Does anyone know how to get more fruit? I've been on a bunch of islands with my tickets and I have only gotten pears, peaches, coconuts, and bamboo. I am trying to get oranges.

FAQ: Fruits

• What is my native fruit? - This is the fruit that will be on your trees when you first start the game. Your native fruit can also be bought from Nooks Cranny.

• What is my "sister fruit"? - This is the fruit that you find on a mystery island called "rare fruit island". This fruit can be sold for more than the native fruit at Nooks Cranny.

• What fruit does my Mom give? - Your mom will mail you a fruit. This can either be a new fruit that you have not obtained yet or a random one.

• How do I get the rest of the fruits? - You will only be able to obtain 2-3 fruits by yourself. To get the rest of the fruits you need to trade with other people. This can be done with your friends or with people in #fruit-vegetable-trade! (You will need the Trade role, which can be obtained in #721542917264638002.)

• Coconuts and bamboo are available through mystery islands! 🎍

due to how Nintendo controls game sharing, you need to open up ACNH on the account that purchased it on the device you got for christmas. i'll spare you the details unless you want them, but as long as you're doing that you should start with a brand new island/save file on the new switch. don't worry about backups because you don't want to transfer over your other island, so it's not applicable in this scenario.

If you have a digital copy of the game, and insert a physical cartidge into the primary switch console with the digital copy island, your main/original island will turn up, despite on the home menu is being listed as 'physical'

It's not too bad once you understand the limitations of your secondary devices and know how to properly transfer your profile over. As long as the profile linked to the account that purchased ACNH is on both devices, you can game share your singular digital copy.

Yes, this is the way Nintendo has decided to control game sharing. If they allowed all normal permissions for a digital game on secondary devices, one person could buy a digital game and distribute it to everyone that wants it with no repercussions.

The only limitation is that you can only have one human player on your new island (unless you go through and switch the primary/secondary console status)

Howdy. I’ve noticed since the update/ DLC that my game is running slow and objects don’t always appear when I first place them (they usually appear after I walk away from them, tho, knock on wood that continues) . Most concerning is that game is started just straight up freezing. My game has been laggy in the past (bc clutter core) but the freezing, That’s never happened before. Anybody else experiencing this? Anybody have any suggestions?

We're certainly no experts on Switch hardware or issues like lag, but from what I can tell this doesn't sound like normal lag (wherein items just sorta spawn in slowly when you're in frame with them). I would definitely consider contacting Nintendo support if that's an option for you, as I don't think there's any troubleshooting steps we could offer that could fix your problem.

Those are all of the requirements, they haven't changed since we discovered them. You could always try deleting the game software and DLC and redownloading it to see if that fixes your issue. Also, you're the resident representative i assume?

I started playing by moving onto an island already created by my niece. She only has 4 residents, and I want more, but there is no campsite to do so. How do I fix this? Tom Nook doesn’t offer help.

Only the Resident Representative can manage new housing plots, the RR of her island needs to talk to Nook and say “let’s talk infrastructure,” then “sell some land” to place a housing plot. Then, anyone can go to a mystery island and invite the villager on the island to yours, or Nook will assign a random villager if the plot is not filled by the next day.

Anyone got any tips to get over the Cast Master achievement? I always get halfway and then lose the streak and it's one of the few subconscious things about this wonderfully relaxing game that I dread every time I open it up 🙃

There really aren’t any, you just have to keep trying. What I’d do is not prioritize it and just keep fishing for other reasons. With this, you’ll get it eventually without rly realizing you were going for it, which makes the process more bearable.

Very few things in this game can be rushed, especially Nook Mile achievements

to restart, you go into your data management and erase the save file in your switch account, not from inside the game. as for nooklink, log out of the app and once you restart your island, go into game settings and connect your new account. your old account will sadly still appear on nooklink but you just log into your current profile instead

Gifted means that a previous or current owner has “gifted” them items (furniture, clothing, etc) vs the villager has never been given anything before. It’s a lot easier to get rid of unwanted furniture and clothing of gifted villagers now thanks to 2.0, but people usually prefer ungifted so they can have all their original items/clothing

It sounds like you’re just experiencing very bad rng. You can do nothing wrong with the moveout method since it’s a natural process in the game, and nothing can keep a villager from moving out besides what Bella asked about. Time traveling only speeds the process up, so just keep trying and you will eventually get it. It’s rng based, so it’s just randomized

yeah, should have said it's a chance of one spawning every 5 minutes. usually if you run along the beach on the correct side when the minutes are a multiple of 5, you'll see the next balloon, if there is one

for just earning friend points, doesn't matter. but for a chance of getting their photo (at high friendship) it has to sell for at least 750 bells, which takes a lot less if it's non-native (just 3 coconuts or 2 of anything else)

If it were one or two items, or at least if it was circled I think this would become less of a daunting task, perhaps try searching for a bit first and come back with those you just cannot figure out? I would implore to use websites such as http://catalogue.ac to first identify items by name, i.e. perhaps "chair" or "stool" and see if any of the results match. The filters on there also works very well, especially for colour and helps to identify items.

You can do very little to affect their friendship. Hitting/pushing them until they're angry or gifting them trash will lower friendship points but it will not lower friendship levels, which renders the tactics almost useless.

The base rate for flower breeding/cloning is 5% so it could take some time... You can also have player visitors do some watering to increase your chances

Not sure anyone has tested, and I would think no (since nothing except coconuts can grow on the sand and nothing spawns in it except manila clams and Gulliver's communication parts)
But you can always test by watering and seeing if the puff of smoke appears.

So it looks like the campsite itself is placed on a terraformed layer with a wooden plank custom design on top, as for the items, from back to front I think it’s loft beds, simple panels, and bamboo partitions. As well as the log incline, of course. Hope this helps!

• Visit Nook Miles Ticket islands (mystery tours). These islands always have rocks you can hit for materials.
  -Trade with other players if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Make sure you have the trade role from #721542917264638002, then visit #materials-and-tools.

I always take payment first, then allow them to go to the villager to adopt. If you want to be 100% safe however, you can organise one of our server middlemen to be the middleman for the trade. Just read the rules in #middleman-rules‼️ then request one in #request-a-middleman🛎️🙋‍♀️ (just be sure to talk to the other person too to make sure they're okay with having a middleman too)
