Any tips on things to think of when planing out how much space some houses will take up with garden and decor?

Want to re-arrange how my island looks and as it is now, i have a lot of open space in which i feel i could probably space out the houses a bit more.

You could use a custom design to make like a grid so you can plan the spaces out on your island (like just make a red square, later on just remove the designs after youre dome)

Also check pins to see how many tiles the buildings need

this is just a suggestion but instead of having the waterfalls all in a straight like you could stagger them by making some forward and some back or even separating the falls by putting back land in between them. i hope my descriptions made sense

Plant items are really good (ie. Hyacinth lamps) and pretty much all the wood & mush diys! Like log stool, log table, mush stool, mush lamps, etc. think it’s easier to place trees down (the cedar tree 🌲 or normal tree 🌳 ) before placing items that way you have an idea of how much space you want/need. Bug models from flick are also really good, like butterfly models.
