Yeah you will be able too after talking to nook after you place the campsite villagers plot (if you havent already) then he'll tell you ur town needs more villagers and u can buy plots for 10,000 bells each

There's a couple nuances here due to the way Nintendo does transfers and game sharing, hopefully I'll be able to highlight them and answer most of your questions.
-Your second resident will only be able to be a second resident if you move them over to your Switch. They cannot be the Island Representative, so do keep that in mind that you'll have to start a new island first, then move them over. -Since you moved your island from your Switch to your Switch Lite, it no longer exists on your Switch at all. If you boot up a copy of Animal Crossing, it will be a new island.
-If you have a physical copy of the game, you can just pop it back into your Switch to start a new island. If you have a digital copy of the game, you can still re-download it on your Switch, but you will only be able to play it when connected to Wifi due to Nintendo's game sharing restrictions. You'll also need the profile that's connected to the Nintendo account that purchased the game to be the one that redownloads it.

• Caps (not helmets): Caps in the game are tagged either as free or womanly. Male villagers will only use caps tagged as free and gifting them 24 womanly caps will replace other caps from their storage.
