that
Anyone know of a way to pull this off without painting the keyboard?
Just get keycaps kek
Gateron is better than CherryMX ?
gat yellow pros are neat
oouu
Does Razer make any hotswapable keyboard out of curiosity?
no
Ooof.
lol
That'd been perfect if they did.
Razer keeb is honestly not good for the price
Mhmmm. Well this is an issue. I am trying to find a keyboard with a Cyberpunk paintjob that's hotswapable.
So far no luck.
I got my first cheap mech few years back,
it was one of the only cheap wireless + wired option
Corsair K63 CherryMX Red,
software is crap and left CTRL already broke off with no replacement ((:
Also g0d I'm looking forward to having a 4090. halo infinite is killing me frames.
You just need keycaps
lmao there's a cyberpunk gmk set
Preferably whole thing.
Keycaps are standard, so you can put anything into em
just paint the case and use cyberpunk keycaps
If it's just keycaps then it's not that interesting to me. Or even just a purple base keyboard or neon.
Just take it apart and paint the case
these Corsair apparently use custom bottom row and the only replacement I found on Amz /eBay all out of stock 🥲
Is that risky?
the case is just plastic
Just gotta take off all the keycaps to get to the screws
array of colors on kbd67 lite options for example
Oh you mean like take the whole thing apart then paint it?
Like take the plastic case off.
Yeah
Anyone have a keyboard they'd recommend? Lots of RGB, full size mechanical keyboard.
Maybe battery if it's wireless
womier for way too much rgb
I could live in RGB.
All I want is rk100
At my otheer place in the US I had a disco ball in my room.
I like 96% keebs
24/7 disco.
paired with pudding or crystal keycaps from hyperx or something similar for even more rgb
But yeah, what would you guys recommend knowing what I'd like?
What kind of keycaps, and etc.
this whole thing is rgb
https://www.amazon.com/Womier-K98-Mechanical-Keyboard-Translucent/dp/B09NNL34K5/
ooh 96%
yas
for keycaps depends on what kind of color wave you want as well
I don't think I can paint that....
theme and color wave
Cyberpunk theme, Neon color scheme.
I wanna do a cyberpunk keyboard.
I know you probably don't want to have to buy gmk keycaps, but uh these are a thing
https://www.amazon.com/DROP-Custom-Mechanical-Keyboard-Keycap/dp/B096SW9S7P/
Laser goes supernova: MiTo’s Laser custom keycap set earned glowing reviews when we first launched it years ago—and cyberpunk is here to stay. Round two of GMK Laser features all the bright lights, dark shadows, and ‘80s vibes you loved in round one, plus some key updates, including a streamlined...
Preferably something more like a standard keyboard with some nice places to paint. That keyboard looks really cheap and crappy tbh....
There is a difference between quality RGB and just RGB everywhere. if you understand what I'm talking about.
that's the ALL rgb option
What is the 70% RGB option?
Wait hold up. is there a keyboard with a infinity mirror?
RK probably has some decent rgb keebs
Are you talking to me I assume?
What are GMK keycaps like?
really expensive, look at the price
they're thicc bois
generally basically the 'high end' keycaps
Do they feel good? I like the feel of cold metal.
They're well, plastic
I mean, you can get metal keycaps
But ^
Reason: Bad word usage
bruh
i looked up cyberpunk keycaps
and well.
Something uhhh
wrong poppedf up.
Dang it all, and I had a perfect no warning streakl....
Do metal keycaps exist?
this is like the 60% rgb option
https://www.amazon.com/RK-ROYAL-KLUDGE-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B0979Y3M5Y/
and this would be like 50% rgb option
https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k10-wireless-mechanical-keyboard?variant=39426675900505
Wireless Mechanical Keyboard RK100 Pro, RK ROYAL KLUDGE 2.4G Bluetooth Wired Mechanical Gaming Keyboard 100 Keys CNC frame, RGB Hot Swappable Keyboard for Windows Mac w/ Software, Gateron Brown Switch
Keychron K10 Wireless mechanical keyboard has included keycaps for both Windows and macOS, and users can hotswap every switch in seconds; with the hot-swappable version. Please drop your email on "Notify Me When Available" if the product model is out of stock.
yea
rk100 pro, hmm
Any RGB keyboards with a metal case?
That's what I currently got.
Well, metal top. Plastic sides.
i heard rk pros are a lot better than normal rk
Nvm, I take that back. It's partially metal.
like they come with foam from factory
oh dang
the pro even uses gateron
instead of their own switches
same price as non pro

well damn it's a pretty good choice
I wish they'd show what it'd look like with the RGB on.
I've lost track. Which keyboard are we talking about?
I am looking at the K10.
Oh that one.
aw k10 hotswap w alum sides isn't in stock rn
Does it have a full size variant?
I need the numpad and other stuff on the keyboard.
I make use of those buttons.
96% has numpad
if you haven't noticed lel
the keys are just more compacted together
instead of spreading out in clear sections
this saving space that way
This is the amount of keys I use.
yes, 96% just has that without the spaces
Oh.
96% covers basically all of that
^
etc
They're like laptop keyboard kinda profile
Oh shoot, before I forget to mention it. I'd like media keys if possible. Not a requirement but a preference I use a lot.
just get qmk board if possible
QMK?
qmk is software
qmk compatible boards will list qmk in their name
like keychron q series
i really dig the rk100 pro ngl
alu case means it won't yellow out
keycaps can always be changed
Is there a black version of the RK100 pro?
Actually wait.... I just realize.
I am gonna paint it.
So no point.
Nah
It only comes in white
It does have a batt tho, being wireless
So mind the batt while you're painting the case
Can it be plugged in?
Like 24/7 .
Oh, so it does have a wired option.
Can I have it plugged into two systems at the same time?
This way I can use it on my Xbox and PC.
No
Oooof.
That only works on bluetooth mode
Well I guess that's a bit much to ask.
might be able to if it has toggle modes
I mean with my keychron board I can have it plugged in and bt connected to something else, and just toggle mode
Do you guys know what Sandblasted metal will look like after a metallic purple paint job?
Only seen brushed metal paint jobs.
The case for rk100 seems to not be brushed
That's why I am asking.
By the way, since this has a battery. Does the same logic still apply? Can I take all the electronics out of the case then just paint the case directly without risking damaging electronics?
Yeah
Closest example image I could find.
You think a texture like this would be good for a cyberpunk board?
What switches do you guys recommend?
I'd like it to sound like metal hitting metal.
clicky boi like outemu pheonix perhaps
clicky boi?
clicky as in the type
3pin/5pin
5pin is nice to have but the 2 extra pins are for stability, you can put 5 pin switches in 3 pin boards if you clip off the extra pins
Do you know how many pins the RK100 uses?
I just realized. Does the RK100 Pro not come with a wrist pad?
So any 96% wrist pad will work?
yea
So that I have options. Are they any bigger RGB metal keyboards you guys would recommend?
Because I'd like to have that extra space to put like a "CyberPunk 2077" sign somewhere.
Sorry for being so picky. And I do very much appreciate all of the help you guys are giving me.
asking for someone else, good mousepad that's hopefully inexpensive, big, and for low dpi player and for control
any suggestions?
mpc890 kinda chill
Not really tbh
is that cooler master?
nah endgame gear
:)
Is this a brand?
outemu is a brand, pheonix is a specific switch
talking about a specific clicky switch
some of the other outemu switches are good, some are crap
Got it.
@neon root what are some good fast pads
cheapo ones
looking at glorious they got the ice for like 12$
razer strider, aqua control II or +, whichever is the faster one, glorious ice is good too esp at that price but it wears out pretty quickly hence why they have it for so cheap now, vancer ice
but looks like reviews are mid
glorious ice is decent, i wouldnt pay full price for it. at $12 its good but like i said, just wears out pretty quick
fnatic dash as well
all those that i listed are like $30~ or less
odin infinity as well
just put a bigger picture of glarses on it
I just ordered a aqua control plus
buying a used wrist rest sounds kinda gross
My wrists get pretty inflamed sometimes so I’m considering it.
yea its kind of hard to clean used wrist rest
if new, glorious wrist rest pretty decent ime
message them and see if it's new or used
wrist rests can get pretty dirty and disgusting, can be pretty unsanitary, so for you own good, I would not get a used wrist rest
think about all the crumbs that can get on/in it if you eat things near it
all the dead skin cells
etc
What’s the best way to clean it when it gets dirty?
Possibly laundry machine, other than that, I don't really know
Yeah crumb are horrible they sneak into the weirdest areas i try not to eat in my room.
I don't think I leave many crumbs by my keyboard but I'm always proven wrong when I clean my keyboard
I like cookies, which does not help
