I think you're switching the names around. item spinning/rotation was a 2player local where you could put any 1x1 item on a table outside, rotate it, and the other player could pick it up or something similar, never did it myself but that's the basic one. the first "table dupe" was a 1person one, 2x1 item on a 2x1 table inside and it would auto rotate and duplicate if you placed it on the side of the table. the second version of the table dupe that many of us still have set up (you can use it but not make it) is a refined version of that where you can dupe two 1x1 items at a time, usually crowns. most lucrative dupe was mailbox dupe which was 2player local and you could dupe any item that you could mail to someone

placed furniture has an origin point (top left tile of it no matter the size), the origin point needed to be offset (moved .5 of a tile) because the game forgot to stop bamboo shoots from growing under offset origins. once the buried spot was there you could dig it up, at that point the game wasn't checking for if that spot was valid to terraform so you could drop the height (drown) or raise it (cliff). the rest of the item follows the origin point. there's extra stuff about the other item tiles having to be dug but I won't get into it because the origin is the relevant part

if an item has an invalid texture, then yeah they could easily change it to render the item's default texture. doesn't work for items that have missing textures like sumo lmao. then again, you could mark some other flooring's texture as the default and just use that.

1.5.1 Patch Notes

All Harv's and plaza items have been removed, the Construction Hat as well - but the Construction Hat will stay on wand outfits as long as the outfit is not changed.
Wrapped critters, bridges, plants and inclines are all now wrapped tree branches.
Other items that retain their Japanese name, like Nookphones, maps, and the hacked KK songs are now also gone.
The only obtainable hacked items left ingame are the camo items and unobtainable DIY recipe cards. Bridge and Incline kits can also be picked up, if left unwrapped, but must be used to be removed from inventory. Luna gyroids and mailboxes are left ingame, if owned previously.

Some pre-existing Bamboo Gates and using OOB glitches to get to the ocean from the river have been patched out.

Everything not mentioned here in the 1.5 post is still valid!

was an online chat with Nintendo America, but all they said was they had to escalate this problem to Administration team.

In the first reply, they suggested me to sell or discard those items, and there's no specific solution possible.

I wrote back that I couldn't interact with the items at all, and sent links from google drive to the screenshots, but they said they were not allowed to open such attachments due to security reasons. And again, there is no solution to modified items
