Upgrade your tent to a house.
Complete the DIY workshop with Tom Nook.
Upgrade Resident Services to a building.
Tom Nook will then phone in to introduce you to Lottie to start the beginning sequences of the DLC. You may need to wait for a new day to roll over to get this cutscene.

Pay your Nook Miles debt, give 5 critters to Tom Nook, build Blather’s tent, build the first bridge, build Nook’s Cranny and complete furnishing the 3 plots.
If you’ve done all of those things, then Resident Services should upgrade after your 5th villager moves in

Rusted parts can be obtained the day after Gulliver visits your island: If you fulfill his quest, there will be one in your recycle box the next day. (Or if you choose to dig up the 5 communicator parts but not give them to Gulliver, then the next day you will have 5 rusted parts)

As far as "preventing this in the future" here's what I recommend: Only let one person on your island at a time, so you know exactly who is there and when. Additionally I always recommend to play things safe. Don't drop your stuff until they've dropped their trade item and you've taken a look to ensure that it's correct. For larger and more expensive trades, I'd recommend trying to utilize a Middleman (See #middleman-rules‼️) to avoid potential scams

Usually they put it on immediately if you hand it to them, but also knowing what they can and cannot wear is important. Villagers can wear shirts, sweaters, dresses, most hats, and glasses. This leaves out shoes, socks, backpacks, and pants, though they will still accept these clothing items.

If they’re not wearing your gift, then it might not be an item they like. Some of the time a villager will only wear items that follow their style and colors.

No, the required items just aren't required in remodels anymore. And you also get less poki for remodels than doing a completely new home, IIRC it's something like 50% and only once a day per vacation home

Also the shovel has a slightly faster frame rate than the axe so I personally recommend the SHOVEL. And along those lines digging a row of holes behind where your character stands usually helps buffer you so you can get all 8 items from hitting it (or at least have a greater chance of doing so)

Time traveling does not reverse / rewind progress. You still keep all the progress, items, etc. that you've completed / acquired even if you time travel backwards.

If you're used to the time traveling consequences from the previous Animal Crossing games, ACNH surely has LESS consequences, not nearly as drastic. Going backward... just don't do it while villagers are in any stage of moving in or out, and if you have turnips they'll go bad if you go backward. That's about it

Remember, a good rule of thumb is that the game "progresses" a day whenever Isabelle gives her announcements. So just make sure you trigger that and have the villager either in or out completely, then go backward to do what you want

Nope. The day will reflect the date/time you move to, but certain things require Isabelle's announcements that you only trigger by moving forward. For example, if you have a bridge that's paid off today and will be built tomorrow... that bridge gets built "when Isabelle gives her announcements". So if you went backward 6 months for example, you'd be in winter time, but that bridge will still be paid off ready to be built because it hasn't hit that trigger yet.

As far as the treasure islands go, I'm assuming those are the ones with the items sprawled everywhere. From what I have read, Nintendo doesn't have a way to track the number of items that are out on the "market" per-say. So, how could visiting one of these islands or using one of these drop bots get my console banned?

Treasure islands are islands where players can pick up any items, with or without a fee. Be aware most of these islands are hacked, be careful of what you pick up.
On this server you are allowed to advertise your own treasure island, but not post to ask for one

Things you shouldn’t pick up are:
any kit (house, bridge or incline)
Any blue gift present or lost item
Item with Japanese characters if your settings are not japanese

Well the thing you should be careful of the most are items that you shouldn't have. For example, on these treasure islands, things can be dropped that should not be droppable, like bugs and fish. The game isn't supposed to be able to drop and pick up those as dropped items, so you run the risk of your game getting confused and bugging out for stuff like that.

(also just... I don't recommend going for bugs and fish on those islands because while you can donate them to Blathers, it only fills in your Critterpedia if you CATCH them, so it's not even worth it imo)

Which villager the bubble lands on is just based on luck, sadly. If you are just time travelling day by day, looking for bubbles, you aren't doing anything wrong so you're just having pretty bad luck.

Though something you can do to increase the odds of the bubble landing on your target, is to take a non-target's house moving kit in your inventory for the time you are bubble hunting. This way that non-target can't get a bubble 😉

They work the same as any other amiibo. It’s just that they came with sanrio items, when you scan them all at the same time in harv’s photopia you’ll unlock all the sanrio furniture and posters in your catalog

NPC visitors will stay the same if you were on same week at all points. Weather is the same. Campsite visitors might not be there if you had one and if there is one, it won't be the same
