A and B share a game, but A owns the game. A wants to restart but does not want to touch B's island. I assume B is on another Switch. If so, if A resets on their own Switch, B's island will stay intact, as the game is saved on the Switch console itself, does not have anything to do with the account it's linked to.

you can open the map to see who is on your island. The sold sign will tell you who is moving in. If you let the day lapse into the next day, then someone will automatically move in. If you are going to do a villager hunt, then make sure to time travel back to 8am of the same day when you are done so that it doesn't lapse over. (It changes at 6am i believe but 8am is a good safe bet)

So what you want to do when you want to get a specific villager is time travel to the early morning. Place the plot, search all day until you find who you're looking for, then if you don't find them, time travel back to the early morning like 8am of the same day. As long as the date doesn't roll over you will be able to continue your hunt over multiple days.

That's exactly why it happened. The day switches over at like 5 or 6 am. So you should have time travelled back to the AM so that when you woke up, it'd be the same day in game and the plot won't have sold. There are several youtube videos that show you if you have a better time following videos versus text. But yeah, I've done it multiple times. Actually just had to do that for about 4 days because Raymond showed up at my campsite so my BF needed to kick someone off the island but it took like 2 days for a villager he was okay with leaving to go LOL

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but the seasonal Kapp'n islands are locked to certain dates in both hemispheres. So the mushroom island, for example, is Nov 30th in the Northern hemisphere and May 31st in the Southern

Yes you can, you just need the update, not the DLC. Once your house has the 2.4k storage upgrade (obtainable after fully upgrading your house), you can purchase the external storage from the Nook Miles Redemption service.
