I think you should be able to play on two different islands if you have two consoles with no issues apart from the fact that the cloud saves might override each other all the time, so you might need to disable it on one of the consoles. And when playing in multiplayer, the two consoles cannot be both playing online at the same time and cannot connect to each other locally, but that's true for all games and not just ACNH.
I'll do some more research though as ACNH do not behaves same to most games lol

Either you boot them with a camper (amiibo or not), as all your villlagers have an equal chance to be asked to move out if you convince the camper move in when having all plots occupied so you can just reset their choice until it falls on the desired villager, however that method does not leave you with an empty plot; or you wait until they ask themselves to move out randomly, but they cannot do so if they were the last villager to move in and the villagers with the most friendship will suggest to move out less often than the ones with the least.

You can log into the game with his account and go to the settings on the title screen of the game, Tom Nook will give the option to remove that player from the island there

• Shooting stars only happen between 7 pm and 4 am. There are two main types:

• Heavy meteor showers: These are usually announced by Isabelle and discussed by villagers, with stars shooting in groups of 5 to 8 roughly every minute or so during the whole night. These are pretty rare, averaging around 10 per year.
• Light meteor showers: Only a handful of 5-star groups shoot each hour, if said hour has a clear sky. These average between 5-10 per month.
• Note that weather patterns use a seed and are set in stone for your island, including when the shooting stars will appear, to the second. You can use Ninji's MeteoNook app (https://wuffs.org/acnh/weather/) to help determine your seed and get your weather and shooting stars forecast for your island.
