You need an unsold empty plot in order to invite villagers. You can keep the plot in your inventory until you find someone you like in #701251557458444395 for example, or if you've already placed it you may need to time-travel to keep your island on the same day as it currently is right now in order to prevent it from possibly auto-filling

No, so the first 6 villagers will always be: Sisterly and Jock as starters, then Peppy, Lazy and Normal as the furnished plots, then Smug from the campsite

after that you're free to have whichever other personalities you want

the campsite villagers (after the scripted smug one) are more likely to be of a personality you don't have yet, so that's the game's way to give you the missing personalities I guess

If my mother where to transfer islands, can I send another villager over to the new island and they still maintain the friendship?

If I start a new island on a new switch, can I create it under the same nintendo switch I'd that the first island is on? I guess I'm wondering that can I have 2 islands under the same ID on 2 switches for online, since I have single person online.

Question 3:
If question 2 can't be done, ignore this.
If question 2 is able to be done, can I play locally between my island representative from "old island" and "new island" despite them being both under the same nintendo switch I'd? Or would I have to use "Character 2" to transfer?

Then it might autofill, it's almost guaranteed to autofill if you play online since your move in queue would be full.
You can to stay in the day when the plot is empty (5am to 5am the next day), if you load another day in between it would fill

You can even find the same villager that just moved out on your following hunt, and any hunt after that. And with a TTing friend they can adopt your villager, put it in boxes via time travel and you can adopt them back in the same spot they just left. Absolutely no restrictions when it comes to booted out villagers!
(Altho unless it is your actual villager that someone adopted and you then got back from them, they will be brand new copies and not know you)

They will then move in when you finish all the furniture

You can fill those plots from the second day onwards (where the airport opens and you get a free ticket), you actually don't even have to wait until Nook talks about plots.
You have however much time you want to fill them by not finishing them, they get autofilled the moment you finish the items for them.

So if you build the lazy house and leave the rest, the lazy house will immediately get sold even tho all of them are not done. They will never be sold if they are not completed so there's no need to time travel if you want more time, just don't build them!

You need to go hunt and choose villagers before finishing the interior and exterior items. As soon as a plot has all six of its items, it gets autofilled unless you picked up a villager before that.

• You unlock K.K. Slider concerts and the Island Designer app (terraforming) once you achieve your first 3-star rating.
• You obtain the Golden Watering Can DIY once you achieve your first 5-star rating. Also, lilies-of-the-valley can spawn as long as your island keeps its 5-star rating!

__ •• How do I get a 3- or 5-star rating? •• __
• The basic idea is to fill your island with plants and furniture, as Isabelle usually suggests. So if she says to add flowers, do it - or at least, wait for them to be fully bloomed (to get the max points from them) ; Same thing if she hints at adding furniture.

I've been resetting my island for two days now to get a nice south+east map with a blue airport and apples... is there any chance that the new update will let us change airport colour or move resident services?

so for Halloween, I need 12 pieces of candy to give to a resident, so they'll give me 4 lollipops. I then give 3 lollipops to Jack for his DIYS and 1 lollipop to a villager for the Sppoky Candy Set.
I'll need an additional 9 candies. 2 go to Jack to receive his face and robe. 7 go to residents to receive DIYs.
Is that everything?

Yep, since you can't report yours yourself, and there's no way to remove them... You could also use a simple (dummy) design to replace it, as AFAIK, villagers do not wear those

simple design: any design that isn't a Pro one (simple are the square ones that appear as a tank top when used as clothing), and I said "dummy" to mean a useless or blank design

Quick question about the game, I've never paid attention much but is there set weather? And if so is there a day in the Northern hemisphere where it's a clear sky, I really need star bits

Weather is set for your island (i.e.: if you have a thunderstorm on day X, TTing back to day X will always be a thunderstorm for your island) but it's different for each island, as the game uses a hidden value called the weather seed -created along with the island- to determine your island's weather and shooting stars

Well, the weather types of your island are easier to distinguish around the x:00 hours, since they blend more or less from hour to hour... And if you have doubts, you can always use on of the 'unsure" options

if you have any cliffs on your island place a shitton of random different furniture behind it so you cant see it, and it will boost your stars

That's how it's always been, but it actually makes sense this time. There are 24 special cards in this series and 24 normal cards. The old series had 16-17 special and 83-84 normal. You can see now how the 1 special 2 normal makes much more sense for this one, right? The special card also have bigger use now than before since we can call folks into The Roost and build homes for them, which is unique to the cards, while normal cards are just an easier way to get villagers.

The absolute first villager should be smug, but there have been claims of it being other personalities (with Nook using male pronouns for a snooty, according to one person, so probably a bug)

You buy rewards from the Nook Stop, you can buy clothes/furniture that can only be bought from there. You can buy upgrades for yourself and your nookphone (such as more hair styles and pocket space) or you can buy Nook Miles Tickets which can be used to go to mystery islands

I'm not too sure what specifically counts as a size 3 furniture tbh, but you get a bonus for things that are worth over 2k bells (https://catalogue.ac/?s=Y2F0ZWdvcnk9aG91c2V3YXJlczptaXNjO2J1eS09MjAwMA==) and an extra if they're worth over 20k bells (https://catalogue.ac/?s=Y2F0ZWdvcnk9aG91c2V3YXJlczptaXNjO2J1eS09MjAwMDA=). Those two links provide details with those things. You could maybe try and make use of these and see how you can get them to fit in with your island
