make sure your furniture is similar in color!! also another thing is- if you put little things (like pots, candles, foods, books) on the floor when they can go on a table, points are docked off

otherwise just make sure the rooms match and stuffff I hope that helps

I'm not sure if an item belongs outside or not, or if it even matters

Like I stuck a big pyramid and a pumpkin carriage outside which I assume increases my island rating, what other kinds of stuff can I use to spruce up my outdoor areas?

the type of item doesnt matter as long as it can be "placed" it counts, so any and all furniture. When I was going for a 5 star I was surprised to learn any "dropped" items take away island points like weeds, pumpkins and other NOT furniture things. hope this helps!

My basement, turned it into a forest/relax room.
I have the forest background sounds going, gentle music, the tub makes flowing water noise and the gyroid of the coffee dude in the museum is on the wall for owl noises.
I normally keep it much darker, but turned up the lights to help others see whats there. One of the pics has a filter, so it looks different.

Something I'd recommend you (and anyone open to suggestions) should try one day is instead of devoting an entire room to make a Bathroom, use divider walls in your bedroom to include a bathroom. It saves so much space in your house to make some really fun rooms.

I'm looking to make my first room (particularly my living room) with standards themes regarding the HHA scoring system.
I understand I should go with a theme (I picked living room and living room/retro items) and try to sort them in a unique color (brown in my case, orange if it comes with two colors), I also completed my first whole set, the vintage one, with no duplicate of any of it's pieces.
is there anything I'm missing?

Also, regarding "colors", my retro stereo is called black when I go customize it at Cyrus, but on Nookipedia, they say the Black version's colors are actually brown and beige, whereas the "brown" version one is made of orange and black.... so it's very confusing if I want to go with a unique brown theme color... If I want actually it to have brown keyword and the HHA points, it mean I must go for "black" version, right? 🤔

You could design your home similar as none of the furniture here is really dlc locked but you@will not be able to recreate that little counter/wall/pillar divider as those are HHP exclusive and cannot be traded

Ahh gotcha, yeah so as you progress you actually get the walls pillars and counters as DIY recipes (the more materials you donate to Niko the more styles you unlock) - they work as any other craftable item and be used in your personal home, they just can't be traded

They all fit fine even in the smallest rooms! This room looks like a regular house that's been upgraded (judging by the doors). If you've upgraded your house it should fit with no issue!

I finally got to add the blue marlin dish, Carpaccio di marlin blu, to my restaurant. 🙂 Think I might change up the food layout a bit, making one table have fancier things and whatnot.
