preetty much, the main gimmick is being able to change between kid and squid form. kid form for attacking, and squid form for submerging in ink, which allows you to move/recharge ink faster

Have you tried taking your time and separating your island by sections? It also helps if you realize every piece of art looks like a 5 year old drew it until all the details are added. Completely normal to get discouraged at the beginning when it doesn't look as good. I personally found separating my island into sections helped a lot. I also don't move on to the next section until I'm done, but I do find myself going back to sections later to add more details. It's also important to remember comparison is the killer of joy.

Are you aiming for 3 star right now or 5 star? For 3 star you’ll want to get at least two villagers in addition to your starters, the mandatory campsite villager, and the three that Tom had you build furniture for. I usually try to plant 100 flowers scattered all over the island, place all the 50 fence pieces that Tom gives you, have two bridges or inclines, and put a piece of furniture in each of the major grid squares on the map. The island also needs to be as free of weeds/trash as possible and have at least 30 trees.

Yeahhh one of the distractions i do is visualise somewhere in the world and pick something like ‘lamppost’ then jump to another location and pick something ‘completely unrelated i can see e.g. bench’ and then keep going untik i fall asleep. But like try not to put any effort so youre not thinking
