• Shooting stars only happen between 7 pm and 4 am. There are two main types:

• Heavy meteor showers: These are usually announced by Isabelle and discussed by villagers, with stars shooting in groups of 5 to 8 roughly every minute or so during the whole night. These are pretty rare, averaging around 10 per year.
• Light meteor showers: Only a handful of 5-star groups shoot each hour, if said hour has a clear sky. These average between 5-10 per month.
• Note that weather patterns use a seed and are set in stone for your island, including when the shooting stars will appear, to the second. You can use Ninji's MeteoNook app (https://wuffs.org/acnh/weather/) to help determine your seed and get your weather and shooting stars forecast for your island.

Did you put the furniture with each house placed? They have a lil box you have to put them in

you'll be able to buy land 10k and invite from other player, or find villagers on mystery island (if you have currently an empty placed plot)
Only one villager per day on nmt islands, but as many as you wish from other players

all empty plot can autofill 24h after they are placed, so the next day at 5am, especially if you play online

for the one you built they autofill if you complete it and haven't invited a villager with the corresponding personality I think

And you were supposed to be able to get the candy once a day from Nook's, but since I installed the update they're not selling them anymore. Is there some other way to get candy now? I tried to go back to spooky day 2020 and the event didn’t trigger. Can I not go back?

just once you scan a certain number without inviting anyone it'll start dropping the oldest ones and it'll take them 3 days to move in again rather than however many days you had "stored" if you go over the limit
