Yes, so that just indicates you don't have anyone in your Move-In Queue, so the game then rolls for the chance for the plot to be sold (a 20% chance iirc) each day until the plot sells. This could take a few days or a while longer before the plot sells. But as there's no way of knowing if you have villagers in the MIQ until they move in, we will always recommend hunting for villagers on the first day the plot becomes empty to avoid any unwanted villagers to move in

If you have an unsold empty plot, they will appear on mystery islands which you go to with Nook Miles Tickets, or you can adopt villagers that are moving out from other peoples islands if you have Nintendo Switch Online

You can't change the name at this point, however you can remove that profiles home from the island.

In order to delete a secondary resident, start the game and, while you're on the homepage (watching a villager walk around), press the "-" button while logged into that account. This will cue Tom Nook to bless your screen with his face, and you can talk to him about deleting the player from the island.

You can hunt for them on mystery islands using NMTs before you complete the furnishings of the plots. If you complete all the furnishings, the game will automatically fill the plot with a random villager. If this is the case, they will eventually move out

Nope, it just removes the resident thats attached to the profile you're on. It removes their home and everything they will have had in their inventory

Timezones don't affect anything like this. Could be a NAT type issue (check yours in settings -> internet -> test connection). Make sure to also open the gates for anyone (choose "invite anyone" when opening gates).

AFAIK, that's impossible: the highest turnips can sell is 660 bells each, and an inventory slot can have 100 turnips max, which would sell for 66,000 bells in this case, one inventory slot used for that money

You unlock it when you unlock the whole tool, you just press X on any polish to use it as the animation base for your design, and then choose the design you want. I agree that it's too hard to notice though, I too thought for a long time that you'd unlock custom designs later. The only mention if it is at the bottom of the screen with the other contols.

A secondary player on the primary switch should be able to visit the player on the secondary switch (even just using local play) as long as they're different accounts. As for the expansion, I'm not actually sure. My assumption is she should be able to play it if its bought on the primary switch, although it'd have to be the DLC separately from the NSO+ expansion (unless you're both on the family plan of that, or both have it separately). And it should also work on the secondary switch too as it'll be your account where its bought logged into it

Not really, the spawn rates of both Tarantulas and Scorpions was reduced heavily so outside of the Tarantula/Scorpion mystery islands, they don't spawn as much making it take longer to get some decent bells. Below are more effective money making ways
