When they say "tomorrow" they do mean the next RL day. Days roll over at 5 AM local time. That said, it uses your Switch's system clock to determine what time it is. So if you really wanted to, you could change your system time to the next day to skip having to wait, and set it back afterward. This has some repercussions, such as turnips spoiling and weeds growing, but it's entirely up to you whether it's something you want to do or not!

you can actually go to the next/previous day and then go back to the day redd was there, his inventory will be changed. (make sure to not exit the week though, it won’t work if you do that. npc scheduling for the week is done on monday, so you can’t go monday-sunday-monday)

as far as visiting NPCs goes, yes it should be accurate. if you saw saharah on the loading screen, she should be somewhere on your island. where exactly, i think that isnt the same as what the game shows you in the loading screen. like if the loading screen shows her in the plaza, she might end up in the far corner of your island when you actually load in

there's a cooldown of 15 days after the lastest who moved out and a 5 day cooldown after you said no to a villager asking to move

As long as you have 6+ villagers those should be the only conditions for that method (the lastest villager will never ask out)

I have a question about online play/communication errors… Does it happen sometimes that items just completely disappear during a communication error?

My situation: Someone came to my island, got DIYs (put in pocket), and left. After the airport screen, we both got “communication error.” The DIYs were no longer on my island, and they weren’t in the other person’s pocket either. I’m so disappointed that those DIYs literally disappeared 😭
