Are you able to get a villager from someone’s campsite or do they have to be in boxes?

Visitors cannot adopt villagers from other campsites!

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.

also if you have them the next sunday they will also rot

For dodo codes : dodo codes have nothing to do with your friends.
You can only be friends with people you're already friends on nintendo switch online (on your profile) , once you visit you friend becomes available in your list.
I'm not sure about the game sharing part, but you can have your own friend list on your own account in general.

yeah, when someone else has a villager moving out, they're in a stage known as "boxes" where they're packing up to leave

at that point someone can go and talk to them and convince them to move to their island

so most players use that opportunity to sell their villagers

No, friendship levels can't be lowered by anything afaik. It may lower friendship points (but I'm not sure) but the points won't go lower than their friendship threshold (so e.g you need 30 points for level 2 friendship, and so once you've gotten between 30-99 points, the point amount cannot go lower than 30)

Hey all wondering if someone could help me with a question regarding the nintendo online app for acnh. So I have a dream address for my old island, its hooked up to that nintendo account so when I go into my app I can see how many people have visited, HOWEVER, I have started a new island and once I have a dream address for it I want to be able to see that island on my app instead of my old island. My old island was not reset, I have 2 switches so I was able to use the same copy of the game on my new switch to start a new island without having to delete my old one. Question is, will I need to delete my old island to be able to have the new island hooked up to the nintendo online app? I dont want to have to pay for another nintendo account.
