The flimsy and stone axes will only get wood from the trees, you need the axe or the golden axe to chop them down

It's super easy to get the golden axe recipe too, just break 100 axes. My preferred method is buying 100 flimsy axes and smacking them on the same tree until all of them break.

Buying them will cost 82000 bells, but it's worth the investment for a golden tool recipe. Easiest one to get in the game

Since you have all of them, you're already able to get all the reactions and diy stuff that specific personality types have to offer. it's really up to you which one you want.

Although Im pretty sure there are subtypes, like for example the lazy villagers. One will talk more about bugs while the other will talk more about food.
