basically a minigame to solve a maze; your inventory is emptied and you need to reach rover. you can reset the island by calling the rescue team from your phone; they'll take some miles as payment.

To give a more in-depth answer, Celeste will only give you one DIY a day, no matter the island you talk to her on. 😗

The gifting option unlocks at the second friendship level (might be third, not 100% sure I remember right). In any case, you'll unlock it by talking to the villager on a couple different days. You also can't give gifts when villagers are sitting, fishing etc.

Once the campsite villager has fully moved in, ask Tom Nook what you should do next. He should then introduce the island rating system and the fact you'll need more villagers so from then you should be able to buy the plots of land from him

Yep as soon as the plot is down you can go hunt. Its advised to hunt on the day a plot becomes empty (more relevant when you start moving villagers out) as subsequent days have the chance to be autofilled by random villagers

It'll be the next day. "In boxes" refers to when the villager spends the day in their home sweeping up and all their furniture is in boxes, hence the term. During this stage is when someone else who has an empty plot can come and ask that villager to move to their island

You're correct about your guess, the first five villagers on your island will all have starter interiors like Sasha here. Sadly, only ways to update the interior are to move the villager out, have someone hold them for you and move them back in, which resets their home, or if you have the DLC, you can reset the interior by talking to Isabelle once you've completed the DLC's story. 😗

• Shooting stars only happen between 7 pm and 4 am. There are two main types:

She can visit weekly as long as you have a meteor shower (either light or heavy). If you have multiple showers within a week, she'll prioritise heavy showers and visit on one of them if she can.

There has been some reports that she doesn't for some reason appear on Sundays when thats her only valid day to spawn, but I've personally tested that and not had an issue with her spawning so its unclear what's going on there

I’ve read some tutorials on how to transfer resident from one profile to another profile (same switch) but I’m honestly nervous of losing it all. My other son started our island where we are residents.

it can be sold reaching 5am; if you don't play online it might not be; but if you play online a lot it surely will be, because of your move in queue

I agree with Nours, but I think even if you play offline, the plot will autofill by 5am the next day. I believe the game grabs the time off your switch when it is booting up. You can wind your switch clock backwards before opening the game so the game time never reaches the "next day" if you don't want the plot to autofill.

Not sure if that’s possible. You can drop items for the new profile to pick up and you can change the appearance but you can’t change the player’s name, unless you have yet to make the new profile to transfer to

you can't change the main resident's name; but if you erase the main profile the next profile without a character will try to fill the void on that profile. so the main resident can change profile associated with it, but you can't change it's name

Correct! And my OTHER child has a profile and is the main resident. The profile her character is on is in a profile of another child who has already linked to Nintendo online. I have her fresh blank profile on the switch and linked to Nintendo online. I just wanted to her character (3rd resident) onto her profile. (All same switch)

Okay so as far as I know the only way to do that would be by deleting the switch profile her in-game character is currently on (so it would mean deleting your sons switch profile) which "orphans" the in game character
Then when opening the game from a switch profile that doesn't have an in-game character, they're given the choice of basically taking over the orphaned character or starting fresh, so she'd choose to take over her character. This is what Nours was trying to hint at

Unfortunately I don't think there's any other way to go about this and your son's profile would have to be deleted from the switch to do this, which in turn I'm not sure then what would happen to all his game saves and stuff on other games and if they'd be able to be recovered.

The only other practical solution I can think of is:
Have her go onto her current in-game character on your Son's profile and drop off any items/bells she wants to keep outside on the island somewhere, then delete the character from the island as a whole (so go to the main menu and press the - button to speak to Tom Nook), then start fresh on her switch profile and when she's set up she can go grab the stuff her old character left.

The only downside to doing it like this is she'll lose all the DIYs she's learned, all the stuff she has catalogued, her current Nook Miles (unless she spent as much as she could and dropped what she bought before deleting the character) any bells she doesn't drop outside, as well as anything within her home. She'd also have to pay off all loans she's already paid off too (and if you have the HHP dlc and she's played that too, she'll lose all her progress there)

The Bamboo mystery island has a 10% chance of appearing so if you have tickets to spare then go for it.
Daisy Mae also occasionally sends you bamboo shoots in the mail after you purchase a certain number of Turnips from her (can't remember the number for this off the top of my head)

I'm not 100% sure to be honest. Looking at Yues friendship guide (https://yuexr.github.io/acnh/friendship.html page 6), at most you'd probably lose 3 points with her which is minimal in the grand scheme of things. You'll never decrease in friendship levels with villagers, points can only be decreased to the lowest amount for that level (i.e if you were level 3 with a villager, you can only decrease down to 60 points at a minimum)

Easiest way is to empty it. @alpine coral - forgot to reply to your message

Villagers in your MIQ won't appear on mystery islands (but with the RNG nature, you'd have to spend thousands of tickets in order to find out who doesn't show up)
They also won't appear on your HHP beach if you have the DLC (which means you'd have to do all the other houses to find out)
They also won't appear in your campsite (but with a max 20% chance each day after 6 days of no visitor, again would take a while to figure out who's in there)

• I have 2 switches, each have their own islands.
• I want to sell the SECOND switch but backup my island from it and restore it on a new switch, without doing anything such as overwriting the FIRST switch's island.
  How would I go about doing this? Is this generally possible by just copying and pasting the files on the micro-SD?

as long as the interior of their home (and clothing) remains their default, they’re considered ungifted. and if i’m not mistaken, they don’t display fossils in their home, so they’d be considered ungifted. might want to err on the side of caution and only gift them the larger fossils that they definitely won’t display, if you want to be extra sure.

Kind of, A villager who is highly gifted may go for less than one who is ungifted

I think this is in reference to the villager’s clothes and house decor (someone correct me if I’m wrong pls!). So if a villager is highly gifted, then they may not have all of the default clothes/decor because of the gifting and the villager’s limited storage. Villagers who are ungifted go for more since they will have all the defaults (like if you encountered them on mystery islands/amiibo/look up their info on a wiki), and are untainted in a sense. So for trading, most people would prefer the villager with their defaults, hence, the preference/higher value for ungifted villagers. Hope this helps!
