Looking for some feedback on this dress I custom made. Should I leave the top part how it is or should I cut off the neck area and match it with my skin color?

I think because you have a "V" shaped slit on the bottom of the dress, the top of the V neck is repeating that sort of shape. I would say maybe make it more of a bodice+make it higher/rounder and less V shaped (see the torso of these example pictures below) with the matching skin tone or round it out and make it more like a tshirt.

This is probably a silly question but how do you place custom patterns on your island like a wall? For example I've seen someone build a library on their island, but I'm not sure how you would do that without placing the pattern down as a mannequin or on an easle

not a silly question! you mean like the first two photos below? that would be using a simple panel item. You save your custom pattern you want to use and then customize the simple panel so it reflects your desired pattern.

For the library: that would be the wooden bookshelf item, that isn't a pattern! Let us know if you have any more questions, always happy to explain 🙂

how do you transport a image to your island from computer

you mean scan a pattern from your computer to your island? you would have to download the Nintendo app on your real life phone or tablet device and use the QR code reader:

For transferring an image, you would have to upload it using websites like: (acpatterns . com) where you can import images. You click "SAVE as qr code" and it should generate a QR you can scan with your phone/tablet device app.

you must have a nintendo account for this though. and you must connect it to your switch for it to work! once you scan it, you can choose the option to import it into your island.

so just to simplify:

1. use a website to generate a QR code for your image
2. download the nintendo app and log in with your nintendo account
3. scan the generated QR code for your image using the nintendo animal crossing designs section within the app on your phone/tablet
4. in the game now, you should be able to choose what design slot to send it to in game when you go into the design app on your phone

The app also has a photo function that you can upload images from your phone to the app, but im unsure how clear it generates the images.

if you search "ACNH leaves" ACNH flowers" "ACNH stones" on pinterest there's a TON. 😄 im pasting a couple of maker codes here, but hunting stuff on pinterest has always given me really good results.
You can also just make a transparent path with nothing on it if you dont want to clutter the floor but dont want flowers to grow in the area.
But if you do want to fill things in, petals, flowers, stones, and leaves work well!

use the path laying tool, go to custom designs and just trial and error. It's fiddly but you get used to it 🙂 can lay them over default paths or just on the ground depending on what looks best

Ok I finally found something similar to the dark wooden planks I can't find lol. The ones I saw had more holes though, no leaves and had (narrow) vertical crossbeams you could see through the gaps. If that makes sense. Also they were I think a bit more angular on the broken ends like it looked sharp. Obv I could make more holes but the vertical beams I'd probably fail

I think it's because the photo you have there's hedge fence and bushes right against the path also it might spread out into 3 tiles at the doorway

It's hard to see that part past the bushes but usually I do this with paths

But the Incline takes 2 spaces and the bushes path take 3 so it looks weird

You could have the path being two tiles but then at the door it's sort of 3 at least I think so on that type of house

May be being rash but you could replace the incline with a ladder, or two ladders with a space in-between for some kind of decoration
