I just did a quick search and the only thing that’s dependent on hemisphere is the solstice stuff. SH had winter and spring flip flopped. So if you look at the NH summer solstice dates, your game will have winter solstice stuff then instead of summer and vice versa

kapp'n should be on your island already after you download the 2.0 update (on the pier) and you can get brewster after you donate at least one bug, fish, fossil and art piece to blathers, just make sure you go speak to him :))
